I always talk about this ... accidentally opening regices chamber trying to decipher it's Braille because my friend had a computer back in 2003 and looked up braille translation when that door popped open out of nowhere I screamed and jumped like it was a career achievement ! Omg good times ...I agree with you tho the Regis entire background the music tall the requirements it's all mysterious and intriguing
Couldn’t agree more. Deciphering those braille puzzles as a kid felt like uncovering the deepest mysteries of all time. I actually thought it was a secret and that not even the developers knew about it.
One thing that wasn't mentioned regarding Enamorus was that once you finally triggered it to appear in the overworld, you then had to stun it long enough to engage it in battle. And with it flying around, all the other Pokemon in the way, etc, that made it way harder than it needed to be.
For the Regis, when I was in school, me and my friends got together and discussed the braille and how to solve the riddles. It was some of the most fun I ever had with Pokémon I can remember 🥰
A very good listing. I found the roaming Beasts in Crystal difficult to deal with, myself. Having a Master Ball was indeed a saving grace for one of these.
Fun Fact on #10. In Fire Red and Leaf Green, there is a Glitch. Where if a Wild Pokémon Used Roar, it'll unintentionally forced itself to never be able to encounter again in that Save File. Two Legendary Pokémon in Fire Red and Leaf Green have Roar in the Moveset when you encounter them. Those two Infamous Legendary Roamers are Raikou and Entei.
I’ll never forget it taking me 102 ultra balls to catch suicune from HGSS (forget which version). The reason why I can remember this is b/c I literally named it 102ultraballs (or a dif version that fit the nickname limit). It was so funny when I saw suicune as the forced first Dmax Adventure in Crown Tundra. 😆
I understand why it's not here, but honorable mention to Rayquaza in Gen 3. I fell through the floor so many times in the Sky Tower just to get to a Level 70 Rayquaza that would just demolish my team and if I somehow got it down in health, it had the catch rate of 3 to deal with at the time
Enarmous nearly made me throw my controller trying to catch it. It (and to a lesser extent the other genies) caused me to die so many times trying to stun it so I could engage in a fight. I ALWAYS ran straight into those tornados it would whip up and the bog makes it so you get slowed down even approaching it. Eventually I just said screw it, bought like 90 basic wing balls, and just hucked them until I stunned it.
The Galarian birds in Pokemon Go... man you need to use a daily incense, then take a walk and be very lucky to encounter one. And then they have a very low catch rate and very high chance they run away after you miss a throw.
I just got my first bird last week, and I've been hunting for them since they were released in Go. I get that legendaries are supposed to be special, but the fact that they can take over a year to get (without using a master ball) is just too cruel.
I encountered a gzapdos once not too long ago randomly but sadly I was low on p-balls to even catch it but the whole not being able to weaken it or use a status move is what makes it tough.
To be fair, the Galarian versions of the Legendary birds were much easier to catch than previous roaming legends, because they stuck to one area and didn't flee at the start of the battle.
I think that getting Arceus in original D/P/Pt is much harder than nowadays, since you had to use action replay codes to get event item Azure Flute to even start the encounter, and there are also few extra steps to take(I don't remember all of them since I did only catch him only once in Pokemon Platinum on Emulator). Nowdays you just have to finish up Pokemon Legends Arceus to get it in this game, and Pokemon BDSP. I personally would put Jirachi on my top 3.
Why Jirachi? You get one for free in BDSP if you've played Sword or Shield before on your Switch. And you can get it before getting even two gym badges. There's also a free Mew if you have played LGPE as well. The person who gives it to you is right next to the person who gives you Jirachi.
I remember seeing a hint in a pokemon magazine saying that the one location with the braille was the entire alphabet. So then I decoded all of them on a piece of paper and went around solving the puzzles. It's my fondest memory from a pokemon game I have to date
It might be worth mentioning that you also needed to nickname your Regice, give it an ice-type item (like Casteliacone), and enter into the Route 105 cave with all 3 other regis during the day in order for you to obtain Regigigas in ORAS. Just ORAS specifically.
Great video, but I have a story to share about the easiest legendary catch I've ever had. The EASIEST time I've ever had catching a legendary was when I was going through the Ultra Space portals for USUM. I went into the portal and anyone who has ever encountered Xerneas, know's about it's move "Geomancy" and the stat boosts it receives. It's completely wiped my team before while trying to catch it and it's annoying. Anyway, I encountered it the second time after it wiped my team. So, I thought, "Y'know what. I'm just going to throw a Pokeball at it first turn and see what happens." So, I threw a regular Pokeball. YES, a POKEBALL. Not a great ball, not an ultra ball, not a freaking quick ball. Three shakes and it stayed inside. I was so elated, surprised, shocked, and mad. lol
Love the video, but I need to mention that you are able to obtain more than 3 Phione in a single playthrough of Arceus. If you go into the room where you caught Manaphy and Phione, there is a chance that a Phione will spawn in there!
For me? The gardens would be Cresselia in ORAS, I remember watching a YT video saying to encounter her, u would need to wait for an specific day and hour just to catch it and after the time would change? U couldn’t catch her until it was that exact day and hour again
The reason it took me multiple attempts to catch Deoxys in ORAS is that, having not played a Game before Sinnoh at that point, I'd only ever heard about Deoxys and seen it fight Rayquaza in the movie. Naturally I assumed this thing would be a tough fight just to weaken it enough to catch it. And still riding the Adrenaline high from the absolutely badass cutscene before... I OHKO'ed it with Mega Rayquaza...
I think ho-oh in crystal is up there. You need to beat the elite four, catch all three legendary beasts (2 are roaming, one is a story encounter), and climb all the way up to the tenth floor of Tin Tower. Only then can you encounter it. Keep in mind that gen 2 is probably the hardest generation to capture roaming legends. No arena trap or shadow tag to keep them there, and no quick or dusk balls to make catching easier. The only thing you can do is use mean look and sleep them, and even then, they have roar, so they can end the battle whenever they’re awake.
In order to catch the Arceus, you need to already have the Arceus. Sounds like job interviews. In order to get the job, you need to already have the experience which you can only acquire by having the job.
Giratina in ORAS is another one where you need multiple Pokemon to obtain it. The lake trio first to get access to Dialga or Palkia due to version exclusivity, then both on the same game to go after the Ghost/Dragon
Legendary Pokemon are just amazing!! They can be as strong as . They also have amazing beautiful and interesting origin stories like the Treasures of Ruin and the Paradox Duo!! Mewtwo’s origin story is so cool being a clone of the mystical Mew. But in the anime we got a in-depth and emotional perceptive by meeting a Mewtwo in the Pokémon Mewtwo Strikes Back!!
There is one way to get Regigigas without trading in Gen 8. Catch Regileki or Regidrago in one playthrough. Deposit it in Pokémon Home. And do another one where you get the other. But then you have to ask, "Is it worth it at that point?" Also want to mention Keldeo. Since you need to: find all the footprints of the other three members of the Swords of Justice, catch them, & then make some curry on an island while the trio is in your party.
Yeah Arceus is a hell of a catch, did it in both games, but I did it in PLA without tossing a pokemon into battle. Just kept restarting the battle till I completed it with just my trainer.
I do think you should’ve mentioned how the beasts in particular are annoying because even if you trap them with mean look or shadow tag, they can roar you away, so a strategy that usually works on Roamers doesn’t for them unless you carry taunt as well on the trapper.
Man getting mewtwo in pokemon yellow was tough considering the power gap in regards to stats. Then i would say the og 3 starters in pokemon yellow just because you would jump through hoops you had to figure out yourself. Keep in mind, this is before the age of the internet.
I’m surprised that you didn’t go further into Regigias a bit. Having to have both B2 & W2 for 1, & going to a certain place with a held item that matches + a nickname for the other? Wow! & don’t get me started on Manaphy itself in Pokémon Legends. It’s actually pretty interesting that the answer was in the Present Day. Then there’s Rayquaza in HG/SS, it’s a long way & requires both. Also, Colt near a Cooking Pot in the Tundra anyone?
"how did people ever solve the Regi trio puzzle" we translated the braille... really not that hard. we also had the internet back then, as well as strategy guides.
Enamorous drove me to insanity trying to catch her in Legends Arceus holy sh**. Worth it though because I love using Enamorous Therian! Zygarde in Dynamax adventures was also painful... The only serious challenge in sword and shield. Arceus in Legends Arceus was pretty tough but with practice it became a really good challenge! That counts as catching him right since he will join you after beating him.
I had a bitch of a time catching Virizion in Sword, courtesy of hail (and hail restarting after other weather conditions end) putting the battle on a clock
You know I really don't understand why people seemed to have trouble with the Regis when RSE fist came out. I don't own the games as a kid but my younger brother did and he worked it out on his own with out any guid books. Still took him a good couple of hours to complete because every time we worked out one puzzle we would go back to the Pokemon centre to switch to team around to be able to advance through the puzzle. Personally I found the roaming Pokemon the hardest to catch because they were in the game unlike event Pokemon so the frustration having them right there but be hard to find and then only having 1 chance to catch it especially the beasts because they would roar mad them super hard to catch for me.
I seriously though Deoxys in ORAS was a guarenteed catch because i threw an ultra ball at it at full health and caught it. But it turns out he did have a catch rate of 3
Or be like me. Pokémon with: Harvest + leppa berry Skill swap Trick/bestow Sunny day if you’re extra unlucky. Rest of the team can be defensive baton pass chain to become unkillable. Yes this is overkill but shiny legends are worth it.
I spent 3 hours trying to catch Terapagos yesterday. I swear it had the perfect move set to fuck up my entire team and I refused to change Pokémon cuz that was my champion team and the only ones strong enough to battle it
i've heard mew in red and blue is extremely difficult, needing cut and surf b4 the ss anne leaves means needing to trade for a pokemon that knows cut in order to get access to lt surge without boarding the ship then contuing till u can surf
I learned that 3 is best ivs on legends arceus. Alphas and legendaries are, like usual, guaranteed 3 best iv. A natural 3, not a peddle/rock boosted 3. Also, on a random note, alphas are max size on scarlet/violet same with xxl on pokemon go. Xl are serious biggun's(2nd biggest size)
When I did the regi puzzle the first time in my ruby I actually didn't use an online guide(didn't even think to look one up) I just googled the Braille alphabet & translated it myself
Suprised that Zacian isn't on this list considering that it basically has a 3 stage attack boost on top of a ludocrois attack stat of 170. It oh-kod almost my entire team once it got off that swords dance. It'll also outspeed most of ur mons thanksto its 145 speed and if that wasn't enough, it also has the best type combo being steel fairy. So in other words, it doesn't deserve a spot here cuz it's annoying to find but rather how nonsensically strong it is.
I don't think you quite gave Regigigas enough credit, the ORAS version especially has so many more arbitrary requirements you'd just never figure out without looking them up. For some reason your Regice has to have a nickname, and has to be holding a cold item of some sort, like a Casteliacone. JUST Regice has arbitrary restrictions like this, none of the others. Kudos to anyone who's ever figured that out without the help of a guidebook or Google lol
Metang has a catch rate of 3 as well ..i remember how many ultra balls and re-encounters it took for me to catch it despite being just a pre evolved pseudo... In storm silver hack
Honestly I caught the four Ruin Pokémon in my first ultra ball each lol. As well as the Tapus. Idk if those were specifically easier but my luck was amazing with those 8
oh, enamorus is *bad word*-ing FAST, in the bog, that slows you down, and likes to fly over the muck. and to make it worse, to get arceus, you need to get enamoures
The Deoxys in the delta episode of ORAS does not have a catch rate of 3. You can catch it pretty easily without doing any damage with a plain old pokeball.
Except for the fact that before the first attempt, you have to catch Rayquaza and battle Zinnia before fighting Deoxys, all without being able to save beforehand.
Mystic: usually require a masterball.. Me: catching everything with normal pokeballs and in x/y used the premium balls (same catchrate) for legendarys.
Raikou and the lati twins have 110-115 speed tier ,...you would need an over leveled Golbat with mean look or a crobat to make it alot easier without m ball,.arena trap didn't exist in gen ,2 and neither did shadow tag, and arena trap doesn't work on pokemon who are airbound
Facts arceus was the hardest to catch in diamond pearl and platinum you got have to get the pass to get arceus but in legends you have to compete the Pokédex to get arceus and in brilliant diamond and shining pearl you have complete the legend arceus game to get arceus in brilliant diamond and shining pearl
Seeing as how I Play Pokémon Go and transfer stuff to home on the regular, Meltan for me is just another dime-a-dozen catch. 💀 I can understand why it’s on this list tho
I still am having difficulty defeating and capturing in Arceus in Legends. Also cannot find the one Stake I’m missing to get Chien Pao. I’ve spent ten months looking for it and keep using maps but I just can’t figure out where I missed a stake
@@arcanineryu Tried that and I gave up after six more hours wasted trying to find that stake! I just can't seem to find it! I'll spend entire afternoons literally going around in circles looking for it and I can't find it at all!
As a kid I loved how difficult it was to get the Regis. It was all kinda spooky and mysterious and took me months.
Yeah it was pretty cool!
so true
Couldn’t agree more. Deciphering those braille puzzles as a kid felt like uncovering the deepest mysteries of all time. I actually thought it was a secret and that not even the developers knew about it.
For the ruinous quartet, i used Austin John plays' guide video to find the stakes i missed
Same
Yup yup. I did the same as well.
I asked your mom to help me
Same!!
I can't sit through his videos he takes forever getting to the point 🙄
One thing that wasn't mentioned regarding Enamorus was that once you finally triggered it to appear in the overworld, you then had to stun it long enough to engage it in battle. And with it flying around, all the other Pokemon in the way, etc, that made it way harder than it needed to be.
I assassinated her with jet balls
Yeah, you end up getting jumped from like 5 different Pokémon going for it lol
I hit from far with a jet ball and got lucky 😅
For the Regis, when I was in school, me and my friends got together and discussed the braille and how to solve the riddles. It was some of the most fun I ever had with Pokémon I can remember 🥰
A very good listing. I found the roaming Beasts in Crystal difficult to deal with, myself. Having a Master Ball was indeed a saving grace for one of these.
They were a pain in FR LG. If they used Roar then they were gone forever because of a glitch.
Pumping these videos out!! Loving the pokemon binge right now, thanks for another one!
Your profile pic is 🔥🔥. Lol

When I did the regis, I asked my nanny about the dots. She just so happened to have a book of braille, and I used it to translate each letter.
I actually don't get tired of pokemon top 10s haha
Keep up the work, can you do a top 10 of coziest pokemon towns? (Not sure if you have already)
I understand why it's not here, but honorable mention to Rayquaza in Gen 3. I fell through the floor so many times in the Sky Tower just to get to a Level 70 Rayquaza that would just demolish my team and if I somehow got it down in health, it had the catch rate of 3 to deal with at the time
Me too bro, I was so set to catch the MF I got him asleep and on 1HP just to throw a master ball to make 100% sure it wouldn’t fail 😂
Enarmous nearly made me throw my controller trying to catch it. It (and to a lesser extent the other genies) caused me to die so many times trying to stun it so I could engage in a fight. you can say that for any event pokemon in general
THANK YOU. Before bdsp, jirachi was basically uncatchable
I remember seeing a hint in a pokemon magazine saying that the one location with the braille was the entire alphabet. So then I decoded all of them on a piece of paper and went around solving the puzzles. It's my fondest memory from a pokemon game I have to date
Darkrai in PLA was painful. You have to get behind it and it moves quickly. Plus, if you make a mistake, you have to do it all over again.
13:35
DP Void Glitch: Allow me to introduce myself 😂
It might be worth mentioning that you also needed to nickname your Regice, give it an ice-type item (like Casteliacone), and enter into the Route 105 cave with all 3 other regis during the day in order for you to obtain Regigigas in ORAS. Just ORAS specifically.
Wasn’t relicanth and another Pokemon needed as well or was that for regirock I can’t remember
@@LionWithAGun That was to unlock the ability to even begin finding any of the Regis 🤣

For me? The gardens would be Cresselia in ORAS, I remember watching a YT video saying to encounter her, u would need to wait for an specific day and hour just to catch it and after the time would change? U couldn’t catch her until it was that exact day and hour again
Omg I forgot about that. Definitely agree.
Enamerous( and the other genies) in LA were my least favorite part of the game , did not enjoy trying to catch them 😂

In order to catch the Arceus, you need to already have the Arceus.
Sounds like job interviews. In order to get the job, you need to already have the experience which you can only acquire by having the job.
I'm confused by this bc he didn't explain it at all. is it that arceus will only show up in bdsp if it reads that your copy of pla already has one???
Sleep powder used to help me big time when ever I could get the attack off that is😂 I miss those days.
I am surprised that the crap Platinum did to the Regis isn't at least a (dis) honorable mention.
I thought Dynamax Zygarde would get a mention.
Giratina in ORAS is another one where you need multiple Pokemon to obtain it. The lake trio first to get access to Dialga or Palkia due to version exclusivity, then both on the same game to go after the Ghost/Dragon

A legendary that heals itself like the water type tapu is always hard.
I was lucky to learn Braille in school before playing Gen. 3.
When I did the regi puzzle the first time in my ruby I actually didn't use an online guide(didn't even think to look one up) I just googled the Braille alphabet & translated it myself
i did not know a guide existed and did not have internet back then so it was soooo hard before.
i dont know what it was with mewtwo but I struggled so hard on every game that included him
And i was hoping it would get easier to get legendaries in the switch games than earlier.
I had difficulty capturing all of these legendary pokemon. And some from previous gens
Remember when Gamefreak wouldn’t release the flute for the Gen 4 games because they thought players would find it too complicated? Lol
9:35 The RSE games' manuals, have the Brail to Text translation, that's how!
As somebody who has all of these except the genies, the roamings should be #1
Did you really try and say that you basically need to use a masterball to catch legendary's? That's a crock of $hit. Quick and timer balls exist...
I caught Suicune with a Fast Ball right and I just stood in disbelief because it broke out of 21 Ultra Balls
I just caught a chi u with one ultra ball 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Aren’t mythical Pokémon going to win by default since most are locked behind events anyway
Suprised that Zacian isn't on this list considering that it basically has a 3 stage attack boost on top of a ludocrois attack stat of 170.
Damn and I thought Rayquaza was gonna be on here because of how high it’s level is compared to you
This vid might be 3 months old but I caught Shiny Arceus 2 days ago on Brilliant Diamond.
I could be mistaken but in FR/LG if you get roared by one of the roaming beast they disappear completely. Or am I thinking g/s/c?
Metang has a catch rate of 3 as well ..i remember how many ultra balls and re-encounters it took for me to catch it despite being just a pre evolved pseudo... In storm silver hack
U can't catch metang unless your playing a hack like storm silver
Oh u mentioned storm silver ok!!
Kyogre is the easiest Legendary for me all I did was weaken it and use a netball
Imagine in the future Arceus mew giritina and one other legendary decides that master balls don't work on them
Zygarde in Dynamax adventures?
I honestly thought you'd mention how annoying it is to actually make contact witu enamorous while she runs around
Is there a list of the hardest abilties to obtain on this channel?
Mystic: usually require a masterball..
Me: catching everything with normal pokeballs and in x/y used the premium balls (same catchrate) for legendarys.
yeah idk why he said that, not a single pokemon "requires" a master ball
When I heard the themes play for Enamorous and Arceus I got triggered HSHSHSH
I had to thunder wave or Will o Wisp Zacian before she outsped my entire team and swept me with 1 swords dance
Jirachi be like am I joke to you
My hardest would be necrozma because I actually had to get rid of my masterball for it to even show up 😢
My prediction before I start the video is purely based on the title but I’m guessing #1 is going to be latios/latias from ORAS
I wouldn't say the Galarian birds are that difficult. Yes, they roam but you can see them in the overworld and they don't run once you engage them.
I played pokemon emerald again many months ago I spend 8 hrs catching latios
Raikou and the lati twins have 110-115 speed tier ,...you would need an over leveled Golbat with mean look or a crobat to make it alot easier without m ball,.arena trap didn't exist in gen ,2 and neither did shadow tag, and arena trap doesn't work on pokemon who are airbound
I have a melmetal and a shiny melmetal in pokemon go, and a vmax one in sw/sh
Got Miraidon and Koraidon by spamming Repeat Balls after the initial Quick Ball.
That why use mean look the legendary Pokémon from escape
Facts arceus was the hardest to catch in diamond pearl and platinum you got have to get the pass to get arceus but in legends you have to compete the Pokédex to get arceus and in brilliant diamond and shining pearl you have complete the legend arceus game to get arceus in brilliant diamond and shining pearl
Used to catch regis, no sweat....
Roaming legendaries is easily countered by mean look
Seeing as how I Play Pokémon Go and transfer stuff to home on the regular, Meltan for me is just another dime-a-dozen catch. 💀
I can understand why it’s on this list tho
I still am having difficulty defeating and capturing in Arceus in Legends. Also cannot find the one Stake I’m missing to get Chien Pao. I’ve spent ten months looking for it and keep using maps but I just can’t figure out where I missed a stake
Instead of using a map, use a video guide so you can see landmarks
@@arcanineryu Tried that and I gave up after six more hours wasted trying to find that stake! I just can't seem to find it! I'll spend entire afternoons literally going around in circles looking for it and I can't find it at all!
