Great vid! Bought mine as a first bike (rode friends suzuki freewind from 1998 for 3months) and I'm so happy, you helped a lot! Compliments from Portugal 🇵🇹
Thanks buddy I will be uploading more videos soon. Get the 2021 it’s been updated slightly, I’m guessing will be harder for you to choose now the triumph trident is out.
I would put in clip on bars or at least flip the handlebar upside down and definitely get bar end mirrors that can fold in. My current custom 250cc has very low and very tucked in clip on bars, so much so that my handlebar passes below sedan height mirrors; I've been spoiled by it so it'll be something to get used to once I get my own CB650R. The tank itself isn't actually too wide for low clip ons; it's the air intakes that get in the way; but I don't think there's a way to reposition those.
Hey man. I know what you mean Harley style to have the mirrors below the bars but I feel that by doing that it would take away your focus too much from what’s happening in front of you. As in your peripherals will deviate too much from facing forward it would be dangerous. But to each their own I guess it’s what you’re used to.
Thanks bro! I haven't had a chance to ride it very far but I've ridden it on a lot of short stints. From what I feel currently is that for long cruising you'll probably need to modify the seat as the original seat is kind of hard (I can last 1 hour max on it without taking a break), some wind protection by having a windscreen for more comfort, and probably reduce the teeth on the rear sprocket if you want more comfort from having lower revs at higher speeds. The seat is the biggest problem if you ask me the other two are just being nitpicking.
I find that when in really heavy traffic and when the bike can only be ridden slow at around 1,800-2,000 rpm, the bike jerks back and forth, stuttering, which is really annoying. I always have to open the throttle hard through that rev range, but jam-packed road condition isn't always suitable for that. I can live with it, but it's far from optimal for my country's roads
Nice. Congrats on your new bike! About the wind, I feel it’s an issue after 120kmh but since it’s a naked I just live with it and not ride too fast for too long (very hard to discipline myself 🤣).
Nice! The 2021 model has some slight but great improvements you should get that one. The typical waiting time for this bike in Malaysia is 3-4 months, I think the thailand factory is producing for the whole world.
@@genxkevin very nice! Just left with picking the right colour. You considered the triumph trident? Apparently that’s the CB650R killer right now. Personally I prefer the Honda’s more mature looks and reputation.

Great review bro, this bike is in my list. Wondering if it a suitable bike for someone coming from 250cc?
Thanks bro sorry for the late reply. Yes definitely a noticeable increase in power from a 250cc. But it is less nimble because of the weight.
I own this bike couple days ago. I have no problem at high speed like 80kmph+. but I am not familiar with gear at low speed.
