    ❤️MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS👇🏾
#1 WHO IS THE BUSH FAMILY?
►We are Marek (dad now) and Kothney-Issa (mom now) Bush, a millennial couple that paid off $125,000 worth of debt -- becoming 100% DEBT FREE by age 27! Now, two years later at 29, we are mom and dad to baby Zalayah! We sold the Tiny House you came to know us in and now we're in our first traditional home as a family!
#2 HOW DID YOU MEET? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED?
►We met (and dated!) in the 7th Grade at Lincoln Middle School in Kansas City, Missouri in 2007. We tied the knot in 2014 and are now in our 7th year of marriage!
#3 SO NO MORE TINY HOUSE? WHAT'S NEXT?
►Even though we are no longer personally living Tiny, we are far from done investing in the Tiny House movement! There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes -- stay tuned for some big updates! In the meantime, you'll see our regular family friendly content on Saturday's at 11:00a CST!

I live in Louisiana, when we have a freeze coming, they tell us to let our faucets drip or trickle. For some scientific reason, it keeps our pipes from freezing! Sorry this happened to y'all!

Just FYI - It's because water comes to your house in underground pipes. Underground it's always about 50 degrees. Dripping your faucets constantly brings a little of that warmer water into your above-ground house pipes.

It can also relieve pressure if your pipes do end up still freezing to keep them from busting.

To prevent your pipes from freezing again, keep a small trickle of water running in the sink, when temps are below freezing. Moving water doesn't freeze. Hope this helps you. Congrats on the pregnancy, we're rooting for you guys.

I used to live in Alaska, where we lived in a duplex that had a crawl space that was open air, much like your tiny house underneath it. We would always leave the water trickling in all of the sinks as it is harder to freeze moving water. This is one of the reasons why rivers hardly ever freeze, even if the lakes they are connected to are already frozen. If you have a flushable toilet, I recommend flushing it a couple times a night too.

I'm Haitian and couldn't live anywhere in the US but South Florida. Guys, you won't understand, my body just can't take the cold at all, after a lifetime in the Caribbean. I'm fresh like a rose in 95 degrees while everyone is sweating, and crawling under a bed the minute it gets below 70. I'm happy you guys are safe. 🥰🥰🥰
Edit: I commented before the "scare part". Ko, now is the time to take those garlic pills. I am not a pill person, but double down on the garlic in your food and ask your mom for garlic tea. I don't know if you'll find soursoup (kowosòl), fruit and leaves. Eat the fruit or make a smoothie with it, hang the leaves in your home. Papaya leaves in your bath water.
I'm sorry to go all Haitian Auntie on you but we want you to stay healthy and deliver safely.

@@the_bush_family it's in a residential neighborhood so power and water shouldn't be a problem. Just gotta see if it's zoned to allow a tiny home but I doubt it'll be a problem. Just tossing that up too 😂

I live in Texas and live in a house build in 1929, up off the ground, walls are insulated, except for us remodeling the living room, which we blocked off with 5 blankets, but we always skirt around the house in the winter regardless. We got down to 11 degrees, no lights in an all electric house, because of rolling blackouts from one area to another... contaminated water for 4 days, thank God for bottle water, we bathed in pans, oh and we always used the pipe insulation that fits over the pipes not insulation tape. We n ever have leaks, because of skirting as well. Praying all is well, be blessed.

The level of detail you have provided for others regarding your frozen pipe issue is invaluable! Going through something like this is traumatic. Seeing how you managed and eventually figured out the problem is going to be a great resource for others. I don't live in a tiny house, but thank you for what you do.

You have really insulated your home quite well and will no longer have these problems once the weather has stabilized. In the meantime, Praying so hard for you both and the new baby. I am so happy you found and were able to fix the problem. Yeah and Praise the Lord!!! Remember, EVERY trial teaches us something. Going through the trial is never fun (I repeat...never fun and down right frustrating), but the lesson learned is priceless! Now that you have gone through this, you are able to share your knowledge on weather preparation with the new homeowners on your upcoming estate. You can give first hand knowledge and wisdom because of the trial you went though. You never know...you may even create/invent something that prevents this from happening in the future (seriously consider that if you haven’t). Mark my word...you will use this experience in the future. That’s just how GOOD God is! Continue to be a blessing and be blessed.☺️

The heat tape is supposed to go around styrofoam installation, wrap the pipes first then tape. Also spray some foam around your exhaust pipes near the wall. Those tiny cracks matter. Also fiberglass insulation on the door and floor of the water heater compartment it’s naturally fire resistant. Congratulations on the baby what a beautiful blessing!

You have to wrap your pipes in foam they make foam for pipes at Home Depot and then put the insulation on top of that I lived in New York all my life and pipes were constantly burst until we put the foam around the pipes
