@@jason200912 yeah definitely. I had a mini 14 from 2014, wasn't ejecting shells getting stuck. They replaced the barrel and bolt and I had it back in less than 3 weeks no cost. And they were friendly. I eventually sold it, but it was awesome
I've got a 600AT model, a promotional branded Mossberg 500 sold back in the day out of the Montgomery Ward catalog, back when any free American could just buy a gun from a magazine ad.
I had a Glock 19, a CMMG AR15, so I needed a shotgun to round out my collection. All I knew about Mosberg was they were reliable and affordable. One criteria I had was, I wanted an extended magazine tube. I didn't care if it was pump or or semi auto. I wasn't really shopping for a shotgun when I saw this 24" barrelled black beauty hanging on the wall at my local shop. It had a fiber optic front sight on a vented rib, a tube as long as the barrel, and no pistol grip. It had a yellow tag on it indicating that it was used. It looked brand new. Turned out to be a 930 JM Pro for only $449. They let me test fire it before buying and it worked fine so I bought it. Next time I took it out shooting, it would fail to eject after about 5 rounds. I would clean the piston and then it worked for 5 more rounds then had the same issue. Then I noticed why the previous owner sold it on consignment with the gun shop. The barrel was canted slightly in relation to the receiver and this was misaligning the piston with the feed tube so any carbon at all was reducing the speed of the action. I took it back to the store and they sent it back to Mosberg. Turns out they had a run of these shotguns with this same issue. Even though I bought it used "as is", Mosberg covered shipping both ways and completely overhauled the gun and fixed the barrel to receiver alignment free of charge. Gun runs 200 rounds flawlessly between cleanings now with any cartridge including 7/8 oz cheap target loads. So basically I got a new shotgun at almost half price. Mosberg is awesome!
I built up a 590 for my son. It was given to me by my best friends family after he died in a car wreck. God Bless you DDD it's in great hands. To add I personally run a Stevens 520 that was my grandfather's customized off course.
Mossberg's customer service is awesome. I bought the MC1sc, in its early run, and when I got it to the range, discovered that it wouldn't go back into battery after firing. Contacted Mossberg, they paid for me to send it to them, fixed the bent trigger assembly that had, somehow slipped through QC, and sent it back to me, without charge. It's a damn good gun, made by a damn fine company. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the MC2c and my first shotgun, from Mossberg.
Good morning Matt. I am the proud and very satisfied owner of a 90’s production Mossberg 590SP. Ghost ring sights 20” barrel, 8+1 capacity. It was a pawnshop buy and looked very much as if it had been to the gun range once and was then relegated to the closet. There was no wear in any of the places that would have shown it were it a highly used weapon. Now approximately 2,500+ plus rounds later that Mossy continues to run like a sewing machine. NO HICCUPS! I am quite convinced of the durability and dependability of Mossbergs product exemplified by this 590SP. I’m giving serious consideration to purchasing a 940 Pro Tactical. I wish that Mossberg made these with a 20” barrel and 8+1 capacity. All the best to you Matt. Great story on the history of the pig stick. Be safe.
I've got my eye on the 590 Retrograde with bead sights for my first shotgun. It has a nice trench gun look to it with the heat shield and wood furniture.
I love my AR's but if I had to choose between one of them and one of my shoties I'd pick my Ithaca model 37 Featherlight every time. Way more versatile.
@@popinmo I mean it depends on what you plan on doing with it. A 12g can serve many purposes from pest control or bird hunting to taking down a bear, home defense, skeet shooting etc etc. Nothing more versatile than a good old 12g imo.
excellent video and story, just saved up and bought 590A1 Retro, kinda have buyers remorse when I look at standard 590A1 (cost), but still very happy. btw, did have to send my brand spanky new shotgun back to Mossberg for issue with Safety and happy to say they stand behind their products 100%. Keep doing what you do and pray for us Illinoisans until this God awful assault weapon ban is lifted.
Good morning Andrew. I’m responding to your text. I don’t think that awful “Assault Weapons” ban will be around long. There is already an injunction against it. I’m of the opinion that this was Governor Pritzker playing to his leftist base to grease the rails for a re election. Your 590 retrograde must be a real beauty. I’ve been the proud owner of a 90’s production 590SP for several years (20” barrel, ghost ring sights, 8+1 capacity). It has been a supremely reliable shotgun. I’ve made some upgrades such as replacing the polymer trigger assembly and safety selector with metal units available from Mossberg along with the addition of Wolff “extra power” magazine spring which resists crushing or taking a set much longer than the factory unit. Replaced the factory follower with a red polished aluminum unit from CMMG which functions more smoothly in the magazine tube and the bright red is a great indicator that it’s time for a reload. I enjoy this Mossy very much and she’s a trusted range companion. Incidentally Lucky Gunner has several good tutorial videos on 12 gauge pump shotguns as home defense weapons. All the best to you sir. Enjoy that “Mossy” they’re a good shotgun.
When people came west for the land/gold rush and opportunities available to the intrepid, the ones who couldn't get across the river named it,"ILLINOIS ." Missouri is fo those who escaped.
@@deltashot5608 Missouri doesn't have FOID.............St Louis is a shithole city that is in both illinois and missouri. Hence his comment about missouri not having FOID "just across the river"
After running my M590A1 weekly for 3+ years (yes, weekly), an issue developed with cartridge stop. The point where it contacts with the action slide was damaged (both metal pieces burred). Had to call Mossberg to order a brand new action slide and the cartridge stop. Great customer service.
In the Land of Nevada (said in my Forrest Gump voice), you walk in to a gun store, pick out what you want to buy, show them a photo I.D., fill out the paperwork, and wait while they call and do the instant background check. Once that's done, they hand you your new gun, and ask "Would you like ammunition to go with that?".
I just picked up a 590 with a 20" barrel, heatshield, and ghost ring sights. It's built like a tank and hearing how Mossberg took care of you makes me feel even better about my purchase. Pump shotguns are to Americans as katanas were to samurai.
Mossberg is certainly one of the good ones. I'd also like to plug walther as when I was removing a magazine release to deal with some rusting issues on a roll pin the magazine release shattered on me. They next dayed me all the replacement parts and insisted on not charging me a dime.
Unrelated, but I wanted to say I got my firearms ID and got my first gun, a Beretta 92FS because of you! Now I’m off to get a new trigger and grips, and a rail system to put my tacticool flashlight on, lol. But thanks!! Still have to find somewhere to shoot it, in the tri-state area :(.
I always find the Tri State thing funny here in the northern pen of WV we also call it Tri State. With Ohio WV and PA all coming together there. WV is only 11miles wide at I-70/470 Anyway enjoy your 92 def on my short list, if 9mm ever comes back to earth. I understand deckin out what ya have. Though if it functions you may move on to a shoyty and rifle then come back to doll it up. Just my own opinion.
@@matthewbeaver5026 yeah, my dad who passed away actually left behind a ton of Fiocchi 9mm FMJ’s. I am looking into getting a SBR, but it’s just so hard to figure out what to go with. I know a long barreled rifle wouldn’t fly with mg wife at the moment haha.
@@jrhymescrypto depending how much of that 9 ya have there's some nice pcc's on the market these days. Granted who knows for how long at this point. Prob hell there in NJ, good luck to ya.
@@matthewbeaver5026 I have about 500 of the Fiocchi’s. That’s the only problem- I just got my permit and I only got one handgun permit, so it needs to be out of that range which I’ll have to figure out till I get more handgun permits. But that’s why I was thinking a Sig MPX, chambered in 9mm. But I do also have 5.56 on hand that maybe I should try finding an SBR under $2000 in that caliber like a S&W MP15 in 5.56. Thanks for your help!
First gun was a 500a, got it on my 18th birthday. I unfortunately pawned it in 1991, damn 1st ex-wife. Just turned 55 and own 4 Mossys. One of them is a 590 tactical, (non-ghost sight model) couldn't find an a1. I really wanted the ghost sights so bought a 500 tactical; looks cool but I agree, it's a PITA. Makes me appreciate my 590 even more that I bought OG surplus Mossberg walnut furniture and an a1 trigger group for it. The other 2 are a New Haven 600CT (20Ga) and 930JMPro.
Funny thing about my 590 - It started out as factory, bought as "used" but it was unfired. I wanted a shorter barreled shotgun for home and property defense. Living in a rural area, and keeping chickens, there is no shortage of critters who want to dine upon them. One night, there was a skunk outside after my birds. I went outside in my drawers and flipflops with the 590 in one hand and a 3-D cell Maglite in the other. Maybe some guys can do it, but that just wasn't working for me. So, a little research and I find an Elzetta weapon light mount that attached to the barrel and mag tube. I put a little Streamlight Poly-tac light on it, and could now light up the backyard. Then I decided the stock was too long. Even though I'm a big guy, I like to pull that stock right up into my shoulder and work the slide without having to reach too far out. So, a Magpul stock. Then the matching Magpul fore end. Then, I figured, what if whatever is out there needs something with a little more oomph than #4 shot? So, a sidesaddle that gives me a choice of 3 #00 or 3 Brenneke slugs. I think I'm done modding this, but you never know what I might get suckered into buying for it. I have the ghost ring sight and a ramp sight on the front of mine. Haven't had any problems with the setup. Just for kicks, I even shot a round of sporting clays with it to see if I could. I was able to keep my score near what I get with my Beretta semi-auto. All my other guns are bead sight, though. Maybe the ghost ring doesn't bother me because I was shooting shotguns by looking down the barrel for quite a few years before I got this? After thinking about it, I could see where a new shooter who hasn't quite mastered the fundamentals of shotguns could be handicapped by the ghost ring. Hell, everyone is going to red dots, so they aren't even trying to learn the fundamentals, anymore.
I have many Mossbergs. I too disliked the ghost ring sites. Until I put Magpul furniture on em. Their stock allowed you to be lower and align without laying your head down. Plus they are adjustable. Just sayin. Also. I brainstormed with a local gun shop guy and figured out there is enough meat to the 590’s beefy barrel to thread the outside since it doesn’t have choke internal threading. The astute observation of this guy said Keltech’s shotgun barrels are externally threaded. Miked it out and sure enough. Got it threaded. Bought the Keltech adapter and put a Silencerco Salvo 12 on a 590M. We dubbed it Mr. Sluggo. Also threaded a Shockwave as they are 590’s as well. Can you say Anton Chigurh. With subsonic shells is totally awesome on either one. Also Double Star I think makes a really nice steel muzzle break which is about 2” long makes a great thread protector.
Your right about ghost ring sights. But the issue I have ran into with bead sights is when you go to shoot slugs they shoot way too high. To the point that you’d have aim so low you can’t see the bead anymore. Which is why I installed a red dot sight.
Did your 590 A1 ever lock up? Mine did twice. Click bang then the slide was locked up tight. Had to dismantle it to get the spent shell out. Now I don't feel it's dependable enough for defense.
@@CRSFirearms Wow, I never thought it could be an ammo problem, just assumed it was the gun. I have to do some testing with various loads, hi vs low brass, etc. Thanks for the info.
Things are looking up for my journey to the land of shotgun. I originally wanted to get the 590A1 Magpul edition. They could not find one so I picked the 590A1 SPX. It has finally processed, which means they have located the unit and get it to their shop in Arizona so that they can ship to my state. The bayonet lug is great but I am excited by the sling swivels. I have also bought a head of time a Magpul stop and alternate cheek pieces for this. Plenty of slug to practice at the range. Just got some upgame shot for when I can actually go hunting, whether turkey, dove, or other water fowl. It took a while but patience is a virtue. I have seen other reviews of this shot gun and I like the way that it handles and how it loads. You can slap one in the chamber, move the slide forward and fill the tube for a total of 8+1.
Funny: I have a Benelli M3 Super 90, and two Mossberg M590's: the M3 has the pistol grip stock. Both M590's have the speedfeed stocks, and one has bead sights, the other has ghost rings. I love 'em all, but the M590 fits my 6'3" frame MUCH nicer than the M3 does...it's a lot more comfortable.
A few years ago i entered a raffle to win a Ithaca Model 37 20" barrel synthetic stock shotgun for $5 for 5 tickets. I put my name on 3 and my daughters moms name of the other two. She was picket and won, but with her only being 100 pounds it was too much gun for her, so she traded me for my kel-tech sub 2k. Best 5 bucks I've ever spent in my life!!
Oh my gosh dude!!!!! This is the best!!!!! Hahahahahhaa damn best laugh I ever had since moving here in PA. And I learned a lot as well as much much much respect given for your journey.

Flechettes just tumble. They don't just fly like darts. It's basically like splinters of shrapnel. They don't really have any ballistic characteristics, they just blah in a forward direction.
Hands down Mossburg makes the best shotgun out there. Especially the 590, its a tank. I still can’t understand how people choose an 870 over a 590. I always tell people that are interested in a shotgun, Mossburg Mossburg Mossburg.
@@bajadan2769 I also have both. I have a 20ga and a 12ga 500, a 835, and a 870. I have put thousands of rounds through all them. I have never ever had a malfunction with a Mossberg. I have with the 870, double feed and it’s all jamb up because of the stupid lifter. That stupid ass lifter that grabs your glove or your finger. Well it traps rounds so you can’t clear a malfunction. Speaking of stupid 870 things, the pump release button is totally in the wrong place as well, I absolutely hate it.
Put a side saddle on it , sling ,& a good light. Ghost rings sights are more accurate than a bead sights for quick target aquasition, especially a tritium sight. Better yet try a green circle dot from Holosun. MOSSBERG 590A1 is an awesome shotgun.
I love Mossberg and your story is awesome brother, right now I have a 9200 turkey gun and maverick 88 defender 8 shot and will get more as I find deals on them. Love your channel btw...
Quick question if anyone can chime in, but GameStop used to take out any coupons or certain features out of video games to sell to customers so that customers don’t get special deals from game companies. My question is do gun stores do the same? An example would be like if you wanted a plastic case that comes with a S&W M&P full size, but then they switch it out with a cardboard case. Just curious. Also that includes ffl transfers from online stores.
Only the "range pack" M&P pistols come with a hard case, all the rest ship to the FFL in a cardboard box covered in trademark and sticker with serial number on it. You can't just easily swap boxes like that.
My first was a Mossberg 500 Roadblocker pistol grip. It was a stupid choice for my first gun but I didn't know any better. Anyway my 2nd shotgun was a police trade in M590A1 with a nice olive camo cerakot and an older model surefire flashlight forend. One of my absolute firearms I own. Replaced the stock with knoxx and added a heatshield but thats it really.
You have some storys brother lol. That SGA stock your using made my 590a1 complete for me personally. Im over 6ft tall and the stock butt stock was just to long and just did not feel that good.
The Mossberg 590 is still used (as far as I know) by the US Marine Corps. It was the only shotgun to pass the 3000 shell torture test. I’ve owned a Mossberg 590 for over 25 years. Its my go to for home defense. And I do have a bayonet for it. The M9 is made right in my home town. I put a Blackhawk stock on it. I have a heatshield on it, of course ghost ring sights. And its loaded up with buck and ball ammo. Try and break into my house. You will not survive.
Legitimately I think Mossberg is the only shotgun I will ever own… I’ve had a chance to shoot tons of different shotguns but honestly I just like Mossberg‘s more than any other shotgun
Question. He sent his gun to Mossberg for repair and they shipped it directly to him when it was finished. Do you have to have an FFL license to receive the shipment? I know you can't get new firearm purchases shipped to you without FFL but I don't know about shipment of a gun you already own.
Which brand and what type of heat shield is on your 590A1? I'm confused because I've heard that you can't install a heat shield on 590A1 due to the barrel thickness, but there are some 590A1 with heat shields installed, including yours.
I have a Mav88 (Moss500) set up for mini shells (1 3/4") that holds 8+1 and is the best scatter gun I've ever owned. NEVER HAD A MALFUNCTION! Mossberg/Maverick is the best shotgun on the market!
So does yours have a plastic triggerguard? You mentioned that part specifically in your story. You'd be the only fella I know of with a 590A1 with a plastic trigger guard.
From some of the stories you've told about your past and some of the pictures you've shown of yourself from years ago, I'm guessing the gun store owner saw you as a shady person and didn't feel comfortable selling you a firearm.
My barber just last week was telling me about Mega Sports. Never been there and it's about an hour away from me. Just about a year ago now i went to Cabela's (Yeah i know but they had it in stock... or so i thought) to get a very basic 12 gauge. 2 old timers trying to wait on about 100 customers I stood there for almost 3 hours. Finally my number was called, they don't have it. But he has a Winchester box in his hands and says but I found this back there and opens it up and it's a vicious looking Winchester sxp extreme defender in FDE with a heat shield, turkey made with gravy and mashed taters, and it was more money but i slapped my credit card on the counter almost immediately. Ok cool. DURING The 3 day waiting period my drivers license expired. But the lovely governor of IL extended everything so ok great. I go to pick it up and after another 2 hours of waiting in line in told even though my FOID is good for another 5 years, they can't do it with my expired drivers license. I'm keeping my calm ONLY because it's a firearm purchase but I said yeah I know that but there's a weird virus going around and they dmv's are all closed, maybe you've heard about it. and it just expired yesterday man! It was valid when i paid for it. Nope can't pick it up. I leave. About 10 days later i got a call that they will let me pick it up now. Apparently they were running into a lot of that. I go back. Another 2 and a half hours waiting in line with a mask on ruining my beautiful beard and i finally got the thing and i love it. But what the hell does my license have to do with anything when my FOID is good and I passed the background check. And Jesus, if I wanted to kill someone I already own more pistols than they had available for sale at the time. Whole thing is a joke. My father is a 78 year old Army veteran who isn't a gun guy but decided he wants something to keep in the house. So if applied for his FOID a year ago next month and STILL hasn't received it and there is no way of even check the status of it. It still shows on the state of Illinois site that it should take 30 days or so. YEAR. UNPROTECTED AND INFRINGED UPON. Illinois is a joke and I'm moving to Wisco when my parents pass. I try to spend as much time with them as i can, especially my dad because they're not getting any younger. I've been workin on my Wisconsin accent so I'll fit in when the time comes.
Brother I love Mossberg myself I too have a 590a1 basically the exact same shotgun you have down to the Magpul stock including the Magpul pump action. HOWEVER I just picked up a Mossberg MVP patrol and 223. Well I’m having all the issues that are possible that are posted on the internet and UA-cam about that rifle. So I call Mossberg about all the issues and was told basically they aren’t going to be able to do anything for me. I will say I’m extremely let down about this. However I will add if you want a shotgun go to Mossberg but if you want a rifle go to Ruger or savage or Winchester or Browning. Not a company that’s known for shotguns in my defense the MVP rifles especially the 223 ones the idea they came up with to use AR style magazines is definitely a good idea. I’ll be trying a Tromix mag well if that doesn’t work I’ll be trying the MDT stock. Hopefully the Tromix mag well fixes my rifle because the MDT stock is $400.
One upgrade for your 590a1 is a oversized safety. I have, and recommend, the Elite Tactical Advantage triangular shaped safety. Your choice to place the pointed end forward or to the rear. Vastly increases the number of ways to manipulate the safety. Even able to manipulate the safety with an injured hand. Can use the tree that you may be using for cover to switch the safety. Remember there is a small spring with a small ball bearing under that plastic safety. So slowly release the spring so the spring and that ball bearing won't fly off. The ETA oversized safety has improved machine screws with a Phillips head. Never have to be encumbered with that one way screw ever again. S&J Hardware in Ontario, Canada has a diamond shaped oversized safety. Both are machined from aircraft grade aluminum. Both are durable to last a lifetime. Will be able to inherit your Mossberg to your grandkids.
Your 97 looks great, I have a 100+ year old break down model that’s a bit more beat up. I really can’t decide if I wanna get it refurbished. I don’t sell my guns so “collectors value” doesn’t mean a damn thing to me.
The 97 might be an injury waiting to happen for someone that doesn't know better! But the nostalgic look of the old Military Surplus just appeals to me for some reason! You're probably good with 2 and 3/4 low brass or the old 2 and 3/4 paper shell buckshot rounds aren't you? I ask because I'm interested in adding one to my Mil Surp collection and would like to know what is completely safe to shoot in it. Im not as big a boy as a Scott over at Kentucky Ballistics. I don't think I would be as fortunate as him in that kind of explosive situation!
Pistol grips are awful, raptor grips are not so bad... I have a 590 Retrograde and an Ontario M7 bayonet. I agree with you completely on the Mossberg shotgun cheer squad, I am on the team. I own MANY Mossbergs and ALL of them are outstanding.
I had a 500a1 that must of had the same barrel and tube. If I recall correctly it held 7 and 1 or 8 and 1 was a sweet home defense tool. I would still have it if I had not got in a jam and needed some cash.
Right on you know I bought the first 590 a1 with the rear stock that hold extra rounds has the lug heat shield and I just put in a tru glow sight instead of the bead but the gun is a Tank but take off the Solid stock but pad and put on a dam decelerator or something cuz them slugs hurt.

Brownells has Mossberg OEM heat shields. There are two sizes. The smaller diameter heat shield for the 590 model. A larger diameter for the 590a1. Can order straight from Mossberg too. Best to have a barrel with a bead sight. The ghost ring may inhibit you from installing the heat shield. The heat shield kit has the following parts: the heat shield, two plastic spacer blocks for the tabs, two machine bolts and nuts to secure the heat shield to the barrel. I wish that Mossberg made these with a 20” barrel and 8+1 capacity. All the best to you Matt. Great story on the history of the pig stick. Be safe.
I've got my eye on the 590 Retrograde with bead sights for my first shotgun. It has a nice trench gun look to it with the heat shield and wood furniture.

excellent video and story, just saved up and bought 590A1 Retro, kinda have buyers remorse when I look at standard 590A1 (cost), but still very happy. btw, did have to send my brand spanky new shotgun back to Mossberg for issue with Safety and happy to say they stand behind their products 100%.
My son's fiance waited 14 months for her FOID card. This is unimaginably unconstitutional just across the river in Missouri.
I wonder if having common names is an issue that comes up with some NICS checks.
Just quit living in Missouri then and they will get less money from taxes
When people came west for the land/gold rush and opportunities available to the intrepid, the ones who couldn't get across the river named it,"ILLINOIS ." Missouri is fo those who escaped.

After running my M590A1 weekly for 3+ years (yes, weekly), an issue developed with cartridge stop. The point where it contacts with the action slide was damaged (both metal pieces burred). Had to call Mossberg to order a brand new action slide and the cartridge stop. Great customer service.
I’m trying to get out of Illinois, it sucks here 😭 took over a year to get my foid
Foid was recently ruled unconstitutional
I just moved in and have kept everything out of sight until I get one.
I agree, for shotguns bead sites and a regular stock are the best.
Not only is mossberg the oldest American firearms manufacturer (beretta globally dated to 1526) but they're still family owned and i respect that.
That 1st dealer wanted the shotgun for himself, hands down.
Yep

My Double barrel muzzle loader shotgun with damascus twist barrels is my oldest gun .. made some time in the 1800's
I like how the front sling mount unscrews and screws into the bayonet lug, which is the perfect place for it, didn’t know for a couple years.
Maybe send it in to Mossberg?
Ya ever I shoot the $20 for 100 shot shells from Walmart with the Silver base
Something about the base gets stuck in the chamber
Mine did too. I used some really fine scotch Brite in the chamber and its much better.

Great story! I don't own a Mossberg but I now have some background as to why I should.
Currently debating 590a1 vs a 500 for a one shotgun option for preparedness. Reliability vs alternate barrels? Any thoughts?
Awesome story behind the 590A1 Matt 👍
Which brand and what type of heat shield is on your 590A1? I'm confused because I've heard that you can't install a heat shield on 590A1 due to the barrel thickness, but there are some 590A1 with heat shields installed, including yours.
I have a Mav88 (Moss500) set up for mini shells (1 3/4") that holds 8+1 and is the best scatter gun I've ever owned. NEVER HAD A MALFUNCTION! Mossberg/Maverick is the best shotgun on the market!
I love that Magpul Hunter stock! I’ve got one on my Remington 700. Great stock!
So does yours have a plastic triggerguard? You mentioned that part specifically in your story. You'd be the only fella I know of with a 590A1 with a plastic trigger guard.
Love my Mossy . I paid to put a pistol grip and ghost rings on it. It increased the accuracy with slugs for me.

The lesson here is to not let the world know when your house is going to be unattended.
I like your video's, just happen to see this channel about a week ago..
Ok now back to the show. And as a gun owner in Illinois I would never buy from mega sports
Was that gun store right outside of Joliet ? I need a Mossberg 590A1. Do you stock them at this time ?
What safety protocol is built into Henry golden boy 45-70? The bolt operates similar to that m97 but lever action
How did you get the heatshield to fit the thicker 590A1 barrel?
DUUUUUDDDDEEEEEE!!!! I'm from Illinois too! MegaSports / Freddy Bear is my old 2A stomping grounds.

I would think all paper for sure and today's target loads should be ok. Some game loads or today's buck not so much.
Pistol grips are awful, raptor grips are not so bad... I have a 590 Retrograde and an Ontario M7 bayonet. I agree with you completely on the Mossberg shotgun cheer squad, I am on the team. I own MANY Mossbergs and ALL of them are outstanding.
