  • Can people who have had COVID but have no antibodies still be protected? In other words, can you have COVID immunity without antibodies? I present a peer-reviewed study from the Journal of infection looking at that question. We know that there are many parts to the immune system not just antibodies. If there is protection how does this occur? How successful might this COVID immunity be?

I managed several Covid vaccine studies last year and this is nothing new. We have known all along that natural immunity is both sufficient for someone with a healthy immune system and that natural immunity from infection is very effective and prevents the largest number of people from reinfection.
The agencies are pushing drugs for the general public that are generally not that effective and in many cases make the immune system weaker. Public policy should not be giving medical advice and we should leave it up to the doctors.

So your immune system that works everyday from the day you are born, 24/7 , 365 days a year.
That produces immunity to various other viruses all the sudden sucks at producing it for Covid but a vaccine that is not a vaccine , and be never was.

That per Walensky in 4 videos and Fauci one video , say they non-longer stop infection or transmission or prohibit carrying a viral load is all the sudden going to use the same immune system, is going to produce antibodies , without the full virus in the shot.

The doctor is bringing up an important point which escapes those who spent their formative years watching 2 moronic twerps on TV. Our immune systems are supposed to ramp down when the threat has been neutralized so as long as our recon section (memory B & T cells) have a clear snapshot of the intruder then our immune system can relax. One person commented that if our immune systems were spewing out antibodies that targeted all the pathogens that we’ve been exposed to then our blood would be thick as molasses (High Intensity Health have a video about the risks of thick blood). Our immune systems are supposed to be nuanced. That last word is not one you’ll have come across while watching Beavis & Buttbreath so look it up in a dictionary. You do know what a dictionary is, don't you? I doubt it.

I'm seeing studies coming out pointing to the fact that some folks have a very robust T-Cell system and that in years gone by, may have seen things similar to C-19 (such as Sars-Cov(1) (2002) which makes up 80% of Sars-Cov2, and because of that, their T-cells are killing this virus before it ever has a chance to take hold, hence why you do not see a testable immune response to C-19.

Hi David Hathcock, it seems as usual there may be a few bits missing from this video, forgivable if only because it takes a long time to tell the whole story and none of us actually know it all!.
The general impression that I have formed is that while the 'results' they publish from these studies are not actually wrong they sort of have to leave out many of the outliers!, what they give us tends towards statistically significant norms, so in this context while what they say does apply to the majority of people there are as always many outliers, some for whom antibodies fade away much faster , some who's antibodies last for years!.
One other factor is that we can never rule out re-infection and re-stimulation of the immune system creating fresh antibodies, for this all that is required is a sufficient level of exposure to initiate infection, which can be eliminated within as little as a few hours, but again the antibodies will persist for some time.
I have written this much for you to indicate the fact that there are many ways to explain your presentation and as ever they are not mutually exclusive, there is very rarely just one answer to any biological question!, in fact we must be wary of any such solutions.
      Cheers, Richard.

I hope so, but it's dubious. The main reason for milder disease, once a virus becomes endemic is probably herd immunity, rather than changes in the virus. People can be reinfected, but it's normally much milder than the first time and in the case of COVID-19. it's generally very mild in children, so it will stop causing severe disease, after a few years, even if the virus were to stay the same. This is evidenced by the fact that when groups of people, living in complete isolation from the outside world, first make contact with outsiders, a highly deadly epidemic of respiratory often ensues, which can lead to the extinction of the entire tribe. The deadly pathogen is something common such as influenza, or a common cold virus, rather than something like Ebola, or MERS, but the mortality rate is huge due to lack of immunity.
      www.survivalinternational.org/news/10143
      time.com/3909470/tribes-uncontacted-ethics/
There isn't much evolutionary pressure for it to mutate to a milder strain at the moment. It doesn't cause a significant proportion of those who it infects to become severely ill and/or die. If something like 5% of cases were bad enough to make people bedridden, with a 10% death rate, then it clearly would have an incentive to become milder, but fortunately it's nowhere near that bad. So far it's evolved to become better at infecting human cells, hence the increase in virulence.
I don't mean to be pessimistic, just realistic. There could be other reasons for the milder symptoms in the discovered cases: vaccination, previous exposure, or the disease being spread by younger, fitter people. We don't know enough at this stage.
Fortunately most people have either been previously infected, or vaccinated, so even if the virus doe evolve to be more pathogenic, it's unlikely to cause a massive increase in severe disease and deaths.

We know that our immune system fights everyday. It’s only when our body can’t overcome the foreign objects, we get sick to get more serious defense. With the covid experiences, People in general should take more safety measure: if you have a cold symptom, right away wear a mask; if you feel weak or body stressed, rest at home and avoid Public; take vitamins and do what can boost your immune system; and more. Do your own study

Thanks so much Dr Moran. As I think I commented here before, I was sick from late March 2020 to early January 2021 with multiple symptoms, most I've never had before.
Loss of taste/smell about 8 weeks - boiling stomach 5 wks - gradual loss of energy, going from walking 3 mi with 3 hills in about 55 min, to 1/2 mile slowly, on flat ground, resting a few minutes, and back to my house.
Then developed a tight, unproductive cough, which became productive late 2020 with a thin, white mucus that was extremely difficult to clear.
From Nov 20 to early Jan 21 I was coughing twice a day for about 30 minute sessions of aerobic coughing to clear it, morning and near bedtime.
Were I not in exceptional physical condition at 70, not sure I would have got through it.
Other random symptoms were stabbing but fleeting pains in my calf muscles and ears and a post nasal drip that would choke me if not laying on my side while sleeping. Nasal stuff remains but mitigated by decongestants daily, Azelistine spray and occasional Zyrtec.
At 71 I'm back to active carpentry and workouts, weighing in at about 138 lbs 5'-4" and great physical results at my yearly recently.
I'm thankful as still enjoy long swims, xcskiing, hill walking etc.,etc.
In my adult life past 30, I've had the flu only 3 times. Last flu was early 60's I think. Can't remember a common cold at all, after 40's.
My mom was like that and 3 of my kids got the awards for never missing a day of school through high school.
So with all negative testing through 2020, 3 swabs and one blood antibody - no one believing it was C19 - I can only assume it was and think I have an immune system that was able to defeat it.
This video makes me a bit more comfortable in that assumption.
No one seems to be talking about this aspect besides you that I have seen.
    Thanks again.
PS: the scientists I trust most are Dr Jay Batacharya and Dr Scott Atlas of Hoover Insti at Stanford, and Dr Martin Kulldorff of Harvard.
I spend a lot of time online at Hoover in differing subjects, lectures, panel discussions.

That complexity exists, the neutralizing antibodies prevent most infection. Without those levels you can get infected and spread the disease. Your immune system after vaccination and infection likely will prevent lung infection butt not oral and nasopharyngeal infection. The complexity you refer to takes time and during that time, while you are unlikely to get hospitalized,, you could be responsible for infecting someone and possibly lead to their death. The question is are you an asshole or a reasonable human being. High neutralizing antibodies stop transmission, period. Again it is about reducing transmission not your personal hospitalization.

Excellent! Thanks for bringing this study to our attention. It's always great when science data confirms what we've known already. I think you've made a good point there that in people who tested negative for antibodies, it is likely that the antibody levels are just very low and cannot be detected by the tests, but still sufficient. There has been evidence that our bodies produce some very potent antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 that are effective at nanomolar concentrations.

    • @MatthewAshworth
      @MatthewAshworth 2 роки тому

@@madben9981 Firstly, many deaths are misrepresented and weren't due to COVID at all but rather for other reasons. Secondly, many people die from all sorts of causes all the time. From heart disease and cancer each, you get a lot more deaths than COVID can ever achieve. I don't see the governments desperately trying to reduce those deaths. Thirdly, many deaths in the west happened due to poor management in the hospitals and care homes. Instead of providing early treatments to those who had the disease, they were simply told to stay at home, only for their condition to get worse later on. And then they'd discharge people back into care homes too soon and have them infect everyone in those care homes.
And if you really want some evidence of studies talking about how effective natural immunity is, here you go, the titles of papers you can easily find on google. Happy reading. All are very good papers. There are more, but these should be good to start you off.

      12) Discrete immune response signature to SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination versus infection

It is matter of degree, your personal immunity from severe illness does not protect others. Vaccinated people also have the long term immunity and most studies point to it being AT LEAST as potent as from infection. Most of what else he talks about is what happens as you age, your immune system degrades with age. The problem with accepting prior infection over vaccination is that people will lie about, as Aaron Rodgers demonstrated. The high neutralizing antibody levels represent significantly lower transmission from person to person, it has little to do with protection from severe illness, which vaccines and prior infection LIKELY infer.

    • @MatthewAshworth
      @MatthewAshworth 2 роки тому

@@zaurakdigis That's debatable. Dr Moran has extensively talked in this video about immunity in the absence of detectable antibody levels, so it can be pretty rapid and effective. Moreover, just because antibody levels aren't detectable, doesn't mean they're fully absent. Some antibodies are very potent. If you read up especially about the IgA dimers in the respiratory tract, they are much more potent than the IgG in the blood.
Regarding vaccination, well, there are some elements that might not make it quite as long or broad as natural infection. Vaccines only target the S protein at the moment. This is a fact. So if the S protein changes significantly in a new variant or strain, you'd need a booster. It's why they're pushing boosters now. Natural infection though has you exposed to all surface proteins, so even if S protein changes, your T and B cells can still recognize others.

I tested myself every other day along with my husband, out of curiosity and to see if the at home tests were dependable (they most definitely are).
I never showed a positive, and out of- at this point increasing curiosity thinking I might have been asymptomatic at some point- I requested an antibody test on two separate occasions a few months apart.
I haven’t had a positive Ag test or Antibody test, and I am very curious as to how that could be.
Should I get a T cell test done? I know
There’s a company looking for volunteers. Just looking for an explanation, as I have been exposed multiple times and seem to still be COVID naive.

Dr. Moran, I got "sick" in the end of March 2020. worst sore throat ever, dots on my torso and a big toe infection. All was cleared up in 2 days. I went on with life. then in June of 2020 I had an afib while out on a run. I had been extremely tired daily since march 2020. at the hospital they did a covid test and was negative. Heart had no damage and everything was clear. But this afib event kicked off 18 months of absolute misery. Heart palpitations, skipped beats, brain fog , muscle twitching, muscle weakness. In july of 2020 I had another covid test - negative and my first antibody test - negative. But my immune system was firing and was affecting all parts of me. so, 18 months on Im finally coming around. never had a postive covid test or any antibodies discovered. Im really curious if I had covid but am one of the people that do not have antibodies?

Receiving antibody treatment will only grant a short-term immunity as those antibodies weren't produced by the body and their level will eventually reduce. The key thing to find out is whether your body got a chance to start producing its own antibodies and more importantly the memory cells. If you've been exposed to the virus, you should have some degree of protection. It might be worth checking on your antibody levels a few months down the line.

Could you please elaborate on the differences between B cells and T cells in the present context?

    • @MatthewAshworth
      @MatthewAshworth 2 роки тому +11

B-cells are mainly responsible for producing antibodies, which can attack the pathogens in the bloodstream or on the mucosal surfaces, whereas T-cells tend to be in charge of cell-mediated immunity (fighting pathogens that are inside cells), but some of their roles do affect the activity of B-cells too. There are different types of T-cells. Helper T-cells are like the messengers - they activate different parts of the immune system when the body gets infected, so they activate both the B-cells and other T-cells. Killer T-cells are like the soldiers - they locate cells which have been infected by viruses and destroy them (as infected cells become virus factories and keep replicating the virus). And then there are Regulatory T-cells, which seek out any immune cells which target our own healthy cells, and destroy them (this is to prevent an auto-immune response).

I was sick, assumed it was the flu, in December 2020. If it was the flu, it was a bad one: worst in the middle and I remember thinking, "I see why people go to the doctor when they get this," because it WAS getting harder to breathe. But I stayed home and fought it off, was better after about ten days. Obviously no covid test.
Fast forward two years. I have not flaunted dictates--I wear a mask--but I've never completely isolated. We did family gatherings in 2020, and basically have lived normally in 2021. Masked at stores, if masking was required, but where freedom was allowed (N. Idaho, my church here in Portland,) I didn't. I've been to Mississippi, traveled from Mississippi to Las Vegas (by car) staying in motels and eating in restaurants. Have been unmasked in crowds in Las Vegas. As far as I know, I've not had close contact with anyone who was sick (with anything) but I've had opportunity to get covid unawares. So far, nothing.
(Yes, I have had covid tests.)
Pressure to be vaccinated has been high, not from an employer, as I'm self-employed, but family. The fear of censure, what would happen if I DID get sick, even though I'm not at high risk from covid, but do have a history of extreme immune response to vaccines, I think, actually made me sick at times (prompted the covid tests.) Finally said no, can't fear any more. But maybe I was also "fighting something," I don't know.
What I do know is that the immune system is amazing. I actually did get my antibodies and Tcell immunity tested...negative for both (:-() but that doesn't mean I am not successfully fighting this thing, and as long as I maintain solid health habits (my weight is good, I exercise daily, I manage stress, I do intermittent fasting, I take all the recommended supplements, I get decent sleep, and apparently my white blood cell count is on the higher end of the spectrum (could help!)) I figure my immune system is getting stronger, smarter. (Because if it's as infectious as they say, I've surely been exposed, no?)
We need to let our bodies do what they were made to do. We can be smart, for sure, many of us are not...my daughter is morbidly obese, doesn't even take vitamins regularly, but she's vaccinated. She hasn't been sick, probably has a great immune system, but the vaccine is still a bandaid, gives false security...maybe she WON'T get covid but she's still committing slow suicide, and limiting her options in the short term, barely lives life. It's HER life, but...anyway. :-/

Important tip: DO NOT read out numbers in detail! Say "47,000" and show the precise number "47,123". Processing spoken numbers takes a lot of ultrashortterm memory and causes the listener to miss a lot of subsequent information, up to two sentences. It's a well-known fact among psychologists, neurologists and presenters. Everything else: my compliments!
