Bonnie, I made your Mandalay Afghan by following your videos. I used shades of grays, ivory and claret. This was a gift for my brother and he had mentioned those particular colors. Anyway, this woven stitch was his favorite detail but I was proud of the celtic weave stitch which turned out to be my fav. Thank you for tutorial videos, I love them.

Yay!!! This is a weird new stitch, but I love the texture it produces. So glad this is working for you!

Hi, Bonnie. I am a touch confused as to how the mechanics of the stitch work, when we are doing a new row, do you insert it into what would technically be the top loops, even though it is the Space between two stitches, or do you insert your hook into the smaller space created in the first half of the stitch?

It is literally in the space between the two woven stitches.

What is your starting chain count for this stitch. I did work it, but forgot to chain 2.

You can use any multiple of 2, plus 2 for the turning chain.

Is there a written pattern for the woven stitch?

Look up the video for Mandalay Celtic Throw on you tube. The written transcript is under the title on UA-cam.

More help needed for reversing on corners plz? I've frogged it 4 times now. The stitch is not the issue for me, turning on the corner is. It looks too thick, its uneven & hard to get the count correct. I've watched the Mandalay video 8 or 9 times. The fingers or hook cover the stitching on the corners especially.

The written pattern is also available with stitch counts. If you need a specific round just let me know.
