Hey John! Thanks for making all the tips with band vids! I’ve been following you for awhile now, even more so since the quarantine. I’ve been desperate since my gym clubs have closed. I was working out at a neighborhood park with a calisthenic gym shortly after until they closed that too. I’ve had no other choice than working out at home. No access to weights, so I bought a pull up bar and bought some bands because of you. Don’t want to lose gains and you’ve been a lifesaver! Thank you from San Diego where they closed the beach again!
Hi john found your channel this morning. Very impressed with your band videos and think it's great you have your family make appearances... Ps...you have some awesome t-shirts. Anybody that has a Mister Rogers t-shirt is A-OK in my book
Hey how often per week can we do these 7 band chest exercises?
We miss you john
Still hard to believe this great man is no longer with us 🙏🏼❤️
He isnt dead tho? Hes still making videos
@@Belliferous He passed about a year and a half ago. The newer videos on the channel were taped before he passed
How did he die ? How old was he? I had no idea
BODYBUILDING star John Meadows has died "unexpectedly" at the age of 49. Meadows, a professional bodybuilder and trailer based in Ohio died "peacefully" at home on Sunday, according to people close to the situation. The weight lifting superstar reportedly died of a pulmonary embolism, according to Fitness Volt.
agreed at 49
I cant believe your gone heard of your passing, started watching your videos and I instantly got hooked such a great motivator may you rest in piece.
Turns on captions- “all right higher body”
chayan joshi Lmfaoo that was great

When coach greg yells at me to train harder and then john meadows shows all these phenomenal band exercises while nicely telling to train harder...I'm actually gaining muscle this quarantine
Classic good cop - bad cop routine.
gota love coach greg
Love these older videos , sucks he’s gone now. Crazy how quick things can change.
Mechanical drop sets is a quality tip... Thanks for that
*I don't know why, but I always associate John Meadowss' videos with a sunny morning.*
John that beard suits you brother, embrace it!
and the hair,suits john.
I agree, kinda gives him that "Mountain Dog" look even more!
Thanks John you have been a great help. I like working bands
Just did 3 sets of 20 each on this and now I will look for some bicep resistance band workouts from the mountain dog himself. One of the most knowledgeable and humble fitness personalities out there. Thanks for imparting some of your wisdom onto us! It is much appreciated!
Definetely i want to see some back exercises, you're so creative so i think we can learn a ton of ways to hit it! 💪
He's done some back ones already, check his channel 💪💪
Don't mind me.
0:51 Banded pushups
2:45 Incline Press
4:08 Cross body Press

Now that the gyms are back open, these band routines really help to accentuate my workouts and prevent injury.
Thank you John! Bands are excellent for additional resistance. And also are very practical
Sweet I can combine these with the Athlean X stuff to make some great chest workout. All this is so much more fun then endurance sports, right now at least. Thank you sir.

Pigmy goat vs Mountain Dog, no problem! :)
Just In Time.. worked this for my today's chest schedule..3 a pop each.. ohh my pecs are sore !! Thanks John, for making this quarantine a gaining time.
Need now Back exercises. Really appreciate it

Just what i needed for today!!

Great video John!
Awesome video for band exercises!!
Thanks John! Between using bands more frequently and your suggestions, I’ve seen good progress despite being in lockdown. I appreciate your experience and your willingness to share it!
Thanks John God bless you
Appreciate that man
Keep it up!
thank u john!
Thankyou it goes a long way you explain it well😁, your cool, calm, and collective, in your mind. I did mountain biking years ago, absolutely loved it I felt the same way, when I lost everything my friend said come to the gym. Tony the boxer helped me out, he showed me not to give up, now I mix gym and mountain biking, I’m doing 15-30 miles plus per day and I feel better for it. I like it when it is explained for real, also liked the comments about the wind, it made me laugh 😂 your a top guy bud. Cool bro😎 as far as life goes so let’s live it 😁. Time is all we got left🤔 and love for each other👌🌈⭐️💫
Nice pump thanks!!
You are among the most generous youtubers. I really appreciate it.
Amazing tips! Bands are great to stimulate every movement. Thanks John 💪

These workouts are absolute lifesavers during this time! Thank you.
Would be awesome to have a progression on the workouts!
killing it big man
Always great coaching on every video! Thank you sir!#MountaindogPower!
Excellent workout Sir
hey John, i literally watch your videos for your optimism and positivity you have on life, and your willingness to help people
thank you!
Great stuff as always. In regard to mechanical drop sets with bands- this is such a versatile way to go beyond traditional ‘failure’. For myself , my favourite variation so far has been to start with a lesser angled ‘Dorian Yates’ style bent over row, then when maxed out, hinge further at the hips in to a more ‘Meadows’ bent over row, where the base tension reduces and I get an extra 4 or 5 reps. 4 sets of that and your lats are BLOWN.
Great stuff. I’ve been doing a few of these moves so glad to know I’m on the right track lol.
You are the best UA-camr
This is DOPE!
Just done this and since the beginning of lockdown in the uk it is by far the best I've done
Another awesome video John, thank you! I've been doing those banded press ups with a thick green band, brutal! I'd call that last exercise the incline front flye :). Have a great day.
Cool video!
And here comes my chest routine for today. Thank you John for being so amazing and generous
You're so welcome!
Great content brother, I’ve been a trainer about 30 years so I switched to band personally years ago and my clients over the last 10/15 years. The sixth exercise you perform is literally my favorite chest exercises to perform with the band the standing chess press works your core which is stability a lot of stabilizing muscle I love it. Big fan of your series and you are like me and very simplified to my clients which muscle group that workingAnd not try to confuse them with medical term for the muscle groups Ha
Hi John the banded chest exercises was just what I was looking for.Terrific! Thanks so much. Jim Harrison.Cheshire UK.
That quarantine beard is looking great John, you should consider keeping it! Thanks for this video, finding chest the hardest part to work at home so this is perfect!
Yeah, need the gym to do my press-ups too
"The wind is optional, you don't need the wind like we have." Hihihi!!! Great video!
Loved the workout!! Have been using bands,a barbell with minimal weight and few db at home since this quarantine. Surprisingly I get a really good/hard workout with minimal things. Thanks again for posting this 👍👍🇺🇸
Awesome variations John! thanks for those !!!!!
Glad you like them!
@@mountaindog1 amazing tools for our time at home, kind regards!
Thank you very much this quarantine ain't gonna be an excuse to get lazy.
Great advice as usual. I hope to meet you one day.
Hey John - another great resistance band training video!! Thank you. Btw, I want to also suggest to the rest of the mountain dog pack that if you find the resistance bands are tearing up your hands a bit, try using them with those fat gripz. The fat gripz are normally used to increase the dumbbell or barbell diameter which improves forearm grip strength but they also work with these bands too. Plus if anyone needs help anchoring these bands around in their home or apartment and they don’t have poles or columns to wrap around to look at purchasing a simple door frame carabiner anchor. It can easily be wedged around any normal door frame. Just thought I would share those equipment product tips to help out the pack. Take care and stay well.
Yess please for other muscle group with band
This is how real Jedi's train
Wow my chest is pump ,thanks to you my friend :)
Doing dips, I went from zero extra weight to +18 kg 5x5 in stones in 2 months, pretty fun to do
Good work John.. Cant wait to try out this combo.. Chest definitely hardest to stimulate with bands.. Also does that T-Shirt describe working out with bands compared to a gym session 😂...Also thanks for the laughs in todays show.. 🐐👊🐐
like this, gonna get some bands 10/10
Great video. No superhero t on thou 😆
Hope everyone is well & keep safe
Hi John,
I'm a new subscriber and I love your videos! Could you do a video for band exercises for abs (if possible).
Cheers,
Billy
Liked!
Thanks!
@@mountaindog1 I see a future band program. Hook me up with a discount when it comes out 🤣
Just going to pick 4 in an order to where I finish up with a nice “stretch” to pump the blood. Sipping on premium what a timing John.
thank you!
What about my right pec?
Need to see the second half lower body. Thx 😊 Pick ergonomic and efficient design.
Great video John! New bro science says pressing against the wind guarantees the biggest pump of your life...haha
:)
Great video as always. Any thoughts on bands after few weeks of relying mostly on them in term of preserving/growing muscles?
Thanks John...I love your shirt 😂
Get well soon brother. Lots of love ❤ from 🇮🇳india
Thanks Jhon for the awesome content! Why don't you do maybe some dumbell workouts? I think it would be great for a lot of us expecially because a lot of people only like me have only those at home.
Greetings from Italy, keep up the good work and content!

He has a whole playlist for it bro
I use the bands in the hallway upstairs 2 doors on each side.
Making gym equipment in Maya to see what I need to buy. I'm Minnesota we could still go to manards and I work at a Walmart
When I get their I pass the weights all out when I leave I pass them again if theirs weight I buy some not all leave some for others. 2 more 25s or 10s would be enough.
Had to buy pipe for bars and the ends you can screw on couplings and hose clamps keep the weights from slideing into your hands
Thank you for you posts. They are helpful and informative. Have you thought about creating a banded workout split exercise videos(i.e chest/triceps, back/biceps etc,.)?
already did!
I missed those. I have to go back and check. Thanks.
do fly with push up. when u come to a full plank have your band on one for your arm and do the fly while in full plank and then go down and do the push up and just repeat that. it’s amazing
I'm glad my gym reopened on Monday
Lil Trump please do a set for the boys
@@brandonsanger9413 I will
Yah buddy!!!!
Love all your videos man. The beard looks hot by the way!
Nooo, I did chest/shoulders yesterday... Pocket this for next time
I wonder why I'm not getting your notifications? I checked and I'm a subscriber.
Hope you and your family are well. Thanks again for the tips, informative as always! P.s. did anyone tell you that you looked like a jacked oldman Logan with the beard? Total badass!
Not yet!
Since shutdown (still no gyms open here int he UK) ive been loving the across the chest press thing (ive just been calling it a side press) the tension and pump on my pecs is insane, it almost feels like the pecs are gonna peel right off the tendons and rip through the skin lol
hi john congratulation, you are the tallest guy i have ever see in my whole life. Grumpy's style
I was doin some of those machine presses last night and snapped the back of my neck! Little twist in the band did the trick. Hah. Anyways, great videos man thanks for what you do!
Oh no!
R.I.P
Thanks for the sharing your videos, i wanted to ask about your recommendations for the forearms?
Maybe you already shared video about forearms but I just still haven't watched all of them. Thanks anyway. Cheers
You gotta get that forearm game up
its hard when you get older, and then when gyms shut down
I would suggest using planchettes or some kind of block on pushups. This will give more range of motion and make it a lot harder. I actually did that yesterday because I was away from my garage gym lol
High john i use your workouts all the time and you u have best advice i have asked this question to some people with no answer what use like to know is how would i sign up for amature bodybuilding competition I love in Ontario. Can u help me out full support and thank u for these vids I would be lost with out these truly full support
RIP John
Hey man. Can you do all the muscle group exercises with resistance bands. You really know your stuff and this is very helpful.
Yeah .. all muscle groups can be hit with the bands.. check his channel he has more band workouts for all groups.
Hope you get better soon
Hi John and thank you again. When doing presses standing or push ups with the bands, does it matter how you anchor the band on your hand? I notice you have the band around the thumbs, and I’ve also seen it anchored in the palm. I’ve done both, and not sure if it matters. If I use the thick gray band I anchor in my palm. Just curious what your take is on this. Thanks coach, keep the hair and beard growing...looking good and healthy!!! 💪
whatever is most comfortable!
miss you man . . . .
