I love how the series' character select screens all use the same drums and general rhythm, but all have a distinct feel. This theme in particular sounds very "endearing". And I think it's perfect, seeing as many fans have been turned off from Soul Calibur since IV. This is like a 'Welcome home' to the fans that are coming back after so long.
This feels like a return to the days where games were a passion and meant something. Dreamcast and the PS2 were master class systems and this theme sounds like something you would have heard playing Soul Calibur on them. It sounds like it has instant nostalgia behind it even though it's brand new. Can't wait to listen in 20 years and think how well this aged.

This beautiful music really brings me back to those days touring the Silk Road in China. The tour guide told us the Silk Road is "the embodiment of hope, love, ambition, betrayal that bridges the continents", which fits the settings of Soul Calibur perfectly.

Nostalgia is why exactly it passes 2. Nostalgia wont sway my opinion when this song is better than the nostalgic one.
Quite honestly, I enjoyed SoulCalibur III's character select the most, but SoulCalibur VI's character select surpasses that.

SoulCalibur VI won't be like V, so we can say that SoulCalibur VI will do great in sales.
