Bought a g35 with a v2 kit. Engine was blown, kept the v2 kit for my nismo 350. But now my nismo is totaled as of Monday. Putting the g35 back together for something to drive and debating just putting the charger back on. But it didn’t have ac and I’m trying to figure out if I can keep ac and pro charger. Nismo will be fixed in time. But it’s super inconvenient. Trees man…. The g35 was in the middle of getting ready for a ls swap. Now I’m all messed up.

I have a few questions that I'd like to ask.. With the intercooler being so low to the ground is there ever a chance that water or debris could damage it or is it covered by the plastic shield underneath? Is there anything that you would recommend upgrading engine internal wise before you add this supercharger or any boost for that matter? If done at a mechanic shop how much would you expect to pay including labor and parts? Is there enough room to still fit a cold air intake in the vehicle and if so how much of a pain is it to reinstall it? Did putting a plenum spacer onto this car increase power and torque? Does adding all this extra power to the motor lessen the life of it if you drive it liberally and not basically abuse the shit out of it? Would adding performance parts increase fuel economy at all? I have a 2003 z33 and I am sooo looking forward to installing this on it! Though I have never exactly boosted a vehicle before. Anything with the internals you suggest upgrading before you boost besides the fuel system and spark plugs perhaps?

Can you help me as far as what I need to do to achieve 400 to 450 HP. In other words what compression should I build the motor? Do the heads need to be port and polished? What cams, headers you recommend and will the carb legal vortex be enough to achieve those numbers? If you can help thank you

No sir, its a little tricky putting the intake tube that runs behind the blower down without having it hit the cog pulley or ac pulley but its not necessary to remove anything, in fact I wouldnt. Let me know or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions brotha, all love🤙
Will the piggy back system that runs everything work if your ecu has an up rev tune on it already. Obviously will need retuned, but will that cause me any head aches while retuning?
So I’ll angle the engine down to try swinging it into the tranny then lowering trying to line up the guide pins like you did in the video and tried to bolt the top two but I get so close but not close enough to get the bolt to start threading

With the full street smog legal setup, you dont have to tune it. In fact, most tuners wont with the piggy back box. I ran this kit for a year and a half straight, drifting it every wednesday at the track and beating the hell out of it and my car ran AMAZING!!!🤙
Yessir, should do just fine!! The kit Isnt so hard on the engine at only 8psi but still makes good power and smog legal!!!🔥🔥 Id maybe check compression and cylinder leak down before purchasing but if its good, replace fluids and GO FOR IT!!!!!!!❤

Also bought a ton of supporting mods. LAMBDA sensors for tuning and all. Quick question man, do you recommend doing the GTM Pulley mod if you have a stock pulley? I seen alot of UA-camrs doing it. That tuner kit is the way to go for more power and supporting mods!! I def recommend doing the pulley mod, helps with belt slip. Mike does have it. I have vortech v2 on my 350z, i keep having oil leaking into the intercooler, i do have a oil catch can and had the supercharger rebuilt so it cant be the seals, any ideas what it might be?
Does your blower have the vent plug in it? if it has solid plugs and that was forgotten when it spins up it could blow seals, i know the supercharger was just rebuilt but if the seals are blown again its possible that the vent plug isnt in. Also your engine could be wearing. Is your catch can filling up faster than normal?
Smoggable, street legal and makes good power with less stress on the engine for what I do with the car. We drift pretty frequently and beat the hell out of the car so with the good power the supercharger makes, and driving it on the street daily, and to and from the track, it made the most sense to go this route🤙
On the fence about getting one of the Zs. Ether the 350, 370, or 400 after this deployment coming up. Is this something that would be difficult to twincharge? And would like to know what it tuned out WHP wise

Installing a used one of these Vortech Supercharger on a 350z. That breather line that runs from the back valve cover to the air filter in the video. When you look at the air filters from Vortech and the one I have there is no nozzle to connect the tube to the filter? Odd. Do I just perhaps buy a breather filter to put on the tube coming out of the back of the valve cover and call it done? vortechsuperchargers.com/products/air-filter?variant=7813347009 Any help would be appreciated. Another excellent video!
After some research and a call to Vortech all they do is supply a filter with a hole drilled in it for you. So basically, you can drill the hole yourself and then put in a 5/8" L nylon fitting. I am going the tuner UPrev route. I am thinking I do not need that vaccum line attached to the blow off valve as in this video since my ECU will be different. I have the 340lph AEM fuel pump installed which is working great. Starting the install here soon, just making sure I have as much of it figured out as possible.
The one from vortech should come with a nipple installed into the air filter, if it doesnt you can buy a barb and drill out the filter to run that line to it, ive gotten a filter before that didnt have it and i just went down to the hardware store to make my own. But Vortech def sells them with it🤙
@@Thecrookedking15 Hey, I ordered one from Vortech and all they send you is the filter with a hole drilled in it. LOL. I could have done that. I bought a 90 degree fitting to set it up.
Why not just install a bigger in tank fuel pump, with bigger injectors? This extra fuel pump stuff on the bottom of the car seems like a really bad idea to me. Especially if you’re drifting. You go off road, you could have a potential fuel leak/fire hazard.
Totally agree. But this kid is fully smog, legal in all states, and in order to keep it. That way you have to use the FMU and piggyback system the controller you wire in to the harness, also utilizes a vacuum switch that runs the secondary fuel pump and fuel management unit it’s more for Smog purposes
pretty much same process as a v2 supercharger no? ive had my kit in the basement for almost 2 years cause i havent had the money to put it in and dont know shit about mechanical stuff with cars lol. i might literally watch this video 100x till its muscle memory lmao

I was coming to see how you cleared the supercharger cog and ac with the cast intake tube from the intercooler, but then I see you deleted your AC! That's cheating! :P
@@Thecrookedking15 Just like you said, bend the line a little and it worked. Also, I pushed all the pipes as far into the couplers as possible to shorten the length from the intercooler to the TB. Now it fits better than ever.
Do they supply the connector bolts that connect the square piece to the oem maf housing? If not about what size are they? Unfortunately didn’t keep my oem housing

California and their dumb ass smog laws unfortunately has to be into the intake to keep the CARB cert.

Check the My350z forums, but you really should build up the bottom end. Ticking time bomb the stock rods (and therefore pistons).

After some research and a call to Vortech all they do is supply a filter with a hole drilled in it for you. So basically, you can drill the hole yourself and then put in a 5/8" L nylon fitting. I am going the tuner UPrev route. I am thinking I do not need that vaccum line attached to the blow off valve as in this video since my ECU will be different. I have the 340lph AEM fuel pump installed which is working great. Starting the install here soon, just making sure I have as much of it figured out as possible.

Seems like a lot more work with the additional pump and plumbing rather than just pulling out the OEM pump and putting a higher flow one in.
The one from vortech should come with a nipple installed into the air filter, if it doesnt you can buy a barb and drill out the filter to run that line to it, ive gotten a filter before that didnt have it and i just went down to the hardware store to make my own. But Vortech def sells them with it🤙

Why not just install a bigger in tank fuel pump, with bigger injectors?
This extra fuel pump stuff on the bottom of the car seems like a really bad idea to me. Especially if you’re drifting. You go off road, you could have a potential fuel leak/fire hazard.
Totally agree. But this kid is fully smog, legal in all states, and in order to keep it. That way you have to use the FMU and piggyback system the controller you wire in to the harness, also utilizes a vacuum switch that runs the secondary fuel pump and fuel management unit it’s more for Smog purposes

Lol I believe you pronounce it race-Kor 😂❤ You can do it, I bend the ac lines back a little towards the drivers headlight🤙
@@Thecrookedking15 Just like you said, bend the line a little and it worked. Also, I pushed all the pipes as far into the couplers as possible to shorten the length from the intercooler to the TB. Now it fits better than ever.

Do they supply the connector bolts that connect the square piece to the oem maf housing? If not about what size are they? Unfortunately didn’t keep my oem housing
You use the bolts that were used factory to bolt the square piece to the intake box!!
