Well, what just happened to you, happened to all of us way back when we first heard PF! Welcome to the pleasure dome. Great, great great reaction! Bro you arrive at the top of perfect music Nothing to add Nothing to take out Pink Floyd is just perfection Bro there are a few live concerts that are topppppp
I see this track as music therapy dedicated to their bandmate that can no longer interact with the human world after an overdose of a hallucination enhancer and never came back... That is why so few lyrics are needed in this track and the lines that stand out for me are ..... '' You reached for the secret too soon.... now you cry to the moon'.. they dedicated so much of their work trying to describe through music their need to understand the why and the where of purpose and destination... abstact as they were with this whole concept... it was genius because it obviously was connecting with the listener to this day as if some interaction with the spirit chained to the soul is being called upon to take notice and release... ;)
There's a story behind that track and album. It's worth checking it out and will give you some understanding and background on the band members. R I P Syd and Rick, thank you for years of joy.
Our grandchildren will share this music with their own grandchildren one day. This album is not really Genre or time restrained. This song shows how an empty space on a music sheet can be the perfect fit. This song was once explained to me by a girl who told me... The tension and push and pull of the song is as close to a female orgasm can be explained.
Came for NF and you just keep surprising me. 😂 As I’m a cool 64 years old I cut my adolescent teeth on Pink Floyd. So glad you were turned in to a CLASSIC piece of psychedelic rock. They will blow your mind. Love it. ❤
Pink Floyd is one of a very few bands that actually produced albums that were what we called back in the day, "concept albums" meaning, you listen to the entire album, in one sitting, because all of Floyds music, tells a story...and when you realize that, and that it translates well today...you'll dig Floyd...I promise
Loads of 1970's (prog) rock bands made concept albums. Genesis, Yes, Camel, The Alan Parsons Project, David Bowie, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, Kansas, The Who. Few did it as good and as successful as Pink Floyd.
Aww this song always gets me emotional when the lyrics kick in. Your reaction gave me goosebumps through my tears. I remember my first listen in 1990 aged 14. You've a gift for feeling the music. ❤

Absolutely loved your reaction to this brilliant track man ..awesome, and glad you loved it. There are additional parts to this track later in the album. And, most notably, the beautiful thing about this is Pink Floyd has SO MANY other great tracks that will hit you like this one clearly did. Clear out some time to do so, and enjoy your voyage as you explore, adore, and discover more from these genius musicians...I just can't say it with enough enthusiasm, but there really is so much more for you to discover! 😜👍
Great reaction, mate. There’s a whole other world of music out there where the primary goal of the musicians wasn’t to score a massive hit on pop radio or be loved by the teenybopper crowd. There were many back in the days of Pink Floyd, but also a good number today carrying the torch of making good, original music for the sake of good music and artistic satisfaction.
I don't know how old you are young man but you're a bit older than I was when I first heard this song and album. I was working as a glass collector when I was about 15 in my local pub on a busy Friday night back in 1990 when I first heard this and I just stopped in my tracks because I'd never heard anything like it and the landlady Sheila (God rest her soul) came and tapped me on the shoulder and told me to get on with my job! I used my wages the next day to go and buy the album and listened to it constantly for months because it blew me away so much more than anything else I'd every heard and it's still my favourite album to this day 30 odd years later. You remind me of myself when I first heard it.
I think that was quite possibly the greatest reaction i have ever seen. The physical shock with every change in the song, absolute gold! Please do Comfortably Numb, but the pulse concert performance from 1994, and On The Turning Away from The Delicate Sound of Thunder concert of 1988. Both of these songs will do wonderfully terrible things to your soul, you will never be the same. And Wish You Were Here, a song that can reduce the strongest of warriors to a blubbering mess, and then they will go back and listen again. Unsurpassed genius.
I still remember the first time I saw your video on this song. I think it was a couple of days after you had uploaded it. You became one of my favorite reactors ever. Although I love the PF reactions the most, I'm so glad you're on your musical journey!
I love two things you’ve said to describe Pink Floyd that I’ve merged into one sentence: Pink Floyd uses music to paint a tapestry of emotion. Nailed it! Coming back to watch this one again and again.
That is just an ever so small sampling of the greatness that is Pink Floyd. Be warned, if you decide to go down this rabbit hole, it runs very deep. You will never be the same. I would suggest Comfortably Numb and/or Sorrow from the Pulse concert. Pure epicness. Great reaction.
Hector I’ve watched this reaction a dozen times and still love it! Watching you morph into a Pink Floyd fan with this song gives me great pleasure. And it started a new direction for Brainsqueeze Reactions which I am hooked on! Please keep up the good work my brother!

In my teens (70's) me and a few friends would drive up to the Lake District (England) to climb and camp from our homes around St.Helens, Lancashire .... Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were the soundtrack to every inch of road covered, from the grey industrial heartlands to the gleaming mountains and valleys both bands accompanied our joy
Love your reaction, it’s like many of us when this album first came out. Literally hearing it for the first time. Welcome to the life of Pink Floyd, you will never be the same. You’re welcome!😎

I knew it was awesome when I first heard it 40 years ago, but it’s been a joy to be reminded just how generational and special it was. From 64 to 80 was a unique time in a music and I think probably the Western music peak of all time. It was too controlled before that and too co-opted after. But that was a sweet spot and this album is smack dab in the middle of it.
Subbed so I can follow you on your pink floyd journey, there really is noone else like these legends, there is a huge catalogue to catch up on amd will take you a while, but I'm here for the journey.

From here, your best two options are to 1) follow this album through to the end and listen to Welcome To the Machine, then Have A Cigar, then Wish You Were Here, then the second half of this song Shine On You Crazy Diamond pts 6-9. Your other option would be to go right to pts 6-9 of this track. Definitely recommend doing a deep dive into their music because every album is this good. Subscribing for more Pink Floyd, man!

That feeling you are talking about is called "Auditory Tactile Synesthesia" and Pink Floyd creates it with almost every song....I would reccomend them doing "Echoes" Live at Pompeii if you get a chance....Where ever life finds you I hope it finds you and those that you love safe and well....AHIMSA!!!!
Thats amazing! Never knew it had a name 🤯🤯⏪️🧠
@@brainsqueezereactions Also check out the experience of 'Frisson.'
you are the funniest reaction i have ever watched my ribs still hurt lol thank you. you have started a journey that i have been on for over 40 years enjoy they are real the album animals will blow you away
This has always been one of my favorite mellow songs!!
If you wanna see them doing this stuff you need to react to Echoes live from Pompeii next. Don't worry there's no crowd noise or bad sound quality or anything. It's just them, no crowd, playing in the famous Pompeii amphitheatre. It's amazing.
Such an awesome performance. It's crazy that 4 guys can make that much noise 😂
yes, both parts, too!!!
Well, what just happened to you, happened to all of us way back when we first heard PF! Welcome to the pleasure dome. Great, great great reaction! And PF somehow managed to put the shining, twinkling diamond on sound, so those little twinkling sounds all along are the diamond shining. You hear it shine even "under" the saxophone. Keep on reacting man! And if you expect another band to come close to PF, well, it won't happen.
Ive been listening all my life 😂😂😂😳😳
This is the best reaction to this song I have ever experienced. You are awesome and so real.
We were all tripping when this first came out. High times without a doubt!
Those 4 separate notes when you said WTF are, in my opinion, the 4 most iconic notes in music. My favorite band!
Haunting notes ❤
Well Hector, I've just watched your reaction to "Us and Them" and of course I've had to come back to the beginning of your Pink Floyd journey. I'm 70 years old and have been listening to them all my life... I love your style of reaction and can't wait to follow your journey... I'm going to have a fun evening ahead. You keep on being you and keep on loving the Floyd. Believe me, you will still be enjoying this whern you are as old as me... Keep on Rocking man.
Bro you arrive at the top of perfect music
Nothing to add
Nothing to take out
Pink Floyd is just perfection
Bro there are a few live concerts that are topppppp
I see this track as music therapy
dedicated to their bandmate that
can no longer interact with the
human world after an overdose
of a hallucination enhancer and
never came back...
That is why so few lyrics are
needed in this track and the lines
that stand out for me are .....
'' You reached for the secret too soon....
now you cry to the moon'..
they dedicated so much of their work
trying to describe through music their
need to understand the why and the
where of purpose and destination...
abstact as they were with this whole concept...
it was genius because it obviously was
connecting with the listener to this day as if
some interaction with the spirit chained to the
soul is being called upon to take notice and release... ;)
Brother that was a beautiful and accurate description 🙌
That "ah fuck off" is literally the greatest spontaneous reaction to Gilmours guitar playing I've ever heard lol
The ah fuck off is the best!!!
There's a story behind that track and album. It's worth checking it out and will give you some understanding and background on the band members. R I P Syd and Rick, thank you for years of joy.
I have been told the story and its so sad 💔
@tileux yes. In a sense Pink Floyd at that time was still five people.
What a cringey comment. Calm down sir.
The Pink Floyd rabbit hole is deep. Enjoy the ride ❤
Wow, 13 minutes of joyful eargasms. Fun to watch!
Came for NF and you just keep surprising me. 😂
As I’m a cool 64 years old I cut my adolescent teeth on Pink Floyd. So glad you were turned in to a CLASSIC piece of psychedelic rock. They will blow your mind. Love it. ❤
Ha! Hope im equally as cool at 64 my friend, I had a great time with this track 🤯🤯🤯⏪️🧠
LOL!!! I have heard this song at least 100 times and I still got goosebumps when you did!
Aww this song always gets me emotional when the lyrics kick in.
Your reaction gave me goosebumps through my tears.
I remember my first listen in 1990 aged 14.
You've a gift for feeling the music. ❤
Welcome to Psychedelic Progressive Rock!!!! If you do, do it !! This is where its at. Go for it! Yes you should be tripping! Or at minimum highly stoned.
🤣🤣🤣Great reaction!!! Nanna here
Welcome to the world of the Classic rock!
So happy you did album version.
That's how we heard it
First.
You have no idea....
A bit now... It is an experience a musical story. 45 yrs 1000's of listens. Never loses it's spark...... Your life is forever changed.
THE RABBIT HOLE IS AN AWESOME RIDE.

Just watched again🤣
Can't give you another like lol. Yep its a free musical buzz.... add a little something...nice glass of wine etc... Just enhances the experience. My 60 this Tues. Yard work today get my stray cat ready for winter.... I will play this on vinyl cranked.
My neiubours know it well lolol. I'll have a drink for ya! TIME would be a great next cut a little head up the song is called "Time" hence what you hear first so prepare yourself. Cheers
@@loisr3970 Ha the commemt and love is better than any like 🙌🙌 Im just glad you enjoyed and looking forward to getting to TIME and other classics very soon! ⏪️🧠
David Gilmours guitar is the most emotional in rock history and you should check out a live performance, preferably the Pulse concert - it will blow your mind
I like to watch´you so I don't feel alone with my excitement for the music. you do a good job expressing your feeling about the music. Thanks for that. Love from Denmark
I have been listening to this for 50 years. It puts me back in to reality. Enjoy bro. You are on a journey . A lot of us have been on 🥰
Absolutely loved your reaction to this brilliant track man ..awesome, and glad you loved it. 😜👍
I can deffo feel your excitement in the comment and I love it 🙌🙌🙌 consider me excited!
Thats really nice to read thank you, and the journey was so good! Part two to this will be coming Sunday (shine on)
I truly think that anyone who has had the pleasure of listening to this masterpiece is indeed fortunate. It doesn’t get better than this.
You GOT them dude ,everything done by Floyd is a trip .
They deffo made an impact to my brain!
@@brainsqueezereactionsWait till you see them live at the pulse concert Comfortably numb is a must.
I was creased when you shouted ya dirty bastard 😂 awesome reaction mate
Hector I’ve watched this reaction a dozen times and still love it! Watching you morph into a Pink Floyd fan with this song gives me great pleasure. And it started a new direction for Brainsqueeze Reactions which I am hooked on! Please keep up the good work my brother!
Thank you Harry!!!! This was the moment 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Absolutely my favorite band ever! Never get tired of listening to them. Music that flows into you.🔥🔥🔥🔥There are so many excellent songs and albums! I agree with Sydnee free bird 😁
It was just insane!!!! Fliwd through you is great interpretation
I still remember your first reaction when you commented that there's going to be a lot of greatness from this band so much foresight Mr Hector luv your honest reaction keep up the marvellous work
LOVED your reaction! From 71 - 79 the greatest music ever made! It will live on for millennia... from Meddle to the Wall it really is incomprehensible. Others will give you the back story of this track, but you have literally landed in the middle of some of the best music ever made... enjoy the rabbit hole!
Welcome to the Machine! PF is a bottomless rabbit hole of masterpieces. Loved the reaction!
There's music and then there's musical masterpieces. Pink Floyd was the masterpieces!
Welcome my son ....welcome to the machine 😂...glad ye enjoyed the masters at work ...also enjoy the rabbit hole ma friend ..superb as usual
That was a great reaction man and welcome to the world of Pink Floyd, continue your journey with a visit to the 'Dark Side of the Moon' 👌✌
Part two of this track coming Sunday 🙌🙌🙌
This is probably the BEST music reaction I have EVER seen. You seemed to understand this music on a deep level, and I felt your reaction! Thank you!
Thank you my friend! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Dark Side of the Moon all in one go - its constructed like a symphony and is best heard all in one hit. Its widely regarded as the best rock album ever recorded and was in the US 100 Album chart for a staggering 13 years. It really is a work of genius.
13 years!!!!!! Holy bajesus!
@@brainsqueezereactions Dark Side of the Moon came out in '73. When I graduated high school in '84, the album had been on the charts continuously since its release.. and kept going!! In total so far, it has been on the charts something like 962 weeks.
If there is any music out there better than this, l haven't found it. Pink Floyd reigns supreme over everything else, period....
@Brainsqueeze.reactions... Hi Hector would love to talk to you too my friend but how do l go about it? I am a bit thick with technology 🤣
Floyd are some of the GOATs… what a sound… influenced everybody.
Thanks for the reaction!
Suggestion… get Lyrics to the rock songs, they can be super deep… and layered with the instrumentals.. enjoy!
I wish I could hear this for the first time again.
It was just crazy!
That would be wonderful 🙂
Uffff yaaaaaa❤
And to boot, these lads were probably about your age when they wrote this masterpiece .
Gooseflesh is how you know it's real. I'm getting excited waiting for the drums to come in 😘
Loved ur reaction!! I'm almost 50 and always loved Pink Floyd....their music still gives me goosebumps. Hope u embark on a journey of discovery! Hello from N Wales
🏴🙌🙌⏪️🧠
Whoa! The freaking memories! I’m loving this as much as I did in the 80’s! 🤯
Omg!! My dad used to love pink floyd! Still does, he used to call it his driving music😂😂had to click on this! What a contrast to what you been reacting to😂🔥 gotta admit this is some sexy music! Never appreciated this when i was young, always used to think my dad was nuts listening to this!🤣🤣🤣💯your reaction priceless!!😂
Ive never experienced anything like it ever! Was actually bleeding amazing 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I come by every few months to revisit this ❤️
I'm 61, Floyd is, was, and always will be my favorite band. Your reaction is priceless (watched it 3 times). Their concerts are as visually appealing as any ever filmed. PULSE AND echoes at Pompeii will do you in.
Man. Pink floyd is a number 1 must to go through. Its a rite of passage into manhood or womanhood.
Yep pretty much my thoughts on my first listen this is an absolute masterpiece 👌
I keep coming back to this reaction. It's incredible to watch that moment when Pink Floyd changes someone's life in an instant like it did mine. No one has been able to put into words that feeling. Your reaction, your face, like wtf?! Fantastic. Hope Roger, Nick or Dave get to see this
Man, this was a great reaction.
Welcome to the Machine - yes, as with so many tracks it captures life
Shine On You Crazy Diamond...
Welcome to the world of Pink Floyd. So many innovations for the years these albums were released. If you like the blues, dive into The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon. If you're from the UK, it's your heritage and in your blood.
Surely the four most famous and recognisable notes ever played
That reminds me at 12 when I discovered this gem back in 76. What a slap through my face.
Many people say when it comes to Pink Floyd , you don't listen to them.......
You experience them
Not too shabby for a couple of your "homeboys" I've been a fan for 50 years...you are headed down the greatest rabbit hole in music history...Rock ON!!!
Top notch reaction, to a top notch song. Quintessential song in their discography. It represents all the best from this band. The outro with the saxophone bass to tenor I believe, kicks it into the stratosphere.
Those 4 notes at 5:30 have always sounded like a calling out to their friend Syd. A "are you alright" kind of mouring loss sound
Haunting notes ❤
I've never seen anyone react to music so wonderfully aggressively, lmao. You could tell you were really feeling it which makes for a super enjoyable reaction. Nice one.
