The hydrophobic chemical they use to get that behavior is now gone clearly but how do you know youve got it all? JIMBO, Try using WaxPlanet Eight Below and you will see how it breaks down waxes and sealants much faster. I cannot tell you about removing Ceramic coating products on them since none had but per dilution ratio I think it would also remove them. Xoxo from Puerto Rico 👍🇵🇷
Thanks for another education car care video. You definitely touched all the bases on why i am considering stripping my paint sealant (Fusso Coat). I want to take it off primarily because I want to do a better paint correction on the vehicle with Fusso. Dang stuff is nearly indestructible! I came across two spray strippers that might work. Duplicolor and Rustomeum both sell an aerosol stripper/paint prep. Have you ever used the products? If not, would you possibly consider a review. I think it would make an excellent review? Thanks very much!
I have learned seal n shine and any other coating that has ceramics should be polished off, too. Brian from Apex suggested a chemical product from TAC systems would remove relatively fresh seal n shine, but I can't find their products for sale anywhere.
Jimbo have you tried out the new Dawn Powerwash that comes in a foaming spray bottle as a strip wash? If you haven't you should try it out. The same way that you have been using the APC's. Spray on the panel and on your towel and wipe it in. It's VERY effective unlike the regular liquid soap that won't touch fresh sealants.
Griot’s Foaming Surface Prep would probably remove Seal N Shine. I used it the other day and man is it powerful stuff. I may have to try it on S&S in the future just to see if it can remove it.

I need some help and a few concerns. I bought a new Toyota that came with a Toyoguard sealant from the SE Distributor. I want to ceramic coat the whole car but not crazy taking 205 to a fresh clear coat. I am new to detailing. There are no swirls and therefore no paint correction needed. What do you suggest to remove the sealant so I can apply a polish before applying the coating. I am familiar with the ceramic coating steps but getting to bare paint is my issue I need help with. If seal and shine is placed over a ceramic coated car, will this method damage the ceramic coating? Or how do I remove the Turtle wax coatings from a ceramic coated vehicle?
Hey Jimbo, not sure if you’ve done it already, but could you test exoforma spray ceramic 6h coating. I bought a bottle and applied it to my car just for preliminary testing just to see how it holds up to the daily driving before I dive into some serious testing. However it looks like I won’t have much time, if any, to put it through it’s paces anytime soon, maybe you could do a review on it. After seeing the results of their ceramic shield product quite some time ago on this channel, I wonder just how durable and effective the product really is. Thanks again from a long time fan bro.

I’m used turtle ice seal n shine on my grey car for the first time but I was wondering when do I reapply it , thing is Though I wash my car every Saturday so do I reapply then or do I give it a months like it said on the bottle or what do I do
After a few layers of Seal & Shine is it necessary to remove all of it in order to reapply fresh. Or can I just keep going with layer upon layer? I’m not clear about this.
@@diggersdiecast8879 yes, I know you can layer it. That’s what I have done 3-4 times now. I’m asking “how many times” I can layer it. Can I go on layering it 10+ times, etc. or is there a point where I need to remove all the old layers? I would guess after a few times (less than 10) complete removal is necessary. That may be necessary after only 3-4. I’m just trying to get a better understanding.
Depends how deep the scratches are obviously but most compounds paired with either a microfiber applicator or short pile microfiber towel should work. It might take more than one try but I have used a lot of different products and had good results. I will say that if it is by any rubber trim you either want to make sure that you tape over the trim or pick a compound that says it will not stain trim such as Optimum Hyper Compound.
