That Goob scene when everyone was being nice to him and all he could think was that everyone hated him really hit me as an adult. So many opportunities and possible friendships wasted because we're stuck in our own negativity.
I never thought about that. I always just laughed it off as a comedic bit but that’s a good catch 😅 I can relate a bit to Goob in that way. Sometimes I get trapped in my own head.
“Why aren’t you seizing the boy!?”
“Cause I have a big head, and little arms. And I’m not sure how well this plan was thought out…”
This joke has lived rent free in my head for years.
"Master?"
Master....?
@@MochiSyrup Agh stupid stupid *hits control panel against my head*
@@Issei_Midoriya thank you for giving me a little boost of joy with this little interaction ❤
@MochiSyrup yea of course. Like what Luis says keep moving forward
I feel the phase "keep moving forward" is very underated even to today where people like to hold onto to a lot of past traumas or their own personal demons and take it out on others like goob. People are stronger than they know if they can take a step back and understand what's the issue and take steps to grow and surpass the past as it's over. It can't be changed
I read goob as god and was very confused
The past can’t be changed but people totally can
As well as the saying:
“From failure, we learn. From success, not so much.”
The first time I saw that quote, it really hit me. It basically the mind set I live by nowadays. Idk why, but it reminded me a lot of A Separate Peace. There was one quote in there that really hit me and its almost along the lines of being the same. Either way, very simple, yet powerful 3 words.
Reminds me of dorys Just keep swimming
Another beautiful thing about the found family vs the blood related family is what Wilbur says in the end to Luis.
"I didn't think my best friend would be my dad."
Luis gave his son a beautiful blood related family to grow up in and feel loved in. Something Luis didn't have with his mother.
What I love about the Robinsons family is that its both found and blood related. Wilbur had the best of both worlds with lovely characters to grow up around.
Blood relation is cringe lmfao it means nothing more then you share me genetics, oh wow, so amazing and special
If you're trashing found family get out lol
@@technicallyafoxsome people have wonderful relationships with both their blood related families and their chosen families. You sound like you’re bitter and projecting. Hope you can Keep Moving Forward.
@@yunochiii no, im just tired of people over evaluating blood. Did you know most kids are abused by people related to them? Blood is a trap. At least you get to choose your other family. Blood relations to abusers are extremely common.
I quote “Bake them cookies Lucille!” At least once a year if someone is really destroying on a dance floor. It hurt me that I had to google the clip to explain to someone once
Lmao, that's awesome 😂
last 15 minutes of this movie never fails to make me sob, like snot running from my nose type sobbings, hyperventilating..... its embarrassing that i cant watch this movie with other people.
the ending in general makes me cry, but that quote they show at the very end just makes me ugly sob
and then the music " THESE SMALL HOURS , THESE LITTLE WONDERS THESE TWISTS AND TURNS OF FATE "@@indiesunflowers 😭😭water works mate
Bowler hat guy is in the middle of the triangle connecting WALUIGI, GRU and ROBBIE/BOBBIE from lazy town
I just realized: Lewis's mom leaving him on that doorstep was because she, too, wanted him to keep moving forward.
I am almost 30 years old and I still make myself feel better by watching the "Keep Moving Forward" bit whenever I screw up. It's one of the best lessons you can learn is that failure can be ok
This movie meant so much to me as a kid and even now. The story, characters, and message are so inspiring. So glad this underrated gem is getting the recognition it deserves.
Todayland from _Meet The Robinsons_ is the closest thing we ever get to having Frutiger Aero in a Disney animated film. The futuristic city that stands on a clean environment screams _"The future we were promised"._
the movie Robots 2005 too
Yes! Very bubbly, clean, and colorful
Fun Fact: Meet The Robinson was the adaptation of a book
A book by William Joyce, an amazing author who also wrote books in which other animated media was adapted from such as Rolie Polie Olie and Rise of the Guardians
@@mari.art1999 I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON THIS MOVIE ALWAYS REMINDED ME OF ROLIE POLIE OLIE
Can we just appreciate this man's hair it's beautiful
I actually do believe we should take a second for that. Need the hair care routine asap
Pigs hair has finally reached full amazingness!! Let's hope he keeps it this time, or even grows it even longer still. It suits him very well, it helps he has amazing hair.
The Song "little Wonders" by rob thomas still crawls under my Skin to this day.... its...perfectly fitting to the movies message and themes underlining them with " enjoy the small things in life "
every time i finish the movie, immediately started crying. this movie holds a place in my heart
My mom is a huge Rob Thomas fan and apparently he wrote the song after an experience walking his dog. The realization that the small moments are things that are often the ones you'll look back on etc
I wish I could've shown my brother this video, he was in fact a "Goob" he was focusing his time on becoming an artist (I loved his art style btw) got a job, was going to college, and he had got caught up with the wrong people and became addicted to hard drugs. After several years, he comes back home and my mom, dad, and eldest brother, showed as much support as we could. Unfortunately, as an addict he would do things like steal out the house, was prone to violent outburst, and just spat on our Christian upbringing, so my father had him kicked out of the house (disowning him in the process). My oldest brother gave him up as well. However, my mom and I continued to show him support, giving him money, for food, hotel, and clothes, but he just couldn't appreciate it because of how bad those around him treated him, there were even those on the streets that gave as much as they could, and it still wasn't enough. Life had beat him down, and people hated him, mostly because he was transgender as well, and had to beg to get what he wanted (drugs included). I'm not sure if we were enabling him, but we believed that it was the drugs that hindered him from getting better. As there were somedays that he would bounce back, got himself a job, cleaned himself up, and would be the person I knew back then. He just couldn't let go of the person who he fell in love with, which was the same person that got him started taking drugs, and that relationship was toxic in of itself. Not everyone turned him away but it was enough to make him take his own life a few years ago. I still wonder if I could've said something or done something more to save him, but I guess I'll never know, to anyone who read this comment to the end, it doesn't matter what you do for someone in need if you don't first show them love. We all show love, but we all have our limits, and when it comes to love, there is no limit. I apologize for the long comment, but after what I, what my family has been through. This means a lot to me as well.
I actually really love when you give a lot of attention to the message of the movies you discuss and talking about its depth more, and I don't think it's just rambling. Movies are impactful because of what they're saying and trying to make you feel, so the message of a movie is just as important as the literal plot to me. I haven't watched this movie since I was a kid, but I remember it meaning a lot to me. I know I'm definitely gonna cry when I rewatch it.
That’s exactly how I feel! I love when people “ramble.” How people feel about art is how it impacts our world, of course that’s important!! Loving your positivity :)
Literally peak animated movie
Best scene is when he went to future and in dark and watching that TV about how the bowler hat started to take over the world and made everyone slaves then the family was all "But Louis, we are already slaves" and it does the reveal where the whole family are wearing the bowler hats and turned into slaves, that scene was😮😮😮😮
one of my favorite details in the movie is in the beginning when Lewis’ mom is dropping him at the orphanage you hear someone run off and later on when Wilbur takes him back to that moment and he runs away you realize it was Lewis
(but I will say this does mess with the movie just slightly because it means this is one concise timeline so lewis as an adult should have the memory of everything that happened in the movie but maybe that’s why adult lewis is gone the whole movie so he can butt out of it and let it happen because he knows where it ends up)
This movie and Wall-E was my childhood and I love the message of keep moving forward that has always stuck with me ever since I was a kid.
I feel this 100%
I definitely agree with the message. Uniqueness is in all of us and when we accept our children , they can feel comfortable in themselves and accomplish amazing things
My brother, yes, yes, yes! I saw this movie just randomly at a friend's house one night and I always thought it was a Top 5 Disney film, so underrated!
2005-2010 is the golden era of disney movies and no one can change my mind, herby fully loaded, bridge to terebithia, meet the robinson, etc. they really had banger after banger
This movie kept popping into my head at work for weeks, and then me and my bf met someone who looked a lot like Cornelius. I couldn't stand it anymore and watched MTR for the first time in years. Amazing as I remembered
Lol, was the guy's hair standing straight up and everything? 😂
Thank you for mentioning that being blood related doesn't make you family. As a queen person we a lot of the time have to go out and find chosen families. So that hits kind of close to home with me and the people around me. If a toxic person is toxic it doesn't matter if they are related to you. You don't "have" to love or put up with anyone that makes you feel bad. ❤
"As a queen person" hell ya keep slayin queen !!
@@silvereyeraven ❤️
Fun Fact: The parts of Lewis and Wilbur had to be recast when the original actors' voices broke.
Broke? like they went through puberty??
@@aj27turquoiseskiesyeah Lewis uses several voice actors throughout the film. Wilbur has the same VA but they had to re-record all of Wilbur’s lines after his voice changed during puberty. He originally sounded a lot younger.
Dang, whoever could be doing that smooth, velvety announcer voice in the beginning of the video?? Must be some kind of extremely handsome, tall, and young man, who should DEFINITELY be offered voice acting gigs....
Most underrated Disney movie. Little wonders still one of my favourite songs
Also wanna mention that Bowler Hat Guy IS indeed an amusingly memorable villain. The hilarity and zaniness of his character can be credited to none other than Stephen J Anderson, the film's director, who voiced not only Bowler Hat Guy, but also Bud (Lewis' adoptive father and Lucille's husband) and Tallulah (one of Lewis' adoptive cousins from the future).
Stephen himself was adopted and he actively pushed to direct MTR because he related to and identified so much with Lewis. He's an awesome guy who continues to respond to fans online, especially on fan art for the film, to this day. 😊😊😊
I feel like another good movie about accepting your self and your quirks would be “a monster in Paris” while being originally is French and dubbed in English the movie still conveys the importance of accepting one’s self through story and music ( absolutely banger sound track) I highly recommend watching it, it’s criminally underrated.
Watched a TON of Meet The Robinsons growing up and it had such an emotional investing impact on me from the *Keep Moving Forward* point even Louis was an orphan and I was not.
The song at the end still makes me cry
There’s no inherent problem with adapting source material into movies. This movie is a loose adaptation of a book and it didn’t even have time travel in the book. The movie rules regardless.
Hell, a lot of beloved films are based on books. It all depends on the people making it.
Meet the Robinsons is my family’s favorite movie of all time. It tells so much and the comedy is so good. I wanted to be in the future work so bad.❤❤
I remember watching this movie with my dad after my grandpa’s funeral. I was still too young to understand much, but looking back, this movie was flooded with messages that my Dad probably needed to hear after burying his dad. And honestly, it’ll be things I’ll hold onto hopefully later in life, if I ever have to do the same.
This film is one of my favourites helped me understand a lot about families and not giving up and I would recommend it to everyone who hasn’t seen it
This movie was always one of my favourites as a kid and I didn’t know why it hit so deep but watching this video, I cried once I realized why it was a comfort movie for me and how much it helped me, thank you for making this video
I always thought this movie would be really weird when I was a kid so I always avoided. I decided to watch it in my later years of High School and I almost teared up during the scene where Lewis chooses his future family over his mom
This has been my favorite Disney movie ever since I saw it as a kid. I want to get a “Keep Moving Forward” tattoo for it; it means a HUGE deal to me. It’s so nice to see someone talk about it finally.
I’m so glad you decided to cover meet the Robinsons. It’s one of of my favorite Disney movies. I’m kinda sad it never got a sequel.
This actually is my favorite Disney. I've met so many people who haven't watched it simply because it isn't a musical. Really happy to see you cover it!
People really go by that logic? Guess they never seen any non musical Disney movie or show for that matter... they really are missing out with there weird hang-ups
It would have been cool if it did better so disney would add something from the movie to Tomorrowland
Super sad too, because the music in this movie is amazing. Little wonders lives in my head rent free.
Our favorite hat boi getting a goth gf turned mommy. Dude sure has brains of culture
This movie impacted me so much emotionally when I was younger, that when I graduated high school, "Keep moving forward" was my senior quote. Genuinely has to be my favorite, if not one of my favorite, movies. At one point, I used to have most of the script memorized because I'd have it playing on repeat.
Meet the Robinsons is literally one of my favorite movies. Especially towards the end, I think it’s a beautiful movie especially in its message
YESSSSS, I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH!!! I'm so glad you're doing this video, not many people appreciate Meet the Robinsons!
I just wanna say I’ve always loved this movie and tried to get everyone I knew to watch it when I got the dvd😂. MTR deserved so much more love. Thank you for the vid!!
Ugh what a great way to start my lunch
The best thing about the family dynamic is that cornelius just ran his household like the orphanage he always wanted to be in … allowing his kids to be as free as possible to find their true selves because that’s where happiness lies and that’s one of the lessons he learns at the end of the movie. So for the family to be the reason why ,young cornelius understanding why individuality is important and getting that lesson from his own family tbat he created is really some full circle incredible writing….
I watched meet the Robinsons when I was going through a horrible time as a kid. I cried my eyes out when that end message hit. Keep moving forward..I watched it over 100 times. I have good memories watching it with old friends I lost contact with, I have good memories watching it when I was happy and bad memories of watching it when I was sad. It's my everything and doesn't get the praise it deserves.
YEEES!!! I WAS HOPING YOU'D SPEAK ON THIS!!! This was a movie i would watch back to back when i was a young child!!! This movie set a standard
"They all hated me" is one of my favorite scene in any Disney movie.
I love this movie. I remember how I watched it on repeat, sobbing over and over when I was watching the bit about him realizing that the woman who gave him birth also made one of the best gifts of his life - an opportunity to choose his own family. And after seeing the family he'd make in the future, he changed his mind about chasing the woman who had abandoned him in the first place. I also think that the way he defeated Doris, made a huge impact on that decision - one move during this faithful moment and he can erase the very existence of his whole future that he still has a chance to create...
That beautiful ending, and the song are the end still tears me up
"I just keep moving forward until all my enemies are destroyed" -Eren Yeager
very motivational
I litteraly just watched the schaffrillas video today! Call that a coincidence!
"Another Believer" is such a bop I can't deny it anymore!
no matter how many times I watch this movie “they all hated me” always gets me
I also like that even though the tag line is "keep moving forward", it could have also been "remember, but don't dwell". The Robinsons are all about making mistakes and learning from them. Taking those mistakes with them into the future so they have experience to draw from when they want to improve things. It isn't about instantly ditching the experience of failure, but remembering WHY you failed and how to try and change it the next time around. (which is really a message I needed right now. Im going back to school for nursing and its going to take me 5 years to do it. I went to college at 18, my degree is basically useless, but I'm trying again now with something I know I want to do and will help me. Its going to be hard and Im going to be bogged down by regret because I didn't do this the first time, but the lesson I need to hold onto is that decisions need to be made with intention rather than doing it just to do it and just because this is attempt #2 doesnt make it any less of an accomplishment. Hell, my mom at 55 is going through nursing school RIGHT NOW. She has tried and failed at so many things, but has always done her best and now she's found something that sticks and shes GOOD at. I am so proud of her. I deserve to be proud of myself too)
I love your channel. Its like watching a friend talk about what their passionate about. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
I appreciate the SpongeBob memes, brother 😂
This movie is TOO underrated man. Such BANGER original soundtrack and a surprisingly emotional Story.
I loved that they didn't go too much into the bio mom's story, because it doesn't matter, because she was selfless enough to give up Louis so he could hopefully have a better life than what she could give him. I imagine she got sick and passed away, thats why she's not shown to contact him in the future. Maybe she was homeless or in an abusive relationship, the movie doesn't care about why, it cares about the sacrifice for the child.
10/10 needs sequel
Thank you. Thank you for making these videos. It makes some of us who don't exactly realize they're stuck in a loop move forward. Or nudge us in the right direction. As always. Stay awesome.
omg i’m so excited to see you cover this finally - i latched onto this film as a kid and never let go lmaoo
I’ve always adored meet the robinsons it’s one of my favorite disney movies. the last time I watched it I went on a whole rant in my letterboxd review of how it’s so underrated despite being so fun and comforting and perfect to me
This has always been one of my favs, glad to see others talking about it
These videos do so much for me please never stop creating💗
We really needed a tv show spinoff of this movie!
This video came out when I needed it the most and gave me comfort 🥲 Thank you for keeping making videos, you're one of my favorite youtubers💜💜💜
This movie used to be one of my favorites growing up as a kid. Glad you are covering this on your channel. Keep up your great work Pig!
I’ve loved this movie since I was a kid and my mom couldn’t remember ever taking me to the theaters to see it or buying it for me. Until my parents started adopting and I put it on for my younger siblings. Then it was her new favorite.
how can it be when I've always given it the respect it deserves 💅
i really appreciate you making this video man. i know alot of it is just discussing the plot points of the movie, but I've had a pretty awful week, and the words of encouragement and positivity through out the video really helped. thank you dude, like actually
Keep moving forward is a quote I’ve used since I almost died and became disabled, it’s helped me so much
Yaaaay you've finally covered Meet the Robinsons! 🙌🏻
I fucking love this movie, the humor is perfect, the music can be emotional at times, it just holds up so well.
With this movie's message and it be Disney's first ever 3D animated movie that was made in the house at the studio it represents how not only the company wanted to move on from traditional animation but they also wanted to keep moving forward to focus on other stuff for the future of the company for both the better and for the worse
But mostly worse since we have not only bad remakes but also artificial intelligence being used to write some of their projects now which sucks NGL
Also the only reason why the animation looks as weird as it is is not really just because of the budget it's also because it's meant to be an adaptation of an old 1990s children's book made by the executive producer of this movie William Joyce and the character designs are semi faithful to their book counterparts
As a person who's read the book myself
One of the best Disney films of 2007
the ending song brings me to tears every single time. this movie has such a special place in my heart.
Watching this guy helps me feel so much better about myself and my feelings in my bad moments
This movie was one of my favorite Disney movies that were created. It may not be up there with the best Disney movies, but it's definitely an underrated gem that deserves to be recognized and respected more.
Genuinely my favorite video you’ve ever put out, haven’t thought about this movie since I was a kid and I forgot how truly special it is to me, and it’s a message that I really needed to hear rn. I will for sure be watching this movie again soon
I love that this video turned into 70% Pig rambling and personally relating to the movie and 30% the actual movie.
Driving home the point that the message is the entire point of the film
It's been a long while watching a movie review that made me cry. Thank you BionicPig for this lovely video
Love this movie! It's heartfelt and the ending is just so perfect -the montage of his new life outside of the orphanage where we see bits and pieces of Lewis working on his future is just insanely sweet. Not to mention how amazing the soundtrack is Another Believer is just the perfect song to listen to while working on projects
You have such a big heart my dude. You’re awesome.
I cry at the end every time. That song gets me.
I grew up watching this movie and it’s a classic to me. Every time I see it on a streaming platform I have to watch it. As you said bionic “you feel like you’re covering the message more than the movie itself”. You gave me a new tattoo idea and I’m gonna dedicate it to not only this movie but you because just like this movie you’ve helped me when I was down so today imma ask my gf if she can use her new tattoo gun to put “keep moving forward” happy Easter to you and ur physical and virtual family.
Thank you for being you and doing what you do dude
It's incredible! Such a tearjerker too
OMGGGG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REVISITING THIS MOVIE!!!
I remember a while back where you posted a Disney movie tier list on your 'AlienBacon' channel, and I was disappointed you guys rated MTR as low as you did at the time. Sure, MTR doesn’t flaunt the most gorgeous animation, and yes, the plot can get a little complicated at times. But it has SO much heart and the main story is so compelling, heartwarming, and inspirational all at once that its flaws are easily overshadowed by the positives. And god, the found family trope coupled with the "be yourself, be weird, you WILL find your people" message just makes for a fantastic watch. And who can forget the "keep moving foward, learn from your mistakes" message, which is incredibly valuable. MTR is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Disney movies as well as one of my favorite animated movies in general, and I'm beyond happy to see it getting a little more of the attention it so very much deserves in recent years as we near the 20th anniversary of its release. 💖💖💖
Once again, thanks for giving it another shot and deciding to make a video emphasizing its great qualities!! 🥰
I don’t know if it’s been recommended before but: Where the wild things are.
It’s a beautiful kids movie, one that I forgot I watched on loop as a kid. Something so whimsical and slightly scary about it which I loved. I’d highly recommend it!
I have a fortune cookie tattoo that says "Keep Moving Forward" on my arm. This is one of my all time favorite stories and movies.
You talking about positive reinforcement really hit home for me as well! I loved this movie growing up and could never quite put my finger as to why, so it's nice to finally have that reason clarified for me. I didn't grow up with much positive reinforcement either, especially from my teachers, so it's nice to have a shared experience with someone else. :)
You're a very wholesome youtuber, thank you BionicPig. Keep up the great work.
I LOVE this movie. Definitely in my top 5 and the Moto “keep moving forward” are words I live by.
I will have to watch this movie! I really enjoyed this video and appreciated your sharing of yourself, sir. That takes a lot of courage!
Meet The Robinson is one of my favorite Disney movies, and it's so nostalgic just by seeing this movie. The Bowler hat guy is one of the best and tragic characters ever made in this movie. His revenge against Robinson is hilarious and childish, and it make sense cause he never manage to grow up without adoptive parents. Seeing him disappear, and leaving behind his diary with a question mark on his list. Just shows that he's got nothing to fulfill in his life. Really brings a good message, and that was "Keep Moving Forward".
Your words man they are so wise thank you for everything pig you really touch people out there don’t think you don’t thank you so much for what you do 😭❤️
Hey !! Keep up the Great Work!! Your always entertaining, and I know I enjoy seeing someone else's pov of different movies, and occasionally getting me interested in something new.
Again, keep up the excellent work!!
little wonders from the soundtrack is also a great lullaby song & accompanies the movie so well.
