I don't know why everyone is saying it's ok. I thought it was incredible!!
Because the predecessors were better in every way. It tried to be something that R6 was never about. Beeing the sequel to R6 3 Ravenshield makes it even worse. This game is "ok" AT BEST.
They need to bring it back

I'm walking through it at the moment.. R6 3 had worse graphic but was way more challenging and could be played way more tactically than this. Enemies would surprise you with flanking maneuvers to get behind you or push you into a corner and were a sincere threat for all members.. Your assault rifle rounds could pierce through enemies and kill a hostage (happened to me two times) The Go-Code option was a vital mechanic imo to keep the advantage. Lockdown is a waste of potential because they made it casual in comparison.
I allways tought this game was buggy, because there were no updates back in the day, no internet ethernet connection, only on PS2
I got one shotted in the garage level 1 I was behind cover behind a car.
Sometimes my team died, sometimes they killed everyone, tried breaches, sent them all in snd they died; sometimes eith 1 health Bar I rushed them and was like Rambo and they didnt and could’t kill me, so strange.
Would you ever consider reviewing combat task force 121 or combat road to berlin for the original xbox?

Awesome review, i agree in the most you said, but theres something you didn’t mention the online
This game is pretty challenging when set on the hardest difficulty, people complain of bad enemy ai and teamate ai and how buggy it is, its odd because ive never encountered any of this on console AND the pc version, the enemies surprise you all the time and theres times where ONE enemy with a shotgun can take you and your entire squad out with one mistake or choice you make, make reasonable decisions and your teamates can make it along with helping you out along the way, btw for the best experience i highly recommend playing this on PC, its obviously the definitive version and imo its the best rainbow six title out of the rest, its not over the top like the others, its classic rb6 with modern graphics and realistic ragdoll physics, this was the last true rainbow six game.

I think I owned this briefly years ago but couldn't get into it. Sounds a bit dumbed down but fun, might have to give it a go if I come across it. Nice work buddy :)
Steadysphere it's fine, the game is just as I said, the definition of 3 out of 5.
Just a shame that they didn't take the risk of giving players a little more of a challenge.

This game didn't get much attention at the time. I jumped straight from RS3 to RS:Vegas on Xbox.
Vegas was a great little game.
I still play it from time to time today.
Just bought it for a dollar at a yard sale and I’m gonna play it again. I have to say I liked it as a kid but I love the Vegas games over any of em
Try out the PC version, its totally a different game, i just got it on steam for 2 bucks on sale and its not the same, its actually one of the best rainbow six titles i ever played, its realistic af

Rainbow six 3 was the cod of it's day.

Just played the game this year, and its a generic everymans version of Rainbow Six, which catered to the mainstream FPS crowd of the time.
the pc version was a totally different game, the most realistic one out of the rest of the rb6 games

Got this game on Xbox collecting dust..
Rainbow six for ps2 is a good game if you want to wast 3 or 4 hours on a game that's how long it took me to finish the game.
Nick Quest yeah it's pretty short and sweet so it's done before you get bored with it.
Too easy ?????? I stopped playing this game after repetitively failing the first mission.

I used to play this on PC but i still cant belive how it can look this stunning and being made for the ps2.. omg... This omne is better then vegas and vegas 2, not as good as rouge spear and rafven shield though.
This is where the downfall of Rainbow Six series had started
I'm playing it right now and I think this might be the worst R6 game. And yes I have the same exact problem of the AI running into your line of fire. So annoying.

Most of the Tom Clancy games with the exception of splinter cell was very hit or miss Rainbow 6 3 was a hit lockdown was very mediocre and lvery campy I wasn't the biggest fan of lockdown like I said splinter cell was Lightning in a bottle Rainbow 6 and ghost recon were very hit or miss sometimes very good and sometimes very mediocre at best lockdown was very mediocre
Worst of the series. The only one I never finished. Only improvement was you could finally set your teammates weapons. Getting Critical Hour soon as it was a states side release only on XBOX.

Not all R6 games, just this one. At least in my opinion.
