I sell and aslo apply ceramic coatings to yachts in South of France, to remove we use a chemical solution whose base components are Ammoniumhyrdodgen fluorid and Citric Acid. We apply and leave it on the ceramic coating overnight then wash off in the morning. It removes any ceramic coating very easily!!
I just redid the ceramic coating on my Mustang... I did a full decontamination wash, and removed the old coating using Jace Price's The Last Cut + with a Griot's microfiber cutting pad. I then polished the paint with CarPro Essence with a Rupes yellow foam pad. I did a wipe down with Gyeon Prep, then applied the GTechniq Crystal Serum Light/Exo V4 combination. It came out awesome! It took 11 hours over two days
I buffed and polished my truck and then I began a touch up job for rock chips. It's been weeks since I started the touch up job since it rains every time I want to work on the touch up. I figure something like TW ceramic spray is better than nothing at all. I wanted to coat the paint since summer is almost here and slowly work on all those rock chips. I don't believe the touch up paint would stick to a coating, so I need to remove the coating. It's also black and was truly horrid after 20 years. It is looking far better and you're videos have helped me with my truck!
Your timing of this video is so perfect for me, THANK YOU! I have used Armor Shield ceramic coating on my cars as I am an enthusiast but have gotten into detailing for the last four years. My son’s black 05’ Lexus ES 330 is an “outside car” that lives in the driveway. After two years of the coating with every 3 months getting a ceramic spray to help keep it alive, the flat surfaces are starting to loose their hydrophobic properties as well as the surfaces have a lot of contaminants (tree sap, stuff, etc.). I was told never to clay but not why. I tried Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover last weekend to get the little spots off and while they all got smaller, they were still there. What I did notice was all of the flat surfaces were holding the water and none of it was beading or sheeting quickly. While the horizontal surfaces all still look great and bead water like crazy, I think it’s time for a polish and re-coat. Again, thank you for answering these questions that I have been wondering for the last two years since I applied my first ceramic coating! Really helpful!
To answer your question, you don't clay an existing coating because a clay bar is an abrasive, and by claying you run the risk of damaging the coating's surface and hence the properties. That's why we do more chemical decontamination on coatings, with maintenance shampoos or alkaline snow foams, iron removers, etc. When a coating starts to show signs of weakness, you could wash the vehicle, decontaminate chemically, use an IPA to prep the surface, and apply a fresh layer of the SAME coating. Or, if you want a clean slate, or want to change coating brands for something new, you could do a full wash and chemical decon, claybar, and then machine polish for 100% removal and getting a clean slate to work with, IPA wipe and then apply a fresh coating to restart from scratch.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for the reply Pan! I plan to decon and polish and recoat. It gave me two good years outside in the Atlanta, Ga sun and heat. I do enjoy the work of detailing and I guess I’m OK at it as many comment on my cars and ask if I would do theirs. Thanks for the incredible education you provide to us all!
I actually share your videos with people I talk to that might not believe what I'm telling them. I will always like all your videos and comment, they are worth far more than the effort that takes. So much good information.
Amazing video Pan! I've been super happy with my ceramic coating. Yesterday was the first time I washed the car and the two week curing process came to an end. All the bugs and road film was so easy to remove. And the water behavior is awesome👌🏻

This was a phenomenal video Pan! (I’m the guy paying a professional to do this but need to learn post-care for the years after). Especially stacking coatings on pre-existing ones after they diminish. 👏

Pan I always get geeked out when you deep dive. I listened to every word and I 💯 agree with you. Mother Nature is dishing out a lot of pain to paint so coatings are essential to protecting our rides. I have no idea who coined the phrase layers of protection but layering protection is how I personally protect rides. I coat then top with a coating topper then use a drying aid and then top monthly or more often with wax. Thank you for an awesome video Pan!

Fantastic content. I've so far stayed away from ceramic and have been sticking with Larry Kosilla's AMMO Reflex. Works all the same, easier application and doesn't last but a few months and works really well in those few months. But removal of a ceramic...that's a daunting task!
A very informative video, Pan, thanks for sharing! A lot of useful information here, as I am approaching 1.5 years for a couple vehicles I have ceramic coated (Avalon King Armor Shield IX), and was wondering what the process was when the coating has reached end-of-life. Thankfully, it should only take a light polish to remove it, so that's good to know. Thanks again, and keep up the great content!
Thanks Pan! After finding your channel months ago, I got into home detailing after taking delivery of my new car. With the help of your videos, I applied my first ceramic coating, CarPro CQuartz 3.0 UK on a few cars now! I've found that the flash time for the 2nd layer is usually very fast compared to the first layer and can cause issues if you do not level it within 30 seconds (or if you don't catch a high spot within a minute in bad lighting) Eventually, I basically had to re-do sections of an entire vehicle because there were high spots in a lot of panels so I had to spend a few hours with the DA polisher and compound and then re-applying the coating.
@@PanTheOrganizer On the driveway of my house, in Toronto so the humidity and climate is similar to Montreal. I try to work on shady afternoons but generally very warm 25-30C. I've learned a lot from your videos ans other detailer but there's nothing better than doing it yourself and learning from mistakes...even though some mistakes cost hours of time to correct :) On a side note, I use TW Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wax as a top coat, I saw your review on it. It seems quite good as a topcoat, it was either that or P&S Beadmaker. My hope is that it'll help with the winter road grime and salts in the winter. It has definitely helped removing bug guts. I've started doing interior and exterior detailing for my friend's cars too! In your opinion, for a daily driven car that you intend on keeping, do you believe in annual rustproofing (Krown, etc) for climates such as QC and ON? Thanks!

Thanks Pan, was just wondering today whether a finishing polish would remove a 1-2 year coating! Thanks for looking out for us DIYers - your 'affordable polishers' vid is up next haha
Very helpful video! I'm getting a new car in the spring. I want to apply a consumer grade coating that should last a year or so (I only less than 5,000km yearly). I'd like to just reapply the coating yearly rather than having to polish off the old coating
I would always recommend stripping and starting fresh, as that's how you get maximum durability and performance. Wash the car, iron decon, clay, machine polish (the only way to ensure 100% removal of an old protection is by machine polishing), panel prep spray and apply a fresh layer. If you don't care about durability or performance as much, you could in theory just wash the car, use chemical decon to remove embedded contamination like brake dust, perhaps clay if the paint needs it, then panel prep, and reapply a fresh layer of the protection.
@@PanTheOrganizer durability is not as important for me as I drive less than 5,000km yearly. I've only got a basic DA polisher and I'm not at all experienced when it comes to polishing
Hi Pan. Wow, great video again. Love it. Something is new for me and difficult to some videos i saw. Beginning at minute 18:45 you say, that if an existing ceramic is still okay but lower performance...i do not need to polish! Perfect decontermenation is enough and i can layer another ceramic...? First time i hear that. Everybody says, NO WAY! the hood will be milky, not a good bonding...sometthing like that. I am confused now. Next spring, after 2 years, i wanted to install a new ceramic. Car pro uk 3.0 with gliss on top is still working but it subsides. No problems wirh swirls or high spots. Paint is very well. It would be very good if i do not need to polish, only propper decontermenation and install another ceramic coating.😊
Thank you for sharing good information. I have some questions. 1. is there way to remove ceramic coating without using polisher? way to do it by hand manually? 2. Since you mention clay bar could damage/cut ceramic, can you use clay bar procedure to purposely remove ceramic? ( I just need to remove certain area, not whole car ) 3. what is best way to remove ceramic coating on the wheels?
I've been hunting for a video like this over the last few days. I have to remove some GlassParency graphene coating high spots that i didn't sufficiently level off before curing. I'm a little wary to wet-sand, i don't have that experience. But i'll try a polish first, if that doesn't get it, i'll move to compound, and as a last resort i'll try a 3000 grit wet sand. Thanks for the confidence boost!
Another interesting and informative video Pan. Not that I am going to remove my coating but thought it worth understanding how it was done. I suspect I will track the condition of my coating and when it seems to degrade just follow your process for cleaning then reapply. Thanks, Bruce

Loved the video. Just did a full day to clean and place the roar ceramic coating on my new Macan. Looks great was not too hard to put on for a novice DIY guy. Thanks to you Pan. After watching this video it maybe easier to just sell the car the car if I have to remove it though. Thanks again always a good day when a new video drops.
Thank You Pan!! Actually I was wonder about this. You answered all my questions beautifully. How, When and Why to remove my ceramic coating. I have the Avalon King ceramic coating on my car. So I was wondering near or at the 2 year mark what to do. Now I have all my answers.
Fantastic video, Pan. Thank You as always for thoroughly explaining the methods on how to remove a coating. I coated My Vette and My Dad's car in September and October 2020. The vette is garaged and is still going strong. Pops car is decent, but fading. Csl/exo on both. Pops car sits outside yet is washed frequently to keep it clean and sealed with Topper/Drying aid/C2V3(depends which one I feel like using). I'd planned to use Perfect Finish on Pops car, then csl/exo again as He loves it! He's amazed how it shines and beads far longer than any wax He's seen in 79 years! Thank You again!
Thanks for the trust you place in my videos. But what more information do you need? I mentioned everything in my matte paint care tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/5RocSxJQmzI/v-deo.html
I always get excited when I see you posted another video. I recently put Ammo Reflex Pro on my car. It is an enamel coating not a ceramic coating. Beautiful hydrophobic properties. The car is garaged and I assume I will get at least a year or more out of it. When it comes time, would I have to remove it maybe with a polish paint correction? Also, if it has contaminates on it, could I use an ultra fine clay bar on an enamel coating?
Pan, awesome information.. i always suspected you could reapply a ceramic coating over a old layer... i tried this spring.. my door panels were showing wear after a good decon. I reapplied some coating i had left.. i figured what the heck its just going to go bad in the fridge anyway. it worked really well so far...i wish i could give this video 2 thumbs up.. p.s. i hate mosquitoes too...
Great video Pan. I always look forward to your videos and I’m continuing to learn so many tips and tricks from you. Have a great day and keep up the great work.
Pan - LOVE your videos. You are a true master of your craft - I share your passion. I just got a new SUV in metallic orange and I'm planning on getting most if not all of the vehicle coated with ClearGuard Ultra PPF. The local shop offers Modesta ceramic coating as well and I'd like to get the PPF coated. Was going to do my car in the Adams Advanced ceramic coating until I can get the appointment for PPF next year (they have a long wait list). After seeing this I think I'm going to keep a nice carnauba coat on it till I can get PPF! I've used the Griots Garage Complete Compound and Complete Polish to correct the paint and wash it weekly with the Griots shampoo and pre-wash foam (loved your review). Of course she is garage kept and well pampered. (Yes I name my cars...) I've already done the wheels in the Adams Advanced after following your prep advice - looks great. Using Griots Best of Show carnauba liquid wax. SO - your opinion please... What do you think of all vehicle PPF done by a top shop? My concerns are scratches, rock chips, malicious keying, etc. - otherwise I'd stick with just a coating. Would my self applied Adams Advanced coating over the PPF be similar to the professional Modesta coating or is there a benefit to the Modesta that would make it worth the cost?
Hi! First, thanks for the kind words, I appreciate them! Congrats on your new SUV. What make and model is it? To inspire you, I did a customer's orange SUV a few years ago, at my previous house, in this video: ua-cam.com/video/iTOWDtB87zI/v-deo.html First, good move in not applying a ceramic coating before getting PPF'ed. It would have been an expensive removal job for the detailer to spend time polishing the surface to ensure 100% removal of the previous coating. So using a simple carnauba wax until you get the film installed is a good move. I haven't tried the Griot's one though. But Griot's in general makes excellent consumer grade products so it should be more than fine. For PPF, if you're concerned about ultimate protection against rock chips, swirls and scratches, it's the only option. So yes by all means, go ahead and have your vehicle wrapped with PPF from a shop that knows what they're doing. And yes, for the best of both worlds, have them apply a ceramic coating on top of the PPF. That way, you'll get gloss, slickness, UV protection and the self-cleaning properties that coatings are known for, and it will make cleaning your SUV a lot easier and more enjoyable with a coating. Consumer grade coatings (i.e. the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating) cost much less, can be applied DIY, don't require specialized equipment (IR curing lamps) or training (certified installers) to be applied, but tend to not last as long or have as much chemical resistance as professional grade coatings. So it's a question of budget and your needs. If you can swing it financially, by all means have a pro grade coating applied like a Roar Coating, Modesta, Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, Opti-Coat Pro+, or the pro versions of CarPro, Gyeon, etc. All top tier picks. If you don't have the budget, or enjoy doing things the DIY way, there's nothing wrong with the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating. It's still fairly new to the market so nobody has had the chance to test it for 3+ years yet, but so far so good on my girlfriend's SUV which we coated with that in October of 2021. I hope this helps!
@@PanTheOrganizer The vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery in Namib Orange metallic over black leather. 22" wheels with the air suspension. I'll probably have the ceramic coating done by the PPF installer if it's a better protectant. I've been using 303 protectant for the interior and seats - seems to work well without looking shiny but I'm open to trying other products. Recently switched to the Adams Graphene Tire dressing which I like a lot better than 303 on the tires. Basically I want the best protection I can find. Do you think the Adams ceramic leather and interior coating would be a good option or wait for the ceramic installer to do the interior as well? I'm new to the ceramic products but it sounds like it might be a better option for the interior than 303. Congrats on the Porsche 911 by the way! Such a beautiful car - a work of art. I love how they do the paint, even the underside of the hood and trunk is clear coated like the exterior - at least the ones I've seen are. Keep up the great work. I found your channel researching detailing on UA-cam. Still going through all the videos...

Pan. I really enjoy your stuff. I've learned so much from you. I'm going to be applying my fist a coating from Avalon king once it get back from being polished.
You can do it! Did you watch my ceramic coating application tutorial? And also my video review of the AvalonKing coating where I also show the application.
@@PanTheOrganizer yes I've watched it many times. I have a very good understanding of the process and removal. Only question I have is at what point can I add a ceramic spray topper? Like cure..
Great video Pan. I applied Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic in my vehicle last summer and I'm starting to notice that the hydrophobic properties are wearing down...should I have to clay bar as well if needed or should I just do chemical decontamination process?
If you got almost a year out of it, that is awesome! At that point, wash the car, and feel with your fingers the lower parts of the door panels and lower parts of the car and see if you have contamination. If you feel grit or sand-paper like texture, it means you have contamination and should do an iron remover followed by a clay bar. Most likely, if you haven't done any decon in the past year, it's due for a full wash, decon, and fresh application of the protection.

Very informative video Pan explaining the proper steps at removing an unwanted coating. Would you suggest perhaps using a 3000 grit Trizact sanding disc and would it be effective? I saw recently it being used at removing oxidation and water spots with ONR as the lubricant. This product looks super easy to work with and would love to get more hands on experience to feel more comfortable sanding painted surfaces.
Great job explaining everything. I need help clean my windshield. Mine has so many small scratches that it makes very difficult to see night time. Any suggestions how to clean that, much appreciate it.
It depends how bad the scratches are. Sometimes the only solution is to replace the windshield. But you can try a glass polish and glass polishing pad and see what you can achieve. Thanks Correy! Gtechniq advertises Crystal Serum Light as a 3 to 5 year ceramic coating. Durability, like for any coating, depends on a variety of factors like application, conditions the car is exposed to, maintenance, climate, etc.
I bought a used mk 8 R, with that wonderful lapiz blue. I really wasn’t thinking and had a buddy of mine install the coating. no proper paint correction was done before hand. I recently had a coating ruined by a freak 60 second rain shower. It was Adam's Advanced Graphene 9+ year coating. I was able to remove it next day with just 3 passes using a yellow pad and polishing compound.
I applied adams graphene coating that is suppose to last up to 7 yrs this last march. The summer heat in AZ just ate right through it on the hood and roof. I think I need to water sand it off and apply a few layers of clear coat cause it just did not work for me.

No. Iron removers don’t remove ceramic coatings. They are actually used for maintenance of coatings to remove accumulated brake dust. As I mentioned in the video, the only way to ensure 100% removal of a coating is by machine polishing.
Thanks for another good video as always! Can you do a video on sunroof/moonroof care? I can't figure out a good way to clean the fabric wind deflector on my 2018 GTI. I think Audi uses the exact same one as well.
This is a great video! Makes me realize that i don't have the skills to remove ceramic coating. We want to put a vinyl wrap on the hood of our van that has a ceramic coat. Will the process that you describe allow us to get good adhesion for the vinyl wrap?
Great and informative video! I've got a question though. I recently purchased a used car which has a 2-4 year old professional grade coating on it . The surface of the car has a lot of swirls smaller scratches which are visible in harsh direct sunlight. I want to polish the car to remove some of theese defects and portentially restore some gloss. Will i be able to get a good result, even if i dont remove the coating entirely? Is it possible to polish a coating? Or will it just leave more defects in the coated surface until all the coating is gone?
You never polish coatings as that mechanical friction/abrasion from the polishing compound and pad will strip the coating. There is one polish that is specifically designed to correct very minor marring on coatings, and it’s CarPro Essence+ (not the regular Essence). But that is only for VERY light defects. In your case it seems you’ll have to machine polish the entire surface to correct the defects and then use a paint prep spray to remove polishing oils and reapply a new ceramic coating.
We live at an intersection and also next door to a smog inspection shop and have a lot of iron and soot on our vehicles and wonder what you would recommend for surface protection on our vehicles. Our white Ford Escape is real bad and in my opinion, the paint/clearfinish is about shot so I would like to find a coating that is best for a worn out finish and protect from future iron/acidic soot deposits. It's not worth a repaint. I want to do this DIY and have seen your videos on Adams advanced graphene ceramic coating and I have all the tools needed. Thanks!
My truck has to sit outside all the time, so I'm just hoping that by applying a ceramic coating that will prevent or slow down the paint becoming faded or breaking down the clear coat.Is that a reasonable expectation?
Great video 🙏🏻 Once i get rid of most ceramic, would the F6 still work for eliminating clay scratches left under coating, by detailer? What other tape can you recommend, better than the 3M blue?
As usual, great video. What if you simply don't want to put the effort into removal and just let it go on its own? Will it eventually disappear? Can you simply just then put another coat on at that point? And for those who do maintenance SiOw sprays, how could you ever know because it would always look good anyway.
If you just let if fade on its own over time, it won't be uniform. There are areas that fade quicker than others depending on where they are on the vehicle, so you would get a blotchy finish and if you can't guarantee a 100% virgin surface before applying a fresh coating, I would at least do a light polish towards the end of the coating's expected durability.
@@PanTheOrganizer Makes sense. But again, suppose you regularly use an SIO2 booster spray, which always makes sure things look good. I guess one would have to keep track of the estimated life of the ceramic then to know when to remove? Not sure I'd trust myself to remove a ceramic as opposed to just putting on a booster every 3 months. It's a pity nobody has come up with a chemical wash to remove OLD ceramic coatings that are weak.
Each brand usually has different “aggression” levels if their clays. Soft, medium and hard. If you are just buying a clay kit, it’s usually a medium clay that’s in it, unless otherwise specified on the box.
Hello Pan! Thank you so much for your great and helpful videos. Quick question,, I have a vehicle that I just did a 2-3 year ceramic coating and there's a high spot on a panel! Following these steps, would that fix it by polishing the area and reapplying the ceramiccoating? I coated the vehicle 2 days ago.

If you had spotted the high spot a few minutes after the coating application, it would have been as simple as reapplying a bit of the coating on the high spot, and immediately wipe off. Boom, done. If it has been a few days, the curing process is already under way. You will have to machine polish that section with a light polish, use the paint prep spray, and reapply the coating on that section. But don't wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after the coating application, as you wouldn't want to hurt the rest of the coating on the vehicle. After a week, you can address the issue.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much for the quick response! You're definitely the best and my favorite professional detailer guide. God bless you for your kindness and awesome support 🙏
I applied two coats of Avalon King Armor shield IX 3 years ago to the week. I saw your video on Ceracoat ceramic coating a few weeks ago so I ordered the kit. Do you think a light polishing will remove the existing ceramic coating? Or will I need to go with wet sanding? I've never done wet sanding before and it kind of scares me. Thanks for your awesome videos and instruction!! You're my "go to" with any detailing questions I have. Thanks
Polishing should do it. To make sure it’s gone, once you’re done polishing, wash the car and see if you still see water beading. If yes, you need more polishing. If the water just pools, slow sheeting, and no beading, you know you removed the coating.
@@PanTheOrganizer you’re AWESOME!!! I’m watching your video now “how to remove a ceramic coating”.. thank you for the quick reply! I’m excited to try the Ceracoat ceramic coating? Do you feel it’s better than Armor shield IX ?
@@PanTheOrganizer the polishes I currently have are the Meguiars DA microfiber correction compound and the Meguiars “mirror glaze 205” ultra finishing polish. Would the DA correction compound be “strong enoug” to remove the existing ceramic coating? Then I’ll hit it with the ultra finishing polish. Thank you Pan
12:25 if you see any milky water, you've already cut into and damaged the clear coat, making it scratched and thinner. This is especially problematic around body creases and panel edges, where it is very hard to sand evenly and very easy to cut through to the basecoat.
Hey Pan, a dealer installed a product called "sentinel" they say its ceramic. I never heard of it. Is it really a ceramic? They said its "sprayed" on. Do I need to mechanically remove so I can put a real ceramic on?
I never heard of it. But regardless, the only way to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection is by machine polishing. Once that is done, use the panel prep spray to remove polishing oils and then you can apply the new coating
Most of the time, machine polishing is all you'll need to remove a coating. Wet sanding is more aggressive and only required on some rare more durable professional grade coatings.
How would you go about removing a coating from matte or satin finish carbon fiber? I assume removing it mechanically would change the finish? Thanks, Pan.
Hi Pan, l used Cerakote Trim restorer on my Honda civic back 2016 hatchback door handles. Before the trim dried l think it rained so watermarks have formed inside the restorer on the door handle trim. How do l remove the trim restorer off plastic door handle?
Hi Good day Pan, thank you for another informative video..What procedures or polishing methods do you use to remove high spots from a professional grade coating?
There is no other solution but to machine polish the high spots. Unless you're lucky enough to spot the high spot within 30 min or 1 hr of the coating being applied, at that point, just reapply a some fresh coating on top of the high spot and wipe immediately and it works to remove the high spot if you're lucky. Beyond that, you'll have to machine polish.
Have you done a video on how to get ceramic off glass ?? We just bought a new to us Lincoln Aviator and both back side windows have some style of chemical stain on them. What’s the best and safest way to polish windows and maybe correct the issue I have?? Thanks guys!

Am I going to end up on a National Security Risk List for purchasing this?
Have you ever tried this on paint? Gelcoat is thick durable and forgiving.
@abarnett1975 where can this product be purchased, do you sell it?

Glad you enjoyed it Neil! 👍🏻

Fantastic content. I've so far stayed away from ceramic and have been sticking with Larry Kosilla's AMMO Reflex. Works all the same, easier application and doesn't last but a few months and works really well in those few months. But removal of a ceramic...that's a daunting task!
Thank you! Exactly the info I needed.
Glad it was helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
What conditions (temperature, humidity, indoors vs outdoors) were you working in?
Thanks!
If it’s a non German vehicle, you should absolutely have it rustproofed.
Wow. One of your better videos Pan. Wealth of knowledge on this one. Probably going into my video library for future use. 2x thank you!!

Excellent video as always! Going to save this one to refer back to when the time comes to remove my coating.
Thanks!
I feel like you are reading my mind. I was just going to ask you how to do this properly in one of your latest Videos. I can’t wait to watch this one.
👍🏻
( I just need to remove certain area, not whole car )
3. what is best way to remove ceramic coating on the wheels?
I've been hunting for a video like this over the last few days. I have to remove some GlassParency graphene coating high spots that i didn't sufficiently level off before curing. I'm a little wary to wet-sand, i don't have that experience. But i'll try a polish first, if that doesn't get it, i'll move to compound, and as a last resort i'll try a 3000 grit wet sand. Thanks for the confidence boost!
Polishing should remove the high spots.
@@PanTheOrganizer whew - thank goodness

My pleasure Charles!
My pleasure Jay! Hope you are having an awesome weekend!
Great explanation Pan!

May you please do more videos on Matte car:) I only saw one. I just bought a Frozen color from BMW and I you’re the only guy I trust on youtube😊
Awesome topic brother.no 1 really talks about this and leave it 2 you 2 do so.
I appreciate that
Does this method work removing ceramic from top of paint protection film?
You have to be more careful with PPF. A light polish should be enough.
Thanks Barry!

Awesome! Thank you!
To inspire you, I did a customer's orange SUV a few years ago, at my previous house, in this video: ua-cam.com/video/iTOWDtB87zI/v-deo.html
First, good move in not applying a ceramic coating before getting PPF'ed.
@@PanTheOrganizer
Super intéressant ❤. Et en ce qui concerne les céramiques sprayable tel que cancoat ou bien dc60? En fin de vie doit on obligatoirement repasser la polisseuse?
Like cure..
45 to 60 minutes after your final layer of coating. If you pass that window, wait 24 hours before applying your topper.
Thank you so much for all your help.... you are the best there is ....enjoy your weekend
You too Luigi! 👍🏻

Can you apply another brand of ceramic coating over a graphene ceramic coating without removing it?
Great job explaining everything.
I need help clean my windshield. Mine has so many small scratches that it makes very difficult to see night time.
Any suggestions how to clean that, much appreciate it.
It depends how bad the scratches are. Sometimes the only solution is to replace the windshield. But you can try a glass polish and glass polishing pad and see what you can achieve. I have a tutorial on that here: ua-cam.com/video/yMi5PtyqUI8/v-deo.htmlsi=yho7_HDkv81-VSaK

Awesome content! Crystal Serum light 30mil bottle, would tht be a 1 year coating?
Thanks Correy! Gtechniq advertises Crystal Serum Light as a 3 to 5 year ceramic coating. Durability, like for any coating, depends on a variety of factors like application, conditions the car is exposed to, maintenance, climate, etc.
I bought a used mk 8 R, with that wonderful lapiz blue. I really wasn’t thinking and had a buddy of mine install the coating. no proper paint correction was done before hand. The swirls and minor scratches on my hood are getting to me. That is my thought process behind, removing this ceramic coating, doing everything myself and working from the ground up again.

I recently had a coating ruined by a freak 60 second rain shower. It was Adam's Advanced Graphene 9+ year coating. I was able to remove it next day with just 3 passes using a yellow pad and polishing compound.
Another great and informative video. Thank you Pan!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks man
👍🏻
I applied adams graphene coating that is suppose to last up to 7 yrs this last march. The summer heat in AZ just ate right through it on the hood and roof. I think I need to water sand it off and apply a few layers of clear coat cause it just did not work for me.
Did you find something better than Adam’s graphene coating? I’m also in AZ and had similar results with gtechniq crystal serum lite
@@falcontrek1932 I ended up buying a few cans of clear coat and redid the roof and hood. It looks great but might be easier taking it to the body shop because it’s some work and needed to buy a mask along w other supplies so might as well have a professional do it
Exactly what i wanted to do on a nice Saturday morning! Thanks Pan! ( Going to do paint correction and apply a much better coating)
Thanks for watching!

Very informative Pan! Thank you even tho I’m late to this video lol. I had to watch because I’m torn on a couple of coatings for my car. It’s a just in case I’m not happy with the coating I choose for my car. You’ve experienced the Gyeon Syncro and the Adams Advanced…which one did you like better? As far as gloss, slickness and hydrophobics?
Gyeon Syncro for sure

Plein d'information utile.
Merci mon Dan!
will iron remover take off ceramic coating safely? need to re due before winter. thanks.
I don't apply vinyl wraps, so your best bet is to ask a vinyl wrap and PPF installer near you.
Thanks!
Hey Pan, love your work. Question: do I ceramic coat the glass and trim and plastic as well as the paint? 🙏
It depends what coating you buy. Some are surface specific, others can be applied to multiple surfaces.
My truck has to sit outside all the time, so I'm just hoping that by applying a ceramic coating that will prevent or slow down the paint becoming faded or breaking down the clear coat.Is that a reasonable expectation?
Awesome. Super useful video again. I saw your IG post and it had a picture of your Porsche and I genuinely got scared. Had to come make sure haha.
Glad you liked it!
Great video 🙏🏻
Once i get rid of most ceramic, would the F6 still work for eliminating clay scratches left under coating, by detailer?
Do you recommend paint protectors on vinyl and car wraps
Absolutely. I would always recommend a ceramic coating on top of PPF. I made a video about that here: ua-cam.com/video/7RCgqdGrvrA/v-deo.html
Thanks Pan for another informative video, meguiars and mothers clay bar classified as fine or course clay bars?
Each brand usually has different “aggression” levels if their clays. Soft, medium and hard. If you are just buying a clay kit, it’s usually a medium clay that’s in it, unless otherwise specified on the box.
Hello Pan! Thank you so much for your great and helpful videos. Quick question,, I have a vehicle that I just did a 2-3 year ceramic coating and there's a high spot on a panel! Following these steps, would that fix it by polishing the area and reapplying the ceramiccoating? I coated the vehicle 2 days ago.
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on UA-cam as we surpassed 870,000 subscribers and we have over 110 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Great video thanks Pan 👍🏻. Can you do a video on if you use ceramic coating on a leather?
I have many of those including this video: ua-cam.com/video/CuN77nz8Ex8/v-deo.html
Sorry I was meant to say removing ceramic coating from leather eg removing Gyeon q2 leather coat
Pan, is this also applied for 303 graphene spray?
For any protection really. If you want to ensure 100% removal, a light polish is required.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much for your prompt answer. Have an awesome week 🙂
Any cons to machine polishing a professionally installed coat instead of wetsanding ?
Most of the time, machine polishing is all you'll need to remove a coating. Wet sanding is more aggressive and only required on some rare more durable professional grade coatings.
How would you go about removing a coating from matte or satin finish carbon fiber? I assume removing it mechanically would change the finish? Thanks, Pan.
You would never machine polish a matte surface.
@PanTheOrganizer that's what I thought. Any way to remove the coating chemically?
