- Do this yoga for pelvic floor & stress to relax & release tension fast! Yes, STRESS impacts our pelvic floor. When we are stressed and constantly stressed out bodies are in fight or flight mode longer than it should be and this leads to tension & gripping. We can also hold our breath & breathe into our chest when we are stressed 2 things which also increase gripping and tension on our pelvic floors.
Really focus on your breath with these movements to feel the connection with your pelvic floor both lengthening & activating.

Thank you for practicing along with me! I'd love to know below in the comments what you'd like to see if future videos?
maam plz share ur playlist for pelvic floor exercises for males...
I really love this video and the exercises are helping me way more than the ones I spent thousands of dollars to learn in PT... But if you're open to a point of suggestion, I wish the transitions between positions was a little slower and more mindful, with a few breaths at the start of every position to connect to your core and foundation. Sometimes, I felt a little rushed into the movement and found myself out of alignment or topsy turvy because I'm trying to keep up and not taking the time to mindfully center. Just a thought! Love the video - I've done it a few times now ❤️
Core workout and flexibility mobility and yoga that keep our body strong and especially pelvic floor work out
Thank you, Dr. Melissa! I have been using your videos for several months now. I have interstitial cystitis, mild overactive bladder, and mild bladder leak issues. I have made so much progress adding your videos to my daily routine. I completed the 30-day challenge for pelvic floor and now make sure to incorporate at least one video each day. I think the videos have made a big difference in helping with pain, urgency, and minimizing leaks - in short making my days much more comfortable. For me, this is part of many changes I've made for my bladder health (diet, supplements and even some acupuncture), but I've made such enormous strides from where I was. I wanted to say thank you for your amazing collection. I've done lots of yoga in the past, but I can definitely see your expertise as a physical therapist come through with the exercises. I'm a big fan!
Thank you so much for sharing Sarah! This made my day! Absolutely love hearing how you have enjoyed these videos and found them helpful! Way to go making all the changes for your pelvic floor and searching for answers. It is certainly not easy so way to go! I'm so happy you are help and really appreciate your support. I am really enjoying your pelvic floor yoga videos. I have suffered from time to time with sciatica mostly during pregnancies, then I fell a few years ago and fractured my sacrum (non-displaced). Then started having bilateral hip pain and now some associated pelvic area pain potentially in the pudendal nerve area. Needless to say, your pelvic floor exercises are really helping me. Thank you so much. 🥰
Incredible so happy you are finding these valuable !
Thank you for creating this video!! What videos do you suggest to watch and do to get a better flow output?
You are welcome! When it comes pelvic floor and bathroom relaxing pelvic floor muscles are key! Our videos that go over pelvic floor release, stretches, or tight pelvic floor help do this.
I thoroughly enjoyed this session, thank you. Would this also be helpful for tight adductor muscles? 💙
You are welcome! So happy to hear that you enjoyed this class! And yes definitely moves in here that can help with tight adductors. Keep up the fabulous work!
Is it helpful for vaginismus? Tightness of vagina?
Yes absolutely !!
Too fast for beginners! Please go through the exercises a little slower. Once I get it right and get my balance, you're moving on. Yeah, yeah, I could pause the video, but who does yoga while holding a remote?
Thank you so much for your feed back. This is not a class that is geared towards beginners. We have an entire series for beginners. If you are looking for something that is a little slower and focused on pelvic floor you might enjoy this class better ua-cam.com/video/URPFNiPwP-A/v-deo.html Thanks again for your sugesstion.
@@DrMelissaOleson thank you. I appreciate your content. I'm not exactly a beginner, but that's the pace I currently need after a very long break from yoga. I got extremely stiff over the years.
