Hey great video, I have 6 gauge wire running to a 50 amp RV box , can I use that wire to replace with a 30 amp RV box ? Gonna change the breaker as well. Thanks
Quick question for you. Let me preface with, I know nothing about electrical wiring. When you ran your wire from the sub panel to the 30 amp outlet, you made a 90° turn below the sub panel. Why did you need to cut the wires, then use wire nuts to reattach them? Couldn't you just make a gentle 90° bend in your wiring, thus saving a possible location for a short?
Great question. Yes. I could have ran a continues wire. It’s always after when I think of it. As far a short goes. Not worried. Wires are nice and tight and sealed. Thanks for that question.

Yes you can! I would think as long as the wire is for 50 amp using for 30. I don't see why not. I did it. Lol.
@@TSquadRVing lol, thanks
I used to run romex through conduit. I found out that you should only put individual loose wires in conduit due to heat. Probably less expensive too.
That green wire is it a general use wire if I had to get a new one would it be the same wire as the 10/2 one or a general purpose ground wire

That’s exactly what i would have done. One less connection. Also pay the extra money for stranded wire. It can carry more amperage.
Great video, but you really need a cameraman.
Lol. Thanks.
When did you realize you only needed a single pole breaker instead of a double pole?
120v 1 pole breaker
240v 2 pole breaker
