Heya Kay, next time try poaching the fish in milk with some butter instead of frying, then once the fish is cooked put it in your dish leaving the milk in the pan, add enough cornflour to thicken it up and a handful of fresh chopped parsley, salt and pepper, then add that to your fish then add the mash on top.
That apron is so putrid, it really needs to be washed. The fish was put in frozen. It broke up because it was overcooked. Why don't you DEFROST your frozen food before making a recipe??! Being stuck to the pan doesn't mean it's cooked well, it means you cooked it badly. Dry overcooked fish with mashed potatoes isn't a recipe. It's two items slapped together. There is no sauce, no seasoning. Plus there is so little food in the oven dish because yet again you chose the wrong size oven dish. Your videos make me so sad. People are making a joke of you when they send you such awful so called recipes like this and you make them. You didn't make fish pie you made a fish patty without forming them into round patties, you just made a flat fish patty with zero seasoning.

Kay, great job moving into the world of seafood. Very excited for what is coming next. If you like white fish, I suggest you try making sushi, it is very easy and fun.
I'm gonna give you a really simple recipe. Chicken stew. It's SO easy. All you need to do is seal some chicken chunks in a pan. Sprinkle some flour over them While they cook, move it around a bit. The chicken DOES NOT need to be cooked all the way through, just the outside. Once it's changed colour to white and slightly brown,, sealed, add diced potatoes, carriots, honions, even mushyrooms. Then toss it about for maybe 5 minutes, THEN add chicken stock. Not chicken gravy, chicken stock. Knoor stock pots are really good. Read the instructions on the pack. Just make sure the stock has enough water to cover everything. Bring to a boil, then either transfer to a baking dish, or get a pan you can use on the hob AND place in a hoven. Place in the oven in 180 Celsius for and hour and a half. Stir every 30 minutes. The flour you used for the chicken and the heat will reduce and thicken the stock, making a nice stew consistency. Also add a teaspoon of salt, pepper, and some basil before putting in the hoven if you use a big baking dish.
Do you lick lemons before you taste what you cook? No sauce? I expected at least lumpy instant gravy. Concentrate on quality videos rather than just bang them out for money

Not for me, my MIL used to make a mean fish pie with different types of fish, cod, haddock, salmon and prawns in a beautiful sauce, topped with light and fluffy mashed potato on top and crushed up crisps on top!

Yes, I'm going to show you how to make a potato pie with a couple of flakes of over cooked pulverised fish stuck to it. Sauce? Oh no no Sauce, because there's half a tub of cheap marge in the potatoes. We can't go giving anything any flavour or seasoning, because I've got no taste buds , so i really have no business attempting to cook on line.

Hi kay. Another good video... A tip for you and your watchers about boiling over. Instead of raising the lid on the pan which results in water dripping everywhere. simply rub margarine or butter around the rim of the pan and the oil-based product prevents the water from escaping from the pan :)

The channel is doing well because of two types of subscribers - people who love her and her cooking, and those of us who just love her.

That or just place the lid so the holes line up with the lip. Her pan is designed to release steam which should help with the boiling over problem.
