- Happy new year! I am back in action!
Today we are looking at the Tudor Black Bay 58 in Silver m79010sg-0001, an exciting diver made on a beautiful silver case. Hope you enjoy the video,
Andrei.

Silver BB is IMO one of the most interesting Tudors. That watch can work for most occasions. Looks unique and beautiful in both the leather and the nato.
I don't like having diver watches on leathwr but this one is an exception.
Taupe is a very versatile colour, but I'm not sure about the silver case. The bb54 is a bit to small for my taste. I had it one my wirst, but it didn't feel good, maybe I'll buy it for my wife. So I'll stay with my navy bb58 and my bbPro. 😊
Haha, with the 54 you have to get used to it. Yes. Enjoy those BB's :)
I have changed from wearing my BB58 925 on the leather strap to a Forstner Model J bracelet, which totally transforms it. It is a great watch in this configuration for holiday or for more formal occasions. I also have the original gilt BB58, which I wear on a Forstner Model O bracelet for normal day to day wear. Great watches for the money.
More manicured manliness from the mild mannered mentor of all things time
Shame that it tarnishes
@@IDKline yes , I think it was a bit disappointing as Tudor had gone to quite a bit of marketing expense to say that they’d developed new materials and it was going to have no issues .
I’ve always been a fan of Tudor.
I couldn’t care less about Rolex.
Yeah I know they’re owned by them.
Whilst both companies are owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, Rolex doesn’t own Tudor.
This is a great little video on a lovely watch.
The 54 is a surprisingly good watch but I’d go for this silver.
I don’t know of any other watch which has a silver case. And even if it does patina a bit I think that might look quite nice.
Plus I’m a sucker for a grey dial. Very versatile and can be dressed up or down very easily. And for me I’d say more elegant than black.
With that strap it looks really good on you with a suit.
Excellent video, thank you
I have this watch. It’s beautiful. Looks great on leather but currently have mine on a fitted vanguard rubber strap. The silver is lovely to look at and touch - so different to my other watches.
Loving the new silver black bay - just picked one up
HNY, by the way, I'm subscribed, but this video is only in the recommendations. Anyone have a clue as to why?
You should reconsider new BB41. I have had mine for a couple of months now and it's a completely different watch - thinner, lighter, amazing jubilee bracelet, lolipop seconds hands, it wears more like a 40 than 42 as the old one did.
Happy new year Andrei! May it be blessed with good fortune and great health for you and your family. Beautiful watch!
Happy new year! Thank you very much! ❤️
Scratches extremely easily, and goes yellow when it tarnishes. Not for me.
I must admit that I go between loving my 54 more than my 58 and VV. They both work. The silver 58 for me is nice, but was put off a bit when viewing it in an AD and already it had signs of tarnishing on the back.
Already, omg.
Yes AD guy didn't know what to say 😂@@BraveBeaters
I'm pretty sure the 54 is for the ladies.
Lovely (as usual) review! So comfortable to watch! tu m'énerves because u make me wanna eat popcorn while watching it and guess what… popcorn does not belong in a carnivore diet! 🥶😡
Haha! Beef jelly :D
This is next on my Tudor wish list. I really love the tones of this watch. While I'm excited to see what Tudor does with the 54 platform, the 58 dimensions are great for my wrist.
Just bout one still comming
I don't like a case of bb58
That taupe BB58 is a beauty! I tried a BB58 at the AD a while ago and it's a beauty though I have an Invicta Pro Diver 31290 and I get 95% of the BB taste for a smear fraction of it.😂 Ended up getting instead a neovintage Seamaster 2232.80 Titanium Electric blue waved dial and it was a way better choice for me than a brand new BB58. Sweet videography as always!!! ❤
Thank you! True, I reviewed that model as well :)
I enjoy watching your videos.
Tudor is soooooo boring.
What if they made the BB54 in full 800 silver on a bracelet? The ultimate unisex precious metal diver.
I have a bb58 and a TT Sub and tried a silver 58 a couple of years ago, and what put me off was the display case back, what’s the point? The movement is unexceptional and plain reminds me of those cheap seiko’s with display backs I may return to it but at the moment not for me.
Honestly when I first heard about this watch I wasn't all the interested. But the more I've thought about it the more I've fall in love. Especially the dial color. And unless someone knows the signs most people won't know you are wearing a silver watch.
I think Tudor will be releasing a new 58 METAS model in April which could be interesting 🤔 this silver 58 will probably get discontinued soon because it’s not been very popular.
This black strap looks amazing but seems unavailable on the website in the description 😢
Hi, it seems to be available at any size...
@@BraveBeaters but not black!? It’s the green one that is in the link 🤔
Those colours really work.
Very nice video and I get your point, but personally I think I'd prefer the 54. Happy New Year!
Great video. I would wait for the updated 58. That will make you sell the 54. The 58 is closer to vintage than the 54.
How do you clean the case? Is there a risk of damaging the case with cleaning (scrubbing, etc.)?
*I recommend the 58 on the Erika's original Connery 👍
could you make a video of the Tudor BB58 bronze 39mm? I loved the video
Great review. Thanks.
btw, your sound will be completely improved when the intrusive musak is removed.
I like the music, I wouldn't remove it outright. Perhaps lowering the volume just a touch would work better.
Haha! It is intrusive indeed but I can't see the videos without bg music :)
Great video. I like this watch a ton. It goes with anything but a black suit, its fully brushed case means that it works as a beater and you can buff out scratches with an eraser (but why bother? they look so cool), the silver-aluminium alloy does not tarnish much (again, eraser). And it's a real diver; goes to 200m, certainly good enough for swimming or snorkelling or monsoon season. The rubberised leather strap works well even in tropical climates. Much, much more interesting than a lot of Tudors. Definitely good enough for a 1- or 2-watch collection. My only complaint is the strap tapers a little too much for me.

Love the 58!
Silver is very soft, I presume that as well as tarnishing it will be covered with dents over time. Great photography 👍
I’ve had for some time and have no scratches or dents. But very tarnished
@@dereklee7009 Thank you 👍
It’s silver. Dial & bezel have little contrast. That’s why.
ps, the silver case finish is temporary, I much prefer it's fully patinated end result which approximates black here, and not keen to go at this periodically and harm the texture.
I agree. It may corrode in time :)
my example IS black, 18 mths unworn in watch case. I consider it not a possibility but an inevitability. Perhaos storage in hermetic sealed box with dessicant or pure nitrogen might have avoided or delayed. Still, I love the result.
On paper this is a really nice watch, and it seems it is, but to me it’s a bit boring because of the dial and bezel color. I love the idea of the silver case but there’s not enough of a contrast for me between the colors of the watch.
Hmmm… after watching this video… I think I like more the 54 than the 58 … 😍🥰😘
You have to see them side by side, 58 is not bad at all :)

An nou fericit!
Multumesc, la fel! :)
I’m very much a practical tool watch guy, but I really admire this BB silver case model. It’s quite regal looking especially with those leather straps. I think it would be awesome to see the patina after a year’s worth of wrist time! Well done indeed 🥃
I love this watch. Gorgeous on so many levels.
Happy new year! Within shades of grey, I prefer this type of taupe color more than the sunburst anthracite ones.
Beautiful watch - really enjoyed the review and the insight into where is sits as not just a tool-diver.
haha yes I was debating between the blue one or this and picked this at the end as the blue one was gone while I was thinking. It's been great. the black and blue ones can be sold a lot faster.
Great review. The aftermarket strap is a beauty, where did you get it? Regards

Thank you!@@ph69jbl
The bezel doesn’t line up at the top 😅
Hmm... I think you are right :D
I own one and it is by far my favorite and a strap monster looks good on all
Looking sharp my friend! 🤟
Sharp is my middle name :)))
@@BraveBeatersjust like the VCRs when we (mostly me) were kids?
not a tudor fanboy at all. and then i saw the 58 in silver and said, whoa! bought it the next day. a wonderful everyday watch. and if there's patina, i'm cool with that. thanks for the video.
Exactly my experience! :)
Give me a feeling of mah….nothing special and rather boring.
