As a newbie to Resolve and a person who does not want to get involved in all the complex color grading work but want a nice graded look, I loved this tutorial. I will keep coming back to this video until I memorise everything! Cheers mate!
@@flexpressionlove your video but this isn’t a video for an absolute beginner. You should do a video for an absolute beginner like when you started color grading with 0.00 knowledge on where to start from and you wished someone would’ve walked you through like when you’re teaching a child the alphabet.
I’m an absolute beginner & I can just about keep up. But it’s a much better video than a lot of other ones I’ve seen. Now iPhone 15 pro is getting Log used by more amateurs, I very basic/basics video would go down great. An idiots guide, if you will. Go slow, talk slow, explain everything & I think you’d do even better
OMG!! I've been trying to find a simple color grading tutorial for the LOOOOONGEST time!! Your Color Space Transform alone made the biggest difference in my file. You've earned a subscriber, sir! Keep up the great work!!! Beautiful videos
I’m new to Resolve and have watched many videos on color grading but this is one of the better ones and the first I’ve seen explaining the use of an outside node.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 347 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.
@@flexpression Thanks so much! I realized that the main reason for doing this is not about the success but the inspiration I've been providing some people with my stories while helping others do the same as I shared the lessons & experiences through making videos to have a sense of meaningful purpose. Therefore, I’m planning to quit nursing to pursue youtube full time as there are lots of issues in our traditional health systems as these don’t align with my values. It’s a huge learning curve but I love helping people through making videos. Bro!!! You just answered the questions I've had for almost 2 years now. I've been wanting to switched from Premire pro to Davinci resolve and all I wanted to know was the similarities and functionality between PR & DVC and today, you just made me understand it. I thank you! 🙌🏼
I've been watching so many tutorials and I've still felt lost and confused trying to use davinci. This is the first tutorial that made sense and I FINALLY feel like I learned something! Thank you so much for this
Bro you have some great content. I hope you don't give up on UA-cam, you produce some great frames. This beginners guide was very well explained and really simplified the whole process for me
Raaah bro you nailed it! I just downloaded Davinci Resolve while finding a video to understand colour grading in it! That was my main reason for downloading it, but then I find your video and you literally explained it so perfectly for a beginner like me! Thank you for sharing this as it will help me out so much! You got yourself a new subscriber and a new like :D

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been watching countless tutorials and they're all so vague and general, but yours was the first to go in depth. My only question to you is how would I go about adding a dehancing node and a bloom + halation node? What order should I place the two nodes in the current layout you showed? Thank you again!
Thank you so much for making this video, it's incredibly helpful and the careful work in it also really shows and is appreciated. Also *Grin* congrats on the 1k subscribers!! ^_^
Great video bro! You also missed some things that can def help people who are brand new to the software like how to add a node or what key bind makes a node.
Dope ! But you or anybody answer like why use a lot of nodes , why can’t you just color correct the one shot using everything like contrast or sharpening etc .instead of doing it separately? you can’t do that all in one ?
Thank you so much for this video king, please the issue i have now is hoe to install Da Vinci redolve. I would appreciate any help with this thanks alot

If you change your CST to Cineon Film before the LUT, rather than gamma 2.4 it will improve your footage dramatically.
explain
Please can you explain
He means, add a node before the LUT node, drop CST on it, set the output gamma to cineon.
is that not what he did? im confused.
@@vaibhavtomar20 that's exactly what he did
