We are coming back to working on our hip mobility in this class. The big connection with hips and the pelvic floor. Before class if you have a tennis or lacrosse ball or hand towel if not no worries. My Saturday morning stretch! After a step class and prior to a weekend of hiking I thought my hips could use some love ! Love the block under my glutes ! 🎉

Yes so glad you enjoyed this practice. Some of my fav hip openers here. Tightness can happen for a number of different reasons: how we breathe, posture, things we are doing during our day, muscles imbalances, how we move, stress, and more. Keep up the fabulous work!
I had a really clear feeling at the end of my left leg feeling longer than my right 😳

@@DrMelissaOleson it's funny bc I'm probably about two months into working on my foot mobility/pelvic floor health and one thing I have noticed which is really gross but a bi difference is that my feet aren't sweating as much during my practice. Things must be moving in the right direction

I cannot understand what difference it makes if I notice a difference between my right side and left side. Why does it matter? How does it help the exercise session?
It's learning to be aware of what's going on in your body and how to listen to it. You might not have a difference from side to side and that is completely ok. Many people do especially if struggling with back, hip, or pelvic pain, leaking, or other pelvic health issues. Sometimes the glutes don't fire equally or 1 hip is tighter than the other and so much more.

Question my leg doesn’t laterally rotate outwards when the balls are on your glutes is that a problem? It will not budge.
You are welcome! So glad you found this routine helpful. It really depends and everyone is different. You want your hips to both rotate in and out and if limited in one direction it could lead to issues or could not. So really depends on a lot if you are having pain or pelvic floor issues something to consider and checking in with your doctor on.
