Absolutely horrible wipe off! I wiped it using 2 microfiber towels, first was damp and 2nd dry, and there was still residue left on the panel! I even used IPA and I still couldn't remove it. I ended up buffing it with a soft pad and Meguiars Polish with my DA and I manage to remove most of it. It was a nightmare! BTW it wasn't sticky/finicky paint. I have polished it using Meguiars D300 and the wipe off was so easy. Heck even koch chemie h9 was easier!
If you are looking for something which is easier to work with, I highly recommend Meguiars D300. It has similar cut and the wipe off is so much easier. The only reason why it doesn't get the respect it deserves is because it is an older compound. I have used it as a one step and IMO its even better than 3D One, which is also great, but again the wipe off is not as good as the D300.

  • @richscott2483

Both Turtle Wax and Mequiars auto care products are owned by 3M. I don't own any power tools for buffing/polishing and do not have the pads either. Why are people so afraid to use muscle power? One & Done does remove the lightest and slightest scratches and watermarks. It is far from Paint Correction or BarClaying/Decontamination. One & Done is for people that need a simple and quick improvement, which can be done even faster with a Detail Spray, like Turtle Wax Ice or Adams Detail Spray. The biggest culprit in damaging your vehicles paint is driving your vehicle through Automated Car Wash and Touchless Car Wash. Your vehicle takes a pounding and torn/rip your vehicle apartas the car wash uses bad hard water, harsh chemicals, high pressure water rinses, high CFM drying, and cheap wax that might dissolve in the next rainfall or melt off from the sun. Don't overpay or get PPF "paint protection film" or Ceramic Coating as they are a waste of money. Do yourself a favor, manually wash and wax your own vehicle like the days your grandpa did. Only wealthy people can afford to pay an Auto Detailer.

Have a question. The Maxshine 550 shows it as a 3’’ polisher and the pad your using looks like a 5 or 6’’? I’m looking for a rotary and I just wanna make sure I’m getting the right one..

The M550 comes with a 3 inch pad...but handles a 5 inch pad just fine.

Superb turn around for that Lincoln, and awesome demonstration of various techniques/approaches. One question, how does the 1 and done compare to LVR 503 Dynamic Cut?

Nice video Brian. Can this product be used to remove swirl marks on a gtechniq ceramic coated vehicle? If not, what product would you use and what type of pad would you use. It's for a 2018 Chevy Suburban. Thanks your help.

Brian you are so transparent and honest best detailer on UA-cam.💜💜💜🙏 I hope that owner gets educated on how to at least use a touchless car wash or even a self serve wand spray wash or they won't have much clear coat left for the future.

Is TW the only brand going after our favorite UA-camrs? Truly enjoy and purchase their products, but when you get all your favorite detailers 'pitching' their goods at the same time just makes you wonder.

Again....I am not pitching. Just sharing my experience. What you do with that is completely up to you.

This stuff looks very good!!! I can't wait to test this out on a job! How would you compare this to 3d One?? I love 3d one for the same versatility being able to cut or polish depending on what pad. Seems they are similar.

@@apexdetail85 I'll admit that there are amazing products out there from a lot of companies, and I'm also old enough to remember what Turtle Wax was back in the day. With that being said, I can't believe people won't accept the fact that some of the new products from TW are top notch. I have 25 years in the automotive paint industry. I've painted and color sanded and buffed more vehicles than I can possibly count. What I'm seeing from TW is absolutely mind blowing considering who they were 20+ years ago.

Turtle Wax is really trying hard to get me to use their products exclusively it seems. I used to never consider any of their product line but my mind has been changed. It doesn’t hurt that everything you touch turns to gold, Brian! I think you could probably make even a mediocre product work half decent. I’m going to be trying this very soon. Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas to ya, buddy
