Thank you for making an easy step simple DIY instructional video, I have found your video to be one of the best ones for a newbie like me to follow. Good, easy to understand video. I use this for my 14 Liter Nano Tank. A very cheap and effective method to produce CO2. I don`t have a diffusor like your`s, I use an airstone hanging free in the tank. At day, when more CO2 is needed for my plants, I hang it down to the bottom of the tank. In the night, when no CO2 is needed, I lift the airstone to the water surface. So I don`t need to take the tube away every time.

    2. I tried using 2 bottles using a t-connector to generate Co2, but coz of the possible pressure difference, the co2 was getting generated from only 1 bottle... whats the solution to that?

    I want to say first and foremost thank you so much for the video. I’ve watched tons and yours is by far the best! I want to make sure I’ve done this correctly. I’ve had it set up for a couple hours now and I’m seeing bubbles in the bottle with water in it (no bubbles are forming in the diffuser 😕). But only 1 bubble every 21 seconds. I’ve checked for leaks and I don’t have any. Does it need more time to build up co2? Or should I make the yeast water again with more yeast? I halved the amount of each ingredient because the bottle I have is not large enough.

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  2 роки тому

      Yes, it will take more time for the pressure to build up and then the diffuser will work. You don’t have to make the yeast-water again, just add more yeast to the solution, CO2 production will increase. For more information, please see the video description. Thank you.

    Hey Kaushik!
    You're doing an amazing job. And I totally agree that this channel deserves many more followers. I've been toying with the idea of DIY Carbon kit for my 77 litre tank. And I'm definitely up for trying your method, which btw is so cool and thoughtful. I just have one question though, can I attach the CO2 outlet to my existing power head filter, which I also use for O2, at the same time? Like there's O2 and CO2 being dispersed into the aquarium by the same power head.

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you. I request you to watch my DIY CO2 diffuser video. There I showed how to use a power filter to diffuse CO2 gas in a planted aquarium.

    • @madebykm

      And when you use CO2 (when the lights are ON) you don't have to inject / disperse air into the aquarium. CO2 is not required at night or when the lights are off. At that time you can disperse air through a power filter or use an air pump / air stone.

    Thanks so much for your video, it helps me a lot.
    1. How long (in hour) would you recommend the Agar-agar turns to jelly before i can put the yeast inside?
    2. I've waited for 1 day, but the diffuser still didn't produce co2, whether glass or ceramic diffuser. Is this normal?

    Thank you so much. I followed it step by step. Co2 is getting generated but what ever I have done so far, the gas is not passing through the diffuser. It is passing through all other makeshift bubbling tubes but not the diffuser. Can you help please

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  14 днів тому

      First, check if the CO2 system has any leaks. For this, you need to entirely submerge the CO2 system (with the CO2 diffuser attached to the system) in a bucket of water. If you see bubbles coming out of any joints, there is a leak, and you need to fix it accordingly.
      But if you find that there are no leaks in the system, wait a few hours as these CO2 diffusers need some pressure to work. When enough pressure builds up in the bottle, the diffuser will work.

      Hey, I live in Canada and it's much harder to find Agar Agar powder here and it's way more expensive than Gelatin powder. I do have fairly cooler temperatures in my house (well below 25°C). Can I go ahead and use the same measurements and the recipe as with Agar Agar powder? Thank you! 🙏🏽

      Ok, then proceed with the unflavoured gelatin. And if you want to use gelatin-based jelly crystals powder (e.g. Jell-O), please follow my other DIY CO2 video.

    One thing I noticed, in my experiences, is hot glue can sometimes fall apart when exposed to humidity for prolonged amounts of time, such as a DIY CO2 system… just saying. It may work for some people, and it is very useful for many things, but when water is involved it can become disintegrated or corroded, possibly causing a leak in the system. But I would just stick with the waterproof silicone to avoid that. 😀

    Thanks for this great info. My ramirezi try to eat the bubbles of CO2 from the difusser, is not harmful to the fish? 👍

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  2 роки тому +1

      No, it’s not harmful at all. Fish sometimes play with the bubbles, they do the same in my aquarium also.

    Really precise and clear video. I am right now cooling that hot sugar syrup and underestimated the time. I hope this works. Any idea if the typical diffuser can be used or i need a good airstone ?

    Hi Kaushik, Thank you for sharing such great videos. I made a CO2 reactor using the yeast and sugar method but whenever I try to bring the water pipe to the bottom of the tank the bubbles stop and CO2 stops. Also, the pressure is too less. Please help

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  Рік тому +2

      You can use 1/2 teaspoon yeast instead of 1/4 teaspoon to produce more CO2 and increase pressure. Also, place the diffuser in a specific place inside the tank. When enough pressure is created, it will work perfectly. Also check the description box for more information. Thanks.

    Thank You very much for this Video..
    I have one question. how much time we need to run this co2 in 20 Gallon Aquarium with full plants ?
    If I run CO2 for 12 hours will my fish die ?

    • @madebykm
      @madebykm  10 місяців тому

      CO2 must be supplied as long as the light is on. Even if you run this DIY CO2 24/7 there will be no problem. Just run an air pump at night to keep the oxygen level in the aquarium water high.
