Any information but is the dash cam fitted as standard on the Atto 3 or does it have to be installed later? because I press the button for more than 5 seconds but nothing happens

Can l just put a larger card in if l want to record more or do l have to set up the folders etc first some how.
Just put in blank sd and the system will add folders
My app is blocked, how do I activate it?
only front side recording I think. Actually 360 degree must save much better
How do you format a microsdcard to work in ATTO3?
You don’t just plug it in and the system will organise folders

I have software V1.0 currently
I am pressing the screen rotation button and holding for 3 to 5 seconds, but the screen keeps rotating instead of displaying the custom buttons option.😢
I will answer my self : BYD uk confirmed that the function of the cam recording is not available and not authorised for the BYD uk vehicles. This is due to the UK government concerns over the Chinese servers .... 🕵️♂️

Unfortunately, for several days now I have not been able to get to the edit camera button on the screen

Reset the system by holding down the volume wheel in the centre console for 6 seconds then release. If that does not do it I suggest to take to service centre

Hi thanks for video. What's the recording length 1', 2', or 5'? Does it mot record all the time when you are driving?
It records all the time. Rather than one big file it records in small files.. The files can contain either 1,2 or minute recording length.
Is it possible to copy the pictures to a USB stick instead of the SD card?
I think so. I will look at that and get back to you
Hi there, yes it is possible and very useful other users in NZ have found when needing to submit evidence to Police due to a road incident. Some people have taken to leaving a data stick in the USB port in case they need to do so in an urgent situation. The file manager allows you to copy and paste 👍

Not sure what you mean, video lock means, record a seperate copy of the video as at now'. Why they call it lock I dont know. Maybe a better term is "capture the current video". Is that what you mean,
@@BYD_Telsa Thank you - now I know. My initial guess was that video lock means that the system will lock the video to prevent it being overwritten. Thanks for your great video tutorials. As you said in another video, the manual leaves a lot to be desired.
Sorry for being a pain does it require inserting an SD card or does it record to onboard storage which I think is 128gb?
There shuld be an SD card in the slot already. It needs the SD card.
@@BYD_Telsa I phoned BYD today and they said that due to GDPR legislation in EU it’s disabled, will have assessor check tomorrow.

In europe there is no dvr app. Could extract and upload your dvr .apk? That would be very nice.
I've got the BYD ATTO 3 DESIGN picked it up March 24, it's not a bad car & ok to drive, range isn't bad but i think any electric car will only benefit with home chargers, I've no off street parking & councils are way behind with allowing gutter cable channels installed outside. I noticed you didn't mention the BYD Camera which is a decent addition to this car but what you're not told or i wasn't that the Inbuilt Dash Cam is disabled in the UK which is ridiculous until it passes regulations 🤷🏻 its a safety feature you numpties get it passed as all other countries use it. Also the front sensors have been altered with an update apparently which i noticed from the hire car i had .The hire car front & rear sensors worked great & the front cameras came on to show you the distance, but with the update, the sensors are almost none existent & you are almost touching the object in front & this is poor. I mentioned both to the Dealership & they said they've always been like this: Bull💩 I've been Driving over 40yrs & front sensors are there to notify you. The dealership & BYD arnt being honest notifying you about the UK spec so ask.
So they will tell you the sensor's only work when in reverse & the camera instantly comes on🤔 it does, but the front cameras can come on intermittently which i thinks a flaw, unsure about over the air updates as they can alter whatever they want😮

Thanks for your videos. Having test driven last week, I'm likely to replace my current MG ZS EV with the Atto 3 when my lease runs out in September. In the meantime, I'm struggling to get a definitive answer on the future availability of the DVR in the UK. I wonder if you can help? Some people have told me that the DVR is and will NOT be available in the UK at any time in the future and the hardware is not installed. Others have said the hardware IS installed in UK cars, and the function will be enabled in future once BYD has obtained the relevant licenses. BYD UK themselves dont answer emails!!! Can you take a photo of the part of the front windscreen of your car where the DVR is housed so I can see what I SHOULD be able to see if UK cars have the DVR hardware installed? Many thanks.
