Richard Wright just pure genius. How did they ever imagine this Album? Thank you for the pleasure not only of this iconic Album which brought back so many memories for this 70 year old git, but also the pleasure of your reaction.....f..king brilliant
I have seen many of your reactions, especially the Pink Floyd ones. I wish I could explain why I enjoy watching your reactions eloquently, but I don't have the words. What I can say, is that for me, the best, my favorite moment of any of your reactions, is when you get pissed off as you realize a song is ending. For me, it is the ultimate compliment in that moment of temporary sadness.
71-yr-old Texas hippie here! This is my second favorite album of all time! Like everyone says, no matter how many dozens of times I've heard it over the years, it still brings me to tears of joy!!!! Although I'm nearing the end of my time this time, I am so freaking GRATEFUL that I grew up a BOOMER. Say what you might about us......we had the most incredibly creative and transformative music!! I just can't stand the "news" today. I was nearly in tears of despair an hour ago. SO GLAD to see the thumbnail for this one! You have helped me, and probably many others today! And I haven't even watched your reaction yet!!! Just seeing that you have put it out there for us today, makes me think there's hope for humanity. THANK YOU!
Agreed. I just turned 60. Also my second favorite album. I bought my first Floyd album in 73...you know which one lol. Was fortunate enough to see them in the 80s. They will forever be my favorite band. SRV will always be my number one guitar player...although i will have to say that i think Roy Clark is the best all around picker lol....but the way Gilmore bends emotion into the strings is incredible. Also very thankful i grew up when i did....best music
@@markhurlbut6999 You sound like a man after my own heart (if you remember that expression!)!!! Yes, I had also bought DS first, and of course, it too is a masterpiece! I loved your reaction to this, Floyd is not music it's a feeling, that drills into your soul and makes itself at home. I live in a Floyd bubble that protects me from the Neurotypical 💜
Their creativity between 1971 and 1976 is top notch Meddle in 71’, Obscured by Clouds and the making of Dark Side in 72’, the final version of Dark Side in 73’, the first versions of Shine On, Dogs and Sheep played live in 74’, Wish you were here in 75´, the final versions of Dogs and Sheep + Pigs for Animals in 77’….that’s just pure magic
Really would love to see someone familiar with Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Sheep, and Dogs react to the early versions of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Raving and Drooling, and You've Got to Be Crazy. Perhaps the '74 Wembley versions Pink Floyd performed In the first set of the full Dark Side of the Moon reaction Brain Squeeze already did? I prefer the final versions of all three, but the live working versions are interesting for their differences and to see how the band developed, evolved, and perfected their vision and their craft over time.
Your second reaction is even better Mark, and entertaining 😂The first time you didn't know wat hit you, total confusion and amazement. This time around I see the joy taking over because it is reaching your core much easier. And for me it was heartwarming to witness that, thanks.
For my birthday present 20 years ago, I requested this CD from my husband. Today is the 44th anniversary of the start of living with my husband. Thank you for showing us a non-stop and fun reaction on our special day, Hector❤️
This was a tribute, Memorial , to their childhood friend Syd Barrett. The man who named Pink Floyd and who was their front man and songwriter. Rick Wright added in a little of Syd's See Emily Play.
Glad you playing this. I was in my teens when Dark side of the Moon was released. Everyone who loved music bought that album. Happy days - when you used to meet up with your boyfriend and just lie down together and listen to a great album. No visuals, just the sound and being present with someone you liked so much. "50 shades of murder" lmfao. Carry on enjoying it in your own unique way, my friend. I am slightly jealous that i don't feel it as deep as you do. Love you man and Shine On You Very Crazy Diamond 🤘
This is a tremendous, beautiful, meaningful album whether you’re sober or drunk or stoned…but I have NEVER heard anything as cool as the beginning of this song while looped on acid. That little wind chime like tickle in your ear OMG
This is the sort of track where you need to be alone for a good hour... to prepare, to listen and then to recover. You need to have a huge fluffy bean bag and headphones. You need to arrange yourself artfully in that beanbag [usually done by dropping fully onto it], put those headphones on and hit play....... and remember to breathe.
G'day from Australia. Love your Pink Floyd reactions and been hanging out for you to do these 2 great songs back to back. Individually, they were just brilliant musicians but Richard Wright on keyboards was an absolute genius and composer. Can l suggest you try the studio versions of their 2 greatest songs Comfortably Numb and Echoes? You will love it and learn to appreciate them even more. Love your work mate!
You know this whole suite is about Syd. The last part, is basically by Richard Wright and it’s a funeral march even though Syd was still living. But’s it’s saying goodbye to who he was to them as a friend, an inspiration, and a genius that made their band. The very end of Part IX is a musical quotation of Syd’s biggest hit, See Emily Play. It’s a beautiful ending.
Ok Mark, I think you are ready grasshopper. You have mastered Pink Floyd. It's time to try the band that carried on where they left off. Porcupine Tree. May I suggest "Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape" "Radioactive Toy " " Buying New Soul" and the magnificent " Arriving Somewhere, But Not Here". I think you are ready mate. 🙂 ( Oh, and you can keep that pebble )
Excellent call, Arriving is genius, as is the Deadwing album. The track that would possibly get the same reaction as Shine On is Glass Arm Shattering, laid back masterpiece. Anesthetize too.
I can't believe you posted this song today. I just found out one of my best friends in life died today. He was the craziest mfr you could ever meet in your lifetime. He was a legend. He was in my wedding thirty six years ago. There couldn't be a more appropriate song for me to hear today. Shine on Fuzzy!
I found your channel a while back through your reactions to Pink Floyd. Recently, I’ve been enjoying your journey down REN’s hole lol. This return to Pink Floyd also makes me very happy ❤😊😊😊
You get it. I'm 67. I was into experimenting with popular, albeit illegal, chemical substances when this was released, and I can tell you that experiencing any Pink Floyd album while tripping is something one should only do when you have a sober companion available to keep you contained in the house. It is indeed the definition of an out of body experience...at least it always was for us. I nearly lost it, literally, while listening to Pink Floyd's song "Ummagumma" (way earlier than this). Disclaimer...I am not recommending drug abuse of any kind.
Well done. You did it. You completed the circle. By being yourself. Sharing in plain sight, full view, in the light. There is no such thing as ADHD, we are crazy diamonds and we always shine 😊❤✨👏👏👏
Hiya Hector, about 30 years ago me and a mate (both unemployed at the time) re-wrote this as 'sign on you lazy bastard) yeah we were skint but we made the best of it, all the best my friend from Eddie Birdie ✌ ❤ 🐦.
Mea culpa here. I unsubscribed a while back (not due to you, due to my music preferences which have been stuck in the past for ages), but this one brought me back. Somehow I had forgotten how much enjoyment I derive from watching you react to the songs I love! Wishing you continued success.
When you first started with Floyd you also covered echoes at Pompeii , if you get time can you cover echoes live in Gdansk, it will blow your mind what they have done with it, just when you thought they couldn't get any better,
All they had to do was fade the wind in as the sax faded out. Easy transition. And they blew it 😆 Its all good. Love revisiting it with you. Been listening to this album since it came out. Never ever gets old or boring.
If they played this in therapist’s waiting rooms everyone would be healed instantly. ✨
Right? Use this at the spa on a loop. Everywhere in the spa lol.
Here here....
Richard Wright, man. No other keyboardist has ever made a Moog sound this good.
He was the Bob Ross of aural soundscapes lol. Except sometimes his trees weren’t as happy.

Excellent call, Arriving is genius, as is the Deadwing album. The track that would possibly get the same reaction as Shine On is Glass Arm Shattering, laid back masterpiece. Anesthetize too.
Ah! The crazy days of Syd. Keep Reacting!
This was my all time favorite reaction ever!!!
This f🎉cking song!!❤❤❤😊
Yesssss😊
I can't believe you posted this song today. I just found out one of my best friends in life died today. He was the craziest mfr you could ever meet in your lifetime. He was a legend. He was in my wedding thirty six years ago. There couldn't be a more appropriate song for me to hear today. Shine on Fuzzy!
Well my thoughts are to him and his family and I'm so glad this came at that time you needed it ❤
I love your Pink Floyd reactions!
I found your channel a while back through your reactions to Pink Floyd. Recently, I’ve been enjoying your journey down REN’s hole lol. This return to Pink Floyd also makes me very happy ❤😊😊😊
Hi Mark would love to see your reaction to Atom Heart Mother Thanks
Glad to see you back again bro, been a while, let's go🎉🎉🎉Go on
That was fun man. Enjoyed it. Cheers!
You get it.
You should react to live a live concert of these songs. There's a ton of bootlegs from their 75 tour. It would blow your mind
Mannnnn,........i fuckin love your reaction videos!!! ADHD or whatever, its a no filter no BS direct output theme!!!
Psychedelic rock!!!
Dear Hector please listen to Echoes studio version it will take you to the stratosphere
Well done. You did it. You completed the circle. By being yourself. Sharing in plain sight, full view, in the light. There is no such thing as ADHD, we are crazy diamonds and we always shine 😊❤✨👏👏👏
"ITS NOT ADHD, IM SHINING DIAMOND!"
@@brainsqueezereactions love you bro 👏👏💪💪💖✨
Hiya Hector, about 30 years ago me and a mate (both unemployed at the time) re-wrote this as 'sign on you lazy bastard) yeah we were skint but we made the best of it, all the best my friend from Eddie Birdie ✌ ❤ 🐦.
Same experience kept me going as only music can
Mea culpa here. I unsubscribed a while back (not due to you, due to my music preferences which have been stuck in the past for ages), but this one brought me back. Somehow I had forgotten how much enjoyment I derive from watching you react to the songs I love! Wishing you continued success.
Dude! You just made my fucking week.
When you first started with Floyd you also covered echoes at Pompeii , if you get time can you cover echoes live in Gdansk, it will blow your mind what they have done with it, just when you thought they couldn't get any better,
It catch me the last 35 years, still!
Your reactions are priceless. Only a Floyd fan can understand what you are going thro :) Love from India..
All they had to do was fade the wind in as the sax faded out. Easy transition. And they blew it 😆
Its all good. Love revisiting it with you. Been listening to this album since it came out. Never ever gets old or boring.
They lacked patience…..ADHD perhaps…..😏
I think blended right into the deep machine sounds of Welcome to the Machine…not wind…if I recall.
@w.geoffreyspaulding6588 I meant whoever mixed the two tracks into the video. i realize on the original album what the mix was 😀
