Hey fellas. As a Aboriginal Australian and big 4wd, bush, camping fan, gotta say it says alot that someone like Ronnie really gets along with you fellas. Relationships with communities is precious and meaningful. Men passing through are judged by intent and character, not by their status, titles, looks or car they drive. I'm addicted to your show. Great Aussie real drama! I've got no idea about 4WD driving but learning a few things especially the U bolts! Well done for your persistence and perseverance fellas!!! Looking forward to the next episode! Might take up 4WD? 😅
I've seen a number of these series opening the Oombulgurri track and being from the US and love to see them! I'd also love to see what this looks like later in the season to see how different it is. The challenge is wonderful to see but to see the comparison would be really interesting!
It's crazy what a wet season can do the the environment! We hadn't been there for a few years and while things might look similar to the past, lots has also changed!
Thank you guy's 🙂 👋 I clicked on one of your random video's recently, and I love these mini series and this Channel. And I am not even, a 4WD person. But, I would love to be tagging along (I am in spirit anyway 😁 !!! ). Thank you for helping to relax my mind, during a very stressful and trying time for me. I have severe chronic pain, and am unable to work anymore. And have just lost my home of 10 year's, recently. And I am waiting, to find another one. I love, your combined energy, your banter, and your enthusiasm. Your obvious, genuine passion for what you do. Your courage, your comradeship, and your teamwork. You are showing me parts of my own country, that I have never even seen before. And would never, be able to go there myself. You are all, educating me along the way. By sharing your many combined year's, of 4WD driving and camping experience with us. Thank you for all of your time, efforts, expense, planning, and for sharing this with us all. Wherever, we all may call home. I just wanted to say, Thank you from little old me 😁 !!! I have never, owned a 4WD or even driven one, nor been with anyone whom does. It just shows how well, you guy's put these video's together. That you can draw in viewers, whom have never experienced a 4WD adventure like myself. Nor know anything, about the equipment and setups you have on your vehicles etc. A big acknowledgement, recognition, and well earned praise, for all of your camera crew. That trust in you guy's, and that follow you through everything you do. And they work hard behind the scenes, in the heat, in the dust, in the humidity, in the rain, and in the mud. Your creative camera shots, and the angles are truly stunning. And they capture those moments of untamed beauty, and vastness so wonderfully. And you allow the countryside, to clearly and simply speak for itself. And for your time then spent afterwards, editing, narrating, and for the end production. The end production, really is top notch quality. Camera crew, you guy's should all be very proud of what you do, too. You guy's, are mostly unseen and unheard. So you guy's, are equally important. And these adventures captured in these video's, and this Channel wouldn't exist without you. And your commitment, to giving us the viewer, a premium, enjoyable, educative, relaxing, and always fun experience 😊 So Thank you all of you guy's, for all of the times, that you have made me laugh and smile. When real pain, and the accompanying exhaustion drain me. And when the pain tries its best, to rob me of laughter and smiling each day. Anyway... I hope, that you guy's from 4WD/24/7 see this comment. And haven't minded, about the length of my comment 😉 😁 !!!!!! Melinda ~ From - The Southern Tablelands, in NSW ~
Words cannot describe how much that means to us Melinda! Thank you so much for your support - we hope to continue to bring you the best videos we can! 🙌🏻
Hi 🙂 👋 Thank you for seeing, and for taking the time to read my comment 😁 Your very welcome. I meant, everything that I wrote. It took me a while to write it last night, but it did come from my heart. And I think people should know. Whenever you appreciate and are grateful, for something from other's that you enjoyed. I am glad now, that I took my time to write it to you 😌 Thanks again (And I don't mind, if you send this on to everyone involved in your team. As a way for them to know, that what you produce on this Channel is worthwhile). Melinda 😊 ~
P.S. The country you are showing here, reminds me of my childhood / and teenage years. Of watching my favourite outback Explorer, at the time. Being the late and humble, Malcolm Douglas. I would always look forward, to when I saw his next trip being advertised in the TV commercials. He had an obvious passion, for Australia, for our wildlife, and for our fauna. He showed me, and he educated me. About things, I had never learnt about our country at school. I was very shocked and saddened, when I heard of his tragic accident. I connected with him, moreso than the late Steve Irwin. Malcolm seemed, a quiet man. And the simple and free pleasures in life, seemed to be enough to forfill and to content him. I would have loved, to have tagged along with him. Or visited his wildlife park, whilst he still owned and operated it. So... Thank you, Malcolm Douglas. I think the Kimberley, is where his heart and soul are truly anchored ⚓️ Hope you didn't mind me, talking about the late Malcolm Douglas. An Explorer and an Educator, to many generations of Australian's.
@16:14 made me realize how many good shots you have to select from each trip. It was just a glimpse in the episode but oh!! Is beautiful! Amazing photography too! Each time! Thanks from Mexico!
Good luck shauno with the radiator brotha. I always carry a package of jb weld putty with me. Has patched many a radiator to get me where I need to go and has lasted way longer than needed in some instances. Love all the videos. I'm in the US and can't get enough of every video. ❤
Just a tip: try to avoid your chainsaw chain touching the dirt as you're cutting, because it makes it super dull very quickly, which makes all your later cuts far slower
Shauno, for your 1st aid kit I recommend some Stop The Bleed kit like Combat Application Tourniquets (staged correctly). Israeli Bandages, Celox wound packing, chest seals etc. Both in the Aid bag and as an IFAK. (If you chainsaw your leg, you ain't running back to Sooty for the CAT very easily!). Some Sam Splints, Strapping Tape, Trauma Sheers and survival blankets wouldn't go amiss too.
I was about to ask the same thing, NZ has amazing scenery camping and 4x4ing. Graham would also have a chance to do some bow hunting if he remembers how to do it.😅
New Beaut series fellas. Watching this channel has inspired me to finally get that old 75 series single cab cruiser we have rotting in the back paddock a new life! Rippa builds as always, and happy wheeling!
Love watching you guys! We have had this issue in the US when a RAD breaks. We bring liquid weld, JB weld, and even denture adhesive. There is also a great product that seals leaks in pools under pressure and water. Whenever we break something on the trail, the next trip we have the tools to fix it. You guys are AWESOME! :)
BTW I have an '04 GX470 (Prado) and a '97 Land Cruiser (Petrol) tripple locked from the factory. Would LOVE to run with you guys when/if you come to the US!
Great stuff as always. To answer the question at 14:30... I'd have a strap already on the back connected to a friend or anchor and go really slow at first to test it with the vehicle. I don't want to get eaten on a 4x4 trip.
i surprised you dont have a premier power welder installed on one of the rigs. its a legit high-frequency welder you install in your truck. you can buy a spool gun to run it as a mig, or just run it as stick/arc welder.. ive watched rory @ trail mater on youtube weld several jeeps/trucks out in the middle of nowhere with it an get them back to the paved road. having a real legit welder on board would solve lots of trail fixes instead of junk straps an prayers .
@@senditkevinI was also wondering if this was a thing but am Aussie, definitely not a common thing to need here with all the ways you can bush mechanics it 🤣

You guys are wiiild and crazy! I love it! As always, the video is great and amazing, and thanks to the film crew for all their hard work in putting together a quality show like all the others we have on the channel. I'm having a hard time being patient every time for the next one. It's also great to have Shawno and Graham back for a roadtrip like this! Don't give up, folks! Cheers! 🍻
Awesome video as always 4WD 24/7 Crew. This has been one epic adventure can’t wait to see how y’all make it out next episode. Also this question is for Shauno and Graham I’m in the market for a swag and stretcher to take in my 4WD what brand and company would y’all recommend for my first Swag? Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Hello from Brazil, I'm a 4wheller in BR, my brother lives in AU... great video, kudos to everyone such a nice content! You shoul try something in south america like a patagonia trip, there are some amazing places to go there

I'm in NZ. So I could have watched earlier, but didnt see it drop. I'm off to sleep, but will watch first thing in the morning - in bed, with a hot cuppa 👍🏼
I feel for ya Ronnie. As a Newfoundlander, we had our share of resettlements and plenty of old ghost towns that no longer exist in many outport harbors and off shore islands.
I know your pain Shauno I blew the radiator and cooked the motor in my 1986 corona so now I own a 2003 Nissan Xtrail.Looking forward to the next episode to see how you fix your radiator.
One of the best spares I have had over the years is not a new bolt/nut kit from bunnings etc, but a tray of all the bolts/nuts from patrols and landcruiser 4x4s collected from wreckers. I have spares of almost every, if not every, important bolt/nut on the rig.
keen for the next one. great story telling and adventure, really enjoying these style of videos, seems like its back to the original style from way back. Less fluff and all the good bits
Pro-tip. Hook up a winch line with lots of slack to the rear of your vehicle before driving off into the bog hole. Saves a lot of time if needed, and does no harm if not needed.
Great series yet again guys. Enjoyed watching your antics for a couple of years. Regretting the day I sold my 93 Hilux Surf/ Forerunner. I'm wondering though, on long trips like this, how much water do you actually carry? As you're always crossing rivers, don't you carry filter systems and stock up daily with enough for a day or two? For under 100 dollars, these filters will do 500,000 litres.??
Hi Guys, love your videos. When you get a breakdown, if you need to weld something, get 2 or 3 batteries, connected in SERIES, ie, positive to negative, etc, to give you 24 or 36 volts, (use jumper leads) and then you can weld (helps if you have some welding electrodes on board) broken components to get you going. I had to use this system to get my Subaru 4WD wagon going again on Cape York track back in the 80's. I made it home. Hope this info gives you another option on your travels.
One of these days, I'd love to ship my 4x4 to Australia and get going on this track. By then, I'll be solid axle swapped and maybe even diesel swapped, dual locked, and hopefully 35 inch tires.
I stupidly didn't tie off my fan during deep crossing at Gunshot and drove the fan through the back of the radiator in my 80 Series. Didn't notice it till I could smell a really hot engine at Cockatoo Ck. Luckily it only added three days onto the trip to drive to Bamaga and get a new radiator flown in from Cairns. I say lucky because if had been a Friday afternoon, then I wouldn't be able to even order the part till Monday. When remote, it pays to take things slow and careful, real careful.
With all of the spare tires and patch kits that you bring on big adventures like traversing the Kimberly, have you looked into low temperature vulcanization repair kits? This material is used on even large sidewall damage in the American rock buggy racing series. They shred their tires fairly often, take them home after the event, patch them and hit the next event at wide open throttle again. This is Not a highway patch system, but would definitely keep you moving deep in the bush! Love the videos guys!
Guys.......500mm or more of various sizes of HIGH TENSILE threaded rod, and nuts to suit. Cheap, PRICELESS spare. Also, an A frame of steel tube, to lift the winch cable
Radiator problem. Try to seal off the leaking tubes with a pair of needle none pliers, before using a soldering iron to finish off the job. If you think that the repair is not perfect, leave the radiator cap unsealed, to reduce the pressure. Hope this helps. I have used this in the past, but not always with diesels, sometimes with my modified petrol engine vehicles.
Guys, I don’t know if you have banger car racing in Oz but in the UK 🇬🇧 we do and what these boys do to stop the other car from tearing their tyre sidewalls is they cut a side wall off of an old tyre which they fit this on the outside of the tyre to eliminate a wall tear. I’m not saying it’s the answer to your prayers but if you did this to both sides of each tyre then just perhaps it might save you a lot of spare overall. Just a suggestion that’s all. Thanks for all your amazing videos 👍
Hey Shauno... I don't know how big your hole in the radiator is... BUT if it's moderate to small, I've used egg whites and pepper .. hand full of pepper with a couple egg whites.. dump it in (while hot is better) and the pepper and egg white mixture finds the hole and seals it ... Temporarily but I've actually had it "cure the leak"

Onboard welder would be a good upgrade.
One of these days, I'd love to ship my 4x4 to Australia and get going on this track. By then, I'll be solid axle swapped and maybe even diesel swapped, dual locked, and hopefully 35 inch tires.
Excellent mini-series.
2 weeks Ive been waiting for this! I can sleep better now cheers!!
I'm that carrier of stuff that noone think but it always comes in handy 👍🙃
Fantastic stuff, Boy's. ♥
Guys.......500mm or more of various sizes of HIGH TENSILE threaded rod, and nuts to suit. Cheap, PRICELESS spare. Also, an A frame of steel tube, to lift the winch cable
I have been waiting for this next episode. I love it! Greetings from Switzerland
G'day mate! Glad you enjoyed the ep 🙌🏻
Would like to see a big mog or iveco daily in the crew for these trail opening trips 🙌
Epic cant wait for episode 3
Crop circle mystery solved ... 17:13 ...
Yehh Da Boiz lessssssgo lads 💪🏽🤙🏽
