If you have an MOS Glock hands down the best overall optic for concealed carry is the Holosun SCS MOS. No worries about a battery dying, direct mounts to the MOS cut, has serrations for gripping and that also make it look like a factory part made for the gun if that matters to you, cowittnesses with factory height sights, is only $350 but has the MRS and green dot and is tiny and easy to conceal.
I run a 507 on a Glock 19. Only issue with the open emitter. In inclement weather, you must be diligent about keeping the optic covered or moisture will collect on the back side of the lens. This will obliterate your sight picture, and is a bugger to clean out.
This, learned it in a class on a day the weather was shit for life but great for training. Transition to pistol! 100 red spots! Need a hood on a OWB battle belt holster. Or a closed emmitter.
I'll say this, I have personally experienced the reason for a closed emitter, do note it was the EXTEREME, Alaska, full snow/rain mixed going sideways with the wind, mud, ice on the ground, water all over; it was a carbine class, came to IA drill time, Throw!, Grab!, Present!, FRACK!!!!! 100 RED DOTS! Yes it's the extreme BUT I experienced it on the training range so! Either! Closed emitter OR a hood on your holster IF a duty/war belt set up. CCW doesn't matter, it's covered. My $.02
Do you get carbon build up on the front lens having it that close to the ejection port? I'm looking to do an eps carry on my P07 but can't decide on what to do with the irons. Currently have Dawson precision fiber optic. Definitely gonna be removing the current rear sight cause i hate the look of the setup in the video with CZ sights. Wondering if i should leave enough room in the back to do a glock dovetail or mill the slide so the eps carry is as far back as possible and just use the dovetail that's built into the optic should the optic go down. If I went that route then there's always the option to put a glock dovetail in front of the optic. Probably not necessary but it does give the option of being able to rack the pistol off a table or barricade one handed without damaging the optic
