I remember when King Cold first appeared (damn I feel old now lol) and in school we were all talking about what a powerful character he must be as in the canon at the time he was just as powerful in his second form as Frieza was in his fourth form with cybernetic enhancements. Then one kid was like "We don't actually know that's his second form, maybe it's his first and he's huge, maybe Frieza is still a small child" and our minds were blown xD

I think it would be better to just create a different version of cooler (sorta like broly) instead of just making another boring ressurection of F story, plus, I always thought Cooler in Z was boring, he was just freeza without anything that made freeza entertaining.
I like the idea that Cooler is technically more powerful than Frieza, but that to get that far Cooler had to train and learn techniques, unlike Frieza who is almost as powerful as Cooler is without even trying.
Power level values are as useless as yamcha. I can't help but think people who care about them are missing something important about the nature of dragon ball.
But Yamcha isn't worthless. He kicked the shit out of someone STRONGER than Perfect Cell, and he's one of the few Z Fighter that uses his own original attacks.
I love DBZ as much as the next guy but we all know that the series isn't the best written thing out there( well atleast Z isn't), in fact by the buu saga it's just a matter of the plot deciding who is stronger and who will power up. So I mean it would seem kind of obvious that power levels would be shown, as many see them as the most logical way of gauging fighting ability despite the fact that the good guys can just disregard them when the plot demands it.
That and their bodies can survive a serious amount of punishment. Frieza got bisected at the waist on Namek and was still alive and well afterwards. After that he took an angry kamehameha and then the explosion of Namek on top of that and he still survived. Cooler (movie-only character so take it with a pinch of salt) managed to survive as just a small portion of his face inside of the Big Gete Star, after he got blasted into the sun via his own supernova attack. King Cold is kind of the exception here, at least in the manga (which is the true canon material). He dies immediately when Trunks blasts him through the chest with that energy attack, though in the anime he lingers on a bit longer until Trunks delivers the final blow. Also, Mecha Frieza still appeared to be alive after getting vertically cut in two by Trunks as well, he was still making vocalized noises and such, and then of course when he got brought back in RoF, he was still alive despite being in pieces.

I truly think Frieza is such an iconic villain in the Dragon Ball Z universe was all the myth and hype that surrounded him . What he was doing on Namek was ridiculously amazing , he didn’t even stand from his chair and he already had like 4 dragon balls . As well his henchmen Zargon won a fight against vegeta once . All the frieza arc was amazing because every time we met someone crazy strong like the ginyu force members you still had in the back of your mind frieza is like 10x stronger than they are . Sincerely I loved the forms and the overall calmness and expertise of him during most of gokus fight . And just to be fair he lost only because of his ambition and not lack of talent . By far my fav in db!
To be fair, Freeza's 4th form shouldn't be any weaker than 3 million, as that was Goku's stated powerlevel and they went toe to toe. 2,4 million is actually Vegeta's power after his last Zenkai, as he was superior to the 3rd form, but still easily outclassed by the 4th. Freeza also said that he devised his transformations to contain his power, so he probably cannot power down below a certain threshold in his true (4th) form. As for his 2nd form, one mustn't forget that he powered up once while in this form before transforming to his 3rd, so his initial level was "over one million", but his maximum could even go up to say, 1,4 million or so. Only after that did Piccolo take off his weighted clothes to compensate and got the upper hand again.
It is a fact that Frieza's in his final form is at 120 million goku in his base form was at 3 mill and ssj is about a 50x multiplier bringing goku's powerlevel to 150 mil

I like the fact that metal cooler got stronger and stronger as he fought others, his only mistake was that he deliberately exposed his core cooler to vegeta and goku, if he didn’t do that he would have probably one and would slowly become the strongest in the universe
I really appreciate the namek saga. To me, if i were there during the whole ordeal, it would be like a terrifying horror movie. You're stranded on an alien world with no way of escape. There is an army of bloodthirsty aliens wiping out all life in the cruelest ways possible. They're powerful. Far beyond you in every way. But their leader, an alien unlike anything you would have imagined, is stronger than all his troops combined. He looks like a literal cold devil. He can transform into more haunting forms where he just gets stronger and stronger. Pretty soon, everyone os dead except you and a few others. The only person that stands a chance against him is wildly outclassed. The monster, a total sadist, executes one of your best friends by lifting him with his mind, causing him to swell a bit before exploding.. Then your only chance of survival snaps, gaining the power to destroy him. The planet is LITERALLY dying. Storms everywhere, swirling, boiling oceans filling up with magma churn while quakes level entire mountains. You must escape, but have almost run out of time. You make it to earth. Time passes. Your father is still lost in space. You feel terror as you sense that horrid monster approach earth. His ship lands. Troops come out, and then comes the monster. This time he is partially made of metal. The cold, unfeeling monster now looks more menacing. And whats worse? Not only is he here for revenge and wanting to wipe out all life... but another of his kind is with him... but this one is MASSIVE... A teenager approaches out of nowhere, and you fear it's all over, when his hair starts to glow....
Watch the movie again and you'll see that Goku managed to hit Form 4 Cooler several times and did damage every time. His fifth form is definitely stronger than Frieza but his fourth isn't very strong.

Made my Freeza race Character for Xenoverse 2, named him Frosty, face is similar to that of Cooler’s final form. Rumored to be born in an alternate timeline where Beerus was killed, Frosty was chosen to take the mantle as a God of Destruction(which explains why my Freiza Race Character is seen wearing Beerus’s iconic outfit). Frosty is not like Frieza and Frieza’s family when it comes to being a Tyrant and does not fight for evil, but is still as skilled as a fighter as they are, even refusing to say no to worthy challengers he spots, even as a God of Destruction, and would even call Saiyans monkeys. Moveset is a mix of his race and his role as a God of Destruction, from the Iconic Death Beam to the Hakai(if it were to ever become a usable move in the game), can also transform into Golden Frosty in case he ever ran into someone with any power that can surpass even his power as a GoD. Power levels are only partially canon. And yes, they mean something - but ONLY in the Saiyan and Frieza sagas. Power levels in later sagas or in DBS are just bullshit.
It's really weird. Super Saiyan Kakarot and 100% Final Form Frieza are almost equal (I say this only to have a Frieza form to compare with Super Saiyan, don't try to correct me). Then Kakarot gets Ascended Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan, Full Power Super Saiyan (I'm referring to the different grades of SSJ), Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, and then is at a good level with Super Saiyan Blue. Frieza, however, goes from Super Saiyan level to Super Saiyan Blue level with four months of training.
Why did they have to make Frost evil? It was a nice plot twist, but I feel like they made it up on the fly. It seems hard to believe that everything that he said was just an act. Sure, the part where he preached to the audience seemed a bit forced, but that fits the "good Frost" character just as well as the real Frost, and most other things he said before he beat Goku all seemed very genuine... Also, it's stereotyping the Frost Demon Race as evil, which is not true and plain racist.

Don't think you can really be racist against a fictional race, not unless that fictional race is basically meant to serve as an analogue for a real-life race/culture/religious group, in which case the racism is more directed at that real-life race. Anyhoo, Frost doesn't turn evil in the manga, there's no great revelation about him actually being an evil space tyrant who creates wars to then 'save' people from them. Rather, he just uses that needle trick because he doesn't see the problem with it, he doesn't think it's dishonourable or evil in any way.
Obi-Juan Eh, the "racist"-part was mostly a joke to emphasize my annoyance. I'm also generally against the idea that any species can be evil as a whole. Sure, Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Xenoverse show us that the Frost Demons do not have to be evil, but I believe that's not really canon...
martijn van weele Heroes and Xenoverse are non-canon, unfortunately. Still, I'd say they serve well enough as indicators that the Arcosians/Frost Demons are not all evil in canon. I've always felt that it was just Frieza and his family that were the evil ones, and considering their fame is so widespread across the universe, and because they're the only members of their species that pretty much anyone else in the universe sees, everyone assumes that people who look like Frieza and his family are evil tyrants.
But with actual training wouldn't frieza's original forms power levels be higher then they were in the dbz arc in the movie or db super? Since he actually trained I mean. Cause he was able to beat Gohan in his first form.
In Dragon Ball Super, Frieza first form is stronger than ssj3, also Gohan is far more weaker so his power level decreased a lot, and for Frieza's final form i think it's around slightly weaker than SSG.

Cooler was my favorite he was always stronger then frieza it took two super sayien at there peak to get one form out of him just imagine who stronger he will be if he didn’t die
Cooler wouldn’t have gotten as strong as Frieza because Frieza never trained and got so strong after training for just months to reach golden form which is almost on god level(power wise) and Cooler had to train his whole life to not even be on par with a super saiyan. Also, Cooler isn’t canon so there is no “if he was still alive” due to the fact that he doesn’t even exist in the real DBZ world.

well they are only bulls*it because the characters can supress there power levels so it was used as a way to make villans underestimate them but we cant suppress our power or sense it so they help us
Power levels tell you how strong a person is, an fist rule for you is that normal humans like you and me have a Power level of 5, now compare us to characters in the anime and you can estimate their true Power, so if lets say if an Alien came to earth with aproximetly a Power level of 1000, that would mean that this particular Alien is as strong as 200 human beings.

I love DBZ as much as the next guy but we all know that the series isn't the best written thing out there( well atleast Z isn't), in fact by the buu saga it's just a matter of the plot deciding who is stronger and who will power up. So I mean it would seem kind of obvious that power levels would be shown, as many see them as the most logical way of gauging fighting ability despite the fact that the good guys can just disregard them when the plot demands it.
Friezas race have two advantages against others, they can breath in space and also are all nudists!
That and their bodies can survive a serious amount of punishment. Frieza got bisected at the waist on Namek and was still alive and well afterwards.
After that he took an angry kamehameha and then the explosion of Namek on top of that and he still survived.
Cooler (movie-only character so take it with a pinch of salt) managed to survive as just a small portion of his face inside of the Big Gete Star, after he got blasted into the sun via his own supernova attack.
King Cold is kind of the exception here, at least in the manga (which is the true canon material). He dies immediately when Trunks blasts him through the chest with that energy attack, though in the anime he lingers on a bit longer until Trunks delivers the final blow.
Also, Mecha Frieza still appeared to be alive after getting vertically cut in two by Trunks as well, he was still making vocalized noises and such, and then of course when he got brought back in RoF, he was still alive despite being in pieces.

I truly think Frieza is such an iconic villain in the Dragon Ball Z universe was all the myth and hype that surrounded him . What he was doing on Namek was ridiculously amazing , he didn’t even stand from his chair and he already had like 4 dragon balls . As well his henchmen Zargon won a fight against vegeta once . All the frieza arc was amazing because every time we met someone crazy strong like the ginyu force members you still had in the back of your mind frieza is like 10x stronger than they are . Sincerely I loved the forms and the overall calmness and expertise of him during most of gokus fight . And just to be fair he lost only because of his ambition and not lack of talent . By far my fav in db!

To be fair, Freeza's 4th form shouldn't be any weaker than 3 million, as that was Goku's stated powerlevel and they went toe to toe. 2,4 million is actually Vegeta's power after his last Zenkai, as he was superior to the 3rd form, but still easily outclassed by the 4th. Freeza also said that he devised his transformations to contain his power, so he probably cannot power down below a certain threshold in his true (4th) form.
As for his 2nd form, one mustn't forget that he powered up once while in this form before transforming to his 3rd, so his initial level was "over one million", but his maximum could even go up to say, 1,4 million or so. Only after that did Piccolo take off his weighted clothes to compensate and got the upper hand again.

The only issue is Cooler's power level. He really wasn't that far above base Goku in his normal state.
base goku would be around like 5% of frieza's power, cooler rivaled frieza, cooler would no where be near goku's base state.
Watch the movie again and you'll see that Goku managed to hit Form 4 Cooler several times and did damage every time. His fifth form is definitely stronger than Frieza but his fourth isn't very strong.

Made my Freeza race Character for Xenoverse 2, named him Frosty, face is similar to that of Cooler’s final form. Rumored to be born in an alternate timeline where Beerus was killed, Frosty was chosen to take the mantle as a God of Destruction(which explains why my Freiza Race Character is seen wearing Beerus’s iconic outfit). Frosty is not like Frieza and Frieza’s family when it comes to being a Tyrant and does not fight for evil, but is still as skilled as a fighter as they are, even refusing to say no to worthy challengers he spots, even as a God of Destruction, and would even call Saiyans monkeys.
Moveset is a mix of his race and his role as a God of Destruction, from the Iconic Death Beam to the Hakai(if it were to ever become a usable move in the game), can also transform into Golden Frosty in case he ever ran into someone with any power that can surpass even his power as a GoD.

It's really weird. Super Saiyan Kakarot and 100% Final Form Frieza are almost equal (I say this only to have a Frieza form to compare with Super Saiyan, don't try to correct me). Then Kakarot gets Ascended Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan, Full Power Super Saiyan (I'm referring to the different grades of SSJ), Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, and then is at a good level with Super Saiyan Blue. Frieza, however, goes from Super Saiyan level to Super Saiyan Blue level with four months of training.
Why did they have to make Frost evil? It was a nice plot twist, but I feel like they made it up on the fly. It seems hard to believe that everything that he said was just an act. Sure, the part where he preached to the audience seemed a bit forced, but that fits the "good Frost" character just as well as the real Frost, and most other things he said before he beat Goku all seemed very genuine... Also, it's stereotyping the Frost Demon Race as evil, which is not true and plain racist.

Don't think you can really be racist against a fictional race, not unless that fictional race is basically meant to serve as an analogue for a real-life race/culture/religious group, in which case the racism is more directed at that real-life race.
Anyhoo, Frost doesn't turn evil in the manga, there's no great revelation about him actually being an evil space tyrant who creates wars to then 'save' people from them. Rather, he just uses that needle trick because he doesn't see the problem with it, he doesn't think it's dishonourable or evil in any way.

Still, I'd say they serve well enough as indicators that the Arcosians/Frost Demons are not all evil in canon. I've always felt that it was just Frieza and his family that were the evil ones, and considering their fame is so widespread across the universe, and because they're the only members of their species that pretty much anyone else in the universe sees, everyone assumes that people who look like Frieza and his family are evil tyrants.

Power levels tell you how strong a person is, an fist rule for you is that normal humans like you and me have a Power level of 5, now compare us to characters in the anime and you can estimate their true Power, so if lets say if an Alien came to earth with aproximetly a Power level of 1000, that would mean that this particular Alien is as strong as 200 human beings.
