I have to agree with your comment section, you made a very shallow analysis of these legendaries that even my little described them better with fewer words. Did you run this script through ChatGPT? That kind of cheating urself and ur prospective audience.
I’d like to imagine arceus as a true neutral. It doesn’t seem like a benevolent god, it just feels like it knows its role in the universe and fulfills it
I don’t think Giratina deserves to be in the evil section. I say this because back in Pokémon Platinum, it was the one who stopped Cyrus from destroying the world by dragging him into the Distortion World. Plus, when you look at Pokémon Generations: A New World, Giratina is literally shown breaking the Red Chains holding Dialga and Palkia hostage. If Giratina was truly evil, wouldn’t it have wanted Cyrus to destroy the world and for Dialga and Palkia to suffer? Wouldn’t it have left the scene after coming out of the shadows to cause mayhem on the Pokémon world? It didn’t. It just kept Cyrus as a hostage and kept an eye on him. Looking back at Legends: Arceus, Giratina did want to get revenge on Arceus and bring chaos. The game takes place really far in the past and Giratina definitely still held a grudge against Arceus. But Pokémon Platinum took place in a more recent time, and it showed that Giratina has learned from its mistakes and became a hero that people refuse to acknowledge. Some will point out its Pokédex entry saying that “it was banished for its violence”. As far as I know, there is no additional information as to why Giratina was violent in the first place. However, I do like to theorize that it was angry that it was created with unstable destructive powers, and that it couldn’t assist in the creation of the Pokémon world without posing as a huge threat to its existence. It’s possible that Arceus simply moved Giratina to the Distortion World so that it could take the time to calm down and learn to control its powers. By the time we get to the events of Pokémon Platinum, it has proven itself to have grown into a wiser being, saving Dialga and Palkia from Cyrus’ control, and being able to freely wander the Pokémon world without its powers being a threat. It’s a very misunderstood legendary, and people tend to ignore the fact that it ultimately saved the universe from complete destruction. The world was saved by the one who was cast out of it. This is just beautiful.
It canonically murdered people a lot and that's why it was banished. He may not have understood Cyrus's goals and just wanted to kill someone else. And, maybe he's still kind towards Dialga and Palkia as they're basically his brothers. Maybe he didn't exit the Distortion World because Arceus wouldn't let him. He is basically Pokemon's stand in for Satan.
@@jacobs5546 if Legends Arceus didn't happen, I'd agree with you. However, after beating Giratina in PLA its mentioned that Giratina chose to protect the Sinnoh region because of how strong the trainer is.
They usually slumber like the Regi but once they wake up they try to do their job, expanding the land and the sea. Unfortunately, they keep interrupting each other which leads to devastating clashes. Not only the Earth doesn't need to be expanded more but these two are also fighting.
I also heard in the Pokédex entry’s that Groudon saves people from drowning and Kyogre saves people from drying out so I think they should be true neutrals
It's stated that Darkrai has banished itself to avoid causing damage. It also really cares for Cresselia. Seeking it out to help stop itself from causing harm. It's like an adolescent that doesn't know what to do with itself because it has powers that it can't control without help.
@@eljordinio7647 it's not darkrai at fault though. people are actively seeking it out. not it's fault that it can't hide from anyone because people keep playing hide and seek with it. it needs to actively seek the help of crescelia because of it
@@ionized_salmon6417 if it wants to defend itself so badly it should do what any other Pokemon would do. Use a move, not inflict what it's despised for
@@eljordinio7647 you kinda missed the point, it can't control it's power, it would be like if you just started being radioactive like A nuclear bomb one day when you woke up, and then find out you have already killed everything in a 10 kilometer radius, that does not make you evil cause you don't have any control over it.
I'm not gonna deny that Giratina is a violent creature, and that it was quite antagonistic in LA But are we gonna ignore it's lore in gen 4? Ya know.... Saving it's siblings from Team Galactic and the whole story of the man with the sword.... Giratina definitely redeem it's self and deserve a spot on the more benevolent side because it serves as a protector from the shadows.
did ya see how gently it carried that shaymin. It was so gentle. If giratina grabbed it with all his strength the shaymin would have been dead. Plus he kidnapped cyrus and then... just made him live in the distortion world... didnt even try to kill him.
Latios and Latias should have been high up in the list. In the movie about them, latios sacrificed itself and died to save humans and latias fought too
Adding that even was implied that other herds of Latias and Latios came to Altomare, showing that this legendary pokemon are guardians and protectors in general.
I agree they should have been number 4 or something. I mean come on one of them sacrificed themselves to save others they should at least be a runner up
I would argue darkrai is actually good Even though its a pitch black pokemon and causes nightmares, it seeks out Cresselia to help its victims, also it does play the protagonist role in rise of darkrai. Not to mention, it never intends to hurt others unless its defending itself. Darkrai is more of a Pokémon that’s cursed than truly cruel, many see it as bad since it’s just causing nightmares, but I see it as more misunderstood than truly cruel Though I agree it does have an evil role in Mystery dungeon, you can argue it isn't 100% canon as it’s more of an alternate universe than darkrais true form
@@bigpoggers6507 do people leave it alone or vice versa? No. It's the one who goes near people and causes nightmares. That excuse doesn't work with just any Pokemon
The thing about Kyurem is that unlike Ultra Necrozma, Kyurem is not in its complete form. The two Dragons Zekrom and Reshiram were one being. But Kyurem having conflicting opinions of Truth and Ideas caused it to separate into the the two Dragons, Reshiram and Zekrom leaving Kyurem a husk of its former self. Which the two brothers used as tools of war against one another and their followers. I hope one day we can get Kyurem's true from unlocked.
I'm pretty sure that as it is, Kyurem is more an undead husk, than just a husk of it's former self (it's referred to in the decision as a husk, which in most cases, the husk of a living being is kind of a living corpse)
Yeah Kyurem is just a sentient corpse. Pretty sad. Also he’s not inherently evil. He’s more a chaotic neutral. In the Kyurem movie he’s shown to have morals, mercy and better judgement. Also he prefers isolation and solitude
@@bootstop5817 that's cool. I haven't seen the movie, but now I want to watch it from what you told me about him. Gen 5 are my favorite legendary Dragons
Actually, Darkrai and Creselia care for one another. Darkrai makes mistakes and is naturally just a good hearted pokemon who's very cautious of the world- Rise of Darkrai, it's pokedex entries, and the two parter in Journeys regarding Cresselia and Darkrai confirm this.
In the BDSP event where you catch Darkrai the "narrator" (who i assume was that old man that let us in in the first place) explained that Darkrai doesn't do evil and acctually did same thing as Lugia. Left. It lives in a lonely island to protect everyone from having nightmares or at least less of them.
One thing you did leave out during the Giratina segment; it cares about it's home the Distortion Realm. In the movie Giratina and the Sky Warriors, Giratina is shown to be very protective towards his realm. Due to the events of the Darkrai movie, where Dialga and Palkia we're battling each other, and nearly brought forth the end of existence, it actually began to affect the Distortion Realm. This angered Giratina so badly, that it vowed to get revenge on both Dialga and Palkia. Giratina planned on doing this by imprisoning the two gods in the Distortion Realm. Since time and space don't exist in the Distortion Realm, and Giratina is at it's strongest in said realm, it's only fitting that both Dialga and Palkia would be at a disadvantage. And in the Arceus movie, Giratina hadn't forgiven them, and attacked them. Luckily, due to Ash and Co being there when the Creation Trio we're battling, Giratina eventually calmed down and stopped fighting it's brethren. Hell, when an angry Arceus descended and seeked the destruction of Earth, Giratina teamed up with Dialga and Palkia to quell their creator, despite them being at a disadvantage.
I always wished we seen Giratina try attacking Palkia as well. Also, I always found it funny how Dialga was so passive during that fight and wasn’t trying to fight Giratina so it just trapped him in a temporary time loop and dipped
I'll be honest, the pokemon anime always makes all pokemon good guys or misunderstood monsters, so I consider it childish asinine these days. So I'm glad he went with game data that actually puts pokemon on a actual good and evil spectrum.
Ah yes “Necrozma steals light so it is evil” Instead of “Necrozma is attempting to take its light BACK” Lets not forget who had that light in the first place
Also throughout the whole game they talk about how it had light and gave it away charitably but they got greedy and stole the light causing it endless pain and that the ultra recon squad wanted to right their wrongs and save it. Based on all the lore if anything Necrozma was benevolent before we ruined its life after which point we caused it to basically always be starving for its energy source and in constant agonizing pain so it goes after any and all light to fruitlessly replace the light that was stolen from it. I imagine it would be like having your lungs stolen and no matter how much you inhale you can't actually get oxygen.
@@calebmarshall1538 that still put Alola in danger and it needed to be restrained. Evil or not, it's now a threat that needs to be stopped by any necessary means
I think the one pokemon I don't agree with here is Giratina. I believe that after the events of Arceus, it realised that vengeance did nothing but harm those with no connection to it. It realised what happens if you try to erase, change, or merge worlds, which is why in platinum it drags Cyrus into the distortion realm, and why in the Anime it frees Palkia and Dialga. It knows those two are needed for balance, it knows Cyrus is making the same mistake it made all those years ago, and that's also why I believe it didn't kill Cyrus. It knew Cyrus was making a mistake, the same mistake it made, so it probably knew it had no authority to kill Cyrus for that reason, hence letting him instead live in the distortion realm instead so he could cause no harm to anyone else. Much like how it's now self exiled itself to the distortion realm.
@@SPYROSTSABOURIS it also stole light from other worlds and attacks anyone and anything in its path. It had to be imprisoned. Only evil Pokemon deserve such a fate
@@eljordinio7647 That doesn't make it evil. It did that to stop the pain. Even in the anime it was the one that GAVE light to different worlds. It only attacked Lunala and Solgaleo to regain its lost light after protecting the ultra space it lived in from a terrible fate.
I personally would have put Celebi a little higher on the good side. It’s used it’s time travel abilities to actively make the world a better place on multiple occasions, and was even willing to give up its very existence to save the world
For some reason they chose to neglect the fact new literature helped save the world from being eaten by the sun in PSMD so in my heart I think it’s at least 3rd
Why does everyone assume that Giratina is evil? Sure he was in Legends Arceus. But learned his lesson, as seen In Diamond and Pearl. he actually helped defeat the bad guy and save the world. Redemption arc.
Kyogre and Groudon aren't evil, they're just forces of nature. They can't help who they are. They were created to form the land and the oceans. After that they really served no purpose and were sealed away.
I'd like to argue Darkrai is possibly neutral depending on its role. In the movie, it literally almost sacrifices itself to prevent Dialga and Palkia from destroying the fabric of the universe.
I would put the Swords of Justice MUCH higher. It only seemed like they were so low because they attack humans. BUT they only do it to help weak Pokemon that are being hurt by people. Human interaction shouldn’t have an effect of how good or bad a Pokémon is.
But then by that logic no pokemon would be bad and all would be good or neutral except Eternatus Every pokemon being misunderstood if it even exhibits any deviant behavior just makes it less impact full in any way
just a note. Suicune, Entei and Raikou are based on Leopards, Lions and Saber-toothed Tigers respectively, so not dogs. They are infact known as the Legendary Beasts.
@@tanandalynch9441 You mistook Raijin for Raijuu-Raijin is represented here as Thundurus (with its counterpart representing Fuujin) whereas Raijuu is a thunder beast.
I would have put Eternatus higher in evil at least to bronze (Especially given how it nearly ended the world... twice) but the ones higher but are pretty evil. (And Kyurem is literally pretty heartless.) Also, Giratina doesn't use the Distortion World to create the space-time distortions but angers Dialga and Palkia to mess with space and time. While I initially thought he should be gold in evil, he does eventually become good and stops Cyrus and helps the planet in Platinum. He's one of the few Pokemon in the series to have character development next to Calyrex. So Giratina is maybe on two points on the list?
I think Eternatus is misunderstood, in the first time the Darkest Day happened, it was unable to release energy smoothly while in the meteor for so long, so when it woke up all that energy exploded out, causing space and time to distort and pokemon to Dynamax, but it never actually attacked everything, and the second time, the same thing happened just the energy it had released before what now being given back to it AND it couldn't release energy, so the same thing happened when it came out again. Also the reason why the anime annoyed me so much, it didn't deserve to be sealed up, and they are also just basically asking for another Darkest Day to happen again, as it is now stuck deep underground just like before when it was in the meteor. I actually have some proof for this as Eternamax Eternatus's pokedex entry says that its Eternamax form is an overloaded form caused by Ross's meddling. Although I do agree that Giratina should be more on the neutral side, maybe evil in the past, but good in the currant time.
raquazza is dead ass just a very smart pokémon, he’s neutral, he doesn’t hate or like anyone but helps people and pokémon for the greater good of humanity and the safety for the world
Even though its a pitch black pokemon and causes nightmares, it seeks out Cresselia to help its victims, also it does play the protagonist role in rise of darkrai. Not to mention, it never intends to hurt others unless its defending itself.
I honestly agree with these choices for the most part, but darkrai, kyurem, jirachi, and even necrozma were all ranked way too low. First of all, while darkrai and necrozma are both very dangerous and intimidating, it was how they were made. Necrozma lost their light which kinda forced them to be evil, and darkrai literally can’t control his power over nightmares at all and is a great friend to crescillia. And for kyurem and jirachi, I definitely think they should’ve been placed in the good section or at least very early grey section because while they don’t really do too many good deeds, they don’t really do any bad ones either. Jirachi just sleeps for a really long time, and kyurem is pretty much neutral aside from the exception of a few movies and anime episodes. I’m not trying to attack you and this was one of your best lists yet, but I just feel like some of these pokemon were placed kind of inaccurately.
@@20ZZ20 Kyurem is much scarier than a lion. Lions usually stay in their own habitat and people get hurt when they get in the lions territory or when lions are pushed into human places by habitat destruction and drought conditions. @LiamTheWise , the Tapus are not ultra beasts, they are the island guardians who actively fought against the ultra beast invasion that happened long before the events of Sun and Moon, and are implied to join the fight once more when the Ultra Beasts return during the events of both the original sun and moon, and the Ultra versions

Zerorora and mew are mythicals because they are only given out in events.
Honestly I disagree with this for many reasons. Necrozma is the way he is because he lost his light, he’d probably be more on the good if he never lost it. Giratina did help Volo destroy the world, but in Platinum he stops Cyrus from doing the same Overall I feel Deoxys is the most evil because he literally tried to destroy Hoenn on PURPOSE
Deoxys never tried to destroy Hoenn on purpose. In the games it was just hitching a ride on the meteor. In the 7th Pokémon movie Destiny Deoxys it was trying to find it’s friend and was only kidnapping Pokémon and people so that it could find it’s friend easier and none of the characters were harmed by it. Deoxys is purely neutral.
@@princesspikachu3915 Yeah if u go to a scientist back at the space area, they say that Deoxys was not intending to harm anything, and was actually seeking out Hoenn for something. A good portion of the pokemon seem to become hostile or "evil" due to human influence, not so sure if they should be considered evil when defending themselves :/
I agree with Arceus being #1 on the Pure Good scale, but I don’t think Darkrai deserves its spot on the evil scale. Darkrai might give nightmares, but it has been shown that it can’t actually stop that from happening. The anime has also shown that Darkrai and Cresselia are friends, with Cresselia visiting Darkrai on its island so it won’t be lonely. True, Darkrai is an antagonist in Mystery Dungeon, but I’m not even sure Mystery Dungeon is canon. Even if it was can we hold that all versions of Darkrai accountable for that one’s actions?
@@Shediprism I know that journeys is canon, I was saying it is unclear if the Mystery Dungeons series can be considered "canon", since the only reason Darkrai seems to be ranked so far into the Evil side is because there happened to be one evil Darkrai in that series, even though Darkrai has been shown as heroic everywhere else.
I don’t think Arceus deserves to be #1 good. There was an entire movie where it tried to destroy humanity and even Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina for “siding with the humans”. Arceus should be considered lowered on the list simply for wanting all of humanity dead over something that wasn’t even what it seemed. It thought it had been betrayed but it wasn’t. It’s human friend was being controlled by a Pokémon using hypnosis and “god” couldn’t figure that out and wanted to punish every single human for one evil human’s actions. Truly Arceus deserves to be on the evil list but I haven’t played Legends Arceus (don’t plan to either) so I can’t say for how it is there. But in the movie it’s actions are really evil if you think about it.
With Scarlet and Violet coming out next month, I wonder how and what the Legendary and Mythical Pokémons will be like. So far, we know that Koraidon and Miraidon help the players with transportation.

Arceus and all of the creation trio are probably fairly close or at complete neutral. Sure some of their powers can be misused and Giratina has some evil tendencies, but ultimately they all keep a balance. Arceus is by no means a benevolent deity but is too powerful for anyone else to control. Palkia and Dialga can be controlled but are otherwise leaning in the direction of good. Giratina is definitely leaning towards evil but is also the one that prevents anyone from using Palkia or Dialga.
I think all legendary Pokémon are basically neutral because they were made to fill a natural role but if any are considered “evil” I would say mewtwo fits that bill
I always wondered why Marshadow went so insane after it got the rainbow wing in its hands. And the corrupted rainbow wing affecting Marshadow and making it act more violent due to being Ho-Oh‘s servant who’s duty is to ultimately avoid such things from happening makes actually a lot of sense.

I don’t think Giratina is evil, I think it is a merciless force of nature that exists as it is in all its cataclysmic glory. Independent of motives related to good and evil.
Giratina is a vengeful Pokemon like shown in the movies and show. It's not evil, it's not entirely good more like an anti hero. Giratina has shown some heroic attributes too. He just wants to be left alone.
Rayquaza and Giratina are kindred spirits; they represent a fundamental force of nature, they’re the strongest of their trio, and they really only care when someone messes with their house. If that’s the case then why is Rayquaza neutral to good while Giratina’s evil? In Platinum, Jewel of Life, and Sky Warrior, it can be argued that it only acted neutrally to benevolently. The only reason it attacked Shaymin was for it’s ability to get it out of the time loop that Dialga put it in. It’s not territorial about people in the distortion world unlike the very territorial Rayquaza. After it’s all said and done Giratina enjoyed interacting with other Pokémon and showed a level of respect towards the humans and Shaymin unlike Rayquaza that just goes home to take a nap. It started out evil but it certainly mellowed out during its time out.
Rayquaza is a guardian in most games. Even the anime. Hoopa almost destroyed the world until Ray came. Rayquaza Lugia y latios took on almost the entire list of bad Pokémon. It was giratina groudon, kyorge, hoopa, Kyurem, Palkia, and Dialga. To be fair, good hoopa also helped. So good hoopa vs bad hoopa
Where are Phione and the Lake Trio (Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie)? I know footage of the former was featured in this video. But only for its relative of sorts, Manaphy. Mew was actually intended to be a minor antagonist in the first pokemon movie, he was a trouble maker who taunted Mewtwo because he viewed the artificial pokemon as abominations. Mew should be atleast one spot up from mewtwo.
I think Darkrais placement is extremely unfair, it is always stated to mean good and feel sorrow as it cannot control its powers. Mystery dungeon is not canon.
Just my opinion, but I feel the Dialga and Palkia one are a little unfair. If they are good, I wonder why they end up in neutral? Yes, they meant cheetah and leopard. Actually Suicune is based on a leopard and Fujin, the Shinto God of the North Wind, who wore leopard skin. Suicune also represents the North Wind, making its basis on Fujin clearer to see.
@@tanandalynch9441 Actually Raikou is based on the Raiju, not the Raijin, and the Raiju can take the form of a tiger, among other animals. Raikou's creator has said that it has a "tiger-like design" and it also has elements of the sabertooth tiger, like the long upper fangs it has.
Honestly i believe kyurem could be knocked down a bit from being the 3rd most evil Pokémon. In its lore, kyurem, zekrom and reshiram where all one original dragon which where split due to its twin trainers wanting to lead a kingdom with truths or ideals. Kyurem is the left over remains of that original dragon and has become empty inside due to it eternally being incomplete until the day it puts its trust into one trainer who believes in both truths and ideals. While I can’t lie and say his actions of eating people and Pokémon shouldn’t be excused, I do think he has at least some things which hinder him as less of a ruthless beast.
I would say that victini is more true neutral, in the same way that a gun can be used to hurt or protect, boundless energy is not good or bad and depending who it bestows that energy upon they could use it for good or evil.
I’d have to put Rayquaza above the horse Pokemon. Saves the world by quelling Groudon and Kayogre when they fight is a little more impressive than saving just a forest.
38:35 kyurem was being controlled by a machine to unwillingly obey ghetsis though. Kyurem’s not evil at all, the point was to literally save it from ghetsis
This seems more like how destructive they are rather than good or evil since some of the Pokemon in the bad category like Giratina, Eternatus, and Groudon and Kyogre are more neutral than evil
Considering Giratina is based off of Lucifer, I wouldn't call it "evil", more like Chaos-aligned, especially when you consider that after Legends Arceus, Giratina became a protector of its domain as well as the living world, since it stopped Cyrus' plans to restart the world. Obviously it still bares a grudge against Arceus, but it's accepted its role and isn't openly hostile to trainers from what we're shown.
@@j.a.hernandez9742 It depends on what your definition of evil is, there's a difference between, say, Chaos aligned and just evil, but that's WAAAAY too big of a topic for just a comment Also Lucifer and Satan aren't the same character

Giratina isn't really based off Lucifer outside of banishment. It doesn't actively convince others to do evil etc, and it returns to do good numerous times. This is kinda an overdone comparison
I think that your definition of good and evil in this list is a little skewed. Several times the capability of a being outweighs the actual actions the being commits in this list. This doesn’t seem fair. A good being is a being that goes out of its way to do good, likewise an evil being the opposite.

Me too, I honestly don't think gods or deities understand the human concept of good and bad
But it was banned for a reason…..
Giratina did that to save its own world.
@@liamtherobot9656yeah, but people (or pokemon) change and in the case of giratina, for the better.

They usually slumber like the Regi but once they wake up they try to do their job, expanding the land and the sea. Unfortunately, they keep interrupting each other which leads to devastating clashes. Not only the Earth doesn't need to be expanded more but these two are also fighting.

Y E S darkrai actually leaved society just for the good sake of the people and pokemon and thats why its dialoge is just ... because he is just alone
Not only that but Darkrai actively seeks out Cresselia and tries to stay near her to prevent its nightmares from killing more people
Anime and movies don’t count. The entries, on the other hand, are definitely something to consider.
Maybe, but it still has a terrible reputation which is its own fault
I’m interested to know your point though. What does this all lead you to believe as far as Giratina being good or evil?
I always wished we seen Giratina try attacking Palkia as well. Also, I always found it funny how Dialga was so passive during that fight and wasn’t trying to fight Giratina so it just trapped him in a temporary time loop and dipped

It's unable to control it's powers and basically any wrong doing caused by it was entirely accidental,Darkrai is afraid of it's own powers and will basically never be seen unless it's threatened or corrupted somehow
That’s chaotic neutral.
@@ohmaneli8106 that is in fact not, the law its going off is its "vow of solitude" so to speak, and its good because it suffers alone to protect those it cant help but hurt. you can argue that lawful might be neutral, but it is nothing if not good
It’s somewhat similar to Mimikyu if you think about it. Mimikyu’s “real” form is going to kill anyone just by looking at it, and it can’t help it (unless it covers itself) but even then, if the secret is spilled out of the bag and someone sees it, wellll…

Can someone explain to me how Xerneas, a pokemon giver of live, who, before hibernating decides to give all its live force to those around itself so low on the list?
"Giver of life" includes granting people immortality. And it will do that worldwide if it wasn't for Yveltal. It may not have ill intent but watch the anime "Sunday without god" to see how giving immortality to everyone in the world without consent is bad.
@@revolvingworld2676 nothing with long term negative consequences ever happens in that show though?
Because it gives immortality. Without Yveltal, nobody would die. Xerneas made everything immortal however Arceus created Yveltal to counter this.
Other Pokémon on this list just do better things in it
@@tanandalynch9441 Yin and yang done better than the Pokémon who represent truth and ideals. Without death, life ceases to have meaning and without life, death is a meaningless concept.
Kind of sadge that Darkrai wasn't at least neutral, and also that neither Poképark was mentioned 😔
First of all, darkrai needs justice
Second,Giratina Is actually A Chill dude
Forget it. Darkrai's hated because of its inexcusable nightmares and Giratina was banished for a reason. It's literally based on the devil

I love that you put a water energy card behind Lugia.
Idkk Darkrai isn’t that evil (at least in my eyes) as they’re known to only induce nightmares to protect themself.
Also Yvetal is the literal embodiment of death it’s not their fault people don’t like the idea of dying~
Giratina has also performed some good deeds like stopping Cyrus.
One more thing- where are the Guardian Dieties??
I agree. Especially with darkrai. The dex literally says it means no harm, yet some people in the general public don’t look deep in the lore of pokemon and say that Darkrai is evil and other stuff that is not related to the canon portions in the game and anime. It was to the point where I had to use the Litwik line because Litwik actually lure people to steal their life force. Smh i guess 🫡
@@kat_plays7999 yeah so what? No Pokemon that causes any kind of harm is even slightly good, especially with a bad reputation that causes it to be hated. It still causes harm regardless of intentions

@@sonofcronos7831
Yes, but some Pokémon actually are malicious. Although there are some in here that, while they seem dark, are just trying to eat or something along those lines, like Gengar.
I can't help but to say this, the anime of Darkrai in Journey, Darkrai seems to just uncontrollably cause nightmares on mass within its presence and is often blamed by the victims of the nightmares while also caring about his counterpart Cresselia when Team Rocket tried to capture it. Just putting my thoughts out.
Nightmares, regardless of circumstances, are inexcusable. Controlling its powers is something it needs to learn to do whether it likes it or not
@@eljordinio7647 While it is capable of inflicting nightmares directly, you can’t really control nightmares at will, it just happens and when around Darkrai it seems more frequent. Plus Darkrai isn’t the only one that has a side trait to it. When Yveltal’s life ends, it ends up taking everyone and thing down with it in who knows how far.
@@TempestGhost neither circumstance is excusable. Darkrai should learn to control its nightmarish abilities whether it wants to or not and when Yveltal's life ends, it should just die and be gone. It's already a living evil bird of death so it dying wouldn't be a bad thing
@@eljordinio7647 You’re missing the point. Yveltal is part of the natural order of life and death. Without death, people and pokemon would have to deal with living forever and that’s not as good as it sounds along with just the mass overpopulation. Besides in Darkrai’s case, that’s why there Cressilia. Many of these big role pokemon always has a counterpart which keeps things working like how they should, you can’t have one without the other.
@@TempestGhost their counterpart is also there to keep the bad one from running amok and destroying the place or causing further harm. Counterparts or not there are some Pokemon in the world who are just naturally evil because of what they do or represent, with Yveltal being no exception. About Mew, in the first movie, in Japan, quote "Mew declares that all unnatural life (ie, clones) are inferior to the originals, and thus should perish."
But, you also forgot to mention Mirage Mew in The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon, where this "imitation" Mew sacrifices itself to save lives.
Or when Mew attacked Ash and the gang in Pokemon Journeys. It almost killed them with a Hyper Beam.
You could consider landorus to be a bit evil in competitive lol
Wow there are so many Legendary & Mythical Pokemon these days & you missed some of them. Tapu Bulu is the most evil of the Tapus you skipped for its role in cursing the Abandoned Megamart. Giratina is more Neutral in that it is tasked with the lonely job of providing balance to the world by guarding the Distortion World & has been shown to have a sense of justice even if it is known for being brutal.
Tapu Bulu only did what it did because it was pissed that humans built that thing on sacred land. That very act was what caused shades of the forbidden to manifest in a form that would kill you if you look directly at them. Those shades are the species known as Mimikyu.
All-mighty phione was also missing.
Pokemon that deserve a higher ranking: Giratina. It honestly gets a bad rep, becoming the world's guardian by the events of Platinum.
I agree that it belongs a bit higher, but not too much. Also…
Pokémon that deserve a lower ranking:
Mewtwo. If you remove all the non-canon stuff (anime, movies, manga, etc.) everything left is “Top 10 of Evil” material.
@@Joseph_Drew_III The anime is canon, and considering that over 90% of Legendary Pokemon otherwise amount to "Here's a really cool, powerful, hard to catch, one-of-a-kind creature you can catch" in regards to the story in the games and they rarely appear in the anime proper... Movies have to be considered.
@@BenMan8881 Except neither of those is actually true. If the anime was canon, Ash would’ve popped up in the core rpgs by now. And Pokédex descriptions give us PLENTY.

Koraidon and Miraidon are probably neutral, from the games we learn that some can be friendly and some can be ruthless. As for the ruinous pokemon those are definitely on the evil side cause they’re literally created out of negative emotions
Yeah they're about as neutral as a cyclizar which is as neutral as probably any other pokémon
they murdered the professors. causing them to neglect their child. and be replaced by an ai.
Just wanted to know, where do the tapus rank on this list?
My god this video makes me wanna catch up on all the games and Movies I have missed which I think is 95% of it by this point...
This video was well written and the narrator was really nice to listen to.. 👍
They’re really not evil at all, they’re just doing they’re jobs. Legendary Pokémon are essentially forces of nature given physical form.
I think all of them would lie somewhere in the Good. Phione for being similar to Manaphy, who’s also good, and the Lake Trio for their duties in Emotion, Courage, and Knowledge.
Mew was actually intended to be a minor antagonist in the first pokemon movie, he was a trouble maker who taunted Mewtwo because he viewed the artificial pokemon as abominations. Mew should be atleast one spot up from mewtwo.
*DO NOT CALL MEW A F*CKING HE! MEW IS GENDERLESS!*
Such an amazing video!
Grew up watching pokemon it feels good to see people still talking about pokemon ❤😂
They only really do bad when they are caught by a villain, and forced to, and outside of that, they help the trainer in LA to try to save the other, and stays with the trainer after. Again just my opinion, but I think they deserve to be in good
To add to the cases for good, without them existing we would not have any degrees of freedom through which to move around.
In Mystery Dungeon Dialga is an Antagonist
@@JamesDavy2009 that is also another good point
@@MorrisPXG true, but that’s only because of what happened to Temporal Tower. When Temporal Tower got destroyed, it seems to affect Dialga, and it loses control over itself. It basically gets corrupted

i never understood why entei raikou and suicune is called the legendary dogs, i think suicune is based on a cheta/lepard, entei on a lion and raikou on a sabertooth cat.
That's why their official trio name is the Legendary Beasts...because they are not canines and they DO in fact have more in common with felines instead...Raikou is mostly based on a sabertooth cat, Entei is mostly based on one of those Chinese guardian lions, and Suicune is mostly based on a leopard.
What is Suicune based on? I don’t understand what you are trying to spell as none of those are actual words… Do you mean cheetah or leopard? I’m confused when I see words that don’t actually exist.
Yes, they meant cheetah and leopard. Actually Suicune is based on a leopard and Fujin, the Shinto God of the North Wind, who wore leopard skin. Suicune also represents the North Wind, making its basis on Fujin clearer to see.
They resemble dogs more than the feline creatures and Raikou is based on a Raijin, a creature often also called the Thunder Dog
@@tanandalynch9441
Actually Raikou is based on the Raiju, not the Raijin, and the Raiju can take the form of a tiger, among other animals.
The Tao Trio originally represented yin (Zekrom), yang (Reshiram) and wuji (Kyurem).
Wowwwww your part about Zygarde made me so sad about the lack of a pokemon Z again😭
An very interesting video to understand the Pokemon world more better than before
I would say that victini is more true neutral, in the same way that a gun can be used to hurt or protect, boundless energy is not good or bad and depending who it bestows that energy upon they could use it for good or evil.
Giratina isn’t evil, he’s just misunderstood😔
I’d have to put Rayquaza above the horse Pokemon. Saves the world by quelling Groudon and Kayogre when they fight is a little more impressive than saving just a forest.

38:35 kyurem was being controlled by a machine to unwillingly obey ghetsis though. Kyurem’s not evil at all, the point was to literally save it from ghetsis
Kyurem once fused does not act on any hate but rather truth and ideals
You forgot to mention the Lake Guardians, the Guardian Deities, and Meltan.
Ngl that was a pretty good Patrick impression"And push it somewhere else"
You do realize, that you basically just said Lucifer/Satan isn't evil, how tf....
@@j.a.hernandez9742 It depends on what your definition of evil is, there's a difference between, say, Chaos aligned and just evil, but that's WAAAAY too big of a topic for just a comment
Also Lucifer and Satan aren't the same character
@@HerotonAlmighty2011 Lucifer and "The Devil" both derive from Satan, who is by definition the personification of evil. The word "evil" is directly taken from "Devil".
@@j.a.hernandez9742 ... satan literally punishes sinners. he double hockey sticks tortures the evil ones. the ruler of it is obviously good because they punish the evil.
