By the way, I chuckled when you said Camry drivers are a different breed of people, as I am now also a Camry driver! Just bought my first car which is a 2007 Camry Sportivo manual with the 4cyl 2AZ-FE engine. I couldn’t be happier, it was $5500 on Marketplace and being in Tasmania there’s not much choice.

Commenting on a general basis of Lancer's, they're under rated car's that are slept on thanks to the Evo. Like sure, we can all agree they are slow power wise but you throw them into turns theu excell + they're reliable. A salesmen i know, they find it easier to sell Lancer's then Toyota's and like Toyota's, the Lancer's keep going even if they've been thrashed.
Also an owner of a 2007 Lancer (CJ) and a 2011 Lancer Ralliart (2011) so may have bit if a bias 😅

awd conversion would be too much work.rear floorpan has to be cut out and replaced by a very costly rear floorpan from an actual evo, along with all the transmission transfer case, split fuel tank whole rear sub frame and suspension.its better as a fwd because it's pretty light.
