Mark The amount of bands, guitarists and singer's who claim their inspiration to getting into music is because of Pink Floyd and that they were brought up listening to Floyd..!! Hiya Mark it's Dahmer's Umpalumba chocolate 🍫 dude, giving a follow up to Dogs off The Animals album..!! As you know I grew up listening to Floyd getting stoned to them right through my teenage years, early 80's onwards (ie) was a right of passage growing up in Liverpool listening to Floyd, don't think I knew 1 person who wasn't Floyd mad..!! The Wall 1st album at 11/12 when it was released, and in school cos of Another Brick in The Wall we'd have sit-ins in the school yard refusing to come in , went on for weeks/months..!! Due to the fact that in early 80's the teachers would knock fuck out o you for trivial miss-behaving, so gave us an anthem to rebel to..!! Anyways then obviously got in Floyd's other album's DSOTMoon, Wish You Were Here and the rest but 1 album that took me years and years to fully appreciate was Animals..!! And now it's my favourite Floyd album ever..!! The whole concept from Dogs to Pigs to Sheep is the GREATEST LYRICS Roger Waters has ever written (ie) Dogs the Businessman who take advantage of everyone and everything Due to pure GREED.. Then the Pigs who are the Tyrannical Tyrannts who rule the World the 1%'s (Basically The World Order) who control the wealth and keep their feet on our necks to keep us submissive and subservient...!! And then us finally the ordinarily common people who Basically do as we are told to keep the status quo...And then their is Gilmour's guitar playing and solo's + Rick Wright's amazing keyboard playing and Nick Mason keeping the bass and phenomenal drumming..!! The most absolute complete social commentary in an album of all time..!! As I think I've told you I was at thr Earls Court Pulse Tour concert + saw Roger Waters in 2018 in Birmingham on his Us and Them Tour and now I'm so lucky to tell you I'm going to see Roger Waters again on the 31st May again in Birmingham at the same Stadium The Attiva..!! Can't wait I'm so excited and I'll let you know how musically and visually Roger's concert is in a couple of months... so to all the Floyd haters "Go Fuck Yourselves as Floyd is for Love and Worship..and now I'm lucky enough to be about to see them LIVE for the 3rd time
Yes! Yes! Dogs is about the type of person that wants to climb the social ladder anyway they can, ruthlessly. And then being screwed over by younger dogs ... and the Pigs. Which should be another listen!
Often a measure of a band is how they perform live - Try watching Floyd playing "Sorrow" at the Pulse concert, (in 1994, (I was there)) and you'll swiftly see that Floyd is not "just" a studio band.
Yes lol! Glad you chose this one! My mouth hurts from grinning so much while watching this reaction! It's kinda fun in a sadistic way to know what's coming next in the song and if a "OH FUCK OFF" is coming or not lol. I know you said it's not possible to do a whole album, but if you do Pigs and Sheep, that's basically the whole album! Keep the reactions coming mate!
I literally love all the "unenamored" with this music, the way they react to it. I'm a 1965 vintage and first heard them when I was about 10 years old. It hasn't let me go since. I know all their songs and I always smile when I see the reactions of people who don't know them. They are mostly young people and Pink Floyd almost always becomes their favorite band. It follows that this music can never die out. Let's remember that this is music that is 50 years old! And it's so modern and all the lyrics are so current. Thank God for giving us all Syd, Rick, Nick, Roger and David...
Pink Floyd exists for me outside of time. They don't fit into any era, their music transcends the sounds that identify any era, from the 60s to now. That's part of why it'll live forever. Plus, it's f*cking beautiful.
First time hearing this was in 1978 as a sixteen year old who knew nothing of the Floyd. Me and my mates all dropped acid, went to an older friend's apartment and started passing the bong around. Without warning somebody put this on the turntable and before we knew it, our entire perspective on (well just about everything, but especially music,) was changed forever. We just sat back and held on for dear life while the Floyd took us far, far away.
Also forget to mention, I love your swearing and comments along the way - you are being yourself, so keep it up. I also enjoy the fact that you listen all the way through without stopping.
Easily one of my favourite albums hands and feet Down!! I mentioned before David Gilmore does vocals in the first part, and Roger Waters does the out tro vocals. I just noticed it a few years ago when I listened to the whole album.
I was 21 when I discovered this CD and have played it many many times are that time. Sometimes three to four times on repeat. Now I'm almost fifty and still live this album.
I can see you’re having real second-by-second reactions and I love it! It reminds me of myself at age 17 when I found Pink Floyd in 1979. Taking incredible journeys in my room with headphones on or just lying in bed. Absolutely mind blowing and world changing. At age 60 now, it is so gratifying to see new people experiencing the same wonder that I once experienced. Thank you so much for this! Stay open and receptive like this your whole life and you’ll be a happy man. Best of luck to you!
There's absolutely no music on earth like this. Nor like any of their other stuff. Who are/were these people? How did they come up with it? I don't know but feel so blessed and lucky to have this band fill my ears and brain. Nothing else comes close
In my opinion, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin set a standard of musical excellence that all other rock bands of the 70’s aspired to meet or exceed. The result was an astonishing amount of amazing music from multiple bands. You could include The Beatles among the standard-bearers too. I encourage you to continue exploring Pink Floyd, then check out Led Zeppelin, and try out the other bands being recommended in the comments. So many brilliant songs by so many artists and all because these guys set that bar. Many other bands rose to that bar with completely different and original sounds. This Classic Rock rabbit hole is huge but full of treasure. Enjoy the ride.
Pink Floyd’s PULSE Concert is outstanding - their finest music played to perfection - some with enhanced versions, accompanied by a light show that appears linked to the instruments. Breathtaking.
Yes, we have arrived. I have been looking forward to this for some time. Time to enjoy. Thanks in advance for doing this reaction and all the others. Also, remember there is another band called YES.....good stuff. "Roundabout" ... "Your move/I've seen all good people"... "Close to the Edge" .... "Yours Is No Disgrace" ... Heart of the sunrise" .... "And You And I" and "Starship Trooper" ..... that is seven tracks right there so if there comes a time when you want to hear another brittish band from the same time period as Pink Floyd.....
"Pink Floyd wrote dogs!" is an often read or heard comment when it comes to epic music... Myself I heard it from 2 different Professors🤓, one music, one from politics, both said that dogs is one of the most relevant songs of the last century for them. Roger Waters is playing it on his tournees till today and updates it in his shows with current themes, last time with Trump and Co 😎 It is even more relevant today then one of these days in the year of album release
Ah, Dogs ...predatory... then ruthless pigs... Then Sheep that'll be most of us. Great lyrics and never has resonated more. Written 45 years ago but could have been written today.
Yay ! Welcome to the prog rock family 😁. I've got a permanent smile whilst watching your reactions to Floyd. You take us prog rockers right back to how we felt when we first heard em. This track is the Dogs bollox and I was lucky enough on my 1st hearing of having the band standing in front of me ! Bingley Hall, Stafford in 77' at the tender age of 16 . You've got some catching up to do..Ya lucky Fukka.. I'm envious of all the great 1st time emotions you're about to go through. .
This track is truly stellar. SHEEP is another standout from Animals, and is definitely more standalone than some other Floyd tracks, but a perfect companion to DOGS. You've done one track from The Wall (which is the most narrative-heavy of their concept albums) but some of the tracks from that are far better with context. Some later Floyd tracks that are standalone and top quality are HIGH HOPES, SORROW, and ON THE TURNING AWAY.
This brings such joy to me, seeing the younger generation listening to what i consider the best music of my era, I am 60 and I was at the Animals Concert in 1977 at the Milwaukee County Stadium. There were 66,000 people cramed in. They floated the pig you see on the album cover over everyone but when it got in the parking lot it exploded and damaged cars but we all thought it was part of the show. Everytime I hear this I think of the magical day in my life.
Two of my favourites are from there 1971 concert at Pompeii: Careful with that axe Eugene & One of these days. Take a look if they fit in your schedule, I would be thrilled if you could do them. Oh, if you like to some Floyd Blues, listen to “Shamus” on that same concert, (I hope I have the title right).
I just love to see someone get as excited about hearing this as I did when I heard it for the first time when it first came out. Heard it a million times by now but I still love it. I saw them twice. Wish I could again but those daze are long gone now
"And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone Dragged down by the stone (stone, stone, stone, stone, stone)"
When listening to Pink Floyd, don't worry about trying to be cool, just let it take you wherever they want. The best way to listen to PF is with headphones, in the dark, preferably reclining. You don't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd, but you need them to enjoy drugs. Love your reactions to the greatest band ever!
Yes, Yea and Yes. But I still reckon it's best to listen through decent speakers and amp cranked up so you can "feel" the bass, which you don't through headphones - although through headphones is great too because you hear better stereo and subtle things you miss with speakers. In any case, it doesn't matter just so long as you are relaxed (whatever way) and ready for the journey.
No one should ever hold any thing back when listening to Pink Floyd but in most cases they pull you in and there’s no holding back all you can do is go with the flow and vibe in your own way until they bring you back just enjoy the journey it’s music for mind and soul The Cerebral poets of rock n roll
This song is a masterpiece! Your reaction to it is great Hector!!! Pink Floyd has a unique song from every album. There are no 2 alike. Enjoy the Pink Floyd journey it’s a long peaceful one that lights your soul on fire 🔥! Animals is based on Animal Farm from George Orwell. Dogs are the police, soldiers, and business men protecting the Pigs - the elite ruling class while the sheep the rest of us are servants to the other animals. Check out Pigs then Sheep! After that you should check out High Hopes and Sorrow from Pulse tour. They are all epic masterpieces. 😊

I hope this is the start of your journey with Floyd. I strongly encourage you to listen to their entire catalogue to get a full appreciation of their genius. Every album is different. It is great to get introduced to the "big four", DSOTM, WYWH, Animals, and The Wall, but don't forget 6 albums before them. They were making amazing music before they got "popular".
Dude, you are fun as hell to watch with. It’s like turning on a friend to something new, and there’s nothing more gratifying for a music lover than seeing someone else love a song as much as you do. Big thanks from Seattle area!
I remember when I was 12 years old, I went to Austria with the bus. A 12 hour trip. I got this tape from my dad, said I had to listen to it. So I did….reluctantly, he of little faith ultimately listened for the entire trip to this album over and over and over again, I just couldn’t stop and 35 years later, still can’t. Even the making of this album cover is a thing of legend. The floating pig, Algae, got loose on the second day and floated over to Heathrow. They had snipers to shoot Algae down if he got loose, but they weren’t there that day. Pilots flying into Heathrow were reporting that they were seeing a floating pig and they had to shut down the airport for a while while the Pink Floyd crew retrieved Algae.

They are masters of transitions
I'm so excited every time I see a Pink Floyd video from you!
This is the greatest song ever recorded… from my favorite album of all time
I literally love all the "unenamored" with this music, the way they react to it.
Hear,Hear
You have been going down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole. You are welcome!😎
Every thing pink Floyd is a story and can be linked
First time hearing this was in 1978 as a sixteen year old who knew nothing of the Floyd. Me and my mates all dropped acid, went to an older friend's apartment and started passing the bong around. Without warning somebody put this on the turntable and before we knew it, our entire perspective on (well just about everything, but especially music,) was changed forever. We just sat back and held on for dear life while the Floyd took us far, far away.
Also forget to mention, I love your swearing and comments along the way - you are being yourself, so keep it up. I also enjoy the fact that you listen all the way through without stopping.
When the Gilmour solo hits felt like a tomb opening after 7000 years
That's David Gilmour, The Lord Of The Strings.
Pink Floyd, "Welcome to the machine", with head phones. And all brought to you by the 1970's
Your reaction are as awesome as Pink Floyds music is. Well done mate!
I’m here….another fav! Let’s go! 👏👏👏
Great seeing Animals getting the attention it deserves
Been so long since I have had headphones, I am jealous. I remember listening to this with headphones decades ago and it was quite the experience.
Your new full time job is bringing us the joy of your reactions to all things Floyd.
I love the way the guitars harmonize in this song and throughout the animals album
Easily one of my favourite albums hands and feet Down!! I mentioned before David Gilmore does vocals in the first part, and Roger Waters does the out tro vocals. I just noticed it a few years ago when I listened to the whole album.
This album was based on George Orwell’s Animal Farm
I was there when this was released and was 18. What a trip. I have listened to it hundreds of times. Your reaction is priceless!
There's absolutely no music on earth like this. Nor like any of their other stuff. Who are/were these people? How did they come up with it? I don't know but feel so blessed and lucky to have this band fill my ears and brain. Nothing else comes close
i get the same feelings even after 45 years of listening to this song. it takes you on an incredible journey.
Couldn't agree more.
And Sabbath
Who is Led Zeppelin..? 😉
Then there is Steely Dan
💯💯💯💯💯💯
This. I'd say start with Heart of the Sunrise.
Yes! Yes! Roundabout is a great intro.
Awaken. Endless Dream. Perpetual Change. ...
The day just keeps getting better! I absolutely love how the guitars come in. They absolutely tell a story and it’s so emotional! 🔥
"Pink Floyd wrote dogs!" is an often read or heard comment when it comes to epic music... Myself I heard it from 2 different Professors🤓, one music, one from politics, both said that dogs is one of the most relevant songs of the last century for them.
Roger Waters is playing it on his tournees till today and updates it in his shows with current themes, last time with Trump and Co 😎
It is even more relevant today then one of these days in the year of album release
Having so much fun here with my fellow “Floydonians” Great channel. Woof!
I'm envious of all the great 1st time emotions you're about to go through. .
Yup, yup.. good man. Now Sheep! Then 'One Of These Days' off of the album 'Meddle' Keep it going!!
The only problem with listening to Dogs is now I have to (HAVE TO!) go listen to the rest of Animals.
Wish I could again but those daze are long gone now
"And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone
Dragged down by the stone (stone, stone, stone, stone, stone)"
When listening to Pink Floyd, don't worry about trying to be cool, just let it take you wherever they want. The best way to listen to PF is with headphones, in the dark, preferably reclining. You don't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd, but you need them to enjoy drugs. Love your reactions to the greatest band ever!
Hey Michael, Don't tell him what to do. He hates that.
No one should ever hold any thing back when listening to Pink Floyd but in most cases they pull you in and there’s no holding back all you can do is go with the flow and vibe in your own way until they bring you back just enjoy the journey it’s music for mind and soul
The Cerebral poets of rock n roll
One of my favorite albums is “Animals”. “Dogs” is an awesome track but so are the rest in album. Can’t believe I bought this album in my teens even without hearing any of the tracks. I fell in love with it at first listen.
If you have time to spare, give album “Final Cut” a listen. Lyrics are awesome.
Great always to see and hear your reactions. You’re not the only one who feels this way when listening to Pink Floyd.
Ha ha haaaaa I loved the "get fuckeds". If that ain't the kind of reaction one has listening to this, one is dead.
Looking forward to your reaction to Pigs and Sheep. As someone who has listened to Pink Floyd for over 40 years there’s nothing better than seeing people discover this bands music for the first time. Love your reactions and good music should make you feel al kinds of different emotions. Cheers from Australia.
Just binge watched all your floyd vids. Great stuff!
Absolutely love your Pink Floyd reactions. I'm so jealous that you get experience them for the first time. I'm sure someone else has mentioned this, but the experience is amplified when consuming the full album at once. Especially Animals, Dark Side of the Moon, and The Wall.
Animals has long been my favorite Floyd album. All true Floyd fans know exactly what you meant when trying to explain the emotional roller coaster they put you on.
It just does not get old, still get goosebumps every time. 😊
Aahahahahaaaaa... Now that is how you first experience Dogs. Good work sir. First time I heard Dogs as an adult I had to go have a lie down after.
Here is an amazing song from an amazing band, Led Zeppelin "Dazed and Confused"! This song blew me away when I first heard it, it's just a monster tune where at one part their lead guitarist is playing his guitar with a violin bow!
Sweet so glad you got here. Now for a quickie head back over to The Wall and listen to Mother Short and definitely sweet
Never seen anyone dance to dogs before. We’re gonna teach you to close your eyes put your head back and dance with your mind like we did back in the dizzy😂
You cant unteach adhd and emotional extroversion .... trust me im kind of an expert on that 🤣🙌⏪️🧠
Hey there! GREAT reaction! We've been REALLY enjoying your Pink Floyd reactions and searched and searched and realized you have not done "Dog's Of War" from the 2019 LIVE concert. We KNOW this will trigger you BIG TIME and cant wait until you try it. We will be holding our breath! Thanks so much for being YOU.
I'll add to my list 🙌🙌🙌😊 Thank you for watching 😊😊😊
And I'll probably die watching pink floyd but will go out with a bang!!!!!
Musical geniuses. Rock had quite a few. and their music is as relevant and amazing FIFTY years later.....that is when you know it is genius.
That is the most fun I’ve ever had watching a reaction. I absolutely loved watching you listening to dogs for the first time. Dogs is my favorite Pink Floyd song. If there is such a thing. Of course I’ve got about 25 favorite Pink Floyd songs as well. Keep up the good work. That was very refreshing and I was laughing out loud with you. And even screamed a few times. I don’t do much of that stuff at my age anymore. Thank you.
when i got home and saw you were reacting to Dogs I was as excited as you. it is one of my favorite albums. I'm 52 and have been listening to pink floyd for 35 years and they are absolutely number one for me. so excited to see pink floyd still touching people today like they did for me all those years ago. your reactions are the best and put the biggest smile on my face. can't wait for more
Im hooked to PF.... literally addicted and now opened up more doors! Led Z, Stevie Ray and sooo many more
@@brainsqueezereactions happy new year mark to you and your family 👪. I'm looking forward to your next Pink Floyd reactions. Have a healthy and happy 2023. I love your reactions to 5his music. Speak to you soon.....
Glad you enjoyed it. Tip of the iceberg, enjoy the journey.
This is not music, it was never meant to be music. It’s an all out attack on the senses. ( as described by critic of the movie “ The Wall”). By the way, don’t view the movie unless you are fully prepared to be Consumed in mind and logic. I enjoy your reactions, keep ‘‘em coming.
I first heard Pink Floyd's Animals in 1977 - it's probably the album I've listened to most of all. Still love it hugely
I promise you are not the only one listening to this my friend
I grew up listening to Pink Floyd in the 70's there one of the Greatest bands and the most unique bands to ever perform....
Yeah, Wish You Were Here is the name of the album and also the name of one of the songs you should check out along with Welcome to the Machine and Have a Cigar. Not a bad song on the entire album. Enjoying it! Keep it up!
Yea!! My favorite guy!! Playing and reacting to a mind blowing group! We need to get into some Led Zeppelin in the future!!
Sunday.....stairway to heaven 😊😊😊😊😊
@@brainsqueezereactions not telling you what to do but giving you some support here..start with the Led Zeppelin live at MSG version or the album version. The Heart Kennedy Center performance is great but if you've never heard Zep it's better to start with Zeps version first
Any thing off Led Zeppelin's first Album, the greatest Blues Rock album ever made.
Please keep the Floyd coming bro! Love ALL your reactions, but please react to the live Floyd songs. You seem to love the David Gilmour solos and the live versions are so much better and longer than the studio versions. Luv you bro! RUN LIKE HELL!
Even though Floyd songs sti inspire and make me emotional I sure wish this was my first time listening!
I highly recommend "Sheep" from this same album!
Hello Sir. May I suggest please, Pink Floyd live at Gdansk. Listen to and watch the live video for Echos. The way the guitar and keyboard talk to each other at the end will bring tears to your eyes. I believe this is the last live performance before Richard Wright passed away and David Gilmore has said he will never play that song again. They're pretty damn good for old fogies! Love seeing the music take over your entire being. That's the Floyd experience. Welcome aboard for the ride of your life.
It's wonderful to feel your energy and enthusiasm to probably one of the most innovative bands in the world and is you say they take you on a trip a journey a rollercoaster rider that gets deep into soul and I am sure that David Gilmore guitar strings are attached to his soul
I LOVE that you are diving in face first ! the transfer of thoughts and feelings into words and music has always fascinated me - and no one did it better than Roger Waters and Pink Floyd
Don't worry son.we got it first time round!!😜👈🏴🏴
