Back in the days when music came from the heart and touched all our hearts and souls with incredible meaning .. helped us all bond and make so many amazing memories in our lives..
It was my girlfriends birthday and I requested this song on the radio for her and I phoned her to tell her to listen to the radio station for her song : She called me up later ( crying of course ) saying that was the best birthday gift ever !
I love when the algorithms suggest a video of a song that I don't recognize by artist or song title, but then I immediately recognize it. It's a real gift. ❤
Wonderful love song and talented musicians, great voices! Thank goodness my two grown children love and appreciate decades of talent before they were born.
I was a student at ECU in Greenville NC and they were the only thing that us " beautiful, hot and sexy " women on campus were listening to in all the dorms. We were just in love with every song they ever played!! How could we not have been!!??? Such a good band with great vocals and such smooth guitar sounds.!! So happy to find this now!
When I was a kid in the '70s, this evoked incredibly strong feelings in me. As a much older person, even though it's not really my favorite genre of music, it sounds like perfection. Incredible melody and overall sound.
This song has always reminded me of one of the two American dorm roommates when I entered college in the Fall of 1976. My memories are quite vivid of her singing and dancing and snapping her fingers any time she heard this song on her AM clock radio. I had never seen anyone so happy before. It took 46 years before we reconnected. I hope to see her again in person soon.
I remember back in the day this was played non stop on the jukebox. I was in Grade 11. Also "If you Leave Me Now" by Chicago. Circa 1976. Still sounds great in 2020. From Ontario Canada. 🌈🦋🇨🇦
Kim you and I are the same age and yes oh the memories when I hear this song and Chicago too!!! Takes me back to a certain home……age…..people…..school….it makes me so happy.
Firefalls original drummer was Michael Clarke-the original members were Rick Roberts,Larry Burnett,Jock Bartley,Mark Andes,,Michael Clarke, and David Muse they had many lineups over the later years and had some other very prominent members-Tris Imboden,George Hawkins and Kim Stone.Firefall is easily the most underrated band in American music history-their first four albums are excellent and "Clouds Across the Sun"is an excellent song about Firefall- very nice lyrics on that song
Do you know if these guys played high School gigs in the late 70's early 80's ? I remember seeing a band called Firefall. Their keyboard player was working his butt off going between all the keyboards he had.
Always special to me, 1976 my first love would sing this to me. When all else in my life gets cold and hard I will always have this memory to warm me ❤️
This is cool. I just saw them 2 nights ago and Jock still has Sandy in the band and Chuck (lead singer here) came up for the encore. So very very cool!!
My daddy was a DJ. He worked in every radio station in our town. He first DJ’d only for country music when I was 3 years old. I got subjected to lots of music. I feel a little blessed for it. This is one song I will always love.
This band was awesome. I was a very young boy in the 70's and I really was attuned to music. After all these years, this band still gives me goosebumps.
When my first born was a baby I used to sing these lyrics to her: You are the baby that I've always dreamed of I knew it from the start We brought you home And that's the last I've seen of my heart.
Hey sister, right on. All the times and moments that we shared with family and friends, has no comparison to these beloved time's. Thank you for you. Or maybe something else, something out of our reach, at the moment.
Love this, unlike modern times, real music thats actually enjoyable and light. Great voices, that sound twice as good live. Music today has absolutely nothing on the 70's. No wonder we're listening to this instead of the radio!
It's all manufactured now - mostly on machines. :( Plus over-dynamically-compressed and otherwise waaay over-produced. Compared to this gem, something by Train or Imagine Dragons could pass for a dial tone or someone vacuuming down the hall!
@@Zickcermacity Yearning for a fleeting glimpse of a bygone era that seems better than it really was through the rose-colored lenses of nostalgia is fine, but pop music is the popular music because it speaks to people - even today. We are all revealing our age...but music was definitely better back then...time marches on regardless...so glad we were able to experience so many great artists and music 😁💜😁
You go Bob! I don't know what has happened to me, I used be a hard ass, but your music just turns me into a sobbing, nostalgic mess. I like it. Thanks again, Firefall, God bless you and the boys!

I always liked this song and this band! It's too bad the sound mixer didn't have the flute up enough to hear it in this video - the flute intro (and the prominent flute lines throughout many of their songs) was a cool and unique addition to their sound.
Great High School memories the 70 's... but you never lose those they stay with you always .... still listen to Firefall today.... they do not make them like these guys anymore...great stuff...thanks for posting....
I’m in a Forever Fit class where the instructor often plays pop songs from past decades. When this song came on yesterday, everyone spontaneously started singing it, and knew all the words. Apparently we all still love it after all these years. No one can resist: (bop bop bop) “Whoa!”

I miss this band. Loved them.

Love it. No auto tone, no nothing, just pure talent. What an awesome, live sound.
Of course they use auto tune. Everyone does mainly in post production. They certainly need it too.
