They have always been a great live playing band. I would also dare to say their live 1979 world wide tour was one of their best, and certainly loudest live tours ever!!!!!! 👍🎸
I really don't understand why they dropped it from their set. The only time I ever saw them do this live was on the tour for the '97 album that the song is on. It went over great too. They'll still do "The Flame", but not this one? I don't get it.
@WEINBAUER +1 to that. I have met them all many times (Bun E. Carlos in the grocery store a few weeks ago in fact) and always fun, funny, and happy to chat
Forget about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. It's a joke. Nothing against Buffalo Springfield, I think they were great. But, they were only together for two years and recorded 3 albums. They are inductees. Trick is one of the best rock bands in the history of contemporary music. It's ridiculous.
Why wasn't this a hit in UK? Because for some reason Cheap Trick were never that popular. Why? Alot of the music writers, singers and those who stream would have an attack of the vapours if they heard a guitar riff!
+Will O This show lasted a few months on VH-1 in 1997. INXS was on the same show so it had to be in 1997. Michael Hutchence committed suicide that year.
This should have been a hit everywhere. Love it.
Best Cheap Trick song from the best Cheap Trick album!
The whole album would have been a mega hit in the 70s or early 80s.
Best voice and best band ever. Plus he's hot.
How was this not a bigger hit? Oh right, Dead Ant. Great song, just tremendous! Totally under-appreciated.
Love this!!!
What a voice!!!! What a band!!!! 🙌🔥🖤🤍
Revisiting this amazing gem of a song. Love everything about the crafting of the tune. Should have been a hit for sure.
God damn, in his 60's and still the best singer ever. Saw them in Tacoma last year and he still sounds incredible. My only man crush ever
If this is from 2009, then at age 56, Robin still has a great voice. Good song!
Sharon DeVault 1997
He’s nearly 70 now. Good as ever.
Perfectly crafted power pop magic from the masters of the genre
I really wish that they would start playing this one live again
I dont think they have ever played better live then this period! This is amazing!!
They have always been a great live playing band. I would also dare to say their live 1979 world wide tour was one of their best, and certainly loudest live tours ever!!!!!! 👍🎸
Such a great song ‼️👏😉
I've never heard them do this gem live!!! Really nice!!!! These guys just keep getting better and better with age!!!

Best living American band (sorry Aerosmith).

Matthew Gillenberg I was there & saw them inducted into the Hall. Bun E on the drums, even. Well worth the $5K for travel & tix to attend.
@@WatchingMyLifeFlashBand also all the band members gave great articulate speeches too!!!!!!! 👍🎸
The Guess Who and BTO are two bands worthy of the Hall of Fame, but Zzsmile summed it up well I feel.

The 2009 songs blow this album away.
Anyone know what brand of guitar Robin Zander is playing in this clip?
I believe in an later interview with Premier Guitar's Shawn Hammond Robin said it was a Chet Atkins SST with an added 7 string on it. 👍
completely agree....that's what this 51 yr. old rocker says!!!
So does this 65'er.
Best song the Beatles never wrote.
20 years to late.

What year was this?
