He stays mostly nice for the first tournament (before the actual tournament with Jiren and Frieza), and apparently uses his poison needle thing out of defensive instinct. Piccolo even comments that he doesn't sense any evil intent, although later on he does say that Frost might end up like Frieza later on, and that proves to be true in the actual tournament of power.
Frieza was such a great villain he conquered planets had a empire spaceships and played a interesting role with the saiyans. Dragon ball has produce some of the greatest sagas over the years but In my opinion the frieza saga is the best.
One of the things I enjoyed about Frieza is that compared to other villians in dbz is that they did so much apart from just being a villian. So many just pop up get beaten

Yeah I tend to pay attention to detail to the DB series. This is part of why i dislike Dragon Ball Super. Alot of established lore and rules were overwritten in Super due to the fact that Akira Toriyama cant remember half of the things or less than half that ocurred in DB and DBZ.

I think it was explained wrong, it’s pretty much just an earthling playing an immersive video game where he is froze, at least that’s what dragon ball heroes seems to suggest in the animations
Metal cooler had the potential to be the ultimate warrior in the universe. After merging with the Big Geti Star he was able to take out SSJ Goku and Vegeta. He made use of instant Transmission even faster and more precise than Goku’s. He learned from their fighting techniques instantly. He had a seemingly limitless number of metal clones(like Naruto shadow clones) and just one of these made G&V believe they were doomed. Goku and Vegeta’s win over him was basically a surprise attack after the they were locked up. He wasn’t even in his humanoid form anymore. Just the remnants suspended by wires. If he wasn’t caught off guard I’m sure he would have continued to be a menace that likely may never have been checked until a buu level villain w magic came along.
What if there was a story of a protagonist who is a non mutant member of that race? Call him "Sub-Zero" or "Nitrogen". He spent centuries training in secret on a planet thousands of times Earth's gravity?

I feel like friezas race has phases. They are born in their 1st form, grow into the second, grow into the 3rd, and finalize into their base. But frieza is such a mutant he can just skip, cooler matured early and added a form, king cold is in his second stage, and chilled is still in his 1st.
