I really hate getting older! The great times I had when I was young are in my past now, so now i hold on to yesterday!
I hear ya brother!
Me too age is just a number that’s what my granny use to say
@@melissadavis225 Thank you! Now I can listen to it again!
@@davidregan9872 : Thats the one good thing about the commentary it brings you back for another round!
I have this problem of being constantly stuck in the present.
It was a magical time. I wouldn't trade being young back then for 10,000 todays....
Ambrosia is one of the most underrated band in history!!! Their a truly a super band!!! Love it!!!
Who underrated them?
True ....... as well as The Hollies. I still miss David Pak as the lead singer in Ambrosia.
Another lame remark about underrated. Is that ytube sickness?
@@axetu I can only speak for myself.
When I hear the term, I take it to mean that they think someone is so good, people should mention them more often than they do.
In other words, I think it's meant as a compliment.
Thats my definition.
Maybe it's come to have a more generic meaning. And, others mean something else.
I do think it's usually meant in a positive connotation.
@@EdwardKrzynowek-fx5toI think you are probably right, and seem like a positive person yourself. Thanks for your comment.
40+yrs later, still kickin' it!
Pack and Puerta were, and ARE, incredible vocalists.
Timeless music that never gets old - wish we had that talent and creativity now .
All Time FAVORITE Smooth Rock song.
It's Not even Close!
Sound is So Good it could be taken for a Studio Cut!!!
Fantastic!!!
Thanks with all my heart. You made me smile, & cry at the same time. One of the most beautiful ever sung.
Whoa....their vocals are still right on it. Gorgeous. 😘
Joe is such a great bass man.
This is musical talent! I’m on an Ambrosia journey today, Saturday before Easter 2023. Take a listen to this song live in the Capitol Theatre 1976 and you’ll be able to appreciate the immense talent. Still killing it after 40 years!
Joe's voice is STILL amazing!! Love these guys!!
Love this song
How could you not love this song ????
This song haunts me.....remembering the beautiful girl I loved for awhile at Bama.
Ars
I know... memories can put you back in those awesome feelings and rejuvenate you*** 😎😜😎
Amazing! Done perfectly in original key!
I'm glad to have seen them in the late seventies. I'd love to see them again. Come play at the restored Colony theatre in Marietta, Ohio.
I flipping love this!! Absolutely phenomenal beautiful fantabulous ⚡️⚡️
Thank you so much!!
dude is magical, on the Strat! Awesome Performance!!
OMG, I love this band.
Amazing! One of my favorites!
Grew up listening to older sister's album. nothing at all wrong, with this. Tight players, for sure!!
Thanks for the newest version of the greatest song of all time.
Man that was awesome .
They sound sooo good!!! I love this song so very much!
Beautiful song.
Great song. Brings back so many memories
Not the same without David there singing this song. :-(. Such an amazing band back in the 70’s n 80’s. Super underrated. My dad has reel 2 reel video of them when he went to see them in 1976 I believe. Made me a huge fan of these guys and Toto as well. Another underrated band. Good stuff. THIS was soulful music.
Toto was a great group. I still have their 1st album "TOTO", send back to the late 70s, single and long hair.
wow, real talent shows through. they are the real thing
The video is ruined with all the double exposures etc... just show it as it is... The magic is the music...
good grief this b fkn brilliance!
Fantastic ❤🤘🙌🙌🙌👏👏
the drums are made in Brazil, an RMV !!!
Miss David. Still like the song. Oh the memories.
This an important thread in the tapestry of our lives...
Amazing job!!
If angels could sing
good music really doesn't matter who is playing
Aced the exam!
I've been trying to find some clue to see your name posted in this place, I know you still love this song the same way I still do, it will be nothing near to imposible to know how many tears have been wasted away listening to this song, somebody told me you were living at El Paso. You are unforgettable for so many years, Monterrey was the magic city with it's mountains, were our love have grown and will be remembered for so many years, forgive my english nothing near from perfect, but I know you'll understand, How you feel when John Denit Lennon was murdered and he didn't died like this song's still in the heart of so many people HOLDING ON TO YESTERDAY.....S ome A ngelical M orning A ngel, still dwell in my head. God Bless You.
That Alembic bass!
16 years old sitting by the pool. Long summer nights, girls by the dozens
Just plain old school bad asses.
It's not really Ambrosia without David Pack.....now is it ??
To David,rest in peace love
shirley hauck David who?
@@Coowallsky he was a love of mine when I was a teen. He was a singer in a band and he sang the heck out of this son. He passed a few years back , too young!
@@lovergirl1960 My sympathies to you. 😥
Damnit Boy
They sound really good, but I still need the voice of David Peck to complete the sound!
Where was this shot?
Huntington Beach Library theater
Who knew Tank Abbott could play guitar like that?
They need to try to make new songs like this one today
I do
No kiddin, God I miss real music!
I’m there. Not here.
Goodness! The memories this song invokes are almost too powerful to manage. For some reason, UA-cam's algorithm gave me this and I am so thankful for it! I have not heard this in a long, LONG time. I am so happy to have lived during the 70's. This music was pure magic.
Thanks for your review..it was a great show, LIVE, in that intimate theater 🎭
So true. Simply wonderful music!
Gorgeous
I have the actual record.....and the record player to play it!!!! It still keeps my heart..
As it did in the 70s.......
Totally agree. So nostolgic!
Joe Puerta, hitting those notes at his age?? Seriously good.
Amazing musician, vocalist...he is timeless as is Ambrosia...
David pack doesn't do too bad at his age either.
@@Keyboardman88 too true.
@@Keyboardman88 that's not David Pack. Look him up on UA-cam. He still has an amazing voice after all these years. You will remember his unique voice when you look him up.
@@lolozow3533 I think he knows that. Was just pointing out his voice still sounds great as well.
Let me go back to the 70's, most of today’s music will never acquire the same quality. Great job Diane.
So glad I lived in those times we had no idea how great it was 😀❤️
I'd go back to the 70's in a blink of an eye! Unless you lived it, you can't understand it! I know so many bands are great and they do a great job taking us back, but I sure miss those actual days! They were the so full of great rock and the best times ever!! Thanks for taking us back!!
God Bless and stay safe 🙏💕
You're so right I wish I hadn't wasted that time with just messing around and not really listening but this song gave me a great appreciation for love songs.
Right there with you Debbie :) !!!
yep, those were the days but not having anyone left me fulfilling my life with work and motorcycles
Naahhh... I like gettin old...movin on!!!!🛵🚲🚑
We didn't realize how good it was. I would like to listen to this song while cruising in a late 70s Trans Am.
It's amazing how good Joe's voice is after pelting out tunes for over 40 years!
absolutely brilliant and heart wrenching
It's great seeing 3/4 of the original band still together. Joe Puerta, Burleigh Drummond, and Brother Christopher North keeping the music alive. Wish David Pack would rejoin them. That would be incredible.
My favorite Ambrosia song. Nice job Joe!
There’s a lot more that are much better
Without David Pack, Give Joe Props for the lead singing.........He was a great singer in his own right...I think THis sound pretty damn good!
If you want to be cordial, sure, he can hit Pack's notes, but he's no David...no one can fill in for him.
modspell , it seems off without Pack.
modspell Pack is no Puerta.
definitely, you can tell that from the backing vocals on the original tracks.
...i think so too. Joe Puerta Is great.
Just turned 70last week and they still sound as they did in the 70s
Love this band SOUNDS GREAT Joe's Voice OMG
The guitar intro is amazing. Chris is awesome as always. Excellent live version.
I keep thinking that I’m lonely but it’s only missing you inside probably one of the most iconic lines ever written. Amazing
I agree!
Heavy...😢
So true. All these words hit me a different way since my husband of 40 years passed a few days ago. Days when we were once together seems well never come alive. Forever isn't long enough & 40 was to short ❣️
Good lord goosebumps all over. I'm back in the 70's. THank you!
I just recently discovered this song last month I think I've played it about 40 times I play it in my car going down the road over and over and over there is definitely something to this band in this song extremely love it maybe it's cuz I'm 57 and it's taking me back in time IDK it is definitely one of those rare songs well played that you can listen to over and over and over and never lose the jam
To pull this off live was a triumph of real musicians.
I'm 62 today & still enjoy my Rock and Roll
Just play that at my funeral! The memories 20 inch bikes long sissy bar... Great days to be a kid. No bullshit. Just letting go and enjoy being young.
I 100% agree! I was born in 1961. I remember this on the radio. Free and innocent times!
Banana Seat? Poppin' Wheelies?😂
@@keithlauderjr1691 how about riding wheelies, that was so fun.. oops no helmets either.
@@scottuforox7654 no doubt Scott. My Dad got called a couple of times to pic up his unconscious son. - circa 67'-9 Newport,R.I😂
And doing all this till the street lights come on.
Wow! They still got it after all these years!!! One of my all time faves! Was born in 69 and so grateful my parents brought me up on some absolutely epic music!!!
nice I was born in late 1964 but didn't start listening to ambrosia until early 1974 I and my friends started to listen to everything that my parents were listening to even now today my children that were born in the early '90s were listening to my music and my grandchildren do the same even today the youngest out of 14 grandchildren she is 12 and thinks this music is cool because there is no cussing no hate etc
Ha! I got ya both, I'm was born in 60. Ambrosia hit when I was 18. I've always loved their music. 👋🏻
Jackie O'Reilly You were listening to them in the bars?
Them days are precious Terrific music YOU COULD UNDERSTAND THE WORDS! People back then were great, etc... I miss it
Wow they really did a wonderful job on a already classic song. The rhythm ,the leads, that badass bass and the keys were out this world.I really enjoyed that. Thanks so much!
I just heard this song last weekend on an old American Top 40 replay from 1975 at a small radio station in west central minnesota. The memories of the 70s came flooding back - and I immediately searched to find this song live. Joe Puerta's vocals are amazing and his bass playing even better. They still tour - I'm saving my pennies. Want to see them in concert. 3 of 4 original members still playing - wow!
Without Pack. No
Man I usually go w/the original recording, but this is excellent! Great song, but always brought back some bittersweet memories from the past...
Sounds Great my friends ! Burleigh, thanks for using my drum set on this video. They look and sound fantastic !!
Such Beautiful Guitar Intro...
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. The past experiences and loves can come back and enter your dreams. I miss so many people
Simply amazing music, lucky us that grew up with it,now 59 yrs old and still amazed at such great music in my teen yrs 🎧😎✌🏻👍🏻
Damn that guy on guitar is Killin it. Great song
I am impressed by this band. I knew their songs back in the day. I would like to go to one of their concerts. They have aged well.
Such an incredibly great song and done so very well by the extremely talented, Ambrosia!
Whenever I want to learn a classic tune, if a more recent version by the original band is available, I'll click it first to see how it's evolved after they've been doing it all these years. . . Here, Ambrosia has really dialed it in.
Awesome! All around excellence on guitar, keyboards, and the singing fabulous! Great memories!
This song brings back good memories of the 70's.
I love Ambrosia! Thanks for the treat.
It's rare to hear a band playing now that can still give you goosebumps
Joey "Doors" Puerta...eres chingon! Great voice for a great band.
Mind blowingly good! Many thanks for keeping the memories alive!
Been a fan since the 70's. They are still fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
A rhythm vamp with a harmon organ taking first ride! YES SIR!
And a damn nice live bass line.
Sometimes we don't want to give the musicians the latitude and longitude when playing a classic. I didn't mind the guitarist's rendition.
Great music, my wife and I will be married 50 yrs in 3 yrs wish they would come and sing. We are avid music buffs but they are one of the sweet love song music she got me to love. Voices fr heaven. You get old and sappy sorry .we went to see them anytime they were close to us.
.
Q hermosa cancion tenia muchos años q no la escuchaba gracias por subirla, aquellos hermosos años recordandolos
There’s so much more to this band than this song. Listen to the first TWO records ONLY. Yes this is on the first record. the rest - YACHTROCK 🙄
Awesome! This song still gives me goosebumps after all these years. One of the most tasteful songs from the 70's played by ace musicians with sweet vocal and harmonies. They don't make them like this anymore.
Joe is a beast...thanks for keeping the Ambrosia light shining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any chance for a David Pack reunion?
Not likely...
But it's really about the songs...Three original members is hard to accomplish in a 40 year career..I think Dave Pack may have his own band...
Still love the songs 💖
One comment mentioned "smoke and mirrors" . Thats bs this an excellent version the musicians are top rate!
But not really Ambrosia.
@@hot88s23 I'm sure you realize that all bands go through personnel changes over the years, especially a band that's been trotting out its brand for over 40 years, as has Ambrosia. In today's music business is isn't as much about keeping the band together as it is about keeping the brand alive. North, Drummond and Puerta seem to be doing a great job of keeping the Ambrosia brand alive. I would want to go see/hear them in concert if they came around to the Atlanta area. Are you aware that only founding guitarist Mick Jones remains from the original Foreigner lineup? And even Jones doesn't always play with the band, as he is old and in poor health. So when Jones isn't playing with them it's really a very high-quality Foreigner tribute band. But people still pay big-ticket prices to see the band carrying the Foreigner brand. I believe no original members remain from the original Molly Hatchet lineup, yet I'm quite sure the current lineup still plays out carrying the Hatchet brand. And twice my wife and I have seen/heard the current .38 Special lineup in concert and had a wonderful time, even though only two original members remain in that band. And don't get me started about that fabulous freak of nature Mickey Thomas and the band he fronts, still carrying the brand name Starship! A few years ago Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison went into the studio to add their instrumental/vocal parts to old tapes from the late John Lennon. They trotted out the brand name the Beatles once again, but in my opinion it wasn't really the Beatles; rather, it was two Lennon compositions with additional parts added by McCartney, Starr and Harrison long after Lennon's death and without Lennon's authorization. But Beatle lovers ate it up! Oh, I could go on and on and on ...!
@@ElliottMichaels56 please, go on. Interesting stuff.
@@keithanderson3981 There will be more when I can think about it, I promise you!
Hot 88s Just like the Stones aren’t really the Stones because Wyman left?
I just love this jam it’s so awesome I listen to this song over and over my neighbor also listens whether she wants to I just love this jam so awesome good jam
Dang, they sound damn good! I love this classic so much! ❤️
I've loved this song since it was a pop hit in the 1970's, remember listening to it while getting ready for school in the morning. The Drummer Channel version is awesome, if anything better than the original. This one shows what a tremendous band this is, while the lead guitar changes, always replace the last guy with someone better, and David Peck was no slouch as the original.
Joe Puenta is a god in my eyes, not only a top notch bass player, but stepped up on vocals when Peck left and filled those shoes.
Mr. Jackson, major props, you hit all the right notes.
Joe was always singing. He sang about 1/2 the songs on all of their LPs.
I'm going back to the 70's anyone wanna go ?
I'm in!
YES❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
