phil oakey was a regular fixture at meat festivals in yorkshire and the north east of england. he was mainly interested in quite highly seasoned meats.
"We've got to get them into that booth." "Jim, that's not a booth. It's more of a kiosk." Jesus Christ, I haven't seen this for years! Thanks for uploading it. I wish House of Fools was more like this. I want a whip like Bob's!
Thank you for this. I'd forgotten how brilliantly funny this was. A shame there's no DVD and watching it on 4oD is a pain with it stopping constantly and the unskippable adverts, so thanks again for the upload!
Vic Reeves family actually use to use ouija boards when he was younger but the only person they could ever get in touch with was Oliver Cromwell he says. 😂 Listen to his Desert Island Discs.
It truely was some of the very finest cinematography the world has ever seen. I like the red shoes. I like the hedges, however there was some bad language such as "we" and "and" over twice during (and after) several sentences. Electric Russel now works at Matalan on the old old Kent road. He never let fame go to his head, knees or thromboid. Overall I give this 4 and 6 quarter golden melons. Roughly 7 conkers in today's money. I have to go now, back to my sweet sweet eggs.
Still have this on VHS. The thrash metal bit is 'Unfit Earth' by Napalm Death, but what's the little acoustic guitar bit after Simon Day's bit at the start?
I had this on video but since thrown away so nice to see this again. I always thought a series would have been nice. Having said that it's dated a bit and patchy. Catterick was also good and I would like to see that gain.
They were initially offered £300. Bob said "We could have got £400" - and of course he's right as you never accept the opening offer in any negotiation. I thank you.

I wish someone would remaster / upscale all these classics
Taped this on vhs when it was broadcast. Watched it loads of times. Loved it and still do!!!
One of my favorite R&M quality products, complete genius.
One of the greatest works of art ever committed to film ☝️
The very best Vic & Bob, of all time!
Taped it on release and still have it somewhere. 100% my type of humor :'D
The guys in the red jumpers slowly attending the meat stall is truly brilliance. Vic and Bob are Masters of Surreal humor.
Priceless, been looking for this for ages, many thanks.
I like the fact that Vic Reeves plays a character called Jim in this.
The reason for that is because Vic Reeves's real name is Jim Moir.
Philip Oakey looked very good in this programme.
I thought the 1st policeman was Jack Dee, checked out list & was wrong 😎
The Alan Ladd Memorial Heel Bar 😂
Top class, cheers for the upload
my God they look so young here vic and Bob
Cheaper than acid - and you don't have to wait 16 hours to come down. Best bit of Vic 'n Bob ever!
"We've got to get them into that booth."

The weekenders. The holy grail. My sertch is at an end!!!

Vic Reeves family actually use to use ouija boards when he was younger but the only person they could ever get in touch with was Oliver Cromwell he says. 😂 Listen to his Desert Island Discs.

BOILED ONIONS!
I remember seeing this on TV in 1992, four years before I was born, and I thought it was…
no, wait…er….ooh, I’m all confused!
This is apparently from 1992 but I swear it looks like the 70s.
Electric Russel.. lol
Genius. End of.
Couldn't of worded it better.

Russel Dennet of Human League. Watch the credits at the end!
I nearly got crippled at a Napalm Death gig when some arsehole jumped off the amp stack and landed feet first on my head.
Can you imagine what the toilets are like at a Meat Festival.
LOL now thats funny !
😂😂😂😂😂😂
WTF did I just watch?! 😂

Catterick is also on UA-cam. You'll find they reused quite a bit from this in that.
6:45 Bob wet 'em
Is that Phil Oakey?
Yup, it is Phil of the lop sided haircuts.
Tommy Cockles!
Bit of a send up of The likely Lads .... ? A lot more beside though ...(if so ... ).
£300 quid they got offered a few mins later they say it was £400 they were offered for the meat
