if the manifold cracks again its because it needs a support brace welded from the pipe to the flange in that gap (just like the sr20det spaghetti manifolds ), Also cannot stress enough when welding to wear gloves and a leather jacket to stop your skin absorbing the uv radiation
As an actual welder leather jacket is suggested but a long sleeve will still do the job just no exposed skin
@@henryegan4385 correct, also a hat or beanie to stop the top or your head being exposed otherwise melanomas will sprout up real quick

Mine ran at 15psi as a daily driver for a couple years before it blew up because I sat launch control for too long
Take it to the drag strip and get some times! Then you can compare when you do future tweaks!

Rex how are u tuning the car? Is it a stock chipped ecu or a plug in through the OBD port?
Depends on the ecu, newer 2000 and up models came with a plastic ecu similar to the one on the evo 5 and can be tuned using a tactrix and evoscan or ecuflash. some models came with a metal ecu that cant be tuned. most likely he is using a tactrix cable
if you kill the motor and end up swapping something else into it id love to buy the manifold off you! Sick build!

The computer should throw more than 8 psi if not u need to upgrade map sensor to a omni power 4bar sensor and throw some 1000cc injector and make it jam and if it blows install a 4g93 ive thrown 15-20 stock making 400-450hp
And if its the computer get the one off a 1.8 lancer its a black box ecu should plug in but it should be the same computer u just need a map sensor

Got offered a 1999 hyandai excel with a turbo built motor body kit etc for 1k. No mods plates should I I am tempted
If you don't plan on registering it, then go for it... RWC will be a headache though...

Probably will juat get a r31 or r32 4 door.
