I'd imagine that Desmond found Pieces of Eden that got turned into weapons or something and that they were destroyed at some point according to Shaun and Rebecca's historical documentation.

Venice Rooftops (AC2; original) makes me feel like I'm running in a race (and eventually winning). This SCV version, on the other hand, makes me feel like I'm running towards a bunch of clueless Templars and Borgia guards with both hidden blades extended from my wrists and a confident grin on my face.

tfl1997 That depends on the situation. Ezio and Edward have different skills and equipment. Don't bother counting ship-fighting though. Ezio don't have a battleship.
Boss949 Lol the reasons why he would win are as following: First of all, Edward has been doing nothing else but fighting his entire life, and he's gained more experience in fighting than Ezio, since Ezio might have been an Assassin, but Edward was a pirate. Edward already had a good body at his disposal, while Ezio needed lots of training first, so things came more naturally to Edward. Edward also uses two swords instead of one, whereas Ezio always uses one, or a two-handed weapon. Edward's more ruthless, but he also has excellent defenses while Ezio is cold and calculated. I don't think he'd be able to get past the whirlwind of Edward's blades, though. But here's the thing... Ezio has good senses, true, but he's been surprised more than once. The only time Edward was really surprised was when he was distracted at Teach's decapitation. Edward just knows when someone's on his tail and thus, he, for some reason, always knows if someone's trying to kill him. Ezio, on the other hand, is a little more careless for that matter.

I dunno about you, but Arno (the new protagonist in Assassin's Creed Unity) looks like he's gonna be a combination between Ezio, Connor and Edward. He was described as an extremely skilled fighter and a very charismatic man. He was also described as a new breed of Assassin, deadlier than any before him. And since his story plays after Connor's, that means he's deadlier than literally any assassin before.
