The one that said being alone for a long period of time is as unhealthy as smoking 15 cigarettes a day almost gave me a panic attack.
It said as unhealthy as; it didn't say it does the same things smoking cigarettes does. But anyway, I'm not sure if I believe that it is as unhealthy as smoking 15 cigarettes as I am quite sexy in my current state. It just gave me a temporary "oh sh*t" moment. ;)

I believe there talking about a it more as a physiological fact, not necessarily that youre physical health would deteriorate. for example, not coming into contact with a human being for years can be damaging to youre health on a mental level. But, being alone, or preferring to be alone, isn't really bad.

RANDOM DUDES Re: your comment to Aisha xx. First of all, she was stating an opinion not an argument and you did not refute it since you provided nothing more than an opinion back. Where do you get your statistics from? Ever heard of any of the highly successful, award winning female comedians Lucille Ball, Ellen D or Fanny Bryce, Joan Rivers, Tina Fey, Carol Burnett ect.? If your talking numbers, than there are in fact more male comedians but not necessarily more successful (and this is only because of male oppression against women throughout history)
Get your facts straight before you attempt to dis someone for their opinion. Oh, and why do men HAVE to use humor more than women (a generalized but interesting statement)? Do I detect a sense of inferiority on your part? Perhaps, that's why you feel men have to use humor? In order to compete or get along in this world? Wow, who hurt you?
