Anti armor, ffr, ultracite cores, charging barrels. The ultimate setup, unless you play bloodied, then switch aa to bloodied. Tons of fun, it's like a siege weapon

My AAFFR Charging Gatling Laser made me enjoy this weapon so much more, it's epic. The FFR makes up for the DPS you "lose" by not having a non-charging barrel.

Faster fire rate works well with faster fire rate. The speed is more than the %25 percent.

@MihaiCornean yes they are worth. Just give them a try. Since it's just a weapon mod you can switch back basically for free

I think it’s the perk which extends fusion core duration like you can get it to 1200 per reload

Spin-up and (I believe this is the case) that the fusion core simply disappears out of your inventory instead of ending up at 1% (or 0%), so you can recharge it, makes this weapon a no-go for me.

It is an underrated weapon, try an AA25ffr with charging barrel, you will thank me later! 🤪
If you use regular fusion core you can recharge them with the fusion core recharger, basically you have infinite ammo for free. Switch to GP when you are fighting bosses and you are good to go!

I like keeping the lazer beam visible... very easy to walk it onto target. Yes, Power User will double your core use.

I have a 1* Vampire Ultracite Laser Gatling(green beam with the double ammo perk), full health build, and it takes ALOT to kill me as I carry a lot of cores as well. I hate the spin up to the point I just keep firing when I switch targets. Easy with the ammo count. Might use 2 or 3 cores in SQB.
I also carry a AA with charging barrels for boss fights.

Try that bloodied ffr w charging barrels. But the stagger ruins it for me too.

Charging barrels great when you have ffr on it. Otherwise, not so much.

I love my Ultra-Gatling but the only time I bring it out is for boss encounters. The reason is the same reason you have, the spin up. Take that away, or even just reduce it, and the thing would rarely leave my side if I am in power armor.

I have a few with faster fire rate and charging barrels,
its a strong contender for a daily driver in a vats build.
its infinite ammo in how the fusion core recharger works & being able to fire ~475 shots between reloads
its not the king for DPS, but the convenience is nice.

I do like having the higher fire rate mods on it but it just eats away and just breaks too fast and sometimes I get a bug where it doesn’t fire or forces me to reload despite a full tank

It does not... the spin up time is rhe same... nor does speed demon effect it...

I crafted 28 gatling lasers and still can't get no charging barrel mods so I gave up and will stick with 50 cal

very low drop rate from dailies in the bog. otherwise buy the plan from player vendors

The one thing that’s annoys me about the ultracite lasers is a certain visual bug it has that amazing blue and red color scheme with blue accents but certain attachments will just bug the gun and remove the color scheme and it will show the basic green color scheme but will keep the green lasers
