i have met the old nameless ghouls and the new and let me tell you theyare the kindest people i've ever met, and tobias is a sweet heart, i love how juxtapositioned are their personalities with the visual and lyrical concept of ghost, and they are even better live!.
I saw them last sunday. Best concert I've ever been to by far. They put on an out of this world show. And I even met tobias forge after and he was a sweetheart. Actually held conversations with his fans and asked how you were doing. He was amazing. The band was amazing. And I cant wait to see them again.
I saw Ghost open up for Mastodon and Opeth back in 2012(?) in Boston. I had never heard of them before, but they put on a pretty entertaining show. Certainly fitting for the old theater we saw them in with their Gothic Church motif they got going on. Mastodon was like watching wax statues by comparison; not bad, just very sedate. And Opeth was... well... Opeth. Three very different experiences in one show. Good times. (Also, KISS was my gateway drug into loud guitars at like 6 or 7 years old, so those early albums up until Dynasty hold a warm place in my heart as well, lol)
Same! KISS was the first band to really get my attention. It drove my parents crazy! I bought every Hit Parades Mag. I could find. They had at least 1 page to them
In the music video, an autograph pic of Tony Alamo appears which makes the video much more hilarious. It comes out in a millisecond and he was a real sicko.
I just saw this ( it is a good video, I will see what else you have) because I have been watching a lot of Ghost videos lately, I just saw them live and the stage show is amazing and it keeps you rocking! They are one of my top 3 shows I have seen live.
dude on the right of the screen just totally interrupted everytime the other dudes tried to speak. didn't even really give the dude in the middle a chance to talk, and it was his first time listening to ghost so a real reaction video should have been him mostly speaking.....but nooooo, dude on right had to just not stop talking.
'He is' is actually also an ode to SL (Selim Lemouchi) from The devil's blood. They did a US tour with behemoth and In solitude once and became friends with In solitude. Since members of In solitude were/are in Ghost, that's for one where it comes from. SL also toured and was friends with Watain, the connection with Sweden is evident. I actually don't know if SL was friends with Tobias Forge (singer for ghost). Wanna now more? I used to be friends in high school with SL, since we lived in the same city in The Netherlands, and shared common interest. :)
Ghost has disrupted some conventions about heavy/hard rock and some people don't like having their turf uprooted(Grunge is a good example), not me I've enjoyed Ghost. Every album is different Tobias doesn't try to repeat himself to often.
This is the first time I hear about ghost - thanks for introducing them to me! As a return, I would like to recommend you a very young group. But incredible. I'd like to see a reaction to them. They're 3 sisters from Mexico doing heavy rock. They're called "The Warning". Check this video from a 1.5 year ago. ua-cam.com/video/E62SVvLw9FI/v-deo.html Again, thanks.
Omgawwwwwd... I just freakin got it too.... RUBBLE. I can't believe that all this time I never got it. A complete WTF moment. BTW Ghost effing rocks. This song does not represent their ability to make ya head roll 4real. Try Cirice. Or Ritual. Great band.
I'm a ghost fan - this is fun at concerts (my son hates it even then). But really it's a bit of a poo song. Saw them in Leeds last year (and with Metallica the year before) and their live act is astounding experience. And that is the thing - an experience, not just someone playing their songs as with other bands I love. Only been a fan since early 2017 - so I'm a noob in his 50s. Like cirice this song shows how the satanist words and behaviour are so akin to what the catholic and evangelic church is and does.
These guys should stick to football commentary.... Sporting beards and stocking caps doesn't qualify them for rock commentary... And they brought up Kiss... WTF
The guy on the right is annoying. To say this song is harmless is ridiculous. Read the lyrics:: We're standing here by the abyss and the world is in flames Two star-crossed lovers reaching out to the beast with many names He is He's the shining and the light without whom I cannot see And he is Insurrection, he is spite, he's the force that made me be He is Nostro dis pater, nostr' alma mater He is We're hiding here inside a dream and all our doubts are now destroyed The guidance of the morning stars will lead the way into the void He is He's the shining and the light without whom I cannot see And he is Insurrection, he is spite, he's the force that made me be He is Nostro dis pater, nostr' alma mater He is He is He's the shining and the light without whom I cannot see And he is Insurrection, he is spite, he's the force that made me be He is He's the shining and the light without whom I cannot see And he is The disobedience that holds us together He is Nostro dis pater, nostr' alma mater And we are falling over the precipice It's about Satan.
Your comment is ridiculous, they aren't really satanists, it's all theatrics. It is however a commentary on all the evil that's done in the name of religion, the hypocrisy with many of these Evangelical Christians is horrible.
@@lorireynolds3540 It's your comment that's ridiculous. I never said they were Satanists. I just said he song was about Satan,..which it is. And it isnt harmless,to some susceptible people. Not to me though. I've been a fan for a long time. Tobias has said they arent Satanists in several interviews. I know it's theatrics, much the same as Alice Cooper does.

Tobias is super kind! I've met him and shook his hand.

Good song but kinda weird video.
Too much talk and less listening, like children
Im down for.ghost content, take a sub
The first album is the best if you like true metal. I guess the guy to the left likes false metal.
The guy on the right is annoying. To say this song is harmless is ridiculous.

react nickelback, pleaseeee!!! hugs from Brazil \o/
Ghost is like a high school edgelord's notebook. I dont hate their music, but the theatrics are cheesy as fuck.
