I went out a couple of weeks ago not intending to necessarily buy a watch. I ended up in a small boutique shop here in Vancouver BC, where I picked up a Laco Type A, which I love. My wife brought my Rolex Submariner 16613, that I had purchased from a Rolex AD in Richmond, VA (back in 1998) to the nearby Bucherer boutique in Lausanne, CH. She had brought along the original paperwork, purchase receipt, and insurance papers for that watch...which was in need of a service. The Bucherer employee at the counter told my wife, in the presence of other clients in the shop, that the watch was a fake and that it could not be serviced. Maybe for the fact that my wife is not Swiss...cannot say for sure...their treatment of her was cringe-worthy. In any event, my wife did not take the situation sitting down and insisted on a qualified expert examining the watch. After about 20 minutes, an employee with half a brain finally came over to authenticate my Sub. Rolex charged me ~CHF 1100 for that service. Bucherer is a business unit within the Rolex Foundation. If a Rolex employee cannot tell a genuine watch from a fake, why the hell should I spend another dime on that brand. Especially when considering how those pompous fools treated my wife. Never again.
Exactly the reason I bought a black dial 41. It is very polarising, but I think the design is stunning. It has a Sellita movement which likely upsets THE COMMUNITY.
The one thing I love about Tudor is they are legitimately a collectable brand now and an owner can proudly compare their watch with a more expensive brand.

What makes it collectible now as opposed to before? Vintage Tudor subs have been on the rise for years. And who cares how a watch stacks up against another watch especially when comparing price points. All that should matter is if you like it or not. I get just as much enjoyment from my Seiko 5 on a cheap NATO strap as info from my glashutte senator which is 100 times more expensive.
I got started with a Longines myself - I’d still argue they are the best entry level watch over Tudor due to their own heritage and design language. I love what Tudor is doing as well, but I’d place them as a second watch purchase more than a first watch.
Depends on what you call 'entry level'. Maybe 'entry level' for a premium brand with notes of luxury, sure. But anything can work like a gateway drug... be it an inexpensive Quartz Casio or Timex or great sub-1k mechanical watch choices from the likes of Seiko or Tissot, both as well with great history and are well-established & well-regarded brands that are very accessible to get into as a first watch.
IMO, Seiko is the entry point for Grand Seiko, Longines for Omega and Tudor for Rolex. So it really depends. But in recent years, both Longines and Tudor have been hitting the right notes.
Mmh idk I think we should leave it up to everyone themselves what number of watch a certain brand should be. My first was a Seiko and Tudor was my 6th. Next on the list is Rolex but if I could do it again I would go straight for Tudor -> then Rolex

Great Tudor review gents! Last night I started with my first entry level luxury watch. I was between the 1926 and the Tudor Royal, but what did it for me was the sportier look of the Royal blue dial and that’s what I ended up getting. I like big watches, so I got in 41mm. It looks and feels amazing on my wrist!

I always wonder what the sales figures of Tudor would be if you could actually get any Rolex you want at sticker price. Honestly, I think the current sales figures of Tudor are primarily driven by aspiring Rolex buyers who simply can't get their hands on one. I don't see Tudor as a stand-alone brand, but still as the affordable alternative to Rolex, just like Wilsdorf positioned it. And honestly, I think the management of Tudor and Rolex are still purposefully positioning the brands like that. Tudor's existence is completely dependent upon the artificially created scarcity of Rolex.

@@sunflash101 Those are both very attractive watches! I have slowed down - and now trying to be very plan-full of what comes next especially with the state of the world *lol* I used to be more into handbags but now not so much - plus I used to be in the horse world and lets be clear everything on some level seems cheaper than that *LOL* but I would like to be very deliberate into what makes me happy in my collection and the why. I love that your partner and you share a common interest. I will say my Tudor Claire de Rose - it had the two things I realized - 1) the shape of the Ballon Bleu or close enough to me with the comfy strap that reminds me of the Cartier Panthere (didnt like that one was a little too boxy for me in a not good way)
Kevin and Teddy! The best horological combo! Thank you!!🙌🏼🫡
Started my collection with a tudor black bay bronze only 4 months ago. Absolutely love the watch and brand

Me too. I've had my bronze a year now also; a beautiful watch!!!
Love the collabs. You guys are great together. He does something I think might surprise people who only know him from Sharktank, he actually listens. This is Teddy's wheelhouse and he's curious to learn, I like that.
I bought my 1926 after Teddy introduced me to it. Absolutely love it and it fits almost any occasion
I just purchased a 1926 in 41mm with gold indices today. I absolutely love the styling of it! Rolex just didn’t have an offering like that that fit my taste. I do love the no date Sub Rolex has. I’m on the “Interest List” for that one.
Finally ordered my 1926 a couple days ago. 39mm blue and white dial. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
I went out a couple of weeks ago not intending to necessarily buy a watch. I ended up in a small boutique shop here in Vancouver BC, where I picked up a Laco Type A, which I love.
I had some time to spare, so walked over to Rodeo Jewellers, who carry pretty much all the major brands, except Rolex. The Black Bay Bronze 79250 caught my eye, and nothing else in the shop could compare. I absolutely love it.
Moral of the story? Don’t go out casually watch shopping… you may end up spending over 7K CDN!
Tudor is a great brand and they have great offerings.
Another great video from Kevin and Teddy. This is my go to You Tube channel. Kevin’s comments ring so true, I have owned watches in the past but this year I started collecting. My first purchase was a Black Bay GMT quickly followed by Black Bay Black with the gold hands. I have two other Tudor’s on order, a Pelagos FXD and the Panda Chrono. Inspired by our duo’s recent shopping spree in the Omega store I have also acquired a Seamaster Chrono and the Planet Ocean orange bezel. I am now a collector with the decease - thanks Kevin! I do agree with Teddy, Tudor are a great entry point for someone wanting a luxury watch with style and technical excellence at an affordable price.
Teddy thank you for everything.
Would you consider doing something like this but about the brand IWC? It would be nice to knoe your thoughts about it.
It's a treat for eyes to watch you two together.talking wonderfully about these classy pieces.🙂
Kevin is wearing an extremely cool FP Journe right now!
Hey Brittney love your videos!
I wear a Rolex as my daily but really want a Tudor too, I appreciate them for what they are. Beautiful and exceptional attention to detail.
The Dynamic Duo strike again! I don't think you can pair up a better team. Thanks for this great introduction to Tudor. It makes me want to go out and buy one.
I love my Tudor! Glad to see the truly deserved appreciation!

Kevin and Teddy have great chemistry. Kevin is clearly a big wheel but he shows a lot of class deferring to Teddy on the details. Took a chance last year w the 58-925 in silver; I was a little apprehensive but it's proven to be a great watch with ~70 hours reserve and super comfortable strap.
I love Kevin, he is so down to earth for a guy who doesn't have to be. He gives fantastic advice, is willing to share the stage with Teddy and is just an all around cool guy.
Thanks very much for an amazing look at Tudor!!!! I always enjoy videos with the both of you!!!! I love the two Tudor watches in my collection and hope to add more!!!!
Kevin needs to let Teddy finish talking sometimes. The interrupting is annoying
I'm lucky enough to have several Rolexs but have just purchased a Tudor GMT and added an Everest blue strap, absolutely love the watch and combination
My understanding of Tudor was that, Tudor was the Rolex for Blue & White Collar workers and also watch enthusiasts.
Definitely not a poor man’s Rolex I have steel and bicolour Rolex’s, and I love Tudor which is what I wear nearly every day. Fantastic watch and I have just brought the BB pro with the hybrid strap.
I bought a 1926, silver dial with gold hands, 39mm, for my 25th wedding anniversary. It's a gorgeous timepiece. Say what you want about Rolex, but this brand has all the top-tier quality, while being undervalued. Mine will last a lifetime.
Fantastic way to showcase Tudor. I was hoping to hear a reference to the North Flag as their first in-house movement and a quirky field watch with an exhibition case back.
As a Tudor fan I have been waiting for this topic/video, great job guys!

Excited to be picking up my first Tudor piece in a few days!
Kevin out here bringing Teddy to talk about Tudor on just to show he got that rare FPJ collection with the piece on his wrist! I see you Mr. Wonderful!!
Tudor Royal 41mm DayDate is one of the best value for dollar options on the market right now.
The Smart Man’s Rolex
I have a DJ 41 and a Tudor GMT, I’m always picking the Tudor
I absolutely love my Tudor watch and it was so exciting to hear you review my exact model. Seriously I think you two talking watches is magic in real life. I love your videos as I also share your love of watches. Thanks for the continued excellent content.
The best collabs on youtube. Keep it up!
As someone who love watches and love Mr. Wonderful it honestly is a treat to hear him talk on watches!
Great video loving my Tudor GMT had it 3 years looks Beautiful it a keeper 😀 ❤️
I would have loved to see the Tudor Royal mentioned. I think that's a pretty remarkable under the radar pick from the brand!
Exactly the reason I bought a black dial 41. It is very polarising, but I think the design is stunning.
It has a Sellita movement which likely upsets THE COMMUNITY.
Never thought I'd enjoy watching guys talk about watches, but you two make it fun and interesting. (not to mention educational) Keep up the good work.
I love the Black Bay Silver and Bronze, innovative and unique
The one thing I love about Tudor is they are legitimately a collectable brand now and an owner can proudly compare their watch with a more expensive brand.

What makes it collectible now as opposed to before? Vintage Tudor subs have been on the rise for years. And who cares how a watch stacks up against another watch especially when comparing price points. All that should matter is if you like it or not. I get just as much enjoyment from my Seiko 5 on a cheap NATO strap as info from my glashutte senator which is 100 times more expensive.
You guys work so well together! Great stuff.
@@Duboixofficiel yeah my comment is based on what they said in the video : they said Tudor is a good entry level and mention Oris and Longines as others - I was specifically referencing this video with my comment.
@@cinemenico totally - but my comment was referring to what they said in this video. They specifically say Tudor is a good entry into watches, then they specifically also mention Longines. That’s why I mentioned Longines being a better entry into watches in my opinion.
Same, bought one a few days ago as my first real watch and love the look of it.
@telegrammemrreis5737 you only have one subscriber and you want to talk now? LMAO!
you two play off each other very well. great interaction. - BUCHERER , fabulous watch store, very open and friendly staff - RAMI - anxious for my next visit . ~ JDS/CT
Jonathan, will Bucherer sell to customers who do not live in NYC? Many ADs only sell to local customers, at least for the Rolex brand.
@@dannysimenauer5745 interesting . they wouldn't service tourists ? in nyc , what's considered 'local' ? good luck. ~ JDS/CT
I'm a proud Tudor owner and i adore my watch the quality and accuracy of my watch is incredible a chronometer for £3000 just fantastc
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love amzwatch ’s watches
I always wonder what the sales figures of Tudor would be if you could actually get any Rolex you want at sticker price. Honestly, I think the current sales figures of Tudor are primarily driven by aspiring Rolex buyers who simply can't get their hands on one. I don't see Tudor as a stand-alone brand, but still as the affordable alternative to Rolex, just like Wilsdorf positioned it. And honestly, I think the management of Tudor and Rolex are still purposefully positioning the brands like that. Tudor's existence is completely dependent upon the artificially created scarcity of Rolex.

Totally agree. Rolex Marketing machine. Genius. Nice watches, but I’m with you.
I bought a Pelagos only to get in the good graces of the AD who also handles Patek. I thought I’d keep it in the winder or safe and wear it when I was feeling “blue”. I was dead wrong. I love the titanium and the way the watch wears. Tudor is a great value.
Loved the video and love my BB58. To me, Tudor is almost on par with rolex but at a fraction of a price. Why the lower price? You don't need pay for the over hyped brand name. Great watches that are worth the money.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Kevins right, I just ordered a Casio Duro,Pepsi. Under $60 with tax and delivery. From 5 feet away it looks just like the Rolex or the tutor. Great video guys
But a Rolex and Tudor are equity and can be an asset
@@ballislife2351 maybe Rolex but Tudor isn’t going to appreciate in the same manner over time.
Put it on a bracelet and make it look much better
It also more durable, more accurate, low servicing and wont die after a few days of not wearing it.
@@daley1985 It would look a lot better. But I am into rubber and leather just for convenience. I got tired of adjusting bracelets.
Every 5 years I get my dad a new watch. This last Christmas he received a Tudor Black Bay Pro. He was amazed by how great it looks and fits.
My Rolexes have been in the case since I started collectingTudor’s current lineup. Hands down best bang for your buck
I’m the exact same way.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Not the poor man's rolex but a man's watch.
Rolex = queen's crown
Tudor = knight's shield
for logos.
Kidding of course both beautiful watches

I fell in love with Tudor after seeing one in a Porsche commercial. A 911 with a Tudor diver looked like a fit👍
Which commercial/ad? Official production? Why would they use a Porsche Design Eterna or Orfina in their own ad?
@notDonaldFagen it's been a while, probably early 2000s. Idk why the did that's how I first heard of Tudor.
I own a Pepsi on jubilee I got back in November and I find myself wearing my new Pelagos 39 more than the Rolex. I absolutely LOVE Tudor, and never once, have I ever thought of Tudor as the poor man’s Rolex. Wear what you enjoy, and don’t mind what people think or say 👍

You are correct about Rolex buyers buying Tudors. I own an Explorer II (Polar) and I also have a Pelagos (in blue). Great video!
i hate when anyone calls anything a poor man this or that, not fair to the person that bought it
Kevin is most likable when he's nerding out on watches with Teddy. Its a great friend for Teddy to have made
Just picked up that exact Black Bay 41 and I love it! It really is a perfect all-round piece. Wore it dressed up last night and have it on today in running shorts and a T-shirt. Love it!
What Teddy said about the Black Bay is totally true for me. You get the diver-like aesthetic in a more neutral framework that can do it all from casual to dressed up. That was precisely the reason why I got it and I love it every time I wear it.
Watch collecting is indeed a never ending journey and a lovely disease 💕 I was never a big fan of Tudor. It always felt like a wanna be Rolex. I just couldn’t take them seriously with an ETA movement. But in the last couple of years they have really done great stuff.
EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!! THANKS!!
BIG FAN FROM INDONESIA 🇮🇩
I've been keeping an eye on this exact 1926 that was featured here. Love it!
same here , that opaline in 41 has really caught my eye
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Great video! I really love this content with Teddy. But I have to say I was a little distracted by my BB58 bronze, I had to keep looking down to enjoy it while listening to the praises of tudor and comparing it to the other watches.
Tudor is amazing! I'm looking for the BB36 as my first luxury watch. When it comes to watches, Kevin and Teddy are a golden duo!
Looks like they design them like Rolex
@@dazedandcold Hahaha Exactly!
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
Tudor is an 'impatient' man's Rolex and not a 'poor' man's Rolex. 4000 usd Tudor is not a 'poor' man's choice, a Pagani Design is.
Just got my Black bay chrono S&G. Loving it!
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. amzwatch brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
Dear Mister O’Leary; Tudor was never called a poor man’s Rolex. It was called a “working man’s Rolex”. There is a big difference in that!

Tudor is really great. Better looking than Rolex as well, in many cases. Check out the Heritage Chrono Blue.
these two always make good chemistry Thanks Gents

Rolex Sub 116618LN owner/every day wearer. I love it. However, I bought it at 25k. It's now worth upwards of 55, but closer to 60.
I will say, a "cheap homage" watch, or line of them that are shooting for the Rolex look that everyone can afford: Invicta.
@3:50 "...many Rolex buyers buy Tudor still..." That's because you can't *get* a Rolex anymore! I was on the waiting list for a green Submariner, (Cermit) but eventually gave up waiting and bought a green Omega Seamaster 300M (Seaweed) instead. By deliberately keeping production low and by utilising an opaque 'waiting list' system, Rolex is cutting off the branch that they are sitting on.
Kevin one year before: "mmhhmm...naah...why should I buy a Tudor if I can add some more an go for a Rolex?"
