bobgaffneymusic was your underwear showin ? One of my favorite bands.
bobgaffneymusic reminds me of Stephen stills for some reason
, what happened to the original lead singer from the seventies success going to his head or what
bobgaffneymusic you rock sir
Did you replace Mark Andes?
There is just nothing like the music from our youth! I’m so glad I grew up with all these great artists and songs.
I thought bands like this were stupid. Now I’m older and I love this music. Thanks, Firefall.
SAME! This way too wimpy for me back in the 70's..Now? at age 61, I LOVE this stuff!
Love it. No auto tone, no nothing, just pure talent. What an awesome, live sound.
Of course they use auto tune. Everyone does mainly in post production. They certainly need it too.
@@travis8665 They were using auto tune in this live performance? I mean, that's what I was referring to. Maybe re read what I wrote and try to comprehend it. : )
@@travis8665 There was NO autotune in this time period.
Of course there is autotune. All recordings use autotune although years ago they used to tune manually.
@@travis8665 There was no use of autotune during this live performance.
"I saw your face and that's the last I've seen of my heart" - one of the best lines in soft rock!
Wow, an actual live performance! No lip synching here! Well done!!
Back when bands had real talent and could play live . Great performance.
Back in the days when music came from the heart and touched all our hearts and souls with incredible meaning .. helped us all bond and make so many amazing memories in our lives..
Joan Jett 8814 I totally agree with you girl that's what's wrong with the world today no one is touching anyone's heart anymore
When music was great music 😅
So simple yet so beautiful. Ahhhh ... the great bands and music from the 70s!
I was a student at ECU in Greenville NC and they were the only thing that us " beautiful, hot and sexy " women on campus were listening to in all the dorms. We were just in love with every song they ever played!! How could we not have been!!??? Such a good band with great vocals and such smooth guitar sounds.!! So happy to find this now!
One of the great songs of the '70s. It was "our song" for my high school girlfriend and me. It's still part of our playlist!
Such a cool song. It’s aged well and still sounds fresh.
This song just had all the feels. It brings me back to when me and my friends were out of school for the summer.
Beautiful music. I am so thankful I grew up with this quality music. ❤ Thank you Fire Fall
How are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
I am so glad that we were able to really hear that soulful sounds from such talented musicians. I still love this music the best!! ❤❤
Love this song...never gets old. Love Firefalls sound ❤
YES, YES, YES, YES ❤ I REMEMBER THIS SONG, HOW BEAUTIFUL, ♥️🙏❤️🙏♥️
This is cool. I just saw them 2 nights ago and Jock still has Sandy in the band and Chuck (lead singer here) came up for the encore. So very very cool!!
This song sends me back to the 70's instantly
Wonderful love song and talented musicians, great voices! Thank goodness my two grown children love and appreciate decades of talent before they were born.
Love this band for nearly 50 years!
Back when music was music. Miss those days.
Sammy Hagar said it best . The groups then were judged by live performances , if you couldn't cut it - gone .
For sure !! I miss that.
Music today is RUBBISH 2019
And thats why I like it. :-)
good music is missed, real artists, authentic people, that is missed ...
It was my girlfriends birthday and I requested this song on the radio for her and I phoned her to tell her to listen to the radio station for her song : She called me up later ( crying of course ) saying that was the best birthday gift ever !
You mean back then, right? I'm just thinking are there any radio stations left today that do requests like that. I guess there are a few
Always special to me, 1976 my first love would sing this to me. When all else in my life gets cold and hard I will always have this memory to warm me ❤️
Real music true talent
Simply saying the truth. Yes they were a very talented band. I agree. Love you too ❣️
❤ Outstanding performance,I love it🎉
When I was a kid in the '70s, this evoked incredibly strong feelings in me. As a much older person, even though it's not really my favorite genre of music, it sounds like perfection. Incredible melody and overall sound.
I've always Loved this song 💖🌺🕊👏🏾🏆🌞🌟🎼🎤🇺🇸
Just beautiful.
I remember back in the day this was played non stop on the jukebox. I was in Grade 11.
Also "If you Leave Me Now" by Chicago. Circa 1976. Still sounds great in 2020. From Ontario Canada. 🌈🦋🇨🇦
Kim you and I are the same age and yes oh the memories when I hear this song and Chicago too!!! Takes me back to a certain home……age…..people…..school….it makes me so happy.
My favorite song of all time💯❤️ grateful to have been part of the greatest music genre
My favorite video of this song!! Love !! Love this video!! Love!! Love the song!!!🌈🌈💜💙💙
Thank you for sharing- very special song to me- much appreciation !!! Love this song!!!
My daddy was a DJ. He worked in every radio station in our town. He first DJ’d only for country music when I was 3 years old. I got subjected to lots of music. I feel a little blessed for it. This is one song I will always love.
Loved this band growing up and still do! ❤
As I get older, this music takes me back and I feel young again.
This song has always reminded me of one of the two American dorm roommates when I entered college in the Fall of 1976. My memories are quite vivid of her singing and dancing and snapping her fingers any time she heard this song on her AM clock radio. I had never seen anyone so happy before. It took 46 years before we reconnected. I hope to see her again in person soon.
I love when the algorithms suggest a video of a song that I don't recognize by artist or song title, but then I immediately recognize it. It's a real gift. ❤
Firefalls original drummer was Michael Clarke-the original members were Rick Roberts,Larry Burnett,Jock Bartley,Mark Andes,,Michael Clarke, and David Muse they had many lineups over the later years and had some other very prominent members-Tris Imboden,George Hawkins and Kim Stone.Firefall is easily the most underrated band in American music history-their first four albums are excellent and "Clouds Across the Sun"is an excellent song about Firefall- very nice lyrics on that song
Do you know if these guys played high School gigs in the late 70's early 80's ? I remember seeing a band called Firefall. Their keyboard player was working his butt off going between all the keyboards he had.
I love this song ♥️
Still love this song. Have your greatest hits cd. And still listen to it in my car!
Well done...amazing
You go Bob! I don't know what has happened to me, I used be a hard ass, but your music just turns me into a sobbing, nostalgic mess. I like it. Thanks again, Firefall, God bless you and the boys!
They really nail this song..Sure wish they still made music like this..
Just great music .... Bring back those days
A simple, lively, love song when songs were written with heart and soul. A perfectly beautiful performance by Firefall.
Solid songwriting, Solid Musicianship, No tricks. Good Stuff!
This band was awesome. I was a very young boy in the 70's and I really was attuned to music. After all these years, this band still gives me goosebumps.
And what else does it give you?
@@cliffdweller joy to know that i lived through some great music.
When I met my wife that was the last I saw of my heart....what a beautiful wonderful song!!!
When my first born was a baby I used to sing these lyrics to her:
You are the baby that I've always dreamed of
I knew it from the start
We brought you home
And that's the last I've seen of my heart.
A. S. That’s so nice. 😀
Same here when my daughter was a newborn. Actually I sang many songs to he. I remember them all. She of course none
That's cute hahaha
Hey sister, right on. All the times and moments that we shared with family and friends, has no comparison to these beloved time's. Thank you for you. Or maybe something else, something out of our reach, at the moment.
Something else meaning, some power that maybe we simply can not understand.
Music never gets old, only we do. Great group, play well together.
GREAT SONG!!!
Goddamn, I love this video! Chuck's vocal is KILLER!
Love the band love the song Love the video thank you
Great High School memories the 70 's... but you never lose those they stay with you always .... still listen to Firefall today.... they do not make them like these guys anymore...great stuff...thanks for posting....
One of my favorite songs. Reminds me of when I was in THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE.
Back when music was music.....NO AUTOTUNE.....pure talent!!
We are all revealing our age...but music was definitely better back then...time marches on regardless...so glad we were able to experience so many great artists and music 😁💜😁
Love Firefall, great band❣
I’m in a Forever Fit class where the instructor often plays pop songs from past decades. When this song came on yesterday, everyone spontaneously started singing it, and knew all the words. Apparently we all still love it after all these years. No one can resist: (bop bop bop) “Whoa!”
Love this song.
Love this song even if I can't go back to that time and stay .I was there for a moment .😁
One of those awesome nostalgic songs that take you back.
I absolutely love this song. It was sent to me by someone I was so very close to.......I still play it almost every day.
Super! Top Quality Music! Real professionals! Makes me very happy! I was 16 in 1986! Acoustic guitar player (Chuck Kirkpatrick) looks like Bill Bixby!
Always loved this group, just great music
I love good live performances. That was very well done. Those guys are outstanding vocalists.
Sweet mix. Been over 40 yrs since I was a teenager , when this came out.
I miss this band. Loved them.
FIREFALL is one of my Favorite bands ever. " Mexico ", " Cinderella ", on and on. Seeing them Live in Omaha, Nebraska at The Orphium in the 1980's is a memory I'll never forget. 🙂👍🎵 How I got to be there is a Story in itself. Ha
I remember that Concert was actually in the later '70's. Oops. LOL 😆
Thank you Firefall for the amazing music you produce. Takes me back to my youth (which is a LONG way). Wish we had more sounds like yours in today's music world.
Such a simpler time in music. Still love.
Fabulous always loved this song ❤
So love this song.. great memories!!!
Firefall one of the greatest it was real music on that song and firefall did make some beautiful music most. Of today's music is fake 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶
What a beautiful song! This is one of my favs. Its so cool to watch talented musicians do their thing live. My, how the industry has changed!
I can listen to this song all day long! Love love LOVE it!!!!
My husband dedicated this song to me on our 30th wedding anniversary.
That's a great performance.

They have done 2 of my favorite songs all time.
Iconic, phenomenal band from my teenage years!!!!! 2021.
Love this song!
I absolutely loved this song and “Cinderella” in high school. Great songs and great memories! Watched Firefall in the round at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix in 1979.
Im 19 and damn proud to like this music since I was born
Now you're 25 and ever more convinced that autotune has allowed too many untalented people into music.
@@joeysplats3209 indeed
I'm 22 and I discovered this on the oldies station when I was 14. I'm proud that I've loved the oldies station all my life
One of my favorite bands.
Finally I found it .....Great memories.
Pretty song.Reminds when I was a little boy.Everything was so peaceful and fun.
When music was real and people actually played it! How soon we forget! One of many great songs by Firefall! Ride on brothers ride on...!
With love from a Colorado brother!
High school sock hop's, a smile, eye's sparkle of the light. The 70's was great.
Saw these boys in Stevens point wi in 79 with heartsfield what a tight show insane musicians in both bands
Love this, unlike modern times, real music thats actually enjoyable and light. Great voices, that sound twice as good live. Music today has absolutely nothing on the 70's. No wonder we're listening to this instead of the radio!
It's all manufactured now - mostly on machines. :( Plus over-dynamically-compressed and otherwise waaay over-produced. Compared to this gem, something by Train or Imagine Dragons could pass for a dial tone or someone vacuuming down the hall!
well put my friend!
@@Zickcermacity Yes you should murder them for that while listening to this shitty song.
Benedict: "shitty song" spoken like a true millennial or anyone under 30 years old!
@@Zickcermacity Yearning for a fleeting glimpse of a bygone era that seems better than it really was through the rose-colored lenses of nostalgia is fine, but pop music is the popular music because it speaks to people - even today. I submit that either pop music is no longer speaking to you, or you're not listening with an "open ear". Wonderful '70's am radio playlist, though...Peace!
I love this song !!! Even in 2019!
Always loved this song.
I got to know Rick Roberts when I was a taxi driver in Boulder, CO in the 90s. Basically runs to the nearby liquor store and such. Seemed to me that he had fallen on hard times but he was the sweetest guy to me. I got him to sing this in the back seat of the Crown Vic. Really nice guy.
Really Good Music... takes me back to the best time of my life....no one makes this type of excellent music anymore...thank you..
One of the greatest songs ever sang , written or performed. Love this group..
@F MAC YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT.. THANKS
@F MAC WANT SOME HANKIES?
@F MAC YOU APPARENTLY ARE JUST SOMEONE THAT LIKES TO GO THROUGH REMARKS AND JUST CAUSE PROBLEMS. NO ONE ASKED YOU TO READ SO LEAVE IT ALONE.
This song is very divisive apparently. Who knew?
I just love the song. I do not like someone mocking me about my opinions and feelings about how I feel about the song. I am sorry if you are the one that posted it. It has very special meaning to me and is a time that was very good.
@@johnsmith-wc8gs
I love this song.
I played in a band in tx that opened up for these guys in the middle 90s , we had a great time! After suffering heart failure I don't have the energy to hold my tele for not even 1 set the 80s were rough on me.
I've always loved this song since I was a kid and it came on the radio.
I loved this song when I was in my teens!!!!.. And still do!!!
And Chuck Kirkpatrick...he killed it!!
Awesome job.thankyou. Bob gaffney .for you and your group.love this song and others.you all are a class act.well done.bravo.indeed.....
