      Absolutely LOVE your videos ! After using the ceramic coat, is a waxing the next step--or is it not needed due to the ceramic protection? If waxing is needed, do I do it immediately or wait the 24 hour wash curing time? Thank you for the great work you do !

      Hi! Thanks for watching. With 24h of curing time, Ceramic Spray Coating is as resistant if not more compared to Seal N Shine. I spoke about that in my dedicated Ceramic Spray Coating review.
      In this video, I purposefully didn’t follow the instructions of Ceramic Spray Coating that state one has to wait 24h of curing time before washing, to prove how important it is to follow the instructions, as most people typically don’t read the instructions. It was also in response to my viewers who wrote to me asking a real world test with no curing time just to see the results.

    Ive been using Seal N Shine for 2yrs now and think it does a great job keeping the paint shiny and clean, water just beads right off. I apply it every few washes, not the entire car at once but will do the hood one time, trunk another, roof another day, left side another day etc so it doesnt take that long. Applied it before winter last year and come spring it was still working, I had to work to strip areas in order to compound some swirls and scratches out.

    I read the back of the TW Hybrid Ceramic wax bottle. In the directions it mentions nothing about a 24 hour cure and states to apply second coat for improved protection. Only in the Note does it mention the 24 hour cure and the first word in the Note is wheel. In addition, it does not reference the Note after stating to add a second coat for durability in the directions. I believe it was a very fair test given the directions. TW ice is the clear winner if you want to maximize durability and gloss for the least amount of time and effort.

    Yes, Both these products seem great and I often use Seal and Shine. However, if the paint has a gritty feeling and you can't do a decontamination, clay bar treatment or polishing, I need to use something like NuFinish cream polish which has a cleaner in it and smoothens out the paint. I imagine I can follow up with Seal and Shine or or TW Ceramic Spray Coating further down the road providing the car is not gritty again. Any thoughts about this?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Місяць тому

      If you wash your car regularly, using safe washing and drying methods, and use chemicals to do the decontamination (bug removers, iron removers, mineral deposit removers) you shouldn't have the need to clay or polish the surface. I fully detail, decon, polish, IPA prep and ceramic coat my new cars when I get them, and for the three years I own them, I never have to use a claybar or machine polishing.
      Nowadays, for those who do need to use clay to remove embedded contamination, there are synthetic perforated decontamination towels that aren't abrasive and won't do any marring on the paint, so they're safe to use on ceramic coated cars. A towel like this: bit.ly/3WsWdPJ

However I believe users mainly interested in comparing this new product with the older SealNShine when both are properly used. As this is a brand new member of the TW family and because the rational buyer is sceptical to say at least it would be nice to see a real "battle" between these 2 products. I think no one questions what happened here and you were absolutely correct, it is simply just most of use wish to see the real difference between the 2. So it was nice to see the potential weakness of the missused application but I personally at least would be certainly more interested to see the strenghts and benefits of the ceramic edition as this was only shown on promotion videos where you see the beeding and sheeting of water right after fresh application (and to be honest, any hydrophobic material can do that right after the application at least for 5 minutes).

I will just go to another walmart to get the seal & shine. People say that chemical resistance isn't important because real world washing doesn't subject the car to many chemicals. However, if our cars have heavy iron contamination, we know we can use iron remover knowing full well that the protection won't be compromised if we use the seal & shine!

    Jimbo Balaam did a torture test with both products curing for 24 hours and seal and shine was the better product. Not saying the new stuff isnt good but TW has a for sure winner with Seal and Shine. YOUR THE MAN PAN!!!

    Ice & seal is the winner! My other option is to use TW ceramic spray coating first & let it cure for 72 hours then spray a coating of I&S for a longer lasting protection for m6 car.
    Anyway Pan, you showed us another amazing live proof video. Thanks man! Cheers.

    I could not distinguish a difference in gloss, maybe it is enhanced with more curing time? I am still a fan of Seal n Shine it is great product that can be used in a hurry during cold weather after a car wash self or drive through. I plan to use it after a snow storm because Winter grime and salt has coated my vehicle no need to worry about it protective properties because of a cure time. The Ceramic version might be better to use during Spring and Summer months. Does temperature affect cure time? Pan would love to see a long term test during the harsh Winter months.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  4 роки тому +1

      No. Don't mix regular waxes with silica based coatings or sealants. After using Ceramic Spray Coating, you have one of three options to maintain the finish:
      1) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wash N Wax shampoo during maintenance washes : amzn.to/2VswO8v
      2) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid after your washed your car: amzn.to/3ihkzpa
      3) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic 3-in-1 Detail Spray as a quick detailer : amzn.to/38fLTiM

    Looks good ! I still don’t want to use either after a paint correction. I’m not spending 20+ hrs correcting the paint and then trusting a sub $20 spray. I’ll continue to use these as a drying aid after every wash. Looking forward to see how these apply over sealants/waxes

    Looked like the first application showed that the water beading was better with the new Ceramic Spray Coating than Ice, but after the cleaners where applied the Ice seal n Shine lasted after all three cleaners applied. I would of liked to see how the Ceramic Spray Coating lasted after following the directions on the bottle (24 hrs).

    Instead of wiping off the Ice Seal & Shine right away, I let it cure for few minutes and then buffed it off. It became a little sticky to buff the surface clean but after buffing is done, wow, the paint became so smooth and glossy!

    TURTLE WAX ICE SEAL N SHINE leaves marks that are hard to buff, which is annoying. I have to use a mix of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle to get rid of them when buffing.

    I have a black vehicle and live in Texas. Rarely do I allow a cure time because rarely does the black stay clean that long. Sometimes I'm cleaning every day. It's a valid and more real world test. Ugly yellow pollen isn't waiting on your cure time, and I hate driving it looking like that.

      Thanks bro! Unfortunately, it seems many viewers didn’t quite understand the purpose of my video which was simply to show what some had requested: how Ceramic Spray Coating does without any curing time, just like Seal N Shine. So many seem disappointed.
      But when let to cure, Ceramic Spray Coating is as chemically resistant as SNS in my testing, no worries there.

      Pan TheOrganizer yeah I read some of those comments. Testing like this, though, proves those certain points about making sure to follow directions. Pros and cons to each product depending on what you need and want. I sometimes still get streaking with Seal and Shine but it cures pretty much instantly. While the New Ceramic Spray Coating will leave little to no streaking but needs the appropriate time to cure time then its good to go. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    As most of the other people says Pan, in my opinion, I cant say wich is better since there was no proper waiting time on the "ceramic" one... also I manage to strip Seal N Shine with Super clean Diluted 1:2 tho it was already installed a few weeks... so it might hold strong the first few days but after a few weeks you can strip it out...
