AWESOME!!!!!! And not just because I'm in it!
Thanks Professor :) !
While not krampus enthusiastic, this does give me ideas for a dungeon scene for gi joe or transformers. Excellent usage of multiple mediums.
Awesome, glad it sparked an idea of your own!
Cool build, but the thing that stuck out to me was showing the paint process in 4 windows simultaneously. Pure Genius! One of those things that seems obvious once you see it, but you've never seen before. Keeps the video from bogging down for people that know your techniques, but still allows new people to see what's going on. Excellent job!
Thank you for that and for the CC. I really appreciate it!
w00t PDM, boo Krampus! Your plans are very fancy, I love it. The implication that the skulls once belonged to children is SUPER creepy. Awesome Boss Lair John!
Right on Mr Gunn!! Thank you !!
Awesome! I suspect Krampus may be busier than Santa this Christmas...
He just might be haha! Thanks :)
Your builds just keep getting better and better, everything you do is so polished! When ! see the end result I forget you made this all by hand and heart, really amazing stuff, very talented indeed, I loved it.
Thank you 🙏. I try and improve with every video not just my crafting but my videography as well. I love every aspect of contributing to this community, and comments like yours only help fuel the fire!
Time to relax with lunch on my day off and enjoy this video. Can't wait for PDM's side of this to drop as well.
Enjoy Eric :)
brilliant work as always John. I'm proud to be a small part of work like this. you always go beyond the quickest, easiest version of a craft. I can only wish to have the same work ethic as you! :)
You're products help elevate so many crafts like this one.... Thanks!
Original with this pentagonal shape. Always more skulls and LEDs. Merry Christmas John.
Merry Christmas to you as well Patrick :) !!
I'm not gonna lie...
Every video of this channel make me forget about my on-line classes... and I'm the teacher... LOL
Priorities man, priorities...
Thanks for sharing this awesome build, John!! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!
hahah....oh boy! You got it, and thank you for tuning in :) Happy Holidays to you as well!
And again, another excellent build. Your attention to detail and willingness to try out different ideas and techniques always make your vids an enjoyable and informative view. Go nerds!
Right on Marcus, thank you :) !!
Littke interesting fact for you. This is a matter of opinion and preference but lava often has dissolved gasses in it so it wouldn't necesssrily hurt to leave a few bubbles in it once in a while. Granted it depends entirely on what mood you're going for but it could add to the effect sometimes.
Very cool thank you. I'll say this though, Superclear Epoxy would not be what you want to use if you want bubbles in your final result. To this day I've never had a single bubble in a finished resin pour with their products !
I’m probably a weirdo for commenting on all these. But all this speaks to my inner nerd and it’s so amazing! I can’t wait till you get big enough and can do workshops. That would be cool. I would do more builds but I don’t have a place to do it yet. Someday though. Keep up the amazing work! 😊
Hi Shelby, I'm glad you're enjoying the video's... you know it's cool to be a nerd right :) Thanks for joining me as well on Patreon, I look forward to chatting some more online!
We should all aspire to be nerdy weirdos.
When you are wiring a larger number of higher power LEDs in series, you should use thicker wire. Thin wire has larger resistance and when the string is longer, voltage drop could be significant, in the worst case affecting some of the LEDs on the end. This wouldn't be a problem for normal LEDs, when you are using these smart ones, it potentially could be.
For diffusing the light, you can try using some pieces of cotton on top of each LED. However, a probably finer solution would be to make use of light diffusing sheets from an old LCD monitor or TV. These are designed to diffuse light and are very good at it. You can also do some really cool stuff with the whole display backlight. When you take off the "LCD" layer from the display assembly and power on the backlight, you get a uniform light source in the size of the display. Great use for broken smartphones, for example. The whole thing is just a few millimeters thick. If you want to know more, you can see some DIY Perks videos, he talks about this subject a few times.
Interesting advice/tips... Thank you.
Stella build!you pretty much covered every crafting trick, Das, electronics, foam and resin. The skulls are just awesome and really set the scene for the piece. Really can’t wait for the next one…..I’m sure it will be just as epic (but not quite as epic as an outhouse of dooooooom!) 😉
Thanks Andy... The skulls from TigerSkullRPG really helped move this project along for sure... Maybe there's even room for them in the Outhouse of Doom?!?!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I bought the skulls pack and they are fantastic, can see some uses for them definitely…..even in a certain ‘house’……..mwah hahahhahahahahahaha! 😉
Whoa! PDM guest appearance??? Love it!
Thanks :) !
Wickedly Epic piece brother!!! Never, ever a disappointment. Professor Dungeon Master, hunh? Well, we all know Krampus spends his time bagging bad children during the season. Whereas Professor DM and Deathbringer spend the entire year bagging bad jokes. And YOU know for one, I am THE expert in that department....
Merry Christmas everyone !!!
Haha... makes a great combination then doesn't it. Thanks so much for a year full of entertainment and smiles here in the comments. Merry Christmas.
I would love to have a candle scented like the smell of beta magic cards from the 90’s
yeah right !!!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT the ink has a smell. I miss it so
If your friends from the candle place could imitate it, i know people would buy it
The orange sheet is called a gel :)
Yes it is :)
Badass, you deliver every time! amazing job!!!
Thank you !!!
I was so excited for your holiday episode(s) and I must say, you didn't disappoint. John promises, and John sure delivers! 😱🤩
Thank you so much :)
Brilliant and armsome.
Thank you Maurice!
Really great lair!!
Thank you !!!
Well done sir, I like how bright the lava is.
Thank you !!
Amazing build and it really feels like it brings together so many different types of crafting, and like you said a lot of amazing collaborators! Happy holidays!
Thank you !! I'm hoping to line up some more fun collaborations this year! Happy Holidays to you too Tim.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Happy holidays to you and yours!
YES!!!! Amazing build, once again!
Right on... Thank you !!
SWEET.
Thank you !
Another awesome build, you never disappoint!!!
I really appreciate that... Thanks Rico!
Geeeez that’s so beautiful!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you :) !!
Excellent build . Merry Christmas to you sir
Thank you Jeff, and you as well!
next level...
Right on! Thanks.
Amazing!!!
Thank you :) !!
Knocked this one out of the park!
Right on... Thank you !!
Well John you said it was going to be awesome and you were right! It was an awesome build and an awesome video! I was just a bit dubious about the antlers until you showed them finished! They are my favorite part of the whole build! They look astounding! They look real! The skulls also look pretty cool! I couldn't figure out what you were planning on doing with so many skulls until I saw it! I'd have to say they are my next favorite part of the build! I give this video two thumbs way WAY up! Excellent job! You really should start doing workshops! PS. I loved the way you incorporated last week's build into this week's! It really made it come to life!
Thank you Frank. I really enjoyed working on the antlers for this build. I might make some more in the not so distant future. As far as workshops... that's probably the 5th request I've had to run one this week... we'll see :)
This was fantastic man. I am thinking of switching the lava for blood to create a terrain piece for my Khorne army 😉
Oh wow, that sounds awesome! Have fun, and thank you.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Thanks man, it will be a fun project to do 😉👍.
We should all just call mod podge and black paint " The Jeremy" or maybe "The Canadian undercoat."
Absolutely Phenomenal! Your videos are exceptional. Merry Christmas! I hope Santa Claws treats you to a well….
Thank you so much I really appreciate that ! Merry Christmas to you as well :)
Who else is watching this while completely nude on their front yard screaming obscenities at passing cars?
Dan told me you grew up on Cole ave. I grew up on Chandler and he was on Crowell
Get out of here!! Yeah Cole Ave, small world!! I was right behind Alfonso’s.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Alfonso's great bread there, great black and white cookies too.
@@tomdulski3729 I agree... that was my Sunday task growing up.... I had to get the Italian bread for dinner. I loved their cookies dipped in chocolate and green sprinkles too.
Really cool! I've been wanting to make something wicked and evil like that for my krampus. But since you colored your resin for the pool did you really need to use a color light gel? Seems like extra work that's not necessary being you colored the resin wouldve been enough if not make it just slightly brighter even after you scuffed up the acrylic glass to diffuse your lights a little.
Also rather than making the horns out of tin foil and clay. You couldve also used real antlers or something. You can pick up deer antlers at your local pet store fairly cheap, or better yet see if you have a taxidermy shop locally and buy all sorts of different horns from them. My local taxidermy shops sells antlers for a buck or 2 depending on the size of the horn. Plus you'll be supporting a local small business which helps your community.
Thank you! I added the gel to enhance the orange and I thought it being scuffed up would really help with the light dispersion. It didn't help too much. Give it a go without the gel and let me know!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I just updated my post and added another idea for you for any future builds. For I intend to use real horn or antler for my future build.
Did you use an oil wash on the teeth pillars?
Agrax Earthshade.
Tigerskull doesn't have the skulls on his website, where'd you get em?
They are up there now. Just bought the STL file myself.
*_GREEN XPS_*
Yep :) Thanks to Gerard Boom !
So where did you get Krampus? Was it a print also?
I would also like to know.
You'll have to tune in to Dungeon Craft on Dec 21 for that. He painted it up and shipped it off to me for the video.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT you have a deal.
Professor Dungeon Master's "stone wall" behind him doesn't look very good, maybe you could make him a better looking "stone wall" ?
I'll have a chat with him about that :)
still SO sad those candles are not available in Europe... :(
Yeah, that's a bummer...
