Several days ago my 2010 Nissan Rogue broke down on the freeway. It was running fine then poof! It just stopped running. Tow truck driver looked at it and said it was probably a dirty MAF sensor. Maybe had a bug in it. When I got home I pulled it out and sure enough there was a small dead bug in the sensor. I blew it out and put it back in and it's running better than before. No cleaner necessary.

One thing I didn't know before is that if you take off your MAF sensor and put it back on, it needs to be "relearned" which is a tricky process when done correctly.
But sometimes you can disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes then re-connect and it will reset itself.

That can shoots straight and narrow for about 5 feet.. You actually shoved the nozzle inside the MAF - if you hit the sensor you have a very high chance of breaking it.
Mass air flow sensor cleaner dries in about 30 seconds from soaked BTW

I just bought the 07 c6. Performs very well. I put the throttle to the floor. Check engine light lit up. Stopped at Autozone. They have free diagnostic check. The code came up as bad mass air flow sensor. New sensor $85 changed it out in the parking lot. Stopped for fuel, the engine remapped, light went off. Screw cleaning it. For $85, WELL worth it for piece of mind.
