TW has 3 things going for it. 1. You can buy it almost anywhere, you don't have to go through boutique dealers or distributors. 2. Price, it undercuts almost everyone. 3. They are good products especially if you compare to high-end brands.
i always liked TW. Their Hybrid Solutions is really legit and well priced, they've stepped up their game last couple years
This was a fantastic video! Jumping to different pads, showing what needed the second step finish, and using a black car that had trashed clear made a perfect recipe for the best tutorial. Many thanks !
Turtle Wax has been putting out great stuff for over the counter sales.
Very impressive results on a black vehicle.
I can’t believe where they’ve come from. It’s not a brand I have ever taken seriously; until now. They are ahead of the game now. Great technology.
@@FuManchu5ltr Don't let the vehicle in the video surprise you though. Yes, it's a fantastic product but that black car looks like a 2 year detail vehicle to me....I could be wrong though.
@@GSP-76 whats a 2 year detail vehicle?
@@MarkSegree meaning it's a car that gets detailed regularly. If so, they are easier to make look great again. If you have a 4-5 year old car that hasn't been detailed, this product may not work as good as others.
@@GSP-76 1:27 He said its a MKZ only a few months old and the scratches is from running it through an automatic car wash daily. Even if the car was 4 years or 8 yrs old I still don't follow you though. How does it makes a difference if a car was detailed before?
As a 15 plus year detailer. I love that he didn’t pick a light or bright color to favor the situation for the video. When you pick a dark green, or black paint job. You have a better idea the amount of work a detailer does.
I got this from Ollie’s for 6$ an they have the graphene max for same price. Crazy how I found some old labeled iron decon bottles for 6$ as well. So half a gallon of iron remover for 12$ lmao
The Turtle has really flipped things around. Thanks to great products in the hand of guys like Brian and Pan, they are starting to strut their stuff. Nicely done.
I love coming home for lunch and apex uploads!! Happy lunch 😂😂
@Casper Gomez cali boy here!
Can’t wait until spring to use this whole line.
🙏🏾
*Turtle Wax IMHO embarrassing the competition dollar for dollar...Brian would you say a MUST HAVE on your board IMHO nothing is beating this combo and add to it the Graphine Wax OMG! We are truly living in a great space for correction finish and protection applications.*
Absolutely... can't beat the price. One of the last Family owned American companies..
Brian this is the exact video I want to see to get caught up on the new products that Turtle Wax has to offer! Thanks so much again for being such a valuable asset to the detailing community!
Hope all is well! Have a great holiday season!
I'm 3 years late seeing this, but am grateful to have seen it regardless of when it was 1st posted!! I am not a pro detailer, just a lady who likes to keep her ride clean, shiny and pristine. I also enjoy learning about how to maintain/preserve my ride from experts like you! Cool and informative video, btw. Awesome results! I ❤❤❤❤ the TW Hybrid Solutions Line of products!! Will be sure to use their Precision Platelet 1-And-Done Compound when I'm ready to put a ceramic coating on my car. Thanks for posting!
i always laugh when I drive by the local car wash and it's packed. More business for Brian lol
Indeed!😁
Ironic, ain’t it? Short term, it creates an illusion that the car is cleaner, dirt and mud are gone. While simultaneously destroying the paint job.
If they live in apartments that's the only way to wash their car.
@@gonad84 Yep. If a car isn’t muddy, you can do a hoseless wash anywhere. Or go to a self-service wash and gently clean the exterior.
@@craig.encinitas absolutely! No excuses for using a wash tunnel with all the great tips, products and techniques you learn from Brian and others these days.
I can only imagine the grin on the owner’s face when he/she saw the finished product! 😁😳🙂😀🤩
I can only hope he/she stays away from the wash tunnel and subscribes to Brian's channel! That paintwork was shocking.
Brush washes should be like cigarettes - come with a warning.
Brian you are so transparent and honest best detailer on UA-cam.💜💜💜🙏 I hope that owner gets educated on how to at least use a touchless car wash or even a self serve wand spray wash or they won't have much clear coat left for the future.
Thanks for the honest review. You always take it up a notch with different product to show the true results.
WOW, the difference on those A pillars; very impressive! Another great job Brian!
You have validated TW. They said we would be very happy with their new products and that has proven to be an understatement. Who would have imagined TW beat 3D. I am so impressed and can't wait to get it in the rotation this spring. Wow, do I enjoy your videos. I check every day to see if you have put out a new one, oh who am I kidding, I probably check every few hours even though I am on the automatic upload! :-)
I know this is a yr old,but just came across this vid ,and i gotta say yet by far best vid I've watched about paint correction, very well detailed, as i have a black vehicle this going help me much to achieve what I'm trying to,,much appreciated this vid and very well put together 🙏
That looks fabulous Brian! Awesome work.
I used 3D1 and finished with theTW Ceramic Hybrid Polish and got very good results and I am an amateur enthusiast. I suspect Brian would get even better results with the new Pro Line and the Ceramic Hybrid.
Brian, who would've thought that Turtle Wax would be the brand to have a product that compares to 3D One? Wow!
Great work as always.
A pleasant surprise!
A very impressive turnaround Brian , Turtlewax are really on a roll with the product range they have .
Thanks for making 2020 bearable Brian!
Brian’s name is spoken in our household with reverence, my kids know who he is and do not watch detailing videos!
I know right? The intro... especially the old one. My kids know my habits better than I do.
Looks like a winner!
That flip top cap would drive me nuts.
ikr I hate that
@@danvird8649 , I just received mine, and it has a nice pull-up/squeeze cap.
I totally agree the TW flip-caps are annoying (and quite fragile, too).
I think TW is listening to our feedback! 😎
@@PuckHead00 - Excellent!
I still have some older Menzerna bottles with those caps. They suck.
The latest Jescar bottles have them too.
@@danlc95 ... for sure, and this TW cap is just like the one Sonax uses (always loved that feature). 👍🏼
It is definitely going into another bottle.
I love your channel. You and Pam are a great ( Probably the best 2 resources.) source of intell for vehicle detailing. With further experience I might create my own channel in the future.
So appreciate the instructions without all the other 'talking'. Like this way of making video. Also think will try 1&D but without machine. Hope can do.
Great review and love how you demonstrated with different polisher bands. 👍
Excellent presentation of how to use the product. You guys whom are presenting this product are doing excellent job.
Brian, thank you for showing the versatility and assorted results with this compound/polish. I have recently corrected 2 older cars that were as bad if not worse than this Lincoln. I was astounded at the versatility, work time and final results. I primarily used the Urofiber and orange pads and was completely satisfied with the results. What I was most pleased with was the actual shine that the one & Done produced. Made the sealant-wax applications so smooth & easy - not to mention the increased gloss!
I’m really impressed by this video. Thanks. I’d never guess that this new line would be as good as it is.
Great video! Gonna take your advice use up my old stuff first!
Just got this in the mail today after ordering on first availability. Seems like Turtle Wax is really overwhelmed with demand. Might want to order now if it's a present for your detailer.
That is a sexy little Lincoln.
Awesome info and thanks!
I'm surprised you did not do your different grades of sanding marks test, the one pass back and forth.
Brian. Greetings from Rochester NY. TW has really stepped up their game. This looks like a great product.
Thanks for taking the time to put this info out to us.
Hi Brian, great video just wanted some advice please, if you use the compound to remove scraches etc would then using a black finish pad make it more glossier? Or like the name suggest one and done does it mean it does the cutting and polishing all in one?
Brian ,bought the Turtle wax 1 and done, now I need to purchase an orbital polisher. What would you recommend for a weekend warrior. Just going to be doing my personal, family vehicles.
Thank you
Wonder if can be used in the outside or hot pannels... like polish and wax
I will certainly be trying that this summer!!
@@MirandaDetailing Hey Phil, how’s it going?! Good to see you on here! 😁
You should never apply ANYTHING in the sun or when the panels are hot. Always when the car is cool and in sufficient shade. Preferably at night.
What ever the product, i'll be happy as long as it's effective, versatile, low dusting, easily accessible, and reasonably priced.
Well said. A 32oz bottle of 3D One came in recently. So it will be awhile until I buy this. Nice that this finishes down a bit better. But I am reigning in my “gotta buy it all” purchasing. 🤨
@@craig.encinitas i love the smell of 3D one personally. :) For me it nearly exactly the same price has 1 and done.
OFF the HOOK again Brian......................Keep it up !
Brian, how does this compare to 3D One? You answered the question during the final comment section, thanks again Brian for all you do for the world of detailing!!!!!!
Certainly appears you got this car to at least near triple digits Brian? Seems this is a great product for pros and enthusiasts alike!
That close up at the end was like a black mirror. I need my black paint looking like that.
WOW I was about to get more polish and watched this, going to get One & Done for sure. Great teaching as well.
Turtle Wax is really trying hard to get me to use their products exclusively it seems. I used to never consider any of their product line but my mind has been changed. It doesn’t hurt that everything you touch turns to gold, Brian! I think you could probably make even a mediocre product work half decent. I’m going to be trying this very soon. Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas to ya, buddy
I have switched over to all Turtle wax products, This polish is great, and a finish of using the New Graphene liquid wax. Car came out better than new...
Very well presented and calmly spoken. Well done. good teacher. Thank you from UK.
Hi Brian-I've enjoyed your videos and I hope you keep making more. I'm about to try the TW 1 and Done on my '24 Subaru that is just under 1 year old. In general, the paint is in very good condition, having had TW's Flex Wax applied regularly every other wash. Just want paint to pop, just want to remove that TW coating, and want to remove a few imperfections. Silver metallic color doesn't show swirls too badly. Which pad type would you recommend? Thanks.
Brian, really great video, I liked how you told us which pads you were using for given defects. I also like that you did these as a group. I'm looking forward to seeing more on what this can do. An amazing product, 3D One's competitor, and let's not forget this will be on the shelves of Walmart.
Nice video and very good product... IIf I wast to use this with the flex wax, how long is the cure time before I can add the paint protection layer??
Beautiful results. Awesome work .
Thanks for doing all the TW. Much respect and appreciation. Good job Brian
I'm definitely gonna have to pick this up as I'm starting to run low. I don't do enough paint correction anymore to justify buying more M105 & M205
Either that Ford paint was really Butter Soft or this stuff Hazes really easy!!!!!! ill stick with 3D one and Angelwax Perfect Polish , But Kudos to Turtle wax! !!!!! with paint getting crazy softer...products like these are now a necessity !!!! Thanks Brian!! lotta work in there!
Its soft...and getting softer by the year.
It's no wonder they call it one and Done! It's a well rounded excellent versatile product. Beautiful job on that finicky piano finish. Just missed out on the order, can't wait to hear what other people have to say about this product. Great showcase video Brian!!
Been debating between this and the DIY Detail gold standard for a non dusting 1 step polish. Both have good reviews but for the money and availability I think TW takes the win.
I am very surprised at how versatile this compound is. I think 3D Speed is still my go too for a 1 step but this is really nice how you can use the same compound with different pads. Might have to look into this.
Always great watching your videos!
Great video really helped me a lot. I have a question. I’m wondering what hardness is the paint on a 2018 Lincoln MKX is.
Hi Brian, I love your videos and even did a correction on my truck this fall after you inspired me that I could do it myself. Will this product work in direct sun in high temps like some other TW products. Also have you ever done a video on Adams Graphene ceramic coating? I purchased this product this
fall but was unable to apply it due to weather. I plan to doing a lite jeweling in the spring then attempt for the first to apply this coating. Thanks again for for all your experience and videos.
Yes...works just fine in direct sunlight. Just the spray coating so far.
Very helpful video. Do you think i would get away with just using the 50 /50 pad on a harder paint, such as on a bmw?
Outstanding demo and explanation!
So impressive! I have all the lake country foam pads and after seeing this I’m confident I’ll get some great results when using the one and done
Hi Brian. I enjoy your informational videos. There are so many on UA-cam. I have a 2006 Mini Cooper I want work on. I’ve never done anything but wash and wax by hand. Are there videos that would guide me through the whole process using 1&Done.? What equipment should a budget minded beginner buy and how to use them?
I know that car.lol.another great video and product review good friend. it's sad u have 2 mention ur not sponsored by any1 .with the county in disarray there s always a few trolls and jerfoffs watching ur family channel.quick suggestion.dont watch it.we are here 2 help all that want, need help or lookn 4 new techniques and products.u and Jr are killn it.b well good friend 🍻🍻🍻🍻
How was meeting Brian? I saw the post on the Apex group
@@henryfreeman6113 like meeting ur favorite ballplayer .known him 4 about 5 years met him in his other shop.great dude..
@@richardseem7948 I know. I want to meet him!
Just the answers I was looking for, which pad is required with this product to resolve a variety of problems. Thank you.
Good video reference one and done maybe you could do a short video. Reference what pads you use with one and done. Brand and cutting ability would be helpful. Thanks for the help keep up the good work
Hi brian, if using a euro fiber 50/50 would you recommend a white or black pad to reduce some of the haze I notice in the video you followed up with white, but also mentioned black? Thank you!
Looks great. Fantastic gloss.
Thank you Brian for a great video.
I have this channel on auto like!👍👍👍👍
Very nice! Can this cut like M100? I'm thinking about trying it on a car with rough paint.
Brian is One and Done strong enough for paint transfer on bumper panel . I know its pad dependent Let me know your thoughts when u have time.
Beautiful refinish (probably better than it left the factory) but I wouldnt expect for anything else. All I need to do is wait patiently until the Turtle arrives over here..
Great product. Looks like you are using that Torq da15 polisher quite a bit now. Must be a well liked polisher to make the rotation.
It actually does a great job as we get closer to the last finishing step.
I have the Harbor Freight 20v cordless orbital buffer and I've only buffed my car with a wool bonnet and then I remove the 1 step compound with a microfiber cloth... Is that bad?
I can't put anything else on the buffer besides wool and microfiber bonnet's
I know this is an old video. Hopefully u can still reply. I'm thinkn of getting this because it seems easy enough for somebody that's never done this before. My question is, can I apply a ceramic coating after this product? Thank you!
That was excellent video. Question: on your 550 rotary, what size backing plate, and what size was hybrid wool pad? I just got a Maxshine rotary and practicing. Not doing so good yet. Lol. Just a beginner but want to learn on practice panel. When I watch you on that rotary you make it look easy. But nope, its not!.
Superb turn around for that Lincoln, and awesome demonstration of various techniques/approaches. One question, how does the 1 and done compare to LVR 503 Dynamic Cut?
Combined it with a blue hexagon foam pad (extra hard) from turtle wax, and got very good results on my black metallic Passat 2017. Extremely hard clear coat on that car it seems.
Hello can I apply this product by hand if not can you recommend some thing my car is garage kept the paint is great condition
Planning to use this on the windshield. i have seen it being usedin the website of TW. Would it be good?
Hi Brian...love the videos and have been trying to get the finish you had on the very for my 2018 black silverado. Because it's a 2018, the paint is in good shape but trying to get a finish like the vet and almost flawless mirror shine. As you know, the factory paint is good but it has some slight choppy or waves I'm trying to eliminate. Just bought some 3D speed and have some 6" urofiber pads on order. Also waiting on the turtle wax one and done to arrive. I'm willing to work the MANY hours to achieve that close to flawless finish but not sure what to invest my time with for product. Perhaps you can advise me so I can make the long effort with the desired results.
Thank you!!
Great info. Learned something new today!
Awesome workmanship Boss 😎
Wow! Looks great! How much (ballpark)would I expect to pay for paint correction like this on a bmw 3 series 4 door? Car looks great, but some fine “scratches” from wiping down.
Brian, have you ever used any of the 3D spider pads?
I have minor spider scratches on vehicle, does not need a lot of work with an aggressive pad. Would black orange pad be better, or your recommendation. Thanks
Have the kit on order! Curious to see what it does on my white paint!
Brian, this video was a tutorial on how to use the TW 1&done, thank you for your experience and generosity for car care.
What polisher do you recommend for a beginner? Cost isn't a big deal to me. I am avid hobbiest detailer but paint correction is new to me. I finally have a garage so it's time to do some correction no more wash bays for me.
Love it!! Technology these days are amazing 🤘🏼😎
Anorher great video! I have a variable speed random orbital polisher. My truck is black with mostly light imperfections bordering moderate. In order, which pads would you recommend or a 2 step process using the one and done?
What a great video! So informative! Great job 👏
I actually have the same car and also black but don't have a machine would I still get a good finish or u would recommend something else like 3D all in one product
Can both, precision platelet correction and graphene wax be used on headlights and taillights? Of course no dull plastics, but on all gloss plastics, can these two products be applied?
The 3" white foam pad used on bumpers, you said was a medium cut. What brand and model or type of pad is it?
I have found Lake Country white foam pads with 1 & Done, and 3D One, on soft clear coat to work good. Does not get out all imperfections, however that clear is very thin.
Hi kind sir. I just bought a super cheap rotary
And I'll work with a Mitsubishi so very soft paint too (shes a 2year old, i wash her every 2 weeks)
Im thinking of using one n done or uno protect
And also I'll buy a local branded foam pad (not as good as rupes pad i suppose)
Theres a
Heavt cut(purple)- medium cut (yellow) - Polishing (orange) - finish (black)
For using one n done would you suggest like a 2 step yellow -> orange or orange ->black?
Im planning to polish the car every 4-6monts tho
Thank you so much
What kind of pad should you use with this for best results? A cutting pad or polishing pad?
Great video as always sir. I plan to get this when I get my polisher and do some correction.
Is it water-based or oil based?
