My daughter and I go there a couple of times a year from Fortuna. We usually stay at the castaway. It has the best view of the port. We hit agate beach (actual name is tseridon or something like that). Great place with a cool view of the Orford Reef. Edit: at the castaway, there's a little hand drawn map in the 'things to do folder in the rooms. The map is of port orford and has locations marked throughout the community called names as John's deer or Joe's deer. etc. There are actually gatherings of deer throughout port orford, browsing in people's lawns. The skate park has some cool steps from the road. It's inlaid with agates as big or bigger than my fist and they're sliced to show the inside. I thought that was cool. Never seen anyone at the skate park, but at least they have one.
Such a beautiful Village. I need to forward this to my Grandson. This was my stomping grounds as a child! Thank you for making this Video. Deborah Masterson Amstead
Port Orford is one of our favorite beaches and towns in Southern Oregon. Our family has had a great time exploring and doing some videos on beaches there. We've also enjoyed dining at The Crazy Norwegian restaurant there. I didn't know about the scuba diving. 👍Thanks for the video.
I had a friend from Port Orford while attending UO back in the mid 70's. He and his kind family hosted us starving students several times there. So welcoming - trips on their crab boats and up into the hills. They even brought a pick up full of crab to Eugene for massive party. I was headed there for a camping weekend and learned at a local cafe that he'd died in crash a few days before. We were devastated
My wife and I spent a week there a few years ago. Its a nice quiet small town. We had a great time collecting agates at Tseriadun. The fish and chips were excellent.
Before I moved to Hollywood and got my Grammy nominations and did the wonderful things in music and the other things I’ve been able to accomplish in my life, Port Orford shaped me. My grandmother owned the Pegleg saloon in town. And I grew up munching on port and starboard pizza and hanging out at battle rock. I will always have fond memories of my beloved Port Orford.
Nice video, love port Orford and Redfish restaurant, thank you!
Aaww! Well done!!

At 32 seconds is a house I drywalled and painted when new.
