I love how you put pockets in everything you make! 😂👍🏼
Pockets are a non-negotiable 😂
As it should be.
I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant, and I reckon this would be a beautiful, bump-friendly dress!
Congrats! Yes this Dress would be perfect!!
20 weeks pregnant and thought the EXACT same thing!
A very pretty dress. A wonderful design for a wedding. 😊
I know it- now I'm thinking, Do I have time to make this before my cousin's wedding???
I have been planning a dress exactly like this one but hadn't figured out the logistics yet, thank you for doing that for me😁
Oh how perfect! You’re welcome ☺️
Wonderful. A suggestion: Could you make Ganni's viral POPLIN BLOUSE using one of your dress patterns? Thank you very much for your videos and patterns♥
I LOVE the look of that blouse so much! But I feel there are already so many good tutorials out there for that style is there need for another? If I ever make a blouse like that for myself I’ll be sure to film the process though 😊
@@RoseryApparel I have seen some tutorials, but I like more how you do and explain the process of your projects. If you make the blouse it will surely be easier and more professional. Anyway, thanks for your tutorials. They are always beautiful and interesting. Thanks to you I have sewn several dresses with the Pansy pattern and I couldn't be happier and prouder of the result♥
Love the dress. Can I ask where you get your t shirts. Love the neck line and struggling to find one I like in NZ
This has to be easily one of my favorite dresses you've made. I don't think you could have found a more perfect fabric choice for this style!
Absolutely love the detail of this fabric is beautiful in a dress
Love this dress, I’m off to Spotlight this morning I will see if they have anything similar so I can make one for me or my daughter ❤️
I am not going to make this dress BUT I got two useful tips out of your video: 1) I can use the fabric I have with the grain horizontal rather than vertical and 2) I should sew the pockets and the sides in one go! I am not an expert so I get a lot out of your tutorials. Than you so much!
Thank you for teaching a summer dress includes lining.
You’re welcome! Hope it’s helpful ☺️
You are brilliant and I love this dress. Thank you for sharing, particularly greatful that you showed is the mistakes and corrections simultaneously.
Love love love ❤
Thank you Janelle, always such a blessing watching you. Looking forward to the next Japanese creation.
I'm going to make about 5 of these for myself!!!!! I love it!!!! ❤
Years ago, I made these too wear during pregnancy. Easy to make. Easy to wear easy to wash and grows with your bump.
Thanks for the lesson. I have a black eyelet Cotten fabric. I’m going to make a dress similar to yours.
It looks great💕
This is so cute! I love this fabric so much.
This looks SOOOOO good! 😍😍😍😍
This is perfect timing! I wanted to make a dress just like this for Easter for my girls and you posted. It must be a sign.😂😂😂 Thanks again!
Cute!! Have fun making them 😍
What a beautiful dress 😍. Thanks❤
So very cute! Thank you ❤
So very cute. Thanks for sharing.
I love this!!! Thank you
Looks lovely! Love the video! 😊
I’ve been feeling rather uninspired for sewing lately and I can’t wait to give this a go for the summer! Thanks for a great tutorial!
I love how everything looks in your new sewing space! That window 😍
so pretty
Beautiful
That is very pretty fabric & it makes a lovely summery dress. Nicely done.
Such a cute idea! Im so glad you did something you love with that special fabric. Definitely adding that to my long list of projects...
Such simple elements and I just know this type of dress would look lovely on any body shape and size, love that! Sometimes less really is more
So beautiful dress!
Thank you 🧡
Excellent video and beautiful dress. I’m glad you used the material you so loved from Japan. ❤🥰
Love everything about the dress. Perfect fabric and colour. You look so angelic in this easy simple pattern. Thank you Janelle ❤
You look gorgeous ❤ well done
I love broderie anglaise it’s such a pretty fabric. Your dress turned out lovely.
Saved this video for when I find the right fabric at the thrift store. Fingers crossed I get lucky soon because I absolutely love the look of this dress!🧡
I have never seen an iron that stands itself up. How neat.
Also LOVE this dress. Love all your dresses really!
Aw thank you! 😆
It's an Oliso Proplus Smart Auto-lift iron and I can highly recommend it! It makes ironing fun.😊 I treated myself to one a few months ago and the novelty has yet to wear off.😂 They are on the expensive side but if you want to treat yourself to a really great iron, it's so worth it! 😊❤
This is so cute! I think I will give this a go with some linen I got that was a little see-through, so it being lined works out perfectly.
Yay top 100 and top 6 likes and comments. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for watching! 🧡
❤❤❤Dreamy looking dress.
Dreamy is the right word 😍
what a beautiful dress.. 🥰
Thank you! I’m in love with it 🧡
I so love your tutorials! Thank you so much! And i adore the scalloped hem on your broderie anglaise fabric, so pretty!❤😍 All your fabrics choices and dresses are so lovely, all my favorite styles and colours too! I have been trying to find a polkadot fabric like the gorgeous dress you are wearing but no luck so far. I'm also very excited to see how your sewing room is progressing too! I' love seeing how people style their sewing spaces! I think yours is going to be beautiful in the soft cream and pink.❤😊
Aw thank you for such a lovely comment! 🧡
So beautiful! I love how the shorter lining emphasises the embroidery on the bottom as if it was a decorative panel! I've had a length of white brodeire anglaise in my stash for the longest time and no idea how to use it because the embroidery itself is not the most delicate and the shapes it creates are a bit weird too (sort of vertical waves IIRC), but the edge is totally dreamy and I'd love to use it. This project gives me ideas, thanks! 😄
So pretty! I'm a nursing mom and I want to make this. It seems like it would be good for breastfeeding. 😊
I have one dress with tied straps and I can confirm it's great for breastfeeding! Mine has a princess-seamed bodice, but this one seems even more comfortable as the elastic gives you even easier access.
How lovely you look in that dress and little slip on shoes. Take care.
This would also be a cute nighty in the fabric you used.
Pocketsesss!
Your dress is beautiful.
Aw thank you!
What a beautiful fabric and such a fun summer dress!
Can you make suggestions on what to use for lining fabric or where you buy it?
Thanknu
😍😍😍
Janelle, im a tad confused about how the opening in the back should be. I have rewatched the instructions a few times. Did you not fully sew up the lining piece? Ex: Like how you would sew a purse lining. Thabk you. Lovely dress and im inspired again to see some clothes since having my son. ❤
❤❤
Love love this dress and so glad you made something special with special fabric!! To clarify when threading the elastic, we're slipping it between the lining and the main fabric, correct?
Yes that’s right! ☺️
Great!! Thanks 🎉 Can’t wait to make my own.
❤❤❤❤
Beautiful!! Would there be any way to add sleeves to this style dress?
Do the elastic channels give a different look to shirring?
Would you mind saying your height for reference please? Apologies if i missed you saying already. This is so beautiful
Ooh yes that’s really helpful to know and something I always forget to mention! I’m 5ft3 😊
@RoseryApparel thankyou so much this would be the perfect length on me!
Constructive criticism; when you sew or overlock, the camera wiggles. Probably because the floor vibrates as well. Just to let you know. Lovely as always. Bless
Due to lack of space I had the camera set up on the table, but yeah when I saw the footage I won’t be doing that again 😅
Do dresses usually use the same fabric for the pockets? I thought pockets were usually in less fancy fabric?
You can use whatever fabric you like for the pockets! I find you can sometimes see the pockets in the side seams though so like to match the fabric to my dress (and because of the eyelets in this particular fabric it would’ve definitely been noticeable if I used a different fabric)
Ah that makes sense!
I love your style but I could never wear something like that without a bra. I’m not really busty but I feel I look vulgar without one.
