A tip for all colourist- The foam straps you see can be purchased by companies that make them for hairdressing, but they are around $ 20 for 100 pieces in a box. They are just made from POLIETILENO. Which is commonly used in protective packaging. You can buy it at any hardware store for $8 and get around 49 ft squared !
As a stylist, I was really disappointed reading the negative comments. I understand constructive criticism, but some of these comments are just rude and uncalled for. I think this is beautiful work and every color I've seen from this channel I'm inspired by and have done those techniques and turned out gorgeous. It's a shame that as stylists we don't motivate each other but instead attack and insult. Beautiful work! Thanks for posting!
Thank you SO much! I completely agree. Our industry is really hard. We all do things differently, and color is tricky enough! I think we should all uplift and support each other instead of tearing down other stylists we have never met. Thank you for your support!!😘
THE REASON IT HAS A GREENISH HUE IS BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTING IN THE ROOM. If y'all were not so close minded and quick to judge her then yall would know that.😡... And sweetie you did a good job❤❤
I'm in cosmetology school and have followed you on Instagram for some time now. I get so much inspiration from you! I'm blessed to be going to a school that teaches balayage in the curriculum now and I hope one day to get as quick and clean as your application. You're a boss! 😍
Dude hair education is expensive considering all of the continuing education we do after the basics to pass board. Or we can spend hours on UA-cam 😭 thank god for people like Jessi.
Shane Elizabeth so true...you guys are in USA can you imagine how much coast a work like that here in Brazil? The price here is something around US$ 90,00 ...
Turned out better than went I went to get an ombre done a few years back at a salon. Paid around 200 for a disaster. Wanted a small trim my hair was below boobs and wanted a dirty blonde like ciara had a while back .came out with hair so short it wouldn't even teach my shoulders and completely orange/yellow hair. I cried my whole way home . Got an email later from the girl saying she was having a bad day and to go in so she could work on it. This was after she had said it came out perfect after she was done . Haven't been to a salon since then. Scare to death . So to me you did great.
Great job , first time seeing some post a video with someone with dark hair and turn out awesome on the first visit. I love love Guy Tang but get real we as hairstylist don't have 6-8 hours to only do 1 client a day like he does lol . Awesome job doll👍🏻💕😀
+brama he does an amazing job, he spends many hours on his clients and charges a lot. He's famous enough to have less clients who pay more, most stylists can not spend all that time on one person so, the client will need multiple visits.
I feel the exact same way with some of my clients like ehhhh idk how you'd look as a blonde lol, but i think anyone can pull off blonde when you leave depth at the base. Great job!
Love this channel it inspired me to start my own as I’m in uk and we have nothing like it. I think the U.S is leading the way in hair trends at the minute. 😃
i love the way you do things it is made to be so simple and easy for anyone that is learning as well. great videos and i appreciate it ..i can use this as a new approach for do this!
Thanks for helping me! I love love love doing hair and today I'm getting box dye though to do my mannequins heads hair! I'm gonna find a dye brush too! But I can't wait to try out the new techniques I learned from you!😊
The 50 vol scared me not gonna lie but I love the way it turned out! People don’t realize how much hard work is put into doing hair and having it look perfect. You did a great job and I know it looks great in person as well :)
beautiful! loved the technique and you're adorable. The formulas were on point! In reading the comments, I would just disregard them. the lighting isn't you're fault, and any great stylist could see that. Thanks for the good work.
This was amazing! U did a really great job❗️I've done this on my own level 3-4 hair,& no matter what technique, or volume of bleach I use- brassiness is always gonna show up.. I've never tried 6T by shades, but I think I will the next time I do my hair. 7VM+purple +blue pigment by Kenra(Guy Tang collection) is what I use currently on all my brunettes (& my own) when I ombré, or balayage- just don't apply it to the ends, only the roots & transition area- works every time,& looks AMAZING!!
It's obvious, those who choose negativity really aren't worth much. Lions don't lose sleep over thoughts of sheep. On another note, I have first hand experienced Jessica's work, and she has always taken so much care of my hair. I have always left her chair feeling like a queen. 👑 I went from dark red to blonde in a 7 month period, and my hair was as healthy as when we started.
I seen a lot of people when bleaching put it on their scalp but I haven’t seen you done it. Is there a reason? I was wondering from black hair to blonde .
So if my roots are darker than that (around level 4) and I want to lighten them up a couple of levels (maybe to a 6) and also balayage, how would I go about doing that? Would you recommend bleach to 7 and then dye, or a hi-lift? Also with touching up the roots as it grows out, would you just do the same lift and it should blend in seamlessly with the previously lightened hair (the level 6), and then use the lightener higher up on the ends? This has been racking my brain. Thank you!
so this lady did my hair and i wanted it like this but on me you can see the lines (if you knlw wjat i mean) how can i fix this?i dont wanna damage my hair because i have thin hair what should i do?HELPP
i love the end result you did an awsome job, don't care what anyone says the green will go down by the time is wash and it will turn to a nice blonde. 😁
Did she have previous colour on her hair maybe box dye? I was ripped off at salon I wanted Balayage but can hardly see colour as she said it's a dark blonde because I had colour build up etc is this true. She said it would take few bleaches to get desired look x
I love the quality of your video and your personality. Although I do agree with some of the critique comments I’m sure in the end you did your best with what you had to work with. At the end of the day we can only ask for the best from ourselves at that moment. You had some great technique tip in there..but we are always learning as hair artists and anyone who is humble and successful knows this. No one truly knows our situation unless they are fully behind our chair. We should always keep learning and let our passions shine through 👍🏼
this was a very informative video you have a really nice way of explaining things very calm you work at a very good rate and you're just good with your words some very pleasant video to watch so thank you LOL
I love ur voice!! I'm a stylist also and I love to watch lots of videos on hair styling and coloring but sometimes the girls in the video sound so annoying 😩 lol Love this look ! ❤️️
If i have natural chestnut brown color hair virgin hair & i want to bleach it ( lifts really quick ) would my whole hair be damaged even if its virgin hair & healthy ?!! I let my natural hair grow out because i felt like its light enough after dying my hair black for a year !! But i no longer have black ... i want to put pink in my hair i just want to know would my hair fall off
if only you lived in Portland, oregon I would so have u do my hair 💞 you do so good . just recently saw your channel got to hit that subscribe button real quick 💞☺
For all the people complaining about that the blond looks green. It's the yellow lighting in the background who gives that illusion, I think in natural sun light you can really see how beautiful it turned out. And btw the blond always lighten up by time through the sun, it doesn't look dull. For all the people complaining about that too, a good hairstylist has to calculate that in, so the end result looks good. And for me, she did a really good job here!
You should use 6p on its own to smudge the top of the Balayage! Sometimes you get a little more warmth where you blur because you don't saturate it as much as the ends. The 6p helps to cut it :)
50 vol omg really I’m shaking

You're all very welcome! Another tip! Waxed white baking parchment is great for using with the Schwarzkopf ColorMelter Sponge. 😉

Oneida Juarez I love guy tang but my clients are not celebrities and couldn't afford 500-800$ hairdos he is great though
Oneida Juarez so true, but yes he is great
Love your works! Thank you! It helps me a lot as a new hair dresser 🙏

Full blonde to the roots aren’t in anymore
love the stylist's hair. would love to see a video on that.
I think I love this channel. These videos are old but so helpful!!! 😭(tears of joy) 😅

your channel looks great! keep it up 👏🏼👍🏻💯
Video suggestion! Best ways to help recover with breakage and best products to use! (: Love your videos !!
application is nice. the toner seemed drab and on the side of green, but other wise a nice job
How does Olaplex reduce developer volume? I'm asking as a student. Thanks
Love your outfit!! 😍💕 I need it! Lol

great job for a first session. I use 50-80 vol all the time without olaplex on dark hair. I loved your painting. Mean people suck.
ahh a fellow 50 volume user!! haha glad I'm not the only one. thank you! i agree haha
Yessss! Trionics lift thru 50vol is the BEST! And absolutely no need for Olaplex with it since it's an enzyme developer😍
Will 50-80 help to lift the dark black hair faster? Thanks!
Wow nice job. I would like to try that on my hair but it would only turn red no matter what. Maybe it will work .
My hair is the same length and want to try this thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Your outfit is so chic I want to wear it :)
Great tutorial. Lovely girl, great outfit, no annoying music in background. Fab results 👏🏻
love how natural the result looks !
It really suits her !
This was amazing! U did a really great job❗️I've done this on my own level 3-4 hair,& no matter what technique, or volume of bleach I use- brassiness is always gonna show up.. Question if I want to dye someone's virgin hair to a brown what developer to use will I get it in one process
I always have trouble with how long we should process the hair. how long did you process her for? thank you!!

I thought 50 vol. was banned and discontinued?

i love the end result you did an awsome job, don't care what anyone says the green will go down by the time is wash and it will turn to a nice blonde. 😁
Excellent explanation step by step. Very thorough. Her technique itself & especially the end results is below average at best.
Beautiful color! But I'm seriously need to know where your cute sweater is from?!
Kendyll Hulyk American eagle!!
What’s the difference between this and highlights?? If I have dark brown hair can I go blonde???
do you prefer not to use the board to balayage? So you have to wipe your gloves after each section?
i don't know if 50 vol is still in market .... i heard is removed long ago
She is adorable! And she loves what she does, A++ great result.
thank you!!!
How much roughly did this cost her as my hair is a little shorter but the same colour and I really want to get this done
super great job! your camera looks real!! ❤ she looks amazing with blonde hair! ;)
Did she have previous colour on her hair maybe box dye? I was ripped off at salon I wanted Balayage but can hardly see colour as she said it's a dark blonde because I had colour build up etc is this true. She said it would take few bleaches to get desired look x
Beautiful and interesting! Loved it!
do you have to continuously tone your hair to keep it from being to orange ?
I love the quality of your video and your personality. Although I do agree with some of the critique comments I’m sure in the end you did your best with what you had to work with. Her hair looks amazing! Where did you get your headband btw?! It's so cute!
Do you use the framar brushes when doing highlights or other foil work besides balayage?
What would you say is the average amount charged for balayage on hair this length?
Can i ask what you used to style the hair? i love the soft waves but struggle achieve this? Hair looks amazing btw!
Shes so beautiful
Flashlift, Freehand, 50 vol, 1/8 oz, Olaplex- brings it down to 45 vol
---BIG JOB!!!
true!!
What do you charge for a job like that?

this was a very informative video you have a really nice way of explaining things very calm you work at a very good rate and you're just good with your words some very pleasant video to watch so thank you LOL
aw thank you!! so glad you liked it!
Jay VonnGee , I totally agree...
can some one plz help so after I bleach my hair I do the toner? nd the toner is the color that u want to achieve right?
I love ur voice!! I'm a stylist also and I love to watch lots of videos on hair styling and coloring but sometimes the girls in the video sound so annoying 😩 lol
Love this look ! ❤️️
haha thank you!!
That doesn't look like the picture from the beginning of the video... is this the first process towards it???
wow the improvement is wild. you're such an inspiration
Sorry if this has already been asked but where do you buy your tint brushes? What was the name again?
Girl you work miracles !
What are the sheets that you lay her hair between called! Are they an alternative to foil? What are these made of ! 💝

looks green you can see the harsh lines
Vanetra Lockett it was actually really beautiful in person, the camera was very misleading in this video. But thanks for your input
Vanetra Lockett camera lighting rarely holds true to color. I do hair too and trust me, it never looks as good in pictures as it does it person.
Vanetra Lockett so very true. It's like even when you go outside to try to get the best lighting possible sometimes it still looks a little off.
Vanetra Lockett i agreee 😝 id b pissed
Vanetra Lockett Agree!! It’s not bright! It’s DULL
You are really inspiring 🙏🏻
if only you lived in Portland, oregon I would so have u do my hair 💞 you do so good . just recently saw your channel got to hit that subscribe button real quick 💞☺

You should use 6p on its own to smudge the top of the Balayage! Sometimes you get a little more warmth where you blur because you don't saturate it as much as the ends. The 6p helps to cut it :)
That's a great tip! What color line?
omg where do you get 50 volume?! that would be so helpful for balayage
Not sure if it's the lighting but it looked green on the right side and dry.
Looking for the “foils” used. Nbmesh foams?
Yesterday o hot a Rose gold Baylage on my dark brown hair and it looks georgos

I think at least with the Hardware Store roll, you can cut it to any length and width, too! 😉
@jessigish hello! How much of the color capture Creme developer 50 do you put to mix in?
This video was so great! So much great information!
Questions . Anyone can answer. Do people usually balayage with bleach or dye ?
