+Hamzah Faizullah nah I lost all I'm JV so I was alt I wrestled at 138 but got bumped up to 145 at varsity because our 145 got hurt. Such a big diffrence between JV and Varsity lol. I have another match tomorrow so hopefully I do better. It's all about the experience.

I think you have some great stuff and explain it very well. I have been grappling since 1992, Jujitsu, Judo, Submission grappling, MMA, but never competed in wrestling, I have a wrestling history question, why is there a start from ref position and not just from neutral and then let the match go from there? Thank you for any insight into how the use of the ref position came about.

      It forces people to wrestle.

It has more to do with it being folk style I’m sure when it was submitted high school competition they may have made it more strategic when they created the point scoring system. But that’s me just guessing however in freestyle and Greco there is par tere position but there the top man has a10 second window to initiate a turn and or lift which if in successful is an automatic restart in neutral with no points awarded.

Whats the one move where your the bottom man and you crawl on all fours, roll to your shoulders and kick the feet up to get your opponent on the bottom

4ngry W4rrior I’m shorter than everyone in my weight class so I hit that and the Peterson roll pretty often (grab their elbow then roll) but I like short sits the most try and break the elbow

You could never do this counter to a southern or Russian wrestler because along with fwd pressure you focus your weight on the legs. If they can attempt anything they are struggling and you got the time advantage for a choke or whatever you do. Controlling legs are the key not by hooking ankle but by weight on them. You can ride all day, if you can't then flatten him fast and finish.. rough and tumble bby.
