    North Georgia
Kathy and I had another wonderful Thanksgiving escape to the mountains of North Georgia. We had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner cooked over the campfire. As always…we take time to bless the food and give thanks for our many blessings.
Friday morning we were joined by our new friend, Sean, from South Carolina. He was driving a Mitsubishi Montero. Following him was his friends David and Don in David’s Series 80 Land Cruiser. We were in our Lexus GX470 (our off-road rig…and camper puller). It was a beautiful morning and a fun day of mild wheeling. Although, David ALMOST rolled his 80 by taking a bad line down an embankment…too close for comfort (it is in the video)!
Saturday Sean joined us again as we enjoyed another day of off-pavement adventures and enjoying more of God’s beauty. In the afternoon we met Jay and Joe and followed them for a while. It didn’t take us long to realize that their level of wheeling was slightly above our pay-grade! These guys don’t mind putting it all on the line!
It was a fun trip and our fourth year to enjoy this area over Thanksgiving.

Found your video because of all the GX videos I watch. Just got my wife an 08 GX470 with 100k miles on it. We are in Hall County on Lake Lanier. Thanks for the video.

@@Flyboytr What winch did you use? I really like that hidden setup. Do you have a video on your equipment? Thanks!

When comparing vehicles, I always like to look at those that run trails in this area because it gives me a good idea what to expect. We're in Tryon, NC, but the topography is much the same as N Ga, so this gives me a good look at the GX470. Good video. I hated to see the FJ get scratched up, but that's going to happen from time to time.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. We will be returning to north GA for Thanksgiving again this year. Yep. I will reserve comment on the FJ debacle.... :) But it was a shame to see that happen.

The FJ and the guide were hard to watch. That was terrible on both sides.

I often wonder if the people who bought those Caddys new would ever imagine their cars becoming immortal
