King Cold is likely in his second form bc when we see Frost transform he has the same transformations as Frieza, so it seems these forms are a part of their race.

Honestly, Cold probably just likes how imposing the taller, muscular form makes him appear. His base/true/final form and first form make him look too small, and the third is a bit too grotesque and monstrous. The second form looks more befitting of a King; add to that the fact that (beyond Beerus who he seldom dealt with and Buu who'd been sealed away) he didn't really ever need more power than the second form gave him.

Fun fact:when you listen to Bardock theme"solid state scouter"(my favorite DB theme) it lists the power levels of all the characters at that time and it goes all the way to 530,000 Frieza's 1st form
Logically Frieza if he trained, I mean really trained, he would surpass Goku and Vegeta. It took many years for Goku and Vegeta to get where they are, while it was only a roughly a year for Frieza to get where he is. Of course Toriyama will never allow this, plus saiyajin fans will get salty too.
@@garrysmith1029 it used to be fun when super saiyan came and nothing could match, but then a few episodes later every saiyan has it and it loses meaning
The whole "not having control" thing could still make sense, as up until that point no one ever went up against Frieza with the Power Levels that Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku had at that point. Frieza likes to torture people, and most blasts he was using during those fights would absolutely obliterate anyone else. So like I said, it could still work if you think about it like that
Looking back on it, Frieza was the first character introduced to have/display more than 2 forms (as seen on Planet Namek). By the post-Tournament of Power, Frieza can remain in his final form as shown in DBS: Broly (meaning he has perfect control over his ki from his second time in hell). Plus Frieza's multiple forms is supposed to be an interpretation of Akira Toriyama nightmares as a child.
That third form will always be my favorite, because it legit creeped me out as a kid. I'd already seen Frieza's other forms on a dragon ball fan shrine, but my first time seeing the third form was when Toonami finally aired the episode one day when I got home from school. That legit freaked me the hell out. Maybe it's nostalgia, but that form was the most enjoyable for me, because it got the biggest reaction from me.

Being cuted by half by himself surviving Goku ssj blast and surviving destruction of planet (frieza didn't die in namek saga but rather he was barely alive so he can become mecha frieza)
@@BizzyIzzy87 trunks had mastered the SS form for years at that point. He had trained with gohan and fought the androids and got stronger because of it And vegeta states that halflings are stronger bc of the human blood
The Cell saga was slightly better overall than the Namek saga, but there's no doubt in my mind that Frieza is the best Dragonball villain of all time and one of the best anime villains of all time.
I always thought of Frieza's lower forms as a series of cryogenic states which slow his aging, attributing to his race's extreme longevity. It's like a butterfly with the ability to revert back into a caterpillar. The idea of his race being capable of bio-cryogenesis also fits with the ice/cold naming scheme of members of his race. I feel like it perfectly explains why he would use those forms.
6:18- What I like about this form is that it's a definite aversion to the monstrous equal weak stereotype- being slow and fragile. It not only looks impressive- a unique looking form that's also visual tribute to the Alien franchise, but it's also can back it up with power and surprising speed and precise beam control- as demonstrated on Piccolo.
We dont know if cell could have gotten stronger, he could absorb all the humans and gain 40,000,000,000 (given the average human PL is 5) then the 2 androids, I say he can only get to SS2 level at the least. Maybe SS3, but that's pushing it. Buu on the other hand... sweet god... if he just absorbed, daruba... then gohan... vegeta, then goku in the end he'd be unstoppable. He could absorb all of earth, the galaxy then the universe. Buus power is only limited to the amount of living beings in the universe, and he can absorb gods, so if he was to absorb Beerus (If kai lived) he'd be the only/ most powerful being in the universe. EDIT: cell could force all the namekians to fuse, then drink all of them.
If Frost has 3rd form that confirms that King Cold is in 2nd form. And it makes sense. The first is just tiny. He’s the king of the universe. No way. The 3rd form is too monstrous for one to be seen as a composed, intelligent being. The 4th on the other hand, while being extremely elegent, is still a bit too short. The second has an imposing frame that allows him to look down on most of his enemies-but it’s not overbearing; he doesn’t look like a savage.
From being cut in half, caught in namek's destruction, beat by a god of destruction, and even a out of control saiyan, frieza is some seriously durable dude. Gets his ass beat quite a bit though. But his trash talk makes up for it. Thanks for making a video on the transformations of my favourite dbz character.
5:00 This is an interesting point when discussing what characters say and what's actually possible. How often when a statement is made about a character's power is it actually the truth or simply them exaggerating. I'd love to see a video on how often it actually happens, and if you took those statements as facts, how much the powerscale of dragonball would get even worse.
I wish the Frost Demon race (don't care if it's not the canon name) in Xenoverse 2 let you transform like this, but in the way Cooler transforms to become stronger.
Frieza having a form that equals SS2, SS3, SSG and SSB and all that damn training over the years in Heaven, the Time Chamber and increased gravity in 3 months is just insane.! Can Cell do it? cus ok fuck if he can, he show up talking about Im Super Golden Cell after training for 30 minutes and drinking a red bull.
So, one could argue that Freeza's transformations as we observe them are actually reversions. He's not transforming forward, he's transforming backwards since him Final Form is his Base Form.
Would you consider the "I cant control myself/power" line more on his mental state since Final form Frieza goes loopy VERY QUICKLY due to set backs as opposed to his "4th" form where he's much more composed.
Well, I know I feel Stupid, but Shouldn't Frieza get a Buff Golden Form and Call that Full Power Golden Frieza? Or is it just my imagination getting the best of me?
I think his 100% full power form is just what happens to his body when he uses all the power he has in his final form. So it isnt really a transformation. But if he wants to use even more power he needs to evolve in order to physically handle more power than his 100%. so a full power golden frieza probably wouldn't make much sense since he's already using more than his full power when he goes into it.
@@fermitthekrog6318 not really because the more you train the stronger you become, se technically he could go 100% but would be like super trunks. Strong but not fast
@@twopeople158 he can make himself stronger by training but when frieza uses his full power in his final form he can't handle it for very long. His golden form let's him handle even more than 100% without the drawbacks.
@@fermitthekrog6318 Nah thats nonsense. The 100% power is quite literally the same thing as master roshis form or even super saiyan grades 2 and 3, the reason theyre buffing up is because theyre trading speed for strength and their body cant balance both so thats why the massive muscle increase happens. Golden isnt "going past 100%" that IS his 100%.
So Frieza more or less selected how his different forms look-which makes some sense because he does state he *chose* gold for his presently-ultimate form-but how does this explain Frost and his forms? Does Frost and Frieza just coincidentally have similar tastes? Frost injects speculation that the forms are inherent/genetic, not a choice made by the individual-which is another strike against Super for me.
It's possible that they have some control not full control over the forms. It's also possible that freizas was just hyping himself up to seem more god like as a fear tactic.
The Frieza race actually have almost complete control over their "Bio-Armor". Lemme explain. Imagine you could.. grow your clothes. Not only grow it but save "outfits you like". You can also choose how it appears. This is kind of how Bio-Armor works. The Frieza race can to a large degree, freely choose how thier forms appear. Their transformations are of their own design. That's why in BotG. He states he chose to make it gold. And that's exactly what it is. He could choose how he wanted it to look. This also speaks to Coolers final form, why he has it and his brother doesnt. Simply because he can. It could also potentially touch on King Colds form. He simply could just like how imposing it is. Which might be why Frieza adopted it.
The most possible form change Frieza will have next could be an extension of Golden Frieza, in buff form or possibly surpassing Cooler's 5'th form and somehow attaining some sort of 6'th form. Sorry for the confusion. -HakaiGold
You know, i never really gave these much thought the past few years. Even with dbza but for some reason i really enjoy these videos. Keep up the good work man
I'd really like to see a video on all the different ways the Dragonball Manga was published(3 in 1,colour books, full arcs) and your opinion on what is the best way to buy it, because I'm really interested in reading it.
Geek I always thought of it as Frieza used to not be able to control his power but over time spent in his first form and him being a "Prodigy" and all he learned how to control his ki better unintendedly do to him suppressing himself which is a form of controlling your ki.
Golden Freiza still annoys me. Simply changing the color scheme just tells me that Japan was just too lazy give Freiza an actual transformation unlike Cooler's, which still looks badass.
I think they did a pretty good job for at least that one episode in super where his cocoon was broken in hell, and then immediately the entire realm’s atmosphere became warped due to frieza simply being free
I think his time is over. In Broly movie he was there to get the punches and just be a tool for Broly and Goku to meet. Now I'm curious about the next dbs movie since at the end of Broly he did said he would come back for Broly, but the question is will they introduce Cooler and reboot him into the story as the more wise and calm older brother to help his little brother out?
I agree, but you have to admit he still has his moments. Sure, they have gone a bit more comedic (though Super has skewed more that way in general compared to DBZ), but every so often we're reminded of how dangerous and evil he is. Look at what he did to some folks in the Tournament, literally torturing them and putting them as close to death as possible just for fun.
Excellent video, Geekdom! Hopefully, should Cooler ever become canon, Frieza would probably attain a new transformation with Cooler’s knowledge (of his fifth form) and if it’s stacked with the Golden-form, Frieza would become a real super beast. I figured that Frieza would achieve that much before the final conclusion of his story.
I feel like that statement of having bad control in his final form is more like how Goku had bad control when he was training to stay super saiyan even whilst sleeping. His "control" was mastered. The entire point was to control the form perfectly. And increase it further when he needs to. But he couldnt ever drop his power low enough for basic tasks. This is what I imagine is the same for Frieza who's power level isn't that much less than a SSJ. We never get to see final form frieza doing anything delicate so sadly can't say for sure though.
You should make another video on this going into how much damage frieza was dealt from Brolly ... honestly think it plays into seeing as goku and vegeta had to leave
Frieza statement on controlling his power/body if I remember correctly was more in line with what he wanted to remedy in super and why he trained with tagoma, not killing his enemy to qiuckly, think of it like this, he can control the percent of power he outputs over all but not the output of energy in each attack, instead of being at 30% and firing a 10% attack while remaining at 30% so he can't torture the enemy really or anything like that ergo his statement of in his second form he won't be as nice as before, pretty much in his first form he can precisely control his attacks and capabilities, and in his later forms he can control the percent he's using over all but not precisely on every attack, he even says this again when he used his golden form for the first time against Goku, he say" good bye, this is uncharted territory for me and I'm not sure I won't kill you to quickly " or something to that effect any way.
I think the fact Freeza’s final form looks the weakest actually makes it more sinister. As soon as he shows off his true power in that form, it really ends up feeling the most menacing of all of them!
His 100% power form on Namek ate thru his stamina like a beast, my guess would be his cyborg form had greater physical capabilities but slightly inferior "power".
12:24 This actually has some bearing in real life. Training is great, but everybody needs rest. Olympic athletes actually take the day or two before the Olympics off and actually “pig out” a bit, and this actually has their body store up additional energy for the big event.
power weighted cell is called that in bodokai because when he returns after zenkai boost to fight gohan ss2 hes buffed up similarly to when he fought super trunks. in the first game specifically.
Freezas final form has always been my favorite design out of any character out any all iteration of dragon ball. It's sleek, understated, and streamlined. There's nothing wasted, no needless frills. The usual bulky musculature used to imply strength is replaced by a form more akin to Bruce Lee's. A toned physique perfectly suited to martial arts. One that implies great speed and agility along with just enough power to be a true threat.
This is kinda badass, Normie Villains: "I must have the power so my nipples can be harder any others" Frieza: "shit i don't want to kill anyone untentionally, i have to get weaker"
Ik this has nothing to do with this video but what if gogeta when he hit broly with his stardust breaker it actually did work and it cleared the evil out of him he just wasn’t pure evil like jenemba so it didn’t kill him but that’s why it kinda looked like he gained consciousness before he got teleported away
I think the most likely answer to one of the namekiens saying freeza could destroy the universe was more by his greed and hatred. Not so much actually destroying the physical universe
He had to have become *verrry* strong by the end, since he pretty much did the hardest work in defeating Jiren (and he wasn't even in his golden form anymore). It's scary to think that he now can master all that power and he's free to be a tyrant once more.
If I remember correctly, it wasn't that he said he couldn't control his body, he said it's harder for him to hold back and accidentally kill his own minions.
That's how I recalled it as well. His full power was too radical for him to safely control.

When it comes to King Cold, I think the simplest answer is most likely the correct answer. He's simply in his own Second Form.
How is that the "simplest" answer?

of course!
Fun fact:when you listen to Bardock theme"solid state scouter"(my favorite DB theme) it lists the power levels of all the characters at that time and it goes all the way to 530,000 Frieza's 1st form
Man I remember the first time I saw Final Form Frieza as a kid. I think that’s why I always like the villains in everything. So much more cooler imo
That's why I never got into the show always another transformation they transform more then transformers do
@@garrysmith1029 it used to be fun when super saiyan came and nothing could match, but then a few episodes later every saiyan has it and it loses meaning

duh.
now black frieza
It’s been a year omg
Honestly Frieza is literally my favorite character in the anime !
He out right stated he chose gold, something about it being a bit garish
The whole "not having control" thing could still make sense, as up until that point no one ever went up against Frieza with the Power Levels that Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku had at that point. Frieza likes to torture people, and most blasts he was using during those fights would absolutely obliterate anyone else. So like I said, it could still work if you think about it like that
"I think Ridley Scott is gonna sue somebody"
Looking back on it, Frieza was the first character introduced to have/display more than 2 forms (as seen on Planet Namek). By the post-Tournament of Power, Frieza can remain in his final form as shown in DBS: Broly (meaning he has perfect control over his ki from his second time in hell).
Plus Frieza's multiple forms is supposed to be an interpretation of Akira Toriyama nightmares as a child.
Having forms that are made to suppress yourself is super unique
I've never heard of something like that before or after Friezas Creation
That third form will always be my favorite, because it legit creeped me out as a kid. I'd already seen Frieza's other forms on a dragon ball fan shrine, but my first time seeing the third form was when Toonami finally aired the episode one day when I got home from school. That legit freaked me the hell out. Maybe it's nostalgia, but that form was the most enjoyable for me, because it got the biggest reaction from me.
And now we have… Black Frieza
In God's those purple crystals on Frezia's head are so clean that you can see the past, the present, & the future on that thing
Fighting against Piccolo,Vegeta , lost his tail because of krillin, tank angry gohan blast , tank kamehameha kaioken times 20 , tank spirit bomb and still can keep up with super saiyan Goku for a moment. What happen if he went 100% at the start?
Being cuted by half by himself surviving Goku ssj blast and surviving destruction of planet (frieza didn't die in namek saga but rather he was barely alive so he can become mecha frieza)
Teisten Sean Well.....they would lose honestly....
Bud Fudlacker Trunks whooped his ass, even in stronger mecha form
@@BizzyIzzy87 trunks had mastered the SS form for years at that point. He had trained with gohan and fought the androids and got stronger because of it
And vegeta states that halflings are stronger bc of the human blood
Well based on research my xenoverse character wins
The Cell saga was slightly better overall than the Namek saga, but there's no doubt in my mind that Frieza is the best Dragonball villain of all time and one of the best anime villains of all time.
frieza is truly the emperor of trash talking but that 3rd form GAVE ME NIGHTMARES
3rd form was so underutilized. Such a terrifying enemy, he had so much potential
Frost used it more!
Kinda crazy how Freezas 100% Power form kinda foreshadows the Ultra Super Saiyan transformation that Trunks uses and is too slow.
Out of all villains in anime Frieza is the one of the most iconic.
So frieza is literally torieomas sleep demons
Jesus. If Frieza is this broken on his own, just imagine the raw potential Cell has if he trained.
He could just explode and reform again and again to use his Saiyan Biology to get stronger each time.
Id imagine since the strongest cells in cells DNA are freizas, there potential should be similar.
You should update this video with his Black Form, although we don't know anything yet about it and how it works
Frieza... I always have a special place in my heart as the greatest Dragon Ball Z and Super villain.
Robbie Fazle same
So, one could argue that Freeza's transformations as we observe them are actually reversions.
It might cost too much stamina to pull off
I think his 100% full power form is just what happens to his body when he uses all the power he has in his final form.
Favorite forms: 3rd form and mecha form mainly because of how difficult they were to draw as a kid but mainly because of the amount of detail in them

"he just goes around talking trash and it looks like he's wearing a helmet"
Pure gold.

Simply changing the color scheme just tells me that Japan was just too lazy give Freiza an actual transformation unlike Cooler's, which still looks badass.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i wonder why
did you forget about super saiyan
Ever since frieza came back for resurrection f, he just wasn't menacing anymore
I think they did a pretty good job for at least that one episode in super where his cocoon was broken in hell, and then immediately the entire realm’s atmosphere became warped due to frieza simply being free
@@evankurasu3190 yh but still i don't get the same menacing feels from him anymore. Basically he's like the team rocket of dragon ball
benjamin bethel indeed. Hopefully, they have a “redemption” arc where he becomes a true terror again
Maybe Frieza could come back with a Blue form to mock Super saiyan Blue.
What i like about dragon ball villains is they have different forms
Frieza 1st transformation"Oh shit here come deebo"
Frieza 2nd transformation "Xenomorph hotdog vendor"
I'd argue "Golden" was Freiza's limit break
Frieza is honestly one of my favorite characters
His 100% power form on Namek ate thru his stamina like a beast, my guess would be his cyborg form had greater physical capabilities but slightly inferior "power".
12:24 This actually has some bearing in real life. Training is great, but everybody needs rest. Olympic athletes actually take the day or two before the Olympics off and actually “pig out” a bit, and this actually has their body store up additional energy for the big event.
It'd be great if Toriyama officially released his thiughts about the power levels both for DBZ and DBS. After Frieza saga and all.
power weighted cell is called that in bodokai because when he returns after zenkai boost to fight gohan ss2 hes buffed up similarly to when he fought super trunks. in the first game specifically.
This is kinda badass,
Normie Villains: "I must have the power so my nipples can be harder any others"
Frieza: "shit i don't want to kill anyone untentionally, i have to get weaker"
Rest in peace chris ayres🙏
Always wondered why frieza didnt or if he even could use his 100% form he used on namek when he got real buff with his golden form
I used to always think his final form looked godly when I was little
"No one stands a chance against Frieza"
Ik this has nothing to do with this video but what if gogeta when he hit broly with his stardust breaker it actually did work and it cleared the evil out of him he just wasn’t pure evil like jenemba so it didn’t kill him but that’s why it kinda looked like he gained consciousness before he got teleported away
I think the most likely answer to one of the namekiens saying freeza could destroy the universe was more by his greed and hatred. Not so much actually destroying the physical universe
Believe it or not, Frieza is the only reason I watched Dragon ball till now. As long there’s Frieza, I will keep watching.
I 2nd form was my favourite by far..the tall bull like character with the horns
He had to have become *verrry* strong by the end, since he pretty much did the hardest work in defeating Jiren (and he wasn't even in his golden form anymore). It's scary to think that he now can master all that power and he's free to be a tyrant once more.
